761  Economy / Economics / Re: France Targets Amazon, Google, Facebook for an Annual $500 Million Tax Boost on: March 06, 2019, 09:06:37 PM
Amazon has gone years without paying taxes.  They just keep re-investing any profits that they have into expanding their business so at the end of the year their profit is zero.  They are playing the capitalistic game while serious needs go unfunded with homeless people starving on the streets.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Nerd money or not? on: March 06, 2019, 08:50:05 PM
Its funny because all the nerds that I know (video game people) none of them own any cryptocurrency.  I consider it to be more of a gambler's money than that of a nerd.   Also a lot of it is just luck on whether or not you heard about bitcoin and had friends that used it on marketplaces.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I won't give up on: March 03, 2019, 05:48:25 PM
Everything is clear and really truthful but bear in mind some people just look for easy way to get rich  so whatever stays on their way will be blamed and judged by them.

It is never that easy to make money firstly, those who believe that in crypto you can easily become rich then also understand that people who have made money also have lost money in the bear market. But if you invest for long term then surely you can get the benefit of it.

That is blatantly false.  People have made a lot of easy money in crypto with doing very little work.  This will be the last chance for investors to make huge gains before crypto becomes completely mainstream.  If you had one shot would you capture it?
764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities you probably don't know were(are) aggressive gamblers on: March 03, 2019, 05:29:33 PM
For a lot of these guys its an adrenaline rush thing.  They obviously don't need the money because they are already very wealthy.  The guys on the other end of the spectrum are the desperate gamblers that are trying to get rich for once in their lives.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH on: March 03, 2019, 05:22:18 PM
shitcoins like ethereum can't solve their own limited functionality and the backdoors they have let alone attempt at bigger more serious stuff that bitcoin is dealing with Wink

Calling the #2 crypto a shitcoin? come on......

Just being objective here, what about that inflation bug in bitcoin that was luckily discovered by a bitcoin cash developer?   That could of spelled disaster for btc.
766  Economy / Economics / Re: What the true believers know but don't express well on: March 03, 2019, 05:04:17 PM
Bitcoin could have another inflation bug or could get 51% attacked and will still hold value, if something catastrophic like another inflation bug happened there would still be tons of people waiting to buy in cheap.  Just the chance of owning the most recognized cryptocurrency as a keepsake is something people will do.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 03, 2019, 04:56:21 PM
People are putting too much bearing on championships when discussing who is the greatest.  I think Lebron is a better overall player than Jordan.  The 6 rings doesn't matter to me because Jordan always had stacked teams and Pippen is better than any player Lebron has ever played with.
768  Other / Politics & Society / Re: De-monetization of basic life requirements and beyond. on: March 03, 2019, 04:53:05 PM
Companies have sold hardware at a loss just to get it in the hands of the users.  One example that comes to mind is Sony and the playstation.  It makes perfect sense to hand out free Amazon tablets or google phones, the amount they will make from all that data will outweigh the costs.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are Mining Still Profit? on: March 03, 2019, 04:41:49 PM
Piskeante if your so sure of Eth going below $50 I would like to see the short positions you are taking.  But you are probably just a troll, doubt any serious investor believes that.  Mining is a brutal business and people always try to deter others from entering because that just means increased difficulty and lower profits.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Couple Uses Bitcoin Wealth to Build World’s First Seastead on: March 03, 2019, 04:29:29 PM
It would have been better if they could of purchased a big piece of land and started their own country.  I'm sure they will do their best but seasteading comes with a bunch of problems and humans are more adapted towards land.
771  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: yobit about to take off ? on: March 02, 2019, 06:40:15 PM
Yobit has been scamming people for years.  There are lots of scam accusations on this forum.  They will selectively scam users that deposit large amounts, list complete scam projects, have a sketchy dice game on their front page.  They are not to be trusted.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are Mining Still Profit? on: March 02, 2019, 06:32:05 PM
A lot of people are mining to generate heat for their house so even if they are technically not making a profit they are still paying less to heat their house so its a win for them.

Also many people have free electricity from rental agreements, solar, hydro, or using company property.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 02, 2019, 06:21:36 PM
Roger Federer - 20 majors
Nadal - 17
Djokavic - 15

Do you guys think that Nadal or Djokavic will be able to reach Roger Federer's majors record by the end of their careers?
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities you probably don't know were(are) aggressive gamblers on: March 02, 2019, 06:15:13 PM
Some people think that Michae lJordan retired from the NBA in 1994 because he was banned for gambling on games.  So then he used the baseball excuse to retire from the game.  Also read that his father was killed over a gambling debt that he refused to pay.  Sounds crazy but maybe it holds some truth.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to send all ETH tokens at once? on: March 02, 2019, 06:08:04 PM
You can already send transactions for less than $0.01 if you are willing to wait for the transaction.  The great thing about erc-20 is that companies can create a digital asset on an established network without the chance of a 51% attack on their own chain.
776  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Inflation on: March 02, 2019, 05:59:09 PM
Bitcoin still has a higher inflation rate than USD.  USD tends to have an inflation rate near 2% with it being higher some years.  People always forget that gold has an inflation rate as well as more and more gold gets mined from the ground each year.  We will start to see some big price increases after the next reward reduction.
777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Screwed Up on: March 02, 2019, 05:54:52 PM
There is a common malware that puts in the hackers address when you try to send a transaction.  This is why it is always recommended to triple check the address you are sending to.  If you are signing offline with a hardware wallet this will never be a problem for you.
778  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Naga trader, what do you know about them? on: March 01, 2019, 07:26:15 PM
I have become very skeptical of any new crypto project/service.  I would not trust anything that is new until it has been fully established and has a large customer base.  There has just been too many exit scams recently for me to trust new services.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH in Bearish Trend ? on: March 01, 2019, 07:00:31 PM
The entire crypto market moves together so I think it is a bit foolish to single out single coins.  Maybe in the future ethereum will start to breakaway from bitcoin's path but it remains to be seen.  Eth is one of the best buys right now considering how low it is down from the all time high.
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wozniak Sold his BTC at the height of the bull run on: March 01, 2019, 06:13:54 PM
Why on earth would he be stressed out, he is already a millionaire many times over.  At that point extra money doesn't matter, it just becomes numbers on a screen like a video game score.  The people that were really affected were those that have a job that depends on crypto prices to stay high.
