Everyone should have been short since $315 which is what I said first. And I should have stuck to that. Predicting the short-term moves is going to get you stopped out and you'll miss the entire decline. Everyone who did not short at $315 has already lost the decline to $254.
I sold 310 but shorting is something I rarely do in general. I just don't feel 'safe' shorting BTC, can't explain this lol

My buy zone is 242-252. Stop if 238 is broken

The XT developers are not telling the whole truth and are knowingly putting Bitcoin's future on the line?

Would be worth mentioning that this #bitcoin fork comes with a new governance structure:

Well the block size issue has been a gift to me. Afaik, all crypto coins have this problem with a tradeoff choice between consensus decentralization and scalability. But I solved that problem, so it is just a matter of bringing the solution to market and watch what happens.

I think crypto coins need to be set on auto-pilot I think there needs to be built in some side-chain capability (assuming all bidirectional issues with that can be resolved, else some way to burn coins one-way to a new fork) so that HODLers can move their value out to a new fork gradually as a way to upgrade. This protects the value of the HODLers and allows for new technology. I don't agree with any changes made to the protocol of the coin after it has been stabilized.

Bitcoin was a first revision and the recent post from Satoshi on Aug 15, 2015, admits that Bitcoin needs to be fixed. I guess he has been reading my posts. How do you know I am not (the second reincarnation of) Satoshi? (of course not, lol)

Satoshi has released a white paper. Something you'll never do in your life.
Actually he has...

Now another block size post:

EDIT: See this TPTB? No common vision! You know of course better that open source projects need a benevolent dictator...
1250  Economy / Speculation / Re: The panic selling has begun on: August 17, 2015, 01:45:49 PM
drop will come maybe to 230$ in the next days

I was trying my best to hold onto some BTC, just to see out the month of september (lots of chatter about economic chaos next month) but I dont think I can stomach any more losses.

The buy support looks super weak, could we even be going down sub $200?  I mean I've seen $50 drops in a single day before, I dont think its unreasonable to move that low in a day or two.
Where did you buy?

Why? You opened short @ $258?
I usually don't care about fundamentals but this XT fork drama seems very dangerous to me. I prefer not to touch BTC while this is unfolding.
No I did not short it, maybe I will at 272 with a stop at 274.

Pardon me, but this is probably pure greed behind the XT fork. From the moment that BTC laid its chance to the hands of a "chief" software engineer, that EXACT moment the aforementioned man became BTC's biggest liability. Hardfork or not, I cannot think of anything worse that this thing is done because of Gavin's stupidity (unlikely), or the even worse, somebody paid him to spread disaster. Every person has his/her price. I dare him to prove me wrong and cancel the XT fork.

Yeah... Like he cares.

Yeah, unfortunately the project seems to me compromised since the CIA meeting. If you look back my posts you will find dialogues with me and Hearn urging him to do something about anonymity feature in BTC - to put it higher in the dev todo list. How naive I was...

It was the wake up call (his stance) back then, I started realising that this project can only serve Wall Street, Silicon Valley, NASDAQ etc (big pockets). But we have Ripple for this which is far more efficient. So why bother with PoW??

Anyways, I try to trade based on TA and not lose my mind trying to find how this can succeed based on fundamentals, politics etc.

I would strongly advise anyone to avoid taking any positions until this is resolved. It only takes 1 mad whale to screw people hard (either way) and we are clearly entering an escalation phase now.

Better try making money with ETH or XMR. LTC is dangerous too, I will wait for a very strong signal in order to enter a trade...

Take care everyone.

Can someone make a script to update this spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fid2e4HGsBw89EUntPITysMvwvuLQFNBSgSQmmJzHIQ/edit?usp=sharing

with the data from the poll please?

It is a pain to do it manually..

Thanks in advance!

PS: The whole BPI stuff will be available FREE to the community - I won't gain anything besides fame (  Cool ) and a VERY useful tool I need for trading/investing.

Will see if I could make a script. Any chance you could add CRE to the voting list?

ANN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1037244.0
Official website: creditsclient.com

Cheers Smiley
I would really appreciate that, thanks!
Unfortunately I can't add CRE now.. Sad

There are people selling bitcointalk accounts on this forum, so I am not sure how accurate/representative this voting really is. I think each coin should be evaluated on how usefulness/uniqueness it really is, rather than voting, which is very easily rigged.

Something to keep in mind.
Accounts that are new were only prevented from posting here suggestions for alts (not on voting).
Suggestions from older members, even if from bought accts, is not of a big issue anyway...

Bought some at 258! To da moon!!!!!

Hehehehe. Just wanted to say that 10k BTC sell pushed price only $5 down. It looks that this was shakeout.

200d SMA still holds.
Yeah support is solid. Let's see how far will demand push this. I am putting ask at 290 Wink

I am thinking what if the main purpose of "Satoshi's" mail was to get cheap coins from shaking hands. Something tells me that this is similar as 2 oct 2013, when Silk Road shake-out triggered spark to moon.
Maybe but IMO he speaks (whoever he is) true things.

The reason I bought is that in both my charts (2$ & 4$) we hit the bearish support and (non P&F reason) big dumps usually complete in 3 waves in 1d. This seems to be the case since the 298 bounce...
