2301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone Sports Bettor or a Team Sports Bettor? on: January 03, 2023, 11:45:47 PM
A lone sports bettor, in my opinion, is someone who does not rely on another person to interpret the odds and advise them which sporting event to wager on. Before placing a bet, the lone gambler conducts his own study and analysis.
--
Which of these categories do you belong to and why?
I'm a lone wolf, I mean lone bettor.  Tongue

I don't want to blame someone if a signal or suggestion what to bet for has come into a result of loss. I just want to do it on my own so that no one will be blamed.

And I'm more confident doing it by myself because I'm the one who has made the decision and it's my money, so, "my money, my rules".
2302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2023 be another up year for Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2023, 10:39:36 PM
We're a year close to the halving and that's likely going to be the significant uprising that we'll see. In terms of the cycles, it's proven that it goes like that.

The pressure will eventually come out and then will create a new buying trend that will make the demand higher prior to the halving. And that means, the price will be up again but most likely it's after the halving.

Well, it's another long way to go for the entire year and I think that we might see some good moving trend for bitcoin for this year.
2303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys bet on sports or casinos more? on: January 03, 2023, 09:39:31 PM
It's like 60/40.

60 for sports betting because that's where really I am for and that's most of the time, I know the matches that I can bet and that I shouldn't. It's fun and interesting because I really analyze before I bet.

While for the 40, it's for the casino games where I just want to have fun.

Whether I'm lucky or not, as long as I'm done doing things and I've got ample time to play casino games, that's what I do.
2304  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does money bring you security ? on: January 03, 2023, 10:16:10 AM
Well, it is a fact that money buys a lot of things that we both need and want. Nobody can deny material possessions give us comfort and joy in most times. However, it is really a question whether money brings you a feeling of security. In my experience, a lot of rich people are living in anxiety and fear. Before they got rich, all efforts and endeavours were taken most of their life and time but after they reached where they are now, insecurity and anxiety take control of their life. Have you ever thought about this ? Please share your thoughts.
Of course it brings security. Security that you won't have to think about tomorrow and you need to hustle for you to have something to eat.

If a person tells you that it doesn't give any upperhand then take his money and let him be problematic about tomorrow. At least for those rich people, they've been through having riches and they're having just sort of another problem that also exists in people who are struggling to make ends meet.

While those that are struggling, they have to deal with being problematic about money and as well as those other existing problems one may face.
2305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 02, 2023, 08:41:24 PM
That's where the petition probably starts. When the loser boxer don't want to accept the decision and thinks that there's an anomaly regards to the unanimous decision and as per as scoring.

Honestly, this is a childish petition if ever there are boxers like that. They have to respect what has given to them based on the score cards that's presented.

If that's the main reason why many don't like the judges anymore then there shouldn't be judge anymore but, that's it. They're trusted to do their job.

It's childish if the public sees that the decision was fair, here, the public sees there's something wrong with the decision and the judges were favoring the home fighter despite the fact that he was very well dominated in the fight. This will destroy the sports of boxing, and the reputation of the country that have hosted the fight.
Still, that's needed to cater if someone or from the other end has complained and asked for a review.

That's okay and they just need to end it up with that investigation just to satisfy and verify that the win is clean and outright. I don't think that there's a reason for it to destroy the reputation of boxing.

There are a few of them but it will not destroy its reputation.

It's even good that they're giving the complainant a chance and they've given what's being ask if ever this is happening in some boxing matches.
2306  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 Bitcoin can take a position discussion. on: January 02, 2023, 11:47:28 AM
Assumptions I think the price of Bitcoin will reach its peak by the end of 2023.  Estimates can hit 100k dollars.  This is the biggest opportunity for us to invest.
Just as what we've assumed last 2021, it was $100k. But I don't want to bust the nuts of most that expecting $100k.

It's better to just let it if it hits it but don't expect an exact time when it will happen. Because we don't know when exactly it'll happen, who knows if the cycle this time is different and if there will be more demand pre-halving.

Because what we know is that, most of the increase for bitcoin's demand happens every after the halving and that's by next year, 2024.
2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 02, 2023, 09:25:36 AM
There could be, but the scoring at least should be correct in the first place as reversing the decision doesn't look good for the sports. That why they are judges, they are train and if I'm not mistaken, paid to do their job right. But if they continue to made mistakes after mistakes then they should look for another job.
That's where the petition probably starts. When the loser boxer don't want to accept the decision and thinks that there's an anomaly regards to the unanimous decision and as per as scoring.

2308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto (Bitcoin) and children personal Finance Education on: January 02, 2023, 07:37:37 AM
Your parents are good parents and does think of your future very much. The idea that they've given to you when they've open a bank account with your money is about the principle of saving and how to give importance to the money that you own.

These days, it will be a different story and we might see children or teens in the next few years on how their parents have taught them how to keep their money and converted it to bitcoin.

What happened to the old thread? --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5425046.0

It's a self moderated thread and is that the reason why you've made a new one? To make it open to everyone and had to remove the self moderation?

Welcome to bitcointalk, am glad to see that you made an official discussion thread and also seeking for members review.
They're not that really new at all because this is a 2nd thread that they've made. Well, maybe a month old is still new then.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers that don't understand basic gambling concepts. on: January 01, 2023, 11:01:37 PM
Those that are complaining or whining with their losses, they might have understood the concepts but they just can't accept that they have been defeated, they've totally lost it.

They think that they've discovered some strategy that might really be a good sign on them to be against the house. But in all reality, no one can go against the house.

All of those discoveries or features, yeah, they're already there and just later found out as they gambling seriously.
2311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto (btc) is not for the weak on: January 01, 2023, 04:16:04 PM
Even if we're truly encouraging everyone to survive this bear and volatile market, still, you can't please everybody with your encouragement.

There will be investors that can't make it because they're having hard time on making their decisions to make. Looking at the market, it's favorable to them specially if it's too low on them.

They might have bought at the top and just lost their enthusiasm towards the market because it's too low already.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees on Dormant Accounts on Crypto Gambling Platforms on: December 31, 2022, 08:41:35 PM
An interesting topic of conversation. But in fact, gambling sites can do whatever they want as long as they include everything in their terms and conditions. You could say that there is a certain theft, as there are also sites that lock accounts and confiscate funds if you have not logged in for a certain period of time. I don't know what is customary to use as a fee, then you should think of an amount of 5 eur per month, for example. But there are fraudulent sites that simply confiscate entire balances. I don't think most sites that have a reputation charge any fees at all?
Even it is not on the terms and conditions upon signing up, they can just change it at their desire timeline with the rule that they want to apply like dormant accounts.

But, majority of them has that rule.

The fee varies depending on how much they would think of it and what they think is fair.
2313  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My inspiration for you on: December 31, 2022, 04:39:35 PM
you should thank God for it because it is not into your power that you have them it is the grace of God , so be thankful.
I always do. But no offense to those folks that don't have the same belief, so respect to them for their achievements through their hard work and grit.

Happy new year everybody!

We're going to face another year of ups and downs from the market but, we're all sharing common goal and that's to see the market on high.
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 31, 2022, 03:19:00 PM
Through the forum, you'll see many tell that to gamble for fun and that's for real. We should gamble for fun, but no one will stop you to take that money whenever you win.

Apart from that tip of gambling for fun, many will say that don't gamble for money because you'll barely get it.

The purpose of gambling isn't just for fun but mostly to get as much as winning as you can. That's why many people are gambling.

It's also fun to win at most times and take the money with you.  Cool
2315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things to remember for the year 2023 on: December 31, 2022, 02:20:10 PM
Learn from past mistakes
Like from those hypes that has been made in the market that had made a lot of folks turn into FOMO.

That's not really a good feeling when you're on this aggressive market. You react just like the crowd, only a less chance that you'll be profiting unless you really are good at it.

The more chance that you'll lose is there and that can't be denied. One more thing, after learning, apply the lessons that you've learned.

2317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 30, 2022, 09:00:42 PM
There are no big tournaments happening right now, it's been a bit quite with good esports games happening over Christmas and between the year. Probably most gamblers where focusing on the worldcup and not on other sports. At least in China are some Dota matches being played in January with the DPC CN 2023 Tour 1 coming up. It's all of the big chinese teams competing for a 200,000 USD prize pool. On January 5th we have the first round starting with PSG LGD playing against Dawn Gaming which is going to be a pretty one sided match and should be a good win for PSG LGD. EHOME is playing against Invictus Gaming which is going to be a very close match in my opinion, I will go with Invictus Gaming for that one. On the 6th  Team Aster is going to play against Knights which is another save bet and Team Aster should be winning this one.
Just a few more days to go and we're in 2023 where full of actions and DPC season is back by that time.

The change of roster for most teams especially in the SEA region, we'll see those new rosters and teams that we're hyped when they've announced their roster changes.

China region is one of the toughest region and looking at the teams for the upcoming DPC season, I'm not convinced since many teams don't have that known players. But I know all of them won't be there if they're not good as the others.

It's just all about my familiarity to them but I'll definitely watch most of their games.

Anyway, Christmas has passed, still Merry Christmas and Happy New year everyone.

I also believe Kuro has to switch his role at this point of his career. He should either manage his own team or become a coach. He is already 30 years old, and his mechanical skill will get slower and will not be able to compete against young players. Those young players will outplay him at this point in his career. His experience and knowledge of the game will best serve him if he uses it as a coach or team manager or owner. He should let the young ones play for his position and just train them.
Being the coach of Nigma.Galaxy is the best thing that he can ever do for the team. He should let someone who's younger but has got tremendous experience. No doubt and argument about his experience but he has achieved a lot already.

He's just going to be look like Dendi who's also trying hard but they've got reasons for it and it might be all about having fun. Dendi's definition of fun is like that and to keep competing.

But if Kuro's reason is to be competitive, he has to consider himself out of the roster.

Most heroes played, on what efficacy anyway? Most of the heroes that he's played on a high level, he hasn't been very effective with save for the Enchantress that everyone and their mother knows how to use and knows how to dominate lanes with. Also, even when he's not using Enchantress, a support known to transition to a core somewhat in mid - late game, he's hogging the relatively safer farms on the map when it's supposed to be taken over by their 4 or their offlane. Game-sense wise and draft-wise, the dude's already falling off. It's not enough that you play many heroes in the big stage, the question is how well and effective you play those for them to be considered a hero in your hero pool.
I have remembered Puppey's enchantress, Pup is also quite old but still doing it very well as we've seen for the past TI. But Kuro is just on another level and not as high as before.

You're right about acknowledging him as he's already falling off and about his performance dropping a lot.

Exactly. Even Fear, one of the most mechanically gifted carry to ever play the game recognized that he's getting old, and after their win in 2015, he knew that his time playing this game professionally in a serious level is over, and he stepped down and began exploring coaching options for EG and some other teams. There are some stints of him still playing professionally but without success, and once he recognized that he stepped down and began being an analyst/coach for some teams and that's where he shines right now. Hopefully Kuro recognizes this and starts leaning towards just coaching the team and letting other young talent play and hopefully hone their skills and talents.
Yeah, let's hope that he'll recognize it and considers it because he should notice that the fall of the team is because of him not giving way.
2320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ️ Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 27, 2022, 09:24:11 PM
I think they wouldn't let go of Miracle for Ammar if the former hasn't decided to step off the active roster for a bit. They'd value Miracle more than ATF at this point and if NGX had a choice, they'd surely keep Miracle in the roster. What I'm worrying about is Kuro. The man has very little hero pool, very predictable hero drafts, and an overall lost sense of the previous metas as shown in the previous tournaments/matches. He's no longer on par with Puppey when it comes to drafting and being a pos 5 strategist actively playing for a team. His passion is there but his game sense isn't. which is just sad but understandable since he's getting really old.
I bet to differ about kuro having low hero pool, in fact, for the past TIs he's got the record of having the most played for different heroes.

But I do get that he's on a different level now, not that positive level and I agree to you that he shouldn't be playing anymore. He's better to switch into coaching rather than playing.

There are other talented players that can play for him as a pos 5 but can't deny and argue about his experience. However, a change and push for him is a must if they want to see the team thrive.
