1101  Economy / Economics / Re: LIFE GOES ON. on: November 22, 2018, 02:30:24 PM
I know someone that already committed suicide because of these collapsing markets.  People's lives are on the line and Roger Ver and Craig Wright have no issue with crashing bitcoin.  I'm sure a lot of these criminal organizations that use cryptos are pissed and are looking to "take care" of the problem.
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's go to Singapore! We can pay with Btc there. on: November 22, 2018, 02:25:17 PM
Singapore has become one of the most business friendly places in the world with their low taxes and open policies.  They have one of the richest populations because of the economic freedom they provide.  Unfortunately, living there is quite expensive so a normal working person would have a really rough time there.
1103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The fate of the Miners on: November 21, 2018, 03:17:10 PM
Miners with cheap electricity are still making a profit.  Don't be upset because you got squeezed out by living in an area with high electricity costs.  This is how free markets work.  Difficulty will just adjust anyways so there will always be some miners making profit or else no one would even mine.

However, some people do mine at a loss because they don't want a paper trail of buying coins or they don't have access to fiat gateways.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is valuebetting profitable? on: November 21, 2018, 02:57:35 PM
You may be successful but you need a much larger sample size if you want to be sure.  Your also going to need a large bankroll so you can withstand any large losing streaks.  There are opportunities out there for those that do the research and find unknown information or more favorable odds.  Don't expect your strategy to last forever because eventually others will catch on.
1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Last quarter hope? on: November 21, 2018, 02:41:29 PM
I really don't see any changes on the crypto in this last quarter continuous price drop has disappointed everyone in this forum and the market has crashed. I don't think there will be a bull run this year.

Crypto markets can be surprising.  We could see bitcoin triple in a month, it has happened in the past.  My main point is never say never.  Thats why I never advise shorting bitcoin because the momentum can change just like that.  Even if it doesn't soar up within the next month we still get an opportunity to accumulate more cheap coins.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 21, 2018, 02:33:50 PM
Carmelo was always an overrated player.  Just another scorer that shoots a low percentage that doesn't give effort on defense.  Lebron is one of his best friends and he doesn't even want Melo on the Lakers.  Carmelo was never one of those players that could lead a team to a NBA championship, he was more suited as a sidekick role earlier in his career.
1107  Economy / Economics / Re: LETS KICK OUT POVERTY USING BITCOIN on: November 21, 2018, 02:29:23 PM
Bitcoin won't do anything to solve poverty.  Poverty is caused by an unfair distribution of resources.  I know a lot of people on this forum support capitalism but this is what causes poverty.  Everything is done in the name of profit and not for the well being of society.  Einstein and Hawking spoke of the downfall of capitalism and how it would eventually destroy society.
1108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 21, 2018, 02:26:05 PM
Yawn

Nothing I haven't seen before, wake me up when bitcoin hits 50k.
1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Black Friday on: November 21, 2018, 02:20:38 PM
the decline in bitcoin prices today many people experience losses but in my opinion this price decline can be a golden opportunity because it can buy bitcoin at a low price, and I'm sure this condition is only temporary.

This is truly a golden opportunity.  Those that missed the boat before have another chance to get in and make huge gains when the bull market comes back.  We should all be happy we have another chance at cheap bitcoin because of this black friday event.  Maybe we should even be thanking Roger Ver for the hashing wars.
1110  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about crypto currency issued by the government? on: November 18, 2018, 02:36:48 PM
It wouldn't be a true cryptocurrency if it was backed by a government because they would have the power to set inflation and seize coins if they wanted.  Maybe it could work if it was truly decentralized and you were in complete control of your funds but I'm still skeptical.  Why use government currency when we have money backed by the people.
1111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SOLUTION TO KNOW IF SATOSHI NAKAMOTO IS REALLY DEAD.... on: November 18, 2018, 02:27:27 PM
I believe EOS did something similar to this, if coins are not used within a certain time frame the team can seize the coins and distribute.  Some fair points were raised earlier about the issue of someone dying and the coins being lost forever.  A lot of people don't even trust their own family with a private key. I'm on the fence on this one.
1112  Economy / Marketplace / Re: If Newbie Offers Investment on: November 18, 2018, 01:17:45 AM
Some of the newbies on this forum are more knowledgeable than the higher ranked members.  Quite frankly, high rank means nothing.  It just shows that you were here for a long time, it doesn't mean your intelligent or contribute anything to this forum.  That being said, you need to be very cautious when taking investment advice from anyone.
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it good to buy after ICO because price may drop? on: November 18, 2018, 01:05:57 AM
It can be a bargain if you do a lot of research and only invest in projects with a strong team and a clear roadmap.  There are a lot of bargains to be had right now.  A lot of these ICOs will end up being quite valuable in the future, just look at how many times bitcoin crashed but it always came back to new all time highs.
1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you cash out your bitcoins for Black Friday? on: November 18, 2018, 01:01:50 AM
Well what if people want to give out bitcoins for christmas? The holiday season may actually cause the demand for bitcoin to increase.  You don't want to be left behind on the boat when the prices are rising.  The historic charts show that bitcoin always rises a lot towards the end of the year.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Malicious cryptocurrency apps found on the Play Store? on: November 17, 2018, 11:18:47 PM
You have to be extremely careful when downloading a wallet, there are a lot of malicious people out there trying to steal funds.  Always triple check what your downloading and you can look up almost anything on this forum under the alternative clients section.  It's advised to use a separate device if you are downloading anything that may be sketchy.
1116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where were you and what were you doing when bitcoin took this huge $1,000 Dump. on: November 17, 2018, 06:59:01 PM
and what did you think of it, LOL?

For me it was a disaster, I was just getting ready to do some btc transactions, and all deals fell through basically, and there is nothing looming in the horizon.I hope the market recovers fast.

I did pick up some cheap coins however.

What did you do??? Let us know.

Used the opportunity to buy more cheap coins.  This drop is nothing compared to hose that dabble in altcoins.  I've seen altcoins lose over 50 percent within a day before.  Bitcoin is still stable when it's compared against the low marketcap altcoins.  Just wait till the end of the year, this is when the market always picks back up.
1117  Economy / Economics / Re: The production of money... is SCAM! on: November 17, 2018, 06:52:44 PM
Money is just an illusion. It's a way to keep us in slavery.  The elites can't type any number into a computer screen that they want.  They essentially have unlimited money and can do almost anything they wish.  The citizens are the ones that give money it's power by supporting it.  If we all came together and declared the USD worthless it would collapse.  It is just a faith based system.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 17, 2018, 06:35:25 PM
This is just a random thing but I recently saw an interview with Vince Carter and Dirk Nowitzki.  They are the two oldest players right now in the NBA and the only players left from the 90s.  Vince is three years older than kobe!  I can see Lebron easily playing till he is 40 years old.  He will still probably average 20 ppg just like Michael Jordan did at that age.
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The battle between ETH and XRP on: November 17, 2018, 06:25:47 PM
Its really a tough choice to select, but I think ETH is still king. Xrp was a short time profit coin and the foundation says more about that. But on the long run xrp can prove me wrong. But I still  believe its ETH that will always win this battle cos of its function & concept.

I agree with you, Ethereum is the 2nd most used cryptocurrency after bitcoin.  XRP is usually just used for quick pump & dumps.  Also most crypto users won't support XRP because it is a centralized currency.  I own zero ripple myself but I do own BTC and ETH.  Thats not to say you won't make a profit from buying ripple but I think ethereum will perform better over the long term.
1120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does holding really make us avoid losses? on: November 17, 2018, 06:14:32 PM
The thing is holding is the least stressful thing you can do and the market always rebounds.  Constantly stressing over prices everyday will only make you age faster and cause your hair to fall out.  Time and time again holding has paid off and I guarantee it will pay off once again.  There have been so many threads lately about the falling price.
