Klee, any explanation on why 36 days if the btc has been already laundered and are in hacker's hands?
I don't know if they are laundered or not!

inb4 hacker don't give bak lol
not really a laughing matter. but it sounds like he signed a message from the address (or a linked address, if it moved). and made offers/demands. i doubt someone would go to those lengths otherwise. sounds like he wants to take a hit on the total loot in order to cut off any investigation. seems wise enough. So far the hacker has return 4.62 BTC (not 462BTC) to the specified address. Looks like klee was scammed twice. This is a previous transaction I made myself. I deliberately chose this address for the hacker too.

Europeans are in trouble for sure but I hope this is not a new MtGox too.. How many coins did you recover? glad to hear you got some coins back klee. i hope you get the rest too. what do you mean europeans are in trouble? because of the portagul bank in the crapper? Look into his thread it was 4xx but if i'd be on your place klee i'd request 600 atleast as he is clearly worried about his life and future.. Just accept the money and then claim more afterwards. It's not like you need to keep the moral high ground when negotiating with a thief. He is probably following klee's posts and he is probably member of btctalk so i'm not sure if posting this is good idea, but otherwise yep it's true. I didn't post it in Klee's topic for this very reason. Guys he had access to my emails, computer etc, not only my coins! Everyone can find my real ID very easily and I have a family... Well, but it would be threatening and police would maybe help you but yeah it's really better to get atleast this summ of money than nothing...congratulations. I didn't follow the story. How did he get access to your mail and computer? Not sure - maybe from a dropbox plain txt file I had all my pwds in.. Err ok. But that doesn't explain how he had access to your computer. Ah yes, my bad - I should not have said about the computer, I had no indications that he has access. But he did have to my main email (gmail)...

I paid hundred thousand of dollars to learn this lesson...

Following the Scammer's Manual to the letter: "Once the victim begins to doubt that he will ever get his money back, offer to return part of it; he will be so happy that he will let you walk away free with the rest." That was my intention with the 500btc bounty - I am quite sure I would never see them back, at least not before 3 years..

Yesterday night (Greek timezone) I got an email from the hacker.
I verified it is him.
He is willing to return a part of my BTC back (462BTC in 2 chunks - first in 24h and the next after 36 days) and MAYBE 1/2 or 1/3 of the 3M NXT Infrastructure Funds.
I insisted much on the later, as I feel terribly sorry for the loss - I will fill the remaining amount.
His conditions:
1) Publicly write that you have no claim to me (better in your topic) - I HAVE NO FURTHER CLAIM FOR MORE THAN 462BTC AND THE PART OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDS. BUT IF I DON'T GET THE REMAINING 231BTC AFTER 36 DAYS I WILL REOPEN THIS ISSUE!! 2) Will you write address where to send the BTC (better in your topic) 16NCirZABu9i56hKzfUjEvP44SdNeLRSN3 3) Close your topic on bitcointalk, NXT forum and other. DONE

Hello. I've been asked about explanation. Yes, the hacker used our service. Yes, he already got new coins. Please read more how our service works: https://bitmixer.io/how.htmlCan we tell you forward addresses where new coins have been transferred to? No. We really don't know. We completely delete all order's data after 12 hours. I'm sorry that someone lost their bitcoins. I understand this is a crime. But if our service can't protect criminal, it will not be able to protect you too. Regards, This is very understandable - but what about any new attempts he may make? Will you stop these?

Electrum password alone isn't sufficient (assuming the attacker got it through your dropbox plain text file), he'd also need a copy of the electrum wallet file. Any idea how that was accessed?
If I understand the OP correctly, both the wallet file and a plaintext txt with the password were on a dropbox volume. I don't use electrum but the way I understand it is the wallet is constructed from the 12 word seed. That's why I asked Klee for kleerification... (*snort* sorry) There's a password that secures your wallet file, and there's the master seed. With the seed, you're able to access the funds all by itself, but with the electrum password alone, you still need the wallet. They had both.. EDIT: Apologies for not replying but I am trying to manage a mess here (format the computers, contacts with authorities, phone/skype calls etc)..
