-[ANNouncement]- SERVER HARDWARE CHANGES FOR BURST.GA

Quote
HELLO everyone...

as this ANN says, I am going to have to have the server's hardware changed today, without warning and I apologize for that...

The server's license for VMWare needs to be changed, and I was unaware that my license only supported a certain amount of memory, of which the server has 4GB too much, so the easiest way to fix this, would be to have my host remove 4GB of RAM so I can use my license.

This is what is going to have to happen. I don't know exactly how long it will take to happen, but it's VERY ANNOYING... and I'M SORRY.

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO MINE ON THE CLOSED BETA POOL, LET ME KNOW AND I WILL GIVE YOU THE INFORMATION.

I apologize for this, once again, and hopefully the downtime will be minimal.

As soon as I post this, I am going to give them the go-ahead to pull the plug and do the hardware changes. So be prepared.

If anyone would like to change over to the beta pool, just let me know. It's up and running, finding blocks, and paying out. Thanks!

edit: server changes complete, server back online.

1905  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Blackarrow Prospero-X3 (~1100GH/s) on: January 12, 2015, 06:45:25 PM
I can tell you for sure that 2BTC per unit is about double or more of what they're worth.

You're likely to get offers around .5-.75 BTC per.
1906  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] GAW War Machine 45*MH - CHEAP! on: January 12, 2015, 06:02:11 PM
I assume this deal is done, but if not, I'm down.

Price drop, lets get these sold!

You ready for 220 shipped yet?

lol...

1911  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS Antminer S3 x5 Batch 1 CHEAPEST PRICE ON BCT on: January 10, 2015, 07:11:20 PM
is there no way at all that you could maybe...

1. Sell me the S3's and ship them together with the PSUs in the same box to save on shipping?

2. I am still interested, and if we can work out a good overall price, including shipping, I will go for it.

3. I just think that paying around 200 dollars for shipping seems way high, and there has to be a way to get the prices down so we can make the sale.

My new offer is as follows...

S3 - $110 (shipping included) / each

PSU - $40 (shipping included) / each

if these prices are acceptable to you, I will purchase 2 S3 and 2 PSU, for a grand total of $300. I would be possibly interested in buying the other 3 and 3 as well, shipped together as well just as the first order would, but I am still figuring a few things out, so for now I would like to do just the 2 and 2, then once I get the rest of the stuff figured out that I need to, if you still have the other 3, I would like them as well.

Let me know if this is acceptable to you.

It is what it is but I think taking pokes at Mage is silly. I don't doubt he got the email, whether or not the email contents mean we'll see any action is another matter altogether.

+1

Ye nice to put Mage on the scammer list for relaying a message.

So this new rule is the age + posts of your account is directly related to your scammyness.(more is more scammy)

Thats nice news of all those shill 1 post accounts they must clearly be trustworthy.

Im also w8ing on my payments and im not "happy" but i dont resort to slinging mud at people just trying to help out.

+1

It not about finger pointing at anyone as a scammer.  It's about not trusting anyone just because of "respected" status.

Everyone I've heard talk about TheMage, says he's transparent, trustworthy, and everyone knows his real name. That is how I am as well, and I'm very trusted too. So I don't think it's about "respected status" it's about being honest and trustworthy, and from what I can tell, TheMage is just that. So any sort of slander, without knowing anything specific about TheMage doing anything untrustworthy, is ridiculous. IMO.

What should I do? (Unconfirmed Transaction)

Would not surprised if the date keeps changing by one day for a while now just to string people along. If something truly is wrong and he needs more time he should post a more detailed update.

See here, e-mail received by litecointalk mod TheMage :-

Interested in this, but a few questions...

1. Can you give your lowest price you'll accept to avoid the nonsense.

2. Where are you located (this may be answered already)

3. Please include shipping in your final price so I know exactly what I would have to pay. (zip code 89523 Reno, NV)

4. This may be answered as well, I will re-read OP... but to continue hosting, costs?

Thanks!

1. Lowest price is $1500 + shipping
2. I'm located in San Jose, CA but the unit is located in Denver, CO.
3. Shipping is based on where it will be delivered. EDIT: At most it will be $50
4. Continued collocation hosting service price list is found here: http://minersource.net/products/spondoolies-tech-sp30-31-hosting-colocation

Awesome, sounds good man, I'm in the middle of figuring out what I'm doing and what I want to get, and how much my altered power system can handle. Once I figure all of this out, if you still have the item, I'll want it. I'm hoping to get the details figured out within the next couple days. Thank you for the information, and since you're so close to me, it would be a great buy for me.

Okay, I need help. Im trying to run any miner on my x64 CentOS machine. Can't Make Uray's miner and dcct's returns "no passphrase found" when trying to connect to pool. Any ideas on later one of how to run it with pool other then devs ans urays?

Make sure your config file is setup correctly. Also make sure there is no passphrase.txt file in the miner folder. I'm not 100% on linux, but I know you can't have that in the folder in Windows, when trying to pool mine.

It worked Wink. Now with urays miner on Debian - when trying devs v2 pool it get stuck on

Code:
Submission Max Delay : 30
Submission Max Retry : 3
Buffer Size : 128MB
Pool Host : 178.62.39.204 port 8121
resolving hostname 178.62.39.204
Remote IP 178.62.39.204

You cannot use Uray's miner on dev's pool. Not as far as I know anyway.
1917  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BUYING - Hard drives, LARGE drives, warranty preferred. on: January 08, 2015, 11:32:50 PM

I secondly prefer maybe Hitachi actually... Because I want to do more testing with their drives, and so far they've been nice to me.

I'm selling a Hitachi drive, it's only a 750GB & I'm in the UK, so not sure if it'll be worth the postage costs......

Peace  Smiley

Thanks for the post, but it wouldn't be worth the shipping. Smiley

I've got 14 and 1/2 SATA Cables if you are still needing more. The 1/2 is a little short one, about 4.5" long.

Sure, if you'll ship em to me for 25 total.
1919  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BUYING - Antminer S5 or Spondoolies SP20 in USA on: January 08, 2015, 11:28:37 PM
Just putting it out there, I know they're highly sought after, but I would also like at least one of each for testing I'm doing.

Thanks!

What price are you paying?

Well, I would say something less than new, but I don't really know... 450 for an sp20? Maybe? Something like 300 or so for an S5?
