2201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 05, 2014, 07:58:22 AM
What about miners paying power bills?

If someone could be so kind as to find out what KnC and Bitfury/MBP/CEX/GHASH.IO are doing with their mined coins, I'd love to know.  And by find I out, I mean actually find out, not this OTC sales wishy washy bullshit I keep hearing.

KnC stated that they sell all the mined coins.

As for Bitfury I don't know, but they just got a 20M$ investment so I'm thinking that they don't need to exchange mined coins to pay for power+expanding for a while.
2202  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: July 05, 2014, 07:44:19 AM

I can only laugh at the total speed and at the zig zag graph. I am pretty sure that no other big mining operation has this kind of graph which shows ken's level of competence.
2203  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (15GH/S per Unit) on: July 05, 2014, 07:32:55 AM
Seriously puppet why are you OBSESSED with PETAMINE?

Everyone knows how to put numbers in to a bitcoin mining calculator and we all know that "doing the math" is just about as accurate as fortune cookies are.

Sure peta was way overvalued and overpaid for HW and hosting but as far as I know nobody asked you to look in to your magic ball and tell them how unprofitable PETA will be EVERY SINGLE DAY.

It seems that everyone has it's mission here. I bashed/warned against everyone about the whole AcTM/VMC/kslaughter scam very early and I kept doing it from time to time. Avanger is bashing KnC, Puppet is bashing PETAMINE and so on.

Much respect for what Puppet is doing here. I know how he feels right now and I am telling you that all he needs is patience to prove himself and the others that he was right, but the feeling is priceless! Keep up the good work Puppet Smiley

Because NOBODY can predict the next bitcoin difficulty let alone the next 10+. This is why you look like a joke when you preach your estimations as if they are fact.
The only thing that matters are the controllable variables like $/gh, w/gh, and $/kwh. Peta failed each of those which is why it has very little chance of success (at ipo price)

So here you are saying that nobody can predict the bitcoin difficulty, while just a few days ago you were stating that the SP30 won't ROI. Contradicting yourself again! As for $/gh and w/gh the SP30 had the best stats since April, but yet people were complaining about the ROI. Thank you for backing up my view, not your bad intended one.

I'm just wondering why you dedicate all your precious time to lecture the "noobs" in this thread?
No idea about Puppet, but you are dedicating your precious time to bash the SP30 everytime you have the chance so you are exactly like him.

Offtopic done!

When will the next gen be available?

In just 3 weeks! (for those that made the July pre-order) Otherwise just check my sig.

2206  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The mining process...to buy or not to buy..... on: July 05, 2014, 06:20:35 AM
Rely of your current hashing power to pay off new hardware that you buy and may have trouble breaking even?

I have been doing that.

Thanks for answering. I was interested in the mentality of it all since it is such a crazy ass business. I was thinking of getting an S2, but for $1700 that's pretty damn expensive and by itself it will never ROI, but it will if I use my current hashing power. Not sure if I wanna run one from home, since it is another 1000watts.

That's my view. Others may not agree with it. But I wouldn't buy anything with 1W/GH (and higher) right now. Must get better efficiency.

well, there is nothing wrong with eligius pool. I was attracted because of the 0% fee, and i also checked the contributors in eligius pool, there are people with far more servers than me Smiley but as i said, it's trustable all is fine, just i don't agree to that payout policy and i left. this is all, case closed.

There is no problem in not agreeing with the payout policy. The problem is that you didn't know from the start and that you compared 2 pools payouts, but didn't take into consideration the "luck" factor. And you don't have servers, you have miners. Happy mining!
2208  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin difficulty may actually go down in ~10 days! on: July 05, 2014, 03:48:11 AM
Hashrate starting to rise...blocks back down to 10.1

I think it's unrealistic to expect anything under 18.6 next round.

To far off but under 18 seems possible.  !7.9 is possible

18.6 is too much. ~10% I say.

I decided to leave this pool. I am really very worry about the "random" payout of this pool. It's slightly different than other pools.

This are my stats: http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1KVYDjPFTDnBdzqKtsLhevVGLp8Baaognv

I'm always curious about how other people view things.

What is different between what you expect and how the pool actually works?
What kind of behavior do you want to see that you do not see?
Do you think it operates differently than it says it will?

Uninformed noobs. They join a pool and don't even read the FAQ.
2211  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: July 04, 2014, 07:57:27 PM
......
Please note, that you can't achieve the same results, by just putting the voltages. You have to analyse your boards first, to determine what start volts are best for your miner.

Please take note that different voltages for Top and Bottom only work for the 2 type DCR miners.

What's that mean? Bought my SP10 in May 26th.

Go to DCR tab and you will have 0, 1 or 2. DCR 1 is more sensitive to heat than 0 and 2. What's your AC2DC power(in the ASIC Stats tab)
2213  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: July 04, 2014, 06:58:22 PM
I've been wanting to get a steady 1.4TH/s (yes, I know +- %10) but seen so many people getting 1.4, and mine keeps dropping to 1.3TH/s. Here are my current settings, using the latest firmware.

Fan Speed:  80
Start Volts Top: .669
Start Volts Bottom: 669
Max Voltage: .750
Max power consumption: 1260
DC2DC Current Limit: 62

I am running on a 208. Any small changes I can make to raise the TH to 1.4? It did run temporarily on 1.4TH/s, but then slowly dropped down to the sweet 1.3TH/s.

Try Fan Speed 90 for better cooling. Got a DCR 1 miner?

Announcement: Advania DC will soon offer VPN service for miners with private VLAN. I appreciate the support from Advania and all my miners will be hosted with them. Thank you!

How many units were delivered until now? Do we have a forum guesstimate?
2216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does someone with a single wallet with 30k coins not feel vulnarable? on: July 04, 2014, 09:34:21 AM
No offense, but the title and the thread is simply stupid. He is a well known and successful investor/business man with a lot of money even prior to bitcoins. Now he has part of the money stored in bitcoins. Nothing special. Why would bitcoins make him more vulnerable than before?
2217  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: "I am in batch 1 and I am screwed by knc." on: July 04, 2014, 09:18:39 AM
So, I'm looking to get a list together of other people who are in the same boat with a view to pursuing joint legal action if KnC don't honor refunds.

Let us know when/if you start the legal action because I wish to donate something for the cause. Good luck.

You people should take a look on this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622998.0 Find a nice colocation and ship your miners there!

I second this question (switch from the home address to a hosting site), but i thought that a simple email to sales would suffice....right?

An e-mail should do the trick.
2220  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: July 03, 2014, 03:43:54 AM
Apples to oranges comparison.

I ordered 60Th/s from SP tech and I will need to power up and ethernet connect only 10 miners.

If I had to do it with the S3's, I would need 125 miners and 125 psus. WTF.

Spondoolies is a serious company, what they promised is less of what they have delivered, finally, so far.

You mind telling us what price you received?
