If you dey view the good side of internet try to dey checkmate the negative side also. We no fit argue say internet no bring better thing ooo but na so e take come with bad bad things to the extent that some people rely on internet to carry out their evils. For me na 50/50 sha cuz e don make many of us lazy for real life.
Bro na so everything they for this life, e no get anything wey get only advantages, disadvantages must they too, the only thing wey they important be say make the advantages pass the disadvantages, and in the case of the 'internet', na the advantages choke pass oh, the disadvantages wey they am is caused by people wey they abuse am, and you too suppose know say everything wey they this world must be abused by some people in one way or another; if you carry Bitcoin now give example, the network na very wonderful thing, but some people they use am take steal money so them no go catch them, but because of that you no fit talk say Bitcoin no good.

Apart from cohesiveness, Arsenal also has a strong mentality this season they continue to build it in every match, now is Arsenal the main candidate for the title? I know it's too early to say but what we saw in the last 4 games is proof that Arsenal are starting to gain consistency
Quite rightly, and after 4 games who can say they aren't title contenders, i for one wouldn't have said that at the start of the season, but c'mon, they are top of the league after four games, so they can be called title contenders at this stage, maybe as the season goes on into its later stages and they start to drop points often and fall off the top spot(s), then you could prolly said they aren't title contenders, or champion material, but for now, they are.

Having said that, Arteta and his boys have a lot of work to do to maintain their consistency, and to further work on their mentality if they are to challenge City this season, that isn't an easy thing at all to do, City are comfortably EPL champions on anyday, thus if they are to reliquish their title to anybody, that team must be a consistency monster all through out the season.

Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Leicester City's 21-year-old French centre-back Wesley Fofana, with the fee believed to be £70m. A lot of money for Fofan, does he deserve it?
That is quite a lot of money for Fofana, and tbh i don't think he is at all worth anything close to that valuation, but i understand Chelsea, they desperately needed a center back, and whilst the transfer market was drawing to a close, the desperation increased, and this played quite well into Leicester City's hands, as they then capitalized on Chelsea's interest to slap an outrageous fee on their defender, smart move from Leicester City, but then the transfer market is really becoming something else, but i guess it is what it is.

Having said that, that is twice now that Leicester City have received a really huge sum of money for a defender, first it was Maguire, and now it is Fofana, i just hope Fofana's time at Chelsea is nothing like what Maguire is going through at Old Trafford. Grin We'd see how well he does at Stamford Bridge, he seems like a decent player though, but definitely not worth that much.

There’s what we call national dignity, everyone who took our national matter to hold meetings in a foreign land has betrayed our country.
Don't you think you are blowing things out of proportion here bro, to betray the country will take way more than just holding meetings outside Nigeria, take for example, APC have betrayed Nigeria because when they were voted in to lead the country a couple of years back, quite a lot of people had high hopes and aspirations that they were going to be the "change" we so wanted, but it has been the complete opposite since then till now, they have taken the country many miles backward, and the state in which we are in now is prolly the worst in our history. Now that is what you call a betrayal.

Having said that, i respect your opinion that they prolly should hold their meetings within our shores, and whilst i don't think it matters too much where they discuss issues of national interest, i also do not think you are wrong with your own opinion. Prolly that location was the best place all parties could convene at, maybe if it were held at a specific location in Nigeria, some of them might have turned down the meeting for security and personal reasons, thus if they can get a venue that will be convenient for all parties and ensure attendance is complete, then there is no problem with that for now. Don't worry, let us just work together and get our country back, then we prolly might not have to go anywhere to hold meetings of our national interest.

Arsenal game with Fulham on Saturday will be Arteta's 100th game as their manager and tbh when he started, critics believed he'd be dropped by the board but he's proven to be exceptional and I believe he'd lead the Gunners to carrying titles.
The game would be a walk over for them and although Fulham have been impressive in last games, they would find it difficult to beat Arsenal.
A phenomenal feat for Mikel Arteta as a manager, sweeter for him because Arsenal is also a club he played some of his best football in, so doing it both as a player and a manager adds the spice to it, so congratulations to Arteta. Well, quite a lot of people thought he wouldn't make it out of last season as Arsenal manager, especially during the first months of the season when Arsenal were pretty bad and sitting in the bottom half of the table, he was able to rescue the team, and if not for their capitulation in the final 3 games, they should be playing champions league football this season.

Having said that, Fulham aren't going to be an easy test, mind you that they (Fulham) have started very well this season, they drew with Liverpool in their first game of the season, they also have a very brilliant striker in Aleksandar Mitrovic, and i am pretty sure he is going to give the Arsenal defenders a really tough time. Don't get me wrong, of course Arsenal are the favorites to win, but Fulham are not going down without a fight, remember the smaller teams this season are giving the bigger teams a good run for their money, Leeds beat Chelsea, City had to struggle to get a draw with Newcastle, Palace and Fulham drew with Liverpool, Brighton and Brentford beat Manchester United, so it could be that season this time around were smaller teams don't back down, but fight.

Manchester United reported interested to bought Real Madrid player Marco Asensio and Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed this rumour that Asensio apparently will looking for new clubs because he lost his place on starting line up and only being an the substitution for Rodrygo Goes so Asensio targeted this summer he will have new club and if Manchester United serious want him the price tag already published that they have to spend 35 millions Euro to get this player
If this is true, then it is an interesting prospect for Manchester United, whilst it is certain that Asensio has lost his place in Real Madrid's team, as a matter of fact there wasn't a time in which he was a regular starter in the team, but in the past two seasons or so he has greatly struggled for playing time, tbh, i expected him to have left the team earlier than now.

Having said that, if Asensio has decided to move on, and Manchester United are interested, then it is perfect for the two parties, Asensio needs a team he can play more often, while Manchester United needs more quality in their team, so it works well for both of them. Manchester United and Real Madrid have already done a successful business this summer with the transfer of Casemiro from the Bernabéu to Old Trafford, thus they might find it easy to get this Asensio deal over the line, i hope it isn't just rumors anyway.

Regarding tomorrow matches i'm not too excited to bets for the favourite teams because i was slightly dissappoint to see the recent odds for Manchester City and Liverpool that the bookmakers provide low odds for them @1.1 each and this aren't profitable options although probably both of teams will win the match and i expect higher odds although Liverpool and Manchester City will play against weak teams which is on the paper they probably will easily to win the matches
Lol, if it were possible we'd all want bigger odds for the big teams when they play smaller teams in the league, so we could prolly stake quite a lot of money on it, but it definitely doesn't work that way, the bookmakers have to make profits for themselves, and they have to decide the odds based on both teams win/lose/draw probability. City have the greater chance/probability to beat Crystal Palace tomorrow, and Liverpool too ought to beat Bournemouth, so quite rightly they should have smaller odds, whilst the smaller teams get the bigger one.

Having said that, you can stake very high on them for it to be profitable, Grin that is of course if you are sure that they'll win, lol. Or you could put your money on the smaller teams since anything can happen in football. Grin This is exactly how sports betting is, it is quite risky whichever way you look at it, and there are no guarantees or assurances.

Clubs like Chelsea have being on a downward trend since the management crisis started during the Russian invasion of Ukraine and that has pushed the former club owner to sell the club, so since then the performance of the club has not been the same as previous years back. This performance if not improved on will lead the club to a potential relegation zone.
Whilst i think Chelsea can definitely play better and that their performances do not match the lofty standards they have set in England, i think you are exaggerating things here to insinuate that Chelsea could potentially be in a relegation battle, if you are truly a football fan who follows the EPL and the CL as well as other football tournaments, you'd know that what you just said is impossible.

Having said that, Chelsea definitely have to improve so they could either challenge for the title or earn themselves a slot in the champions league next season, anything short of that would be a failed season, except of course if they can make up for it by winning the champions league itself this season. Imo, i think Chelsea are over their ownership problems, they have a new owner now, he has invested heavily into the club, so it should all be good now, and the players have to start doing well when they step out on the pitch to play.

I feel he has become lazy than what he was used to. He used to be so good and so much talent but don't seem much in him now. Turkish league seems like a decent league and hopefully he can develop and still make his way back again into a good team and proper game time.
It was pretty clear to see that Dele was really struggling, it seemed like he had lost his zeal to play football, there was minimal effort from his to try and work hard so he could perform better, thus it was obvious that his career was slowly going down; Spurs tried to cope with him and maybe give him time to start playing much better, but it wasn't working, next was at Everton, he was ineffective for all of his time at Everton, and it was pretty obvious that sooner rather than later he will be shipped out. Having said that, now that he has left the EPL and its spotlight, Dele has a lot of work to do, he should concentrate on his game and try to bring out the best in himself, that is the only way to return to the previous level he attained.

But, now suddenly we have new rumour Bernard Silva wants to join Barcelona even it's not easy for Manchester City to allow this, but things can happen, and we can watch some big movement in De Jong case as well for his potential transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea or Bayern Munich.
Whilst i do not know what is going to happen with De Jong, because there have been quite a lot uncertainties surrounding him, first it was Manchester United, now rumors are saying it is Chelsea and a few other teams, but for now he is a Barcelona player, and with just a few weeks left to go in this summer's transfer window i don't know if he will actually leave Barcelona, but the thing is, if De Jong doesn't leave Barcelona, i don't know what his place in the team will be and if Xavi will use him as frequently as he would want.

Having said that, whilst it is certain that Barcelona are interested in Bernado Silva, and Silva also likes Barcelona, that deal isn't going to happen, at least not now and for obvious reason, maybe sometime in the future it could be possible, but not in this summer transfer market.
2231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Curious Question About Making First or Second Page on a Thread on: August 25, 2022, 04:05:50 PM
The thing that matters is the thread that you are posting in and not the page you post in, if it is a thread that the discussion is a quality and constructive one, and it goes on way past the first, second, third or even fourth-fifth page and so on, then there is no problem posting in a later page on such topics, because for the topic to still be ongoing, it means the discussion is still interesting and not redundant, the only thing you'd do is to read a couple of replies on previous pages so you'd know how to shape your own reply and how you can be constructive with it.

Having said that, there are spam mega-threads, these are topics that the discussion was over many pages before, but the discussion continues with redundancy and unnecessary replies, in most of these topics users plagiarize quite a lot, they just copy what a user posted in the first page and paste it in the 10th or so page; posting in such topics isn't advisable and bounty managers might not be happy with that.

But overall the forum rule isn't against a users posting in any page of a thread you like, but if you care about the forum and want it to be a decent place for people to discuss, you'd select topics to reply to and report topics that are filled with spam for moderators to decide what to do about them. Take note too that how early you reply to a post somewhat depends on how your day went in RL, if you have a busy day, you might meet topics late, but if you are always active in the forum and less busy in RL, you prolly will have the likelihood of joining discussions pretty quick and early.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 25, 2022, 03:25:57 PM
Harry Maguire moving to Chelsea seems to be gaining momentum with each day that passes, and from the look of things if their target man " Fafana" is a failed deal it looks more likely that the United captain could be moving to a new club. But will Manchester let go of him...I hope they will so that the team can have an overhaul for better results!
Lol, do you actually believe that Chelsea is going to sign Harry Maguire after all of his horrendous performances for Manchester United, i mean, that will be unacceptable by Chelsea fans and everyone associated with Chelsea, it isn't a move that shows Chelsea have any intent to win trophies this season, i don't know how the rumors started, but i can't imagine them being true, definitely not.

Having said that, reputable sources have also reported than there is no discussion between Manchester United and Chelsea for the sale of Harry Maguire, and i expect it to stay that way, if Harry is going to leave Old Trafford, it would definitely be to a smaller club, for a low transfer fee because his performances have been poor, thus he can't cost much, and he'd have to move to a smaller club to try and regain whatever form the media claimed he had prior to Manchester United signing him.
2233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS is surging due to Antelope on: August 25, 2022, 07:39:16 AM
EOS can still bring something to the table, yes we can't compare EOS to BNB but its good to see a project come back from the dead, since 2020 EOS is not the type of project I want to look into twice, I never liked it but maybe this is the beginning of something new for EOS, only time will tell.
I don't believe in the maxim that projects do come back from the dead, i might be completely wrong anyway, but i don't think it works, don't get me wrong, i am not talking about a project just merely plunging or depreciating in price, no one can consider that to be a dead project because every projects plunges at one time or the other, whilst the good ones appreciate again, and the ones that have no utility or are a scam coin never appreciate again.

Thus having said that, when a coin/token/project is somewhat dead, with no demand, hype or development, no matter how hard the team behind the project tries to awaken the coin, it doesn't work, that is prolly the condition that EOS are in right now, you definitely can't be sure the token will come back to be useful, or if the hype they are currently creating now will last more than a few weeks or thereabout.
2234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Updates on: August 23, 2022, 05:42:09 PM
Whatever updates coming out right now regarding Luna isn't really relevant tbh, people have lost money and trust in it, and quite a lot of them might not be able to ever recover from their loss, do you believe such people will care about anything regarding Luna again, other than how they can get compensated, if possible anyway. Imo, there is no hope for this project, i know quite a lot of people are still hodling this coin and waiting for a miracle to happen, and i wouldn't really blame them, but those i'd blame are the people who still bought after the crash occurred, expecting a different outcome from the project, it is just basically rinse and repeat, with people hardly ever learning from the experiences of others.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 23, 2022, 05:26:12 PM
Aubameyang coming to Chelsea not quite a good news, after all the main problem of Chelsea is Midfield backup and a well strategize and calculated finisher in front. Thomas Tuchel really need to work on these two positions in his squad, because it might definitely turn out to be a mistakes. Pierre Aubameyang knows what he's doing and Xavi like him and wants him register for Barça but knows what's best for him and wants to go back to premier league where he's gurantee enough playing time on the pitch.
Chelsea need a striker, and Aubameyang is one, he might not be all that young and he prolly has played his best football in the past, but he is still somewhat good, he can score goals and he will definitely help the team achieve their goals this season; another thing you ought to take cognizance of is the price Chelsea will pay if they sign him, it is a fair price, and if they are to go for a younger or much better striker, they might have to pay ~3-4 times more of that money, which i doubt the board will be willing to pay.

Having said that, there is so much quality in the Chelsea team, so if Aubameyang comes he would not have too many problems scoring goals, the quality around him is sufficient enough for him to be prolific, imo if the deal goes through it is a good one for Chelsea and of course Aubameyang who is definitely not going to bench Lewandowski should he remain at the Camp Nou.
2236  Other / Archival / Re: Leading countries in the use of crypto on: August 23, 2022, 02:43:55 PM
although the second column lists the capitals of those countries, so that number refers to that and not to the whole country?
Whilst that might be it, i'm surprised at the number of businesses that accept crypto payment in Bogotá, the capital of Columbia, ~86 according to the data, whereas just 6 in the capital of the U.S., i don't live in the U.S. but shouldn't the number of businesses that accept crypto in its capital be higher than 6? And as for Bogotá, 86 sounds a bit over the top, that was why i asked in my earlier reply if they are that much of a crypto-friendly country as i've not heard or read too much about them. Having said that, it is difficult to know which of all these sort of data is accurate, if they prolly had more similarities than difference in them, or maybe just a slight difference, then we might consider its credibility, but when it's completely different, it is hard to tell.
2237  Other / Archival / Re: Leading countries in the use of crypto on: August 23, 2022, 01:02:44 PM
On the table Columbia have the highest number of businesses that accept crypto as payment, that is interesting, that prolly means that Columbia is a crypto-friendly nation right, i don't know if we actually have Columbians here on Bitcointalk forum to give us an idea of what their government thinks about crypto. Having said that, when businesses around the world start accepting crypto for payment, it will be very pivotal to crypto adoption globally.
This is great for we Nigerians. Although the government isn't totally in support of cryptocurrency I love the way Nigerian are beginning to have more interest in cryptocurrency. If you look into the age of those investors the highest percentage of users are the youths which make the future brighter. I believe Nigeria can lead the entire African continent towards cryptocurrency acceptance.
You don't have to quote all of the OP mate, especially when it is a big one. Having said that, Nigeria has always been one of the leading countries in Africa that is involved in crypto, and mind you that government reluctance to embrace crypto isn't peculiar to Nigeria, it is somewhat the same way globally, though whatever they come up with is usually ineffective on decentralized crypto like Bitcoin, especially when we are considering long term effects.

2239  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset and liability, one key factor for poverty among most Africans on: August 23, 2022, 09:22:32 AM
Most Africans especially Nigerians prefer liability to asset. In the journey of becoming a successful being, it is advisable to acquire more assets than liabilities. The questions here is where does 70%- 80% of your income goes? Asset or liability?
I completely disagree with this brazen claim of yours, what statistics or proof do you have to back it up that Africans (Nigerians more specifically like you said) are more concerned about acquiring things that are liabilities to them, than stacking up assets; i can categorically state that it is wholly untrue. You can prolly call it a human trait, but to pinpoint a particular people as doing it more without stats is uncalled-for.

Having said that, you quite forget that in most parts of Africa people live below the poverty level, some even earn less than $2 a day, quite a lot of them are basically concerned about what to eat, wear, good water, etc, that they can't even condition their minds to dream of acquiring luxurious items, only the wealthy/rich can afford it there. It is in parts of the world where life is much better, first world countries were people earn a reasonable minimum wage that you could talk about even the middle class citizens leading a somewhat comfortable life.

Oh dear, Ronaldo was substituted just before the end and that with 3 other players at the same time. So no change to bring his quality into the game. That was only to play for time. He make one shot, but that was not really good. Rashford and Sancho will continue to do so well, then Ronaldo can only watch the game.
Manchester United played quite well without Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday, and the coach might prolly want to stick with the team that has earned him his first competitive victory as Manchester United manager, but mind you that Ronaldo is not the kind of player you can keep on the bench for too long, he will express his unhappiness at that openly and will the forcefully seek for an exit.

Having said that, in Manchester United's next game i expect quite some changes to the team that won yesterday, afterall Casemiro is now in the club, and he is definitely going to be their constant defensive midfielder, as for Ronaldo we'd have to wait and see how things develop, there are a couple of days left before the transfer market for this summer shuts, if he doesn't exit the club before then, and he commits to Manchester United, then he can be more focused with the team, and the manager will play him much more regularly.
