1141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto oasis in California on: November 09, 2018, 02:01:33 PM
What do you think: will California become a new Mecca of cryptocurrencies with a new governor - a crypto-enthusiast?

California always seems to be the most forward thinking place in the United States.  All the tech companies and progressive people in California make it a place for innovation.  It's only a matter of time before the giants like Amazon and Google get involved in the crypto sector.  I would like to live there myself but the housing market has gotten out of hand.
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 09, 2018, 01:51:54 PM
Haven't been watching the NBA much this year, getting bored of the three point shooting contests and the lack of inside play.  Seems like the NBA has gotten a lot softer over the past decade.  We need another Shaq type player to come and shake things up.

I'm impressed Lebron has been able to play this long coming straight out of high school and still not have any serious injuries.  His durability is legendary.
1143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHEREUM OR RIPPLE? on: November 08, 2018, 08:57:58 PM
Ethereum is a much better investment over Ripple.  Ethereum has a much higher daily trading volume and a overall bigger user base.  A lot of crypto enthusiasts dismiss Ripple for being a centralized coin as well.  It is sometimes referred to as the banker's coin because of the connection to the central banking system.  I would stick with decentralized cryptos like BTC and ETH.
1144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Central Banks? on: November 08, 2018, 08:48:40 PM
There will always be a need for central banks because of our current lending system.  Right now there are more debts than money to pay everything back.  Our economy can't function without debt as it stands today.  Central banks are creating money out of thin air with fraction reserve lending.  They lend out money that they don't even have, its one big scam.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does hard work in gambling count? on: November 07, 2018, 01:58:52 PM
Hard work won't pay off in games of chance such as roulette or slots but it will definitely help with sports betting.  Most people don't really do a lot of research into the matches they are betting on.  They just throw money at their hunch or favorite and don't look at all the past statistics.  It's possible to be a professional sports gambler but a lot of hard work is involved.
1146  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1000 to spare each month, how would you invest it? on: November 07, 2018, 01:37:55 PM
Right now is the time to buy.  It looks like the bear market is over and the bull trends are starting to form.  I would put most of your money into BTC and ETH and use the rest for promising low cap coins.  Be prepared to hold for a few years if you want to see massive gains.  I firmly believe the total marketcap of cryptocurrency will eventually be in the trillions.
1147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Bounty Hunter Guide: Things I Do Before Joining Bounty Campaigns on: November 07, 2018, 12:55:37 PM
You can do all these things and still end up getting scammed.  Some of the most valid looking projects and exchanges have ended up exit scamming so there it is always risky.  You don't want to waste your time and end up working for free.  I believe your time is better spent working a job in real life or learning new skills.
1148  Economy / Economics / Re: Stocks Just Suffered Their Worst Loss in Months on: November 07, 2018, 12:41:47 PM
A small correction was bound to come. The dollar has suddenly started being stronger so foreign investors are cashing on that instead of the stock's value which in return draws capital out of investments. It'll be up again, the overall market sentiment is still positive.

I can't say this was an unexpected crash.  The stock market has been on a bullrun for the last ten years.  Nothing can go up forever so the crashes will always come.  I think stocks can crash a lot more though, especially in the technology sector.  A lot of these tech companies are extremely overpriced considering they turn little to no profit.
1149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China: Bitcoin Mining Behemoth Bitmain Releases New Hardware on: November 06, 2018, 02:56:25 PM
Crypto’s mining titans have been hot on each other’s heels to compete for the edge in advanced mining hardware;

i wish there was more competition in the mining hardware scene. i feel like there still is a dire need for more companies in other countries that get into ASIC production.
last year when price was rising fast i heard a lot of news about many different companies (like in Japan and Russia,...) were getting in. but i never found out what happened to them. did they eventually start their production or did it die there?

It's a risky business to get into manufacturing mining hardware.  Most people no longer make a profit because of  high electricity costs and low crypto prices.  I believe Bitmain is even starting to panic.  Companies usually go public when they are trying to cash out because they are about to go belly up.  It would be nice for bitmain to have more competition though because they kind of have a monopoly as it stands.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is the richest person? on: November 06, 2018, 02:33:40 PM
I don't get how a person can seize so much wealth all for his own interests, toxic unproductive greediness

Some people have never ending greed.  You think most people would be satisfied after the first billion but they keep going.  At these levels money is basically just a number to keep score like a video game.  They can already do anything they want so the extra wealth accumulated serves no purpose.  A lot of these wealthy individuals are living an unfilled life and are filled with unhappiness.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Selling signal for ETH. on: November 06, 2018, 02:09:51 PM
Hi! As we can see, ETH is collapsing, I got about 40 ETH which I bought for 450$, I know, that was mistake. Please give me advice, should I sell now or take a risk and do it when we reach 150$?

All signs are pointing to a bull run these next few months.  All you have to do is hold your ethereum and the price will be over $450.  I know you may be scared but just have some patience and don't fall for the FUD.  People are just trying to get others to panic sell so they can buy up cheap crypto and make a lot of money.  Stay strong brother.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: November 05, 2018, 04:33:05 PM
Really? A kickboxer? What will it be like for Mayweather, if he goes out to a kickboxing match and doesn't use his legs and just hopes that his system works against kickboxers as well than he is putting himself in danger of losing. If however the match is boxing and the kickboxer can't use his legs than it will be a too easy fight for Mayweather and he will take his opponent down very easily.

There is absolutely no win for Mayweather aside from making himself reminded to everyone again before a big fight against Pacquiao. I honestly believe this fight is insanely useless and will be either really boring to watch if its boxing or will be amazing to watch if its kickboxing but a bad decision for Mayweather if that happens. Kicks can definitely reach further than punches and would be really hard to get away from. Even a blocked kick hurts like hell compared to a blocked punch.

It's obvious that Money Mayweather is just after the payday.  This guy should already retire but his greed is too strong.  On social media Floyd is always showing off Jewels, money, supercars ,and other signs of wealth.  This fight is just another hyped marketing tactic to bring in viewers just like the McGregor fight.  Floyd is a great fighter but his personality rubs me the wrong way.
1153  Economy / Marketplace / Re: OTC and Bitcoin whales. on: November 05, 2018, 03:46:55 PM
OTC has numerous advantages for big investors.  If your trying to buy a large amount of bitcoin on an exchange in a short amount of time you will drive up the price on yourself.   OTC are very common and you would have to be a fool to think otherwise.  These transactions are often broken up as well to avoid detection by other traders.
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value history (comparison to US$) on: November 05, 2018, 03:33:13 PM
In matematicly you can't loose with bitcoin, it has been demonstrated too many times. And the price would not have a big change just like 2017 again i am sure of that too. The bitcoin is / will opening the path of the cryptocurrency and the blockchain for sure but it can't do anything for itself i guess anymore.

I agree with you, demand will only rise while the inflation rate will decrease.  Unfortunately, this past year has scared off a lot of new investors because of the declining prices.  We are still in the early adoption phase though.  The total crypto marketcap is still only 200 billion dollars.  Consider that their is over 10 trillion USD circulation through banks and you can see crypto is still a drop in the bucket.
1155  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am not sharing my crypto love? <3 on: November 05, 2018, 02:46:24 PM
I've explained cryptocurrency to my family and had them set up wallets but I told them to invest at their own risk.  It's sort of a lose lose situation when dealing with investment advice and family.  If they see you make money and not tell them they may get jealous and resentful but if they lose money because of your advice they may never forgive you.  It's sad that money can tear apart family relationships.
1156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin too difficult to understand? on: November 05, 2018, 02:26:09 PM
It can be difficult to learn how it technically works but it doesn't matter.  Not many people know how a smartphone is put together and how it functions.  But like a smartphone, bitcoin is easy to use. I have encouraged a lot of my relatives to use bitcoin and none of them had any problem understanding how to send and receive transactions on a wallet.

1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 30, 2018, 07:50:28 PM
I have no doubt with the quality of engineering/USP in Monero that if the crypto markets take off again Monero will be part of it.

Question is, will crypto at large come back from this drop...

I dont know about "crypto" but Bitcoin should start showing some positivism price wise next year.  At start of the year or at end of the year, that could be debatable.

Bitcoin will be over 10k by the end of this year.  We still have 2 months left which is a lot of time.  I'm not big on Monero because I'm more of a bitcoin supporter myself.  It seems like Monero will be banned by most governments and exchanges are hesitant to allow monero because of regulations.  Plus we can already mix bitcoins if we want to hide our transaction trail.
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: October 29, 2018, 05:15:36 PM
Just another fight so Mayweather can get another huge payday.  I don't think Manny stands a chance if they go through with this rematch.  It's just another pointless hype fight like the Mayweather vs. Mcgregor fight we had.  I think Mayweather will end up like Mike tyson and blow all his money on fancy cars, mansions, and girls.
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: October 29, 2018, 04:43:56 PM
Are you really serious ethereum being called a ponzi pyramid, it sounds funny and unbelievable to refer ethereum as ponzi pyramid. I wonder why it hasn't crash since 2015 since most ponzi barely last 1full year before crashing .

I know, the accusation of being a ponzi scheme is ridiculous.  When you start your own company you own the majority of the shares.  That is the case for founders that start their own coin.  I've heard haters call bitcoin a ponzi scam before so I'm not really surprised.  One person owns 1 million bitcoins ( Satoshi ) so if your going to throw these accusations against ethereum you have to do the same against bitcoin.
