I saw this and thought what a great group of people. Keep up the good work.

You ever get your stuff setup? Give me a shout if you need help still.

There is another GUI about to be released as well, that should help a lot.

The thing with BURST, is since it was a totally fair launch, no premine, no ipo, none of that, we don't have funds to hire people and rely fully on people who are willing to work for free.

most of the alt coins are not as fair as burst, i love it.

BURST will not die

i hope it, i dont want to see how died one of the best ALT coins ever, with the last great news you bring to us, this coin will be far away from died.

People can have patience, or leave the community. But there are many of us that will never leave, and will continue to do what needs to be done for the coin.

you can count with ppl like me on the burst community until the end ( and this will never happend Tongue )

Just because one dev may not be currently working for the project, doesn't mean that all of the many others are doing the same, we still have quite a few people who are working on things for the coin.

you know, sometimes ppl need to read it again and again to see that everything is going good.

Yes, we need a roadmap, and I will put one together shortly after discussing with a few people the direction we want to go, however, I can say this...

- Get clean GUI with all tools needed together, with simple setup exe, and make it easy enough for any normal windows user to run.

- implement all current BURST tools both CPU and GPU miners and plotters, and make them usable with simple GUI tools.

- push this GUI, and let the world know that HDD mining is now easy enough for a monkey.

this is what I will tell people for now. The rest I will have to talk to more of the team in order to figure out.

Thanks.

AWESOME, im sure that this will help this coin a lot, sometimes little things are more needed than big steps Wink and im not saying that you guyss are not doing a GREAT job.

TY man and ty to all the devs who still working on this coin.

Thank you, it is a pleasure to have people such as yourself in the community!

@notabeliever - tompool chat is hardly a place to find people willing to actually help you.

you never PMd me, if you had, I would have definitely assisted you.

asking questions in the thread is fine, but questions sometimes go overlooked in a thread so large.

there are many other places to ask where they won't be overlooked, such as burstforum.com.

if you have specific questions you can either PM me, or skype me, or hell, I will even log in to IRC if you don't like skype, because honestly neither do I.

I also have XMPP if you prefer encrypted forms of communication.

Basically what I'm saying here, is that I'm not going to get into specific user questions in the ANN thread which is already over polluted with nonsense.

I WILL, however, help you on a personal level via any form of communication you deem worthy, but... you have to actually contact me in order for this to happen. Cool?

I think this is more than fair. But please, don't post technical BURST questions here in the ANN, go to burstforum, or PM with them, that would be greatly appreciated.

Dear BURST fellows,

I have followed this coin for months and want it to success. But no real development for months and the price crashed like no tomorrow. Dcct, the one who has many contributors to BURST has left this coin and joins LIMX (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=895425.new#new). It really makes me to dump my BURST and buy LIMX. What do u guys think ?

Thanks in advance.

No pumpers so far )) Joke.

More seriously we need more assets that earn dollars and buy BURST for dividend.
Someone can say that these dividend will be sold and price will go down.
But... volume will be increased as well as liquidity. Also not all dividend will be sold immediately.
I think we need may be 5000-10000$ dividend that push BURST price. So it needs 20 times more investment.

Just burned another 2 burst coins trying to set up the miner and plots. Again this is the reason and should of been a priority. How many coins have been taken this year from people trying to figure this out. I will be sticking to c/cgminer and my S5's  good luck all
.
You need people first.
You need a simple an easy mining system to attract more people to mine your coin.

When you have that then its easy to sit back and collect dividends. What do you think is the total amount of users?
Remember The saying "Don't collect taxes unless you have people to collect from"

There are many people here who would help you, including myself. All you have to do is ask.

We know what is needed, and we're working on it, whether people see it or not, it is happening.

The thing with BURST, is since it was a totally fair launch, no premine, no ipo, none of that, we don't have funds to hire people and rely fully on people who are willing to work for free.

This also means that the people are probably not going to have 8 hours a day to dedicate to the project. Meaning, certain things may take a bit longer than we would like, to happen.

This doesn't mean things are not happening.

BURST will not die, and it WILL get out to the people, easily mined, and easily setup.

I would expect maybe another 2 weeks or so while we iron out the last of the issues, and make it super easily setup, and user-friendly.

People can have patience, or leave the community. But there are many of us that will never leave, and will continue to do what needs to be done for the coin.

Just because one dev may not be currently working for the project, doesn't mean that all of the many others are doing the same, we still have quite a few people who are working on things for the coin.

No one will mine it unless you make it much easier to setup. Has it occurred to anyone that their are much more newbies learning to mine everyday. I installed Minersgate and it was clean easy and polished. as soon as it was installed it was mining away, of course don't like the coins. awesomeminer, guiminer multiminer all achieved the goal of quickly mining with everything in one package.

Burst today installer doesn't even work. Almost and looked closer to getting me to mine.

Then  make setup as a trial mode as not to burn burst coins every time one tries to configure what ever I need to configure.

Point and shoot the miner to the pool and nothing else. I'm thinking along the lines of a simple cgminer bat file. We are talking everything gets setup inside this bat file including plot files if that is the case. Uray, blago is it possible. Can we log into a pool withe user/password then set an account using burst address?

The guides don't work or outdated

There is something soon to be released (already in beta) that will fix all of this. Stay tuned. I'm going to do some testing on it right now.

Will you ship to malaysia

That is a huge hassle, but I guess if you're willing to pay the shipping fees, which will likely be WAY more than the device itself, totally up to you.

Hello, I have an S1 that has been updated to an S3, but during my last move a couple of the capacitors were knocked off. I have the capacitors as well, so if someone is decent with soldering, I'm sure they could fix it.

Asking ~50USD in BTC only. Escrow for any non-trusted members. This miner was fully working, I haven't run it since this happened, but I know it can be repaired.

Thanks!

I am real confuse. I read through the main page and could not figure this one out. good luck im out.

It really isn't that confusing... but if you'd like to, instead of figuring it out, run off, that's fine I suppose.

But, if you'd like to know...

Basically, he's going to be building a huge photovoltaic power plant.

This power plant will be both generating power (obviously, it's a power plant) and mining BURST and BTC (maybe other coins too.)

When the mining is profitable (which for BURST it probably will always be, but BTC maybe not, as we all know.) the plant will mine coins.

When the mining isn't profitable, or less profitable than selling the power directly, they will do that.

It is a pretty damn good idea. They have plenty of information you can find on it, it isn't that hard to figure out if you take about 5 min and try.

but yea, later.  Roll Eyes

Surely this has been answered before and I apologize but I can't scroll through 1100 pages of this ANN. Compared to mining with asic or gpu how much electricity will a 1tb hard drive use? Is HDD mining energy efficient and cheaper on the electric bill?

A hard drive on its own uses about 5-10w, but you do need it plugged into a machine which will also use some power.

BURST mining with 80+ TB at my house, and I honestly notice basically no difference in my power bill over just leaving my computers on and not mining. So I would almost say that mining is free. To me, it basically is.

It will catch on, and it is.

Also @ Elmit - development is still VERY active. We have already seen a release of the GPU miner recently, and there is other development going on that will be released shortly upon BURST's bday, that will give more ease of use to the every day computer user.

burstdev himself is active in the core slack, so no, no one has abandoned BURST by any means, and please, stop with your nonsense.

Just because none of us has the ability to work solely for BURST (even though we would love to, it currently just isn't feasible) doesn't mean that nothing is going on.

People can help by donating to the BURSTPromoDevFund AT that I've setup either through the AT section of the wallet, or by sending BURST to BURST-CXF4-GBPX-R6BV-G4P8K

When we get enough money there (and the main reason we don't have it yet, is because it was stolen...) we will hire professional PR company to promote BURST as well.

BUT, you know, you can also do some promotion on your own, no one is stopping you. But then again, how many people will actually listen to you? So would you really do anything good for the coin or not?

Anyway, don't start again with this 'burst is dead' nonsense. It just isn't true, and you're simply being annoying for the sake of being annoying.

no one is stopping you from doing anything to help the coin, aside from the fact that no one likes you and no one trusts you. Which you've brought upon yourself.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, Not paying!!! on: July 27, 2015, 08:42:39 PM
Wow, this just gets crazier and crazier. I have not checked the threads for a few months and now there is a 17BTC maintenance fee on my account. I have less than 3k shares left on this account and 460 2nd gen shares. Is the maintenance fee on 2nd gen shares as well? Are 2nd gen shares even online?

I got a 55BTC fee applied on my 3200 qAsic shares so yea looks like you got the fee applied to your 2nd Gen's too making this a definite scam.

Most of my qAsics werent purchased until late last year and Ive probably only recouped $5k of my $10k investment and now he wants 55BTC in fees which is a joke, as the fee is supposed to be for 12 months (with the next fee becoming due this December) & I havent even been paid me for the last 7 months of the current 12 mth period. Course, I wont be giving him another cent of my money.

Are you required to pay 55 BTC for 3200? or do you have 32.000 shares? Besides the fee being ridiculous high anyway, this looks way out of line with others Smiley

Ah yea, sorry, I meant 32,000 shares.

that looks pretty normal... due to the high number of gen2 it could be interesting to do the math how many week's you need to ROI.

If the Gen2 still pay 1,5 LTC a week I don't think there is a chance you'll ROI on that within the year you're paying for Tongue

don't forget the 32K shares, ROI should be around 7-8 weeks.

Assuming payments continue to be made. Would anyone in their right mind really trust Cris with more of their own money when he hasnt even paid whats already owed?

No. The answer is no.

But in reality, people definitely have. Those people, must apparently be not in their right minds. lol.

-[ByteEnt asset announcement]-

Hello everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that there has been 4TB added to the BURSTCITY1 miner. (You can watch the miner on http://burst.ninja pool.) This miner mines for the ByteEnt asset to increast payouts. (The miner is now approximately 29TB in size, and it will continue to grow.)

I am also deciding right now on how much of the INCOME asset I have, that I will dedicate to ByeEnt as well.

Thank you for your continued support of ByteEnterprises!
1440  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: July 24, 2015, 10:05:29 PM
Would like to come back and post an update on the http://byte.enterprises investments that I've mentioned way earlier in the thread.

Thus far there has been 0 missed payouts, and ByteEnt asset has been paying around 5% a month. ByteBank has never missed its steady monthly payout.

I don't expect us to EVER miss a payout, and there are 2 more contributing factors to ByteEnt payouts that are coming now. Ads on the Blockexplorer generating revenue, and another asset that I'm planning on putting payouts from, into ByteEnt for better payouts.

Also, I have 10TB more mining power I will be adding to the ByteEnt asset miner within the next few days, just have to actually get the time to put it into the cluster of the rest of the mining drives.

More and more people are realizing that BURST has the most advanced technology that a lot of other coins are TRYING to do, and BURST has already done. It has the power for a decentralized eBay, and decentralized cryptocurrency exchange, and I've got plans in mind for a couple sites that will use BURST tech to make these ventures as well.

The asset has appreciated in value from its last release of 15 BURST, to now the latest trades of over 30 BURST! I expect it to do nothing but grow!

Thank you for your time and support of ByteEnterprises!

edit - also note, that http://burst.ninja (the pool of which the fee comprises the majority of ByteEnt asset payouts) is now the largest in the world for BURST! We are very happy about this, it means that our development is great, and the miners love our payout system. Our code was developed from the ground up, and the pool has be extremely stable, no crashes in the last... wow it has been a very long time indeed! I can't even remember the last time I have had to restart it. Everything is going very well. All we need now is increase in BURST overall price. Wink
