zvisha, have you guys underclocked SP10s? If so can you give us roughly power consumption for whatever settings you tested?

I think this will help SP10 owners to prolong their mining if they can get higher efficiency. Just like how Bitmain did to their chips

In my tests I got them down to 1Th/s at 700W. Set start voltage 0.610ish and max voltage at 0.618ish. The miner will start to mine from 0.608 up to 0.616. Let it a couple of hours to settle and then adjust the numbers from there up or down to get the optimum speed/power consumption.

Thank you. Not reading the card in a laptop. Will try tomorrow with a card reader.

Reformat the sucker!

How could I forget about Partition Magic? This solved it!

Couldn't format because I was seeing only a ~300MB partition and nothing else. PM did the trick.
1423  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: September 23, 2014, 09:39:39 PM
paypal news potentially interesting, but I don't see how these two can mix.
Paypal just introduced a new draconian TOS where someone can return your goods full 180 days after purchasing if they are not "significantly as described" whatever that means.
I don't think I will be selling anything of value and, specifically, bitcoin related on ebay/paypal after this POS/TOS goes into effect on Nov 18.
All used miners have to go beforehand, as risking a FULL return after 179 days is too much to consider.

Miners are in small numbers so they don't matter to the whole Paypal&Bitpay mix.

Yes there are other companies that are currently shipping devices with efficiency equal or better than 0.75W/G.

Ok. Which companies? What are the products? How much do they cost?

I only corrected a statement. I'm not getting paid to offer you search services. Feel free to find out by yourself.
1425  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 23, 2014, 09:25:15 PM
Does anyone know if it's possible to restore a microSD card used for SPXX recovery back to its normal state? Right now I only have a 300MB partition on my microSD card.

Try this, should work.

Thank you. Not reading the card in a laptop. Will try tomorrow with a card reader.
1426  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: September 23, 2014, 09:02:57 PM
When its sensible. I don't like updating for one company otherwise everyone would demand immediate updates as soon as anything happens. The guide isn't designed to be that responsible.

And let me guess when you will update you will ignore the past events and you will score companies based on what's going on when you do the update right?

is far more disturbing. Do I get a device which is already broken before it leaves the factory?

Well you don't expect them to fill their DCs with broken miners...

FU Scam Cole! FU KnC!
1429  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 23, 2014, 06:28:25 PM
I'm also very impressed by this. Not only that they managed to squeeze so much power efficiency, but also the size of the device.

Regarding efficiency: Do I understand correctly that 0.75 W/G puts the Prisma at the top in terms of efficiency among devices that are currently shipping?
Is there any other company currently shipping devices with efficiency equal or greater to 0.75 W/G?

Yes there are other companies that are currently shipping devices with efficiency equal or better than 0.75W/G.

Not impressed, Bitmains s3+ is already 0.78 W at the wall and announced the S4 which should be even better (<== just my expectation; no real specs yet) although it should have come out last week.

But how long will it take Bitmain to ship?  For what I hear, they are having problems shipping on time and are having hardware issues.

They already shipped 9 batches!

Now I get it.

Wishing the team at SP-tech a Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from me too!

I'm surprised that the hash rate on EMC hasn't dropped at all.

You don't expect to have their farm in their offices and registered under the same company name right? But I hope someone will tip FTC about EMC!

Hey eleuthria will you uncover any address that was used by BFL in case you spot them? Just for the fun of it...

Just don't pile a lot up so that dogie misses my question again!

1435  Economy / Reputation / Re: RoadStress Reputation Challenge. on: September 23, 2014, 05:25:56 PM
Thank you for the fair review. Following what you said I draw the conclusion that I am not talking rubbish (whatever that means) about the competitor (AM). I am not saying this to win the bet and I admit that the only out of line reply was the "weener" one directed at FC, not AM.

The rest of the trolling examples that Mabsark gave are just normal questions/reality facts. For example the "So chips are being sold, but the dividends are still missing." reply seems to me just a statement of what is going on. I don't see how can this qualify as trolling. It's not a lie and it's not trash talk. It's a pure real fact!

Also "If FC is mining since middle of July when do you estimate that he will share the hashrate?" reply is just a question. Referring to it as trolling is out of the question.

While the other replies might be a bit different only these 2 examples prove me that I was right:

have a different way of digesting the reality and the facts when presented to you and that's why you see it as talking rubbish

@Mabsark want to find someone else to judge this bet?
1436  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: September 23, 2014, 02:04:16 PM
So you might as well stop. Pretty please? You're really detracting from the utility of this thread.[/center]

+1

Not sure what you're expecting to achieve from spamming.

I got my refund from KnC after spamming their e-mails/ticket system so while the forum might not help maybe he should try on other channels.
1437  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: September 23, 2014, 02:01:37 PM
ASICMiner Prisma is based on a proprietary X48 design for BE200. It greatly reduces power
consumption of the device per GH/s compared to the X24 design.

Shipping date: 8th October, 2014 to 27th October, 2014

The Guide is out of date. When are you updating it?

Don't quote bits of the ratings. You're complaining that the guide is out of date, citing a post that was made 9 hours ago....

Fair enough, but you haven't answered me. When will you update the Guide?
1438  Economy / Reputation / Re: RoadStress Reputation Challenge. on: September 22, 2014, 07:49:14 PM
Here's some trolling and presenting opinions as facts.

Here's you using your total lack of knowledge about AM hash rate to conclude that they're just little boys playing in the sand pit. That would fall under trolling and presenting opinions as fact.

Some more trolling:

Some more opinion as fact with a dash of trolling:

More trolling:

More trolling (which stemmed from Spondoolies-Tech account spreading lies):

Wait a minute. I thought we are betting on proof that I am talking rubbish about AM, not trolling.

But even if we consider "trolling" to be the bet reason most of your examples are just reality facts that are equal to trolling for you. As predicted!

I am sure that you, as an AM shareholder, have a different way of digesting the reality and the facts when presented to you and that's why you see it as talking rubbish.

I will PM SebastianJu to debunk your examples.

Over at the hardware thread it's like you can hear the applause and champaign popping.

You are wrong Smiley
