In a bear market sideways action leads to impatience and a heavy speculator deciding market direction with a speculative sell (in the direction of trend). With the bear market technically over it will be interesting to see how the next move plays out.

'Line on a chart' analysis suggests as long as we stay above 275 - 280 we will probably break higher and through resistance at 300. If that happens then like a light being switched on, the bitcoin bull will be back and we could see 400 quickly.

If we stagnate here then we could range trade for a few months. Lots of support levels right down to super support at 210-220.

The halving countdown has already begun. My guess would be that the bitcoin halving rally will be front run by traders second guessing the previous bitcoin halving (rally after) and the recent litecoin halving surge (rally before) and we will rally earlier than most traders expect.

We still have two swords of damocles (gox coins could be bearish, could be bullish; coin etf - could be massively bullish if allowed by SEC eventually) and a little dagger (final us marshalls auction of 44k) hanging overhead.

I think we will move sideways for a bit as bitcoin shakes out the shorters a few more times before it does it's thing.

By borrowing BTC and selling on bitfinex. The leverage you can get is dependent on how much % over your selling price you want to hold a reserve to prevent a margin call.

I almost did it, but decided I have better upside in what I am working on. So it wasn't worth the risk to me (not only unexpected volatility to the upside, also bitfinex solvency or the market price moving faster than bitfinex can execute margin calls), but in your case depending how desperate you are, it might be worth the risk if we bounce up again before declining.

I am fairly certain we will decline, but I can't be sure we won't see prices above $320 and below $400 before going down. Above $400, I would declare myself incorrect and eat the losses.

Some people said you can trade on bitfinex and even sell for $usd without doing KYC as long as you don't withdraw fiat. I didn't want to risk that, because it appears it is a discretionary policy.

I see that yesterday's little post-Grexit panic dump is a thing of the past and we're back to the slow steady grind upward.

Pretty much sideways in the $290s but with the lean in the right direction.

Let's see if the price rises when the banks open in Greece. Obviously the Greeks have all kinds of motivation to get their money out of the banks and into Bitcoin but can't do it with their funds frozen.

As for those in other countries with shaky economies who fueled this recent rally there is no reason for them to stop protecting their wealth by getting it out of the banks.

Interesting times indeed.
