Pool back up with GUI working right this time

http://burstpool.ddns.net
Do the reward assignment to address BURST-7CPJ-BW8N-U4XF-CWW3U, wait 4 confirms then you can mine on pool.
Come on people, lets test this, see if it works. Spread the hashrate. Current pools are overloaded.
Miner connects to port 8124
1% fee.

Waiting for people to come forward, stating that they started to mine here and what space they got.

Reducing payout to 100 coins

I've got a question for you, but on second thought I think I will PM you on the forums. lol.
2322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 18, 2014, 02:11:30 PM
+1

I'm buying more shares

So far only 200 assets have sold for BMPOOL.
If the community does not want the idea of community owned hardware to continually create buy pressure, then I will not press it.  God knows I am busy enough already with the hashrate NXT community pool.

The asset # on the Burst AE is 11375670541237055652

Unless there are some more sizable investors soon, the idea will be abandoned and I will issue buy orders to buy back every share that was sold.

(the pool would not be investing in hashlets or the same Scrypt/SHA ASIC hardware that anyone else can buy and get hosted - we would be purchasing additional Scrypt-N FPGA hosted equipment the same way the Hashrate pool has recently invested (as it has an absolutely amazing ROI - less than 6 weeks).
no, I won't post the FPGA provider or manufacturer either. Smiley

I will continue to buy shares.

Just so that everyone knows, http://burst.today/?page_id=2  now has the beta of the GUI available for download.

It's just a BETA right now, and it only does solo mining at the moment.

We are going to be setting up a private pool that will work with it here shortly as well. But yea, you can at the very least use this if you are NEW TO BURST AND DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!

THIS PROGRAM WILL HELP YOU DOWNLOAD EVERYTHING, AND PLOT, THEN IT WILL HELP YOU TO START SOLO MINING. IF YOU WANT TO USE IT JUST TO PLOT, THEN POOL MINE, YOU CAN DO THAT AS WELL.

I'm trying to  get a few newbies to test it, and let me know what they think so that I can pass the words to the developer. We will be making updates regularly, and changes as people request them. Hoping to keep adding value to BURST!

Thanks!

Hi, attempting to mine burst using the new GUI, wallet installs fine, when I click begin plotting, i get  an error box stating 'unhandled exception has occurred,, Index was outside the bounds of array'

any ideas?
cheers

I'm having the dev take a look now.

oh ok, i thought its every day at the same time Smiley
its supposed to be every 250 coins earned or 100 blocks which ever sooner. but thats broken. 7 in 100 blocks and 100 blocks took what 14 hrs.... theres some whale of a miner cloud hasher out there who has vetted interest in say nxt or some other contender coin. jus my guess

There seems to be a prob with uray's pool. I suggest going to dev's pool v2. it has been working great.

There IS a big cloud miner trying to ruin burst in order to buy their own crap coin, but they will not succeed. Don't worry.
2327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 17, 2014, 04:53:46 PM
The price of burstcoin is collapsing, and with it also the bitcoin.

So you should still invest by buying hdd or not?

I calculated that with 10 TH/S gain more in btc than burst! Cheesy

don't buy HDD, buy BURST.
2328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 17, 2014, 04:04:28 PM
I'm a little annoyed, so I'm going to start a CLD fud campaign.

It doesn't seem right to me that CLD should be rising because it is only a parasite to true innovation, I.E. BURST.

They are severely limiting our profitability, and whoever you miners are that are just mining and dumping... You are just ridiculous. You are why BURST can't get off of the ground.

You can hold it and make more money. Do people know this? No investor wants to buy burst because they know miners are just dumping it for whatever they can get anyway. At this rate, might as well just wait till we are at 30 satoshis.

Do they even plan to store data on the nodes? They don't have a concept how that should work, at least I cant find it.

Looks like a payment system for their traditional cloud only.

I too, am annoyed, I haven't sold shit in a long time, mining and holding all the way, trying to promote burst as much as possible, but I agree, it's time to take action against these assholes. Let me know if I can do anything.
2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 17, 2014, 02:30:24 PM
If you are mining solo please post here how many block did you got in last 24h and how many TB you have and what miner is used. Thx in advance for your reply.

i'm trying it with 6tb, for now nothing and more than 24 are passed

25TB, 3 blocks....

Which miner? How many instances? Linux or Win? Thx for your reply.

Windows Java miner, one instance per PC (10.5GB and 14.5GB) and Windows.

But I recommend using Linux because there is a miner coded in C. Java miner is buggy lately with crashes and freezing.

Yes, its true. I have 24 GB RAM and 4-5 instances of java miner. It slows down computer and hangs from time to time.

I have around 16TB and have hit 2 blocks in 30 hours.
2330  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Black Widow, Antminer S1, PSU's, GPUs and other misc stuff on: September 17, 2014, 02:43:03 AM
bump open to offers!!

125 shipped for your widow to 89523

I ask him a price and he pm me 0.55 btc for black widow. This is the price of a Zeus Thunder 20 mh.

Anyway! Your 125 will probably not work!

you got it, i'm out anyway. something came up.
2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 17, 2014, 02:35:22 AM
Stuck at block 13080 ?...  Huh

Not stuck, just a long deadline. All OK - happens once in a while.

Quote
is reading speed of 133 mb/s enough (SATA 1) ?

Plenty. Don't worry about read speeds too much. Some people even read from 100Mbit NAS's.

I even found a few blocks in the first week with 2x IDE HDD's in RAID0, SATA1 should be about the same or faster.

This is why I love this coin. Lol. True Decentralization!
2332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 17, 2014, 12:07:46 AM
Come on guys, support BURSTMULTIPOOL - it might be the only thing buying some of your coins lol.

Asset 11375670541237055652

Click asset exchange on the left
Click add asset
paste in 11375670541237055652
Go to open orders
and place some buy orders.

100% of the proceeds will be used to buy mining ASICs to use on the pool and 100% of the BURST earned will be send out to the asset holders as a dividend.
only 60 shares have sold (that's only 60,000 BURST, which isn't even 0.2 BTC - nowhere near enough for ASIC equipment.)
If the asset doesn't get some support soon I'll just post a buy order to buy everyone's shares back from them and fold up

I'm going to buy 50 right now, so don't go anywhere yet.
TY
we desperately need more supporters like this.
I am also willing to sell shares directly for BTC
contact me for a BTC wallet address - same deal applies, 100% of all funds raised will go towards ASIC hardware.
I will send the appropriate number of shares directly to anyone who buys shares in bulk with BTC. (currently 1000 BURST buys 1 share)
the proceeds from the ASIC hardware will be split 100% amongst the shareholders (excluding the asset issuer, of course)

buying another 60. Bored and hoping this will go somewhere, because I'm definitely not selling my burst at these prices.

One thing I want to know...

Since these are going towards the purchase of new mining hardware (asics), when will you cash to BTC in order to buy them? Are you going to wait for the prices to be a certain number before cashing out? Or as soon as you have enough in theory to get... (WHICH asic btw?) you'll cash out... because waiting for a higher price is probably the better idea... but I don't know you probably have more experience than I do. So, let me know what you're going to do. Thanks!

dev, burst need more advertisement and promotion.......

Why rely on the dev to do this, he has enough to do. Why don't YOU do this? I know I am as much as my small reach goes.
2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 16, 2014, 10:55:31 PM
why 3 months ? because in 3 months we will have crazy features that no one ever think about.. trust me!

Are you working on anything interesting yourself?

Isn't that basically what he's saying? lol.
2335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 16, 2014, 10:31:34 PM
hey speed, did you try to priorise java in the task manager and then increase the xms to 2048 or more?

I have mine running with at least 5000 xmx a piece, the pool miners were crashing all the fuckin time. Then I switched back to solo, and seems all good. I think I will stay solo for a while or maybe switch to a private pool once I get the answers I am looking for. But at this point, it seems the best way to do anything with BURST is to install linux. That's until some new development gets rolling for Windows.

also, like people are saying, this coin is not a one pump, dump, disappear coin, it's one that can and will be mined long term because power for mining it is so cheap. I am in this till the end, hell, I even have my asics mining it via the multipool. Then I bought stake in the multipool for even more support. Long-term this will pay off and the price will increase...

No?  It certainly looks like a one pump dump coin to me so far.  Look at the historical price chart on C-CEX and compare it to CRYPT coin, the last big hot new coin that turned out to be a pile of crap.  Same pattern.  It's a has been and never will be again.

Yea, you could look at it that way, OR you could look at it as this is a huge accumulation phase for a few pumps that will come soon, then the coin will be on a steady rise till around 1500 sat. Where it will stay around 1000-1500 for a while and it will be happy in it's new home.

I can't wait for the day I can prove you wrong. This coin isn't just a clone like all the others, it's a completely new system. There are still a few kinks to work out, but once that happens, things will be golden.
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 16, 2014, 10:28:17 PM
If the price is going to skyrocket it most likely will go down a bit more first before people start going buy crazy.. just a spec
sold all my burst at 230 on poloniex and bought them all back at 203 on bittrex. i was to scared to withdraw them and lose my coins  Smiley

LoL good work.

You know that you can withdrawal to your own wallet, just not to bittrex from c-cex. lol.

What we need to do right now, is reach out to anyone with pull in the crypto community, and get them aware of the coin, get whales aware, make all little miners aware, let the normal person know that he can now mine by just leaving his computer on, and dedicating some hard drive space.

GET THE WORD OUT!

I'm doing my best, but I'm afraid my reach just isn't that far. We need people here with large twitter followings, etc in order to accomplish this.
2338  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling GAW Miners Black Widow 13+ MH/s on: September 16, 2014, 08:09:34 PM

Yes I can do $12/MH. Where do you live?

Why do you keep saying yes to people with stuff like this, then not selling? WIll you or will you not take 10/12/mh?
