I'm sorry, but wasn't ngzhang part of the Avalon team who did the chips trick? He accepted it back then without saying anything to the customers. What do you mean by the chips trick? The trick that Avalon team pulled with customers chips worth of ~$8M that were supposed to be delivered in July-August. Rumor is they sold it to a third party and then they made paying customers wait additional time. You must remember it. |

Where can I download that version of FW? I wish you had links on your website for these updates as well. I'm not a "super" user which puts me at a bit of a disadvantage when trouble shooting my SP30. I've got the same issue with loop 12 ... I appreciate any help/guidance!
Go to Firmware Upgrade tab and press on Manual Selection then press ok and you can select from a list of FW versions. Be careful what you choose! |

You guys are getting to aggressive. They weren't that incompetent. So the US law lets companies that can't ship stuff to customers to increase the salaries of the whole management without a reason? If that's the case then what's holding companies to issue a $1M or $10M wage per month for the management? Give that wages and in 2 months you declare bankruptcy. Is the law that permissive? Your aggressive herp-derp interrogations are amusing, because all the answers to your questions have already been provided. If you would bother listening to the court hearings, you wouldn't have to look like an ignoramus under the delusion that he's asking tough questions!  I have something more important to do with my free time than hear some court hearing for a scam fail and bankrupt company. I was interested in the regular US law. Back when BTC was truly decentralized -- everyday users mining on any old PC -- this was a great selling point to get people on board with this type of currency. Everyone that had Bitcoin on the network was help keeping this going, but nope -- with the current METHOD used for mining has only one future, and that is eventually ending up with a few huge mining companies.
While the idea that at least several companies around the world would be mining/maintaining the network sounds okay, I still think that is very bad for Bitcoin, but that is exactly where the future for us is headed. You even have the hardware companies deciding they rather mine instead of sell to individuals. Something needs to be changed to give THE PEOPLE back power, which was the whole point of Bitcoin.. At this point every single day Bitcoin becomes less and less for the people..

They managed to not only completely ignore their customers, but to pay people to troll them, while bragging around conferences about their new EVO board, while they should have spent the travel, marketing, personal, etc, costs to ship miners. A valuable skill. As is negotiating deals that would have returned something only to the people negotiating them - that also must be a valuable skill. HashFast was full of people with valuable skills. Hell, they that marketing guy even did a spinoff of this scam. You are just not looking it from the right prospective. I don't believe for a second that piles of the fastest 28nm Bitcoin ASIC ever made sat around collecting dust until they're worthless.
Believe it or not, that's exactly what happened and is still happening, thanks to the monumentally ill-advised and self-defeating move of getting courts and lawyers involved. Some chips are being held hostage by Uniquify/Signetics, with many still in wafers.  As many predicted, the creditor committee has been about as effective as a car with five steering wheels.  What about the monumentally retardness inside the HashFast team who only delivered one single batch of miners until May and no MPP? Chips were sitting on shelves collecting dust long before any bankruptcy started. What about that? Why are you only blaming the move the the courts and not blaming the team that got into this situation? Please tell me more abut the super-duper team and about their efforts to NOT let chips sit on shelves. What exactly did the HF team do to avoid getting into this situation? By the looks they did absolutely nothing or they failed on their every attempt. |

I got the following error: "There was an error constructing your transaction, due to a quirk in the way Bitcoin transactions work. If you see this error more than once, try sending your BTC in two or more separate transactions".
What's up with that?
Edit: I think it might be related to the transaction malleability problem. I have unconfirmed transactions in that wallet.
Second edit: Is there a reason for why I can access the "Transaction Info" window only on some transactions? Double click does nothing, right click>View Details does nothing.

HF didn't anticipate having to spend "all the money" on PCB reworks plus other expenses (and later, refunds). AFAIK, HF did "fully deliver their first batch of miners" or refund the orders. HF was dealing with the PCB reworks, chip testing, cash flow, quality control, and other constraints until May. Obviously Batch 2+ had priority over MPP and only so many boards could be made at a time. Have you been under a rock for the last year? Most of us saw all of this happen as it occurred and don't need a recap... When did HF finished delivering Batch 1? Knowing when I ordered that Bitcoin ASICs and high tech start-ups are very risky, I am disappointed but not going to make a business transaction into something personal (unlike the Butthurt Brigade who need that form).
