Just pick them by Trading Volume.

I completely agree. That's actually what I do here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=927144

Right now, there are actually only 10 coins with decent volume. BTC, LTC, DASH, DOGE, POT, NMC, BTS, ANC, XMR, XRP. You should forget the voting, and just go with these coins.

(My post is actually unnecessarily complicated. I look at 2 factors -- coins that are not too new, and coins with decent volume. However, I could have just looked at coins with decent volume. All of them are not too new.)

I see you did a great job on you thread - what are the top 20 in your list?

I think it is very probable to use your analysis but maybe run the poll anyway so we have some second thought on newcomers (like ETH).

I use coinmarketcap and coincap to sort by volume too - the 'old' and decent in volume one are already known and will probably take the first 10-15 places in the list.

Problem is there are 'forgotten' coins who suddenly awake and I want to be a bit flexible to include some more coins in the list so I can catch them too.

For example you mention ANC which is an old one but it's volume (on the two sites I mentioned above) sucks - should I include it or not? This poll will help a bit.

I already have my 10-15 top picks, I just wanna give people & the market a chance to be heard some more so maybe I can be more objective on my picks...

Added GRC & NIRO.
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bullish Percent Index for cryptos on: August 12, 2015, 11:52:33 AM

The 20 coins list will be dynamic in time - if a coin gets enough popularity and/or volume it will be added.

The poll will just help to kickstart this effort, the coins will be added/removed dynamically based on the above factors...

This can't be avoided unfortunately (if true) - but I think it is not critical for the purpose of the project.

After all, Ethereum have to be added anyway (for various reasons).

Problem is with draws at the bottom of the 20 coins - maybe I will have to make a new poll with them. We will see...

Thanks for your continuous contribution all these years to the community kLee!

LTC, XMR, ETH  Smiley

Oops, I'm a newbie, so please disregard my vote.
Votes are open for everyone - I meant posts here suggesting coins that are not listed on the poll!

I want to avoid spamming...

Just pick them by Trading Volume.
This can be tricky - in any case 20 coins are more than enough to include all popular coins that have a decent volume too!

Please add StealthCoin (XST) to your list and let us know here:

Yeah I was just realising I omitted XST, apologies! Adding it...

I just want to thank you a lot for your insane efforts with us, Klee Smiley
Thanks Fakhoury, I found pleasure in analysing this market! If we do it all together is even better  Grin

I think that 1 October is a good date to end the poll.

Any objections?

Imagine that the BPI is something like an RSI of a sector, in this particular case the cryptocurrencies sector.
It gives an 'overbought/oversold' indication of the market.
1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bullish Percent Index for cryptos on: August 12, 2015, 10:17:33 AM
Hi all.

I will make a new P&F chart for BPI for cryptos. I decided to use 20 coins, including of course BTC.

Help me choose the next 19. You have 3 votes. Use them wisely.

I think that the 50 coins listed here are more than enough.

If you want a not listed coin, post here and we will see what can be done - I won't take into consideration newbies accounts.

DO NOT START comparisons and fights on coins. You will make me lock the topic.

Mods I think this is best suited here (Speculation) because BPI will help to determine if the general trend in cryptos is about to change (so we can start fishing the bottom or selling the top of coins that still have not catch up with the new trend, including BTC - eg if we have many alts giving buy signals while BTC is still in bear mode this is a signal to start buying cheap BTCs).

But if you like move it in the alt section.

EDIT: The coins are listed in no particular order!!!

No  doom so far?
Doom if happens will take time unless something really bad happens (like Bitfinex dumping thousands of coins at 15 Aug).
PnF trend is bearish until 300.

As far as I understand both MA & Theodore Modis expect assets to bottom between Jan and Aug 2016 (I would say spring is a good bet) so IMO maybe bottom medium term is not in for BTC. Not sure if we will fail to penetrate 300s before we go that direction or make a rally first (as TPTB anticipates based on MA's more short term view).

Another analyst I follow (can't name him) verifies too this scenario.

These 3 are the only analysts I know that predict and do it based on TIME too.

PnF does not predict and does not have time vector.

The strong sell from the catapult makes me biased that we will not penetrate 300 again but maybe I am wrong.

PS: TPTB, my analyst and Modis both expect higher high after 2016 storm...
1317  Economy / Speculation / Re: PnF TA on: August 12, 2015, 07:22:37 AM
LTCUSD:

Triangle has to break. Buy 5.25$, sell/short 3$

BTCLTC:

Double bottom for LTC right on the support. Maybe good time to change your BTC for LTC. Stop 62 (0.01613).

IMO it is much better to be in LTC atm rather than BTC. Bitlicense issues plus the XT node uncertainty would make me really nervous to hold BTC now, especially on margin..

EDIT: Oups, I got confused. Actually BTC double bottomed regarding to LTC. Second part still valid for me.

Any update klee?
Hey guys I was travelling!

Not much to see on our main chart - seems that we found temp support where I said:

HL:

Seems we found some support between the 2 green lines (256 & 264) and the bearish support (we actually came almost over it - it is at 260, we went down to 260.62).

Maybe a bounce here.
If we reverse (which seems very probable), support at 268-272, resistance still at 288-296, breakout 300$.

On the 2$ box chart we have a reversal visible (it will be in the 4$ box if we hit 274$, we almost did moments ago):

Support 264-266, resistance 282-284. Breakout at 288$. Next resistance 290-294$.

Seems I am on ignore on everyone here  Tongue
1320  Economy / Speculation / Re: PnF TA on: August 10, 2015, 07:42:36 PM
Last post is compliant with Martin Armstrong predictions as far as I understand.

TPTB?

I do believe BTC will make new all time highs 2017 or thereafter.
