541  Economy / Reputation / Re: Faketoshi. How did Craig Wright end up like this on: April 29, 2019, 02:33:14 PM
I was watching some of his presentations the other day on youtube and its easy to see why people are persuaded by this guy.  He does appear extremely intelligent and can be a charming person.

There is no doubt that Craig Wright was around during the early days of bitcoin, the truth is no one really knows if Dave was Satoshi or someone else was.  The early private keys may have been destroyed or lost so just because someone can't sign them doesn't mean a thing.
542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best thing about crypto - many opportunities on: April 29, 2019, 02:25:24 PM
Providing a service where crypto knowledge is needed will most of the time be rewarded generously. Setting up a node and/or explaining it or how a HW wallet works, those kind of things.

Why on earth would anyone pay for advice like that when guides are posted everywhere for free.  Being intelligent won't magically make you money, the real path to wealth is owning something and not working for an hourly wage.
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you like to see Bitcoin accepted? on: April 29, 2019, 02:21:12 PM
The ideal place would be ebay but since the same company owns paypal that will never happen.  2nd choice would be Amazon but they rather create their own coin before they started to accept btc.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin and online transctions on: April 29, 2019, 01:49:10 AM
despite over 2 decades of growth of internet, statistics show that only 10% of retail transactions were conducted online. payment channels such as lightning are a massive opportunity for online payments
That's because online payment that provided by banks and other company are charges too high fee. If we compare it with cash then cash is better because there is no fee on it except taxation. And other bad things is there are many germs on cash money so it's not really good for our health. But if we use bitcoin then we only need to pay small fee and we can send the money anywhere in this world. So bitcoin is very appropriate for this century.

Their fees are high because customers have protection and are able to get refunds in most cases.  If you want a refund with Bitcoin you are screwed.  Also bitcoin fees aren't always low, during the last bull run people were paying VERY high fees.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun stuff to do with bitcoin? on: April 28, 2019, 04:07:02 PM
But there are still bitcoin faucet so why are you making story up. There are still many of them out there. It might seems not profitable again but bitcoin faucet still exist. Well since you are thinking of making fun using bitcoin then maybe you can also try gambling. There are many bookmarker that accept bitcoin just check the gambling section.

Bitcoin faucets are a complete waste of time, you get a few pennies every hour when you can make 100x more money doing anything else.  Maybe faucets for new coins are worthwhile though.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What do people think about bounty now? on: April 28, 2019, 03:48:21 PM
Its comparable to working for tech startups in the real world.  Most will end up failing and if you are getting paid in equity there is a high chance that it will end up worthless.  But those few gems like Google or Facebook make the few willing to take the risk absurdly wealthy.
547  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mental health awareness friends on: April 28, 2019, 03:40:05 PM
RIP

Do you guys know if we have members that are mental health professionals? Surely we can cheer each other up and provide moral support in this thread but it would be really helpful if there are people who know how to properly address issues such as depression.

As mentioned by others early in this thread a lot of people that suffer from depression is because a lack of money.  I doubt anyone here is willing to just hand out money to people suffering from mental illness.  Moral support only goes so far when you can't afford the necessities to live.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have learnt to cash out on: April 28, 2019, 03:31:52 PM
It depends on your target goals. If it's just to make some beer money now and then cashing out regularly is highly recommended. Take profits when you can before it's too late. However, bigger profits go to long term hodlers with more patience

It really depends on what project you are holding, most of these coins will end up worthless.  Only a few of the top cryptos will survive so chances are if you are holding lower tier coins or tokens they will go to zero.  I used to be much more optimistic about low cap altcoins but after this bear market I decided to mainly stick with btc and eth.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is a Bitcoin Millionaire on: April 28, 2019, 03:23:25 PM
I'm pretty sure anyone here or anywhere that holds thousands of bitcoins prefer to not expose themselves. That's pretty much just like asking to be kidnapped or to be targeted by hackers.

People are so paranoid these days  Angry , there are a lot of public crypto figures and how often do you hear of them being kidnapped or attacked? never

I'm not saying its the best idea make all your information public but I don't see life worth living if you are in constant fear and paranoia.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 Reasons why IEO is better than ICO on: April 28, 2019, 03:20:46 PM
IEOs carry the same risk as ICOs its just exchanges are involved from the start.  We all know how shady most of these exchanges are so I would be extremely hesitant about investing into any of these "projects".
551  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading, campaigns, gambling or mining? on: April 27, 2019, 01:50:01 PM
Trading and campaigns is the best. We know that trading is the best way to earn huge amount of money. Anyone cannot earn huge amount of money without trading. But there are risks in trading. So , you should careful about your trading ,otherwise you can't earn money. You can also earn money to signature campaign .

You cannot compare that two, because campaign does not have any risk, and does not require any capital to start. after all you can use both for your benefit, you can compare trading with binary, with bankroll investment, ico investment, minning or something like that. and for me trading is the best

It may not require starting capital but it requires time.  Time is the most valuable thing we have and you can't buy more of it.  You can spend your time more wisely and make a lot more money if you have good ideas and a business sense.
552  Economy / Economics / Re: KYC for penny money? on: April 27, 2019, 01:41:06 PM
I've read some very disastrous stories of identity fraud, a lot of them don't realize just how much damage can truly be done by these types of criminals.  It is a real hassle to try to clear up any of the wrongdoing they do and you can't always get the financial issues resolved with your companies.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death Penalty to ICO Scammers! Are you favor it? on: April 27, 2019, 01:34:34 PM
There are still a lot of new successful projects being launched, turning your back on everything new is foolish and will cause to miss out on some huge gains.  If anything this means less competition for investors so this is actually a good thing if you have a positive outlook.
554  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Im new i have a question about btc and eth on: April 27, 2019, 01:26:28 PM
All cryptos move in the same general direction but the btc ratios can change by quiie a lot.  Thats why most  people suggest putting an equal amount of money into the top 10 crypto coins.
555  Economy / Economics / Re: What currency shall human use when colonizing Mars on: April 25, 2019, 02:53:17 PM
It will be like Star Trek and there will be no currency, this is so far in the future though, we will have automation and resources we can't even dream of.
556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 🌍 Guidelines, how to spot a scam ICO & report effectively. ✔ on: April 25, 2019, 02:47:24 PM
I don't agree with many of your points but I'll touch on a few.

"free airdrop trap"- you must be new here but realize that many projects have had success with free distribution: Nano, NEM, Ripple, hell even bitcoin had free distribution in the early days.

"no usage of token"  Hate to break the news to you bud but most crypto is pure speculation, barely anyone is even using this stuff

"anonymous team" HELLO, satoshi was anonymous

"Mixing name with existing coin" Ok so you calling bitcoin cash, ethereum classic a scam? lol..........

"Disharmonious Distribution" Go look at how large a percentage of coins the ethereum foundation holds, same goes for ripple and those are the #2 and #3 cryptos

going by your rules,  every crypto is a scam
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 25, 2019, 02:43:15 PM
No Hazard in team of the year either. Pogba is a waste of time, all the natural talent & physical attributes in the world but he hasn’t got the hard work or work ethic to be one of the very best.

Happens all the time with talented players, they get paid millions and then they get lazy. The incentive to work hard is out the window after that.
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin can't be banned on: April 25, 2019, 02:38:37 PM
Do you really believe that if any government would want to ban Bitcoin or crypto (like China), they couldn't do it?
Of course they can  Grin
Even in the remote case that it would be technically impossible (and this is remote), banning the use of BTC makes it marginal and downsizes the user base to a few "darknet" participants...
People advertising Bitcoin will say what they need to keep the marketing going, but the truth is that the institutions will have to be on board for massification, otherwise remember that governments hold the power plug, the internet plug, etc

People advertising bitcoin?  I see ads offering crypto services and altcoin projects but I don't see any actual bitcoin ads.  Why would someone pump the bags of others when they don't have a large stake in btc because they weren't there at the start.
559  Economy / Economics / Re: KYC for penny money? on: April 25, 2019, 02:34:04 PM
Doing this is absurd, selling your identity documents for such a meager amount of money would do you know good people. Have some dignity, work and you will be paid to have a very comfortable living.

A lot of people here are living in extreme poverty so they don't have much to lose by selling their personal information.  ten dollars can go a long way in countries such as Venezuela and Indonesia.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 24, 2019, 05:16:16 PM
MOnster game for Damian Lillard, 50 points and a buzzer beater at the end of the game ending OKC's playoff campaign. He is the man. OKC has the lead but blew it off in the last minute. That was a good game.

He was making incredible matches in the regular season but I think that he will be among the MVP of the playoffs if he still continues this amazing performance in the next matches that are about to come.
Also, the second round of playoffs is very promising and we will see interesting matches because top-notch players.
With MVP race for the regular season, he's far behind as Harden, Giannis, Curry, Durant are those big names who can bring this one out, he made his monstrous job today as he's still the main man of the blazers after Aldridge transferred to spurs, with an amazing lineup behind him they can possibly have a chance winning the semis against whoever wins between Spurs and Nuggets,.

The clear front runner for mvp is James Harden, voters will be given to him based on his stats.  Giannis is a better all around player but Harden draws the spotlight.

Luke Walton found another team very quick, almost too quick..........
