2241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC or DCA other coins? on: June 03, 2022, 11:03:29 PM
The better choice is buy Bitcoin with DCA strategy, why should DCA other coins? ETH, SOL, and DOT are centralized coins, I don't see any reason why we should trust centralized party when it's about cryptocurrency. Trusting a centralized party is similar like you trust a bank. I still consider $30K is still cheap for Bitcoin, though it may go lower in this year.
Yes, seeing that bitcoin price will drop more in this bearish market, then doing DCA would be the safest way. Its the only way where we can still maximize our hodlings even when we can't buy at its bottom price. However, for those other coins you mentioned, for me no need to DCA, but its definitely your own final decision in the end.
2242  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto exit strategies on: June 03, 2022, 10:38:51 PM
I believe the most effective strategy for exiting the market is to set a target price.  While I don't see Dollar-cost averaging as an exit strategy, it is a strategy to lessen the average price of the token while accumulating a crashing token.  Another kind of exit strategy is a stop-loss strategy where we sell our holding at a loss while the market is crashing to avoid further loss of investment.

Oh btw, developers also have a crypto exit strategy called rug-pull which is also called exit scam Grin Grin

I guess all traders need not only best entry but also best exit. And as a trader, we can only make profits if our desired target price is achieved and sell our coins for huge profits. Otherwise, we will only need to make an exit because we are already losing. That's how stop loss is made. The rest of the strategies mentioned by OP are not really that significant. DCA is what i mostly used when i'm still in the market creating future profits, and i don't see it useful when you think of exiting the crypto market.
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Depression Starts in Cryptocurrency Anytime on: June 03, 2022, 10:16:51 PM
Why Depression Starts in Cryptocurrency Anytime. some time gain profit some time loss.i feel any time depression.
That's because they enter the crypto market without being aware that this market could bring more losses than gains. What they only think is that this market brings a lot of opportunities, but if the investments are not well managed and that investors lack knowledge and strategies to prosper, there will be more losses than real gains. Mostly, depression starts when you trust the project so much and end up investing all your hard earned money, but suddenly the investment did not do well and that means you lose most of your possessions. That's how people started feeling depression because of their flooded emotions that have become uncontrollable.
2244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paid the birth fee using bitcoin at the clinic, by accident. on: June 03, 2022, 09:48:34 PM
Congratulations!

That's an unexpected yet surprising and happy moment for you. Your wife gave birth to your child and then the doctor had that little logo on his shirt which had given the idea that he's a bitcoin investor.

Well, for me, I wouldn't still wear any bitcoin logo in the public. I'm aware that this incident could also make us find out the other bitcoin holders and investors but I'm more worried about a wrench attack.
Probably the doctor is aware of that but he just ignored the possibility of being attacked. But i would say congrats mate and also kudos to this good doctor who understands your situation and accepts bitcoin payment without hesitation. However, it could not be a loss for the doctor because he knew that bitcoin could be more expensive in the next couple of years, so accepting as early as today could be a smart move.
2245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learning from the dip on: June 03, 2022, 09:29:02 PM
I bought some coin recently believing I’m buying from the dip but to my surprise this just keep dipping. MY DIP HAS TURNED TO THE DIPPER, EVEN THE DIPPEST.

Lesson
1. Avoid falling prey to FOMO: Almost every investors see a bearish market as a means of entering the market. In dip period like this, everyone will love to buy and keep. Most go any length to get money to buy from this dip out of the fear of missing out. This make some to borrow money to invest which can be risky.

2. Never borrow money to invest in cryptocurrency: This is a big risk and may cause serious issue if bearish continues and more dip is seen.

3. Never use all investment in buying crypto believing it will rise soon: This also affect some people. They try to invest big in dip believing it will rise quickly so they can sell for huge profit but most end up losing to the bearish market.

4. Always use DCA (Dollar Cost Average) when buying any crypto in a bearish market: This enable you to manage your lost if more bearish is seen.

This is probably the most common problem that we investors do always face. Once there are dips, we eventually started buying, not realizing that it could not be the bottom of this dips. However, i see no problem about that as long as you prioritize buying bitcoin because no matter how its price drops, it will always recover again and gradually increase its price. Even when you buy bitcoin at a high value, you won't lose actually unless if you sell it a much lower price. But you could buy more coins and makes bigger profits if you can buy those coins at their dips, which needs more patience to wait for the right timing to buy.
2246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Legendary Forumla of Dip = Opportunity on: June 02, 2022, 11:47:22 PM

If you see market dipping, then it’s not loss but it’s market whose giving you opportunity. Just take it Smiley

Great advice for open-minded traders that newbie traders will understand because they have a lot of time checking their wallets for the price of their crypto investment. I admit that I was this kind of trader before I definitely buying the dip but if the dip still continue and I already used all the capital that I got to scoop it. It is always a psychological effect that there's a possibility that a long bearish market will occur since if you view the history as you said, There are times that this scenario will happen besides the bull. It's good to keep buying the dip but make sure you are using chart and indicators to make sure that you are not buying a suicide dip and let you wait for more than a year just to have breakeven or minor profit.

Opportunities are said to never be missed but somehow you should need to assess the market if there are better opportunities that will come or you will just settle on what is happening in the present. Otherwise, you have used up all your funds buying those new and unestablished coins, when you should be waiting for those old but established coins to start bargaining their prices. Yes, its true that bear market creates opportunities, but the outcome of your investment still greatly depends on the coins you chose to invest.
2247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to start accepting BTC? on: June 02, 2022, 09:16:43 PM
Hello all,

I have been following Bitcoin prices for some time, and now I'm doubtful if it is a good time to start accepting it as it has changed so much in the past months. Those who accept Bitcoin - is it worth it? And do you accept Bitcoin straight to your wallet, or do you use third-party services?

Thanks in advance!
You have to make it clear to yourself before you decide. If you believe that bitcoin will reach its new ATH and will be very profitable in the near future, so its certainly worth accepting for and hodl it in your wallet. But if you think that bitcoin is just a waste of time and that there are a lot of established altcoins that are more useful than bitcoin, then you don't have to accept bitcoin and store it in your wallet. I guess its only a matter of wise decision-making, but not all is capable of that.
2248  Economy / Economics / Re: Enticing customers to make payment with crypto. on: May 30, 2022, 09:32:05 PM
Is this a possible way to entice customers who do not like to pay with crypto, Will offering discounts for goods when a customer pays with crypto or free gifts encourage and entice more customers to use their crypto for payment of goods? If I offer discounts which will encourage more of my customers to get crypto, how can I possibly sustain it for long to ensure that i don't run at a loss?

I guess if you do it for good, your business will be rekt. I suggest only offer discounts if you have exceed your sales target, if not just focus on fiat users because they make the most of your valued customers. However, feel free to ask your fiat payers that you are accepting crypto payments too if they have one. Maybe they can recommend your store if ever they'll meet some friends who are looking for stores accepting crypto. You can't sustain giving discounts for long, that is definitely not a good technique though.
2249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 30, 2022, 08:36:46 PM
On a second thought the gambler was able to beat his gambling addiction but, he failed at foregoing his addiction for greed. The company must have sent same promotional mail to every other member of the Casino. The gambler out of greed exhausted the $50 offer and yet was not satisfied by it. However, the casino tricked him using a $50 bait to lure him back into the gambling world knowing pretty well that he is greedy.

I think he was not completely able to beat his addiction as we saw that it lasted until he had an offer in his email to play for free a little amount as a gift from the casino website. If he was truly convinced to leave gambling once and for all he should have also unsubscribed from all the casinos and their marketing emails. When I see my email it is full of such offers (not free money) but marketing emails from the casinos I play the most at.If I want to quit gambling for good,I unsubscribe from all these marketing emails from the gambling companies.
I also think so. Although he really wants to stop gambling and fight his addiction, but knowing he still grab the chance of free money to gamble again and prolong his addiction, then that proves that he himself is still the one who should be mostly blamed. Casinos do always send us convincing invitations but deciding it to take or not is already on the gambler itself. I can see that this gambler has not completely beaten his addiction as he can still be easily lured just with all those tempting acts from the casino.
2250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PROS AND CONS OF CRRYPTOGAMBLING. on: May 30, 2022, 07:56:43 PM
In many countries where gambling is a taboo - and people do not gamble because its not legal and its considered as a sin.
The people there can do online gambling and satisfy themselves. However - those people have a thought behind their mind if they are doing the right thing or not.

Gambling can be subjective. Those countries where gambling is a taboo has a very simple definition of gambling. Don't they realize that in real life we also gamble or take risks? Gambling is a form of entertainment, it only becomes a sin because most people get addicted to it with the mindset of it can make them rich in short amount of time, which only happens to very few people that are lucky. Gambling is a business to entertain people, they did not promise some returns.
Despite of illegalities of gambling in some countries, i believe gamblers do not settle on that and won't gamble at all. They will always have the time to gamble, it's just that they should be extra careful not to be caught by the government officials. Maybe that's how they see it as a sin, contradicting the laws of the government. But in real life, people somehow need to gamble too because its just a form of entertainment but in a business way. And you need funds for you to be able to gamble, whether you win or lose in the end.
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 30, 2022, 03:16:32 PM
The warriors have already advanced to the NBA Finals. They are now in waiting mode for the winner of the Celtics vs Heat series.

Not sure if they will still be listed as the favorite if the Celtics win tomorrow, but regardless, I believe the Warriors will win.
What I like about the Warriors is they are hungry for this win, they have been here many times before, so now they will try to win again.
Warriors will be the ultimate favorite i guess and Celtics will be the underdog, but expect that everything will change in the finals and that in some cases, the favorite will turn into the underdog at the end of the game. But since i am rooting for Warriors as i'm a big fan of it, so hopefully this will not happen to Warriors end up as underdog. Warriors fought hard just to go this far, and in fairness to Celtics they did a good fight too. So may the best team wins as the finals is already fast approaching.
2252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 30, 2022, 09:00:13 AM
Great game 7 between the Celtics and Heat. I was a little worried at the end there but the Celtics came through. A great game by Jimmy Butler, but he was one shot away from being a hero at the end when he missed that three. Still, the Heat had a great season they can be proud of. Now we’re set for the Finals between the Warriors and the Celtics.
Still kudos to Jimmy Butler, as his team won't go this far without his brilliant performance and that made this season something memorable and something that they can be proud of. Now, Celtics are off to the finals which will give them a big break if they can beat the battle tested Warriors. These two teams deserve a good fight, so i just hope that there will be no serious injuries that's going to happen in the finals. But expect that there will be unexpected twists that will surprise everyone.
2253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 30, 2022, 08:41:16 AM
Celtics is the Eastern Conference Champion!
The last 3 point attempt by Butler is very crucial, he should not shot that in a hurry or at least go for the 2 points shot so they can tied with Celtics at score of 98 and go for OT, that was a very costly mistake for him and a shot to remember. Congrats for Celtics after years of being out in the finals now they came back stronger.  Smiley

Agree on this. They are craving to take the lead even before that crucial shot that make them loss so much field goal attempt. The last mistake of Butler shows how he is too confident to himself that he didn't wait for his teammate to be on position if he really wants that shot. He should atleast drive inside and get a potential 3 point play by getting foul counted since the only defender that time is Horford which is easy for him to get an easy foul due to AL size.

Still good thing that Boston so that GSW will finally get a good fight that they deserve. I'm hoping for a game 7 on this upcoming NBA finals.
The Finals matchup has been set, and everyone gets excited whoever wins this NBA title. Celtics vs Warriors for the NBA title, not only a battle of their respective coaches but definitely its for the best team to win, and all team members must have prepared their defense and shooting skills for that. Both Celtics and Warriors are tough so expect that this will be another memorable game that  will amaze everyone, so good luck for both of the team.
2254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 29, 2022, 11:44:17 PM
That's what happens to gamblers because not all gamblers can open up and tell other people because, in some countries, gambling is considered nothing and will instead be given a negative impression.
So for those gamblers, keep their stories about gambling and don't share them with others.
It will be even more difficult if the gamblers are addicted because no one will know.

No matter where do we live, we should start to share our experience once gambling is started to be a "problem" in our life. If we keep it ourselves as a secret and no one knows, it is possible that it will become a bigger problem. If we share it to our close-friends or family, we may hear some opinions and hopefully to get a better solution to get rid of the problem.
The problem in gambling is not really that gambling alone, but the addiction that will mostly develop afterwards and ruin everything. And once the gambler starts to see it from himself, then he should not keep it and find solutions alone. While some friends cannot help, but there is family that is always ready to help and guide his gambling addiction. I just hope OP has learned his lesson now, and will find gambling more entertaining than being addictive. That is why gambling needs not a huge amount, but an amount you can only afford to lose but still give you self satisfaction.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 29, 2022, 10:24:46 PM
Can an old casino that's very active here in Bitcointalk, through support, forum advertising, and signature campaign, suddenly pull the plug and stop doing all these things can still keep and still maintain its position in the market.

A case study is Bitvest and 777Coin we know that Lightlord was sick and now he is well and comes back from time to time but not doing the same thing they're doing for many years.

I think its not all the time that a certain casino should necessarily hire Bitcointalk for its position in the market. They cannot maximize their profits if that's the case since a part of it will still go to Bitcointalk. Over time, i guess a good casino will already gain the heart of the players and that is the most important. That they feel the sincerity of the casino and that its good customer service makes them keep coming back and forth. However, on the side of the casino, they should still learn to adopt those new games so they can keep their customers not to go to other casinos to play.
2256  Economy / Economics / Re: A decision to make on: May 28, 2022, 11:58:32 PM
Would you rather buy a house to live in or rent an apartment to invest in bitcoin  Since bitcoin is experiencing bear what decision will you take make use of the season or let it pass.
It's okay to buy a house if you will use it as a business like a rental apartment, you'll be sure there's no losses here. However, if you only plan to buy a house for you to have a property of your own, that will unlikely give profits to you. Once the building turns old, you will again spend huge amount for repair and renovation. But if you invest your money now into bitcoin, it may bring huge profits in the long run and you will be able already to buy a house without compromising the money for your investments.
2257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 28, 2022, 11:41:50 PM
Hello 👋
Okay, presently I want to ask why the sudden panicking around the media and forum here.
I could ones remembered when bitcoin was +$69k and everyone seems to be panicking for the price to get 32k or below. Today we have another chance to buy very low yet people still waiting for the price to drop even more lower.
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
What do we do?
The best time to buy bitcoin is when you see its price continues to drop because not only you can save more funds but also you can accumulate more bitcoin that will bring good profits into your wallet when its price starts to surge high. Although you can't make sure if you did bought bitcoin at its cheapest price but if you use DCA, you will always take advantage of every price drop.
2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you following very basic crypto rules? on: May 28, 2022, 11:16:18 PM
The current hot topic is Luna. It's very sad that a lot of investors bagger due to Luna drama. The more sad thing is some people committed to suicide. Even in my country, it has happened. I will say think kind of situation occurs due to not following two very basic crypto rules. I know everyone knows these rules, but want to share again and remind you what would happen if you don't follow these rules.

1. Don't invest in crypto if you can't afford the loss.
2. Don't put your eggs in one basket.

It's pretty simple rules, I don't think here needs any detailed explanation at all. We should invest only what we can afford the loss. And shouldn't invest in one coin all of your savings. When you invest multiple coins that won't scam you at the same time. So follow the very basic crypto rules and don't commit suicide.
Not only that you will invest in multiple coins but in different investments as well like stocks, bonds, real estate and even in gold. That way, if you lose in crypto, you will never experience such huge loss as you still have chances to make profits from your other investments. And yes, invest only on the amount you can manage to lose, although you can spend some of your life's savings but take only a portion of it and leave the rest for your other needs as well.
2259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wise Sayings That Are Applicable To Cryptocurrency on: May 28, 2022, 10:49:46 PM
Expectation is a big word. Although we had some expetience on trading or knew what to do its not always go to our expctation or should I say a win win for us. Even professional traders who are well knew how its operate got fucked some time but thats fine cause its really not a perfect parameter to win a trading but onky just a guide. Same goes for investment.
No need to set high expectations even if you are an expert or a newbie in investing or trading. Because we all know that we are dealing with such an unpredictable market, so no one can predict correctly what will be the future outcome. Although we aim big out from trading or investing in crypto, but we should not expect too much from them as they can go into opposite direction and leave us frustrated.
2260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k on: May 28, 2022, 10:22:52 PM
I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.
Bitcoin dropped all the way from $69K, and you decide to sell it off at any price between $29K to $8K just because some speculator talked about it dropping $8K?

That's very poo investment approach IMO. If one was to sell, it should have been at around 60K-50K
Right. You should only sell when the price is high and definitely buy when the price is low. So if bitcoin falls to $8k, and you still plan to sell, that's a big loss for you. You only have to sell for profits, and not the other way around. However, if you have shitcoins that you have been hodling for a lot of years and until now, no signs of growing its value, then its a good time to sell them so that you can take advantage and buy bitcoin while its still very low in price.
