Thanks for answers, irontiga and bobafett.  Smiley I have also had good results with Dev2 but not the last days.

To add a lil bit to this, burst.ninja pool pays a large bonus to the block finder, then if the pool finds the block, and you have a low share that is close to the block finder, you also get a large bonus. So larger miners should benefit from this, as well as larger miners are generally higher up on the historic share pie as well, so they get a more steady larger payout.

Has anyone had any disk failures yet? Been mining Burst on 6 HDDs for almost a year now without any issues. Guess this coin isn't too bad for HDDs.

Nope, not a single drive failure, unless you count the one that my baby son decided would be fun to pull on the floor, (facepalm). But you can hardly blame BURST for that. heh.
1443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, Not paying!!! on: July 22, 2015, 06:46:34 PM
weekly payments are credited to accounts who payed the fee, payments are on the low edge of the weekly BTC/LTC rate.

Hi ! Pl. can u confirm if those who paid the fees did get payments frm begining of jan 2015 which were due to them?

Can everybody confirm if this is true please?

Thanx

I think you've got some wrong info here...

The people who have been ridiculous enough to pay the fees, started getting weekly payouts (lagged most of the time, but still weekly) from that point on, nothing from the past has been paid, nor will it... IMO.

Not sure what happened, but if he is taking the legal route then it may mean he's no longer allowed to discuss it here. Either that or Ryan has decided to pay him back.

Doubtful that he was paid back, wouldn't Mr waldo want to get his rep on the forums and for his business back? I know I would. It seems 105% scam at this point. Sadly it seems that is the way of 90% of the crypto business owners. Sucks.

It would be a great improvement just to know that OP is updated if one misses five pages of this thread. To avoid criticism of censorship, this thread could even be kept open, just make sure most of the discussion is in the new thread.

Another reason for doing this is that we have one of the most brilliant maindevs around, if not the most brilliant. It's simply bad division of labour to him also do all the updates that a monkey could do. Let him code.

thats a good idea. still have to sort out some things on burstcoin.biz and working on new layout. will update site step by step within next days and also add some useful information for burst newcomer

why has the site been handed to a newb account again?

ffs ppl...this is not how you do business...

I am quite certain that the site is in excellent hands and mind Wink smaxer wouldn't just leave a years work to someone he isn't familiar with

newb account is a newb account. means they dont want to show their real face. Means this shit is dodgy.
what other reasons would you have for a newb account? i dont get it....

I offered a server for free for this and managing of the website, but noone reached out to me Smiley

I also offered a free server, but it seems he has handled this in another fashion. He did what he did, with a site he owned. It is what it is.

Burst.MiningHere.Com has been updated (or is in the process).

Features includes:

1. Fits all screen sizes

2. Login

 After successfully login

2.1 you can change your settings:
add / remove miners under your account
add / remove / split payout addresses (not necessary miner BURST addresses)
edit payout threshold (at least 250 BURSTs)
        edit estimated payout time(s)
edit % of payments among your payout addresses (each has a minimum threshold of 250 BURSTs)
 2.2 Look at your statistics

3. Register

3.1 Get a communication BURST address
You can use an existing or create a new BURST address for this. This BURST address must have at least a balance of 1,000 BURSTs!
 3.2 Choose a Nick name
Anything with more than 10 characters is fine. However, it may NOT start with "BURST-" and may not include a space. Trailing space(s) will be ignored.
3.3 Add your communication BURST address
3.4 Click on "Get Key" button

The system will check:
        * balance of this BURST address. If balance is less than 1,000 BURSTs, the registration will be rejected.
        * if your Nick name is already in use, the registration will be rejected.
        * if your Nick name includes space(s), the registration will be rejected. Trailing blanks are ignored.
        * if your Nick name has less than 10 characters, the registration will be rejected.

After successfully registration, a key will be sent to your communication BURST address.

// work in progress, more to come //

As long as you've fixed everything, whatever you do, if it continues to be 100% legit, is whatever. Just don't be such an asshat. Thanks.

-[AT Launch announcement]-

I have decided to start making use of ATs, thus showing what they are capable of, and actually using some of the amazing tech that BURST has to offer. I have officially launched a new AT that will do the following...

1. The AT will collect all funds it is given, for a period of about 3 months.

2. The AT will hold these funds, acting as a temporary 'burn' address of sorts, locking the funds away so that no one has access to them.

3. Upon about the 3rd month, this AT will start shooting out 25k BONUS PAYOUTS to BURST.NINJA pool / month! This will slowly redistribute the funds back to the community in the form of bonus payouts to burst.ninja pool, and will also help to compensate for the decreasing block reward, giving miners more money later!

I think it is a fun and cool idea, and if it works out, I will be setting up another, so there will be multiple 25k donations to bonus address monthly Smiley The name of the first AT is called BonusNinja, you can donate to it by sending BURST to this address...

BURST-NPTQ-MQPM-FACZ-H8SV5

I have started the AT and sent a test donation of 150 BURST.

The miners on burst.ninja thank all who decide to contribute! Let us continue to use the amazing technology of BURST!

... and if you make a "HOW TO " document about that, many others could follow your good example. THAT would be finally something to promote!

Finally deciding to suggest decent suggestions? I will once I learn myself, as of right now ATs are pretty advanced. We're doing our best to get a GUI AT creator made. That's something to promote as well. Believe me man, we aren't just sitting around doing nothing. We are actually out to make BURST better, and get more attention to it. For now, if anyone needs an AT made, all they have to do is post here, or on burstforum, or on the public slack (burstcoin.slack.com) and we'll get it to the team that can do it, and have it made.

And, courtesy of crowetic, a quote for those how did not read the thread at burstforum.com. IncomeAsset wrote:

Indeed, I start to fall in love with BURST, it's similar to NXT, but it has achieved more innovative levels than NXT in far less time with less devs. I also like the HDD mining concept, it's a very pioneer innovation, so i guess BURST can reach above NXT price easily, and its severely undervalued right now.

This is so true. I have never been more convinced than now that Burst's value will be on a whole different level if we just give it time. Of course, the process would speed up immensely by support from a crowdfunding campaign or VCs but I', certain it will come despite funding.

The undervalue question was brilliantly pointed out by Karl Perkin on his Twitter, although not many read it, but for some reason he seem to have changed his focus into a regular cryptocurrency account. Too bad since his tweets could have been an excellent basis for a document to highlight the undervaluation and attract crowdfunders or VCs.

regarding the funding...

-[ANNouncement!]-

I have launched an AT for funding the development and hiring of professional PR for BURST.

https://wallet.burst.city/atcrowdfund.html

it is toward the bottom if you click "all" on the left, you'll see "BURSTDevPromoFund"

you can also donate by sending directly to address - BURST-CXF4-GBPX-R6BV-G4P8K - which will fund the AT also.

Please donate to help make BURST bigger and better! Thank you!

all burst block explorers are dead....what happen...
price really down, explorers down....
is this coin dead already Huh Huh

Far from dead. Our block explorer is temporarily down for maintenance, and the other, like Haitch said, was maliciously attacked by a wonderful member of our own community. Nice, right?

Everyone should be VERY WARY of ELMIT.

But yea, the coin is far from dead, in fact, I'm in the process of setting up a new AT for some regular bonus payouts to ninja miners, and building a new pool for our lottery idea!

-[Possibility of FUN announcement]-

Okay, so...

We were thinking... and since mining BURST right now really isn't making anyone anything...

What about if we do this! *drumroll*

-Possibly turn burst.ninja into a LOTTERY POOL! (what is a lottery pool you may ask?)

...how it would work...

1. Miners would mine on burst.ninja pool the same as they always would.

2. A decided upon percentage of the payouts, 25, 50, 75, hell, even 100% if majority approves... will go into a lottery winning fund.

3. You can purchase, or... we'll setup another address where you can actually MINE for lottery tickets only...

4. The winner of the lottery, will be paid out the lottery winner fund, this gives people a chance at making more than they would make in MONTHS mining, in a single week. It also gives smaller miners a chance at winning more than they'd ever be able to mine. We think it is a fun idea, especially since BURST mining is pretty boring right now, we figured we'd spice it up a bit.

So, I'm gathering opinions on this right now, the weekly payouts of burst.ninja pool are very high, as we're one of the largest pools. We were estimating it at around 1.5-2 million burst per week.

This means that if we give 50% of the payouts to the lottery, that's close to 1 million BURST paid out each week in the lottery! IF you setup your miners to mine for lottery tickets instead of BURST, you would have a pretty decent chance of winning, and even if it took you 2 months to win, you won't be able to mine a million burst in that short of a period of time, it has taken my 25TB miner over the time the pool has been running to make just close to 650k. The pool has been running quite a while, too. So the odds of mining a million burst for any normal miner, in anything less than probably 8 months or more, is pretty much impossible.

We think this is a fun idea that hasn't been done before, we think it gives people a reason to mine BURST, we think it gives a reason to use the ATs, we think it gives a reason for people to BUY BURST, to participate in this large lottery, we think it is a good idea, but we would like to get the opinions of our miners, and the community on this.

So, let us know what you think! Thanks!

**the ByteEnt asset miner would be setup to mine for lottery tickets only, to give the asset a chance at winning the lottery and thus splitting the dividends to all the asset holders as well!**

The idea has been shot down. Nevermind.

Does BURST have a BURN ADDRESS??

If not, can we create one?

..Mine 20TB of SV35 hdds are still pointed at burst.ninja. There is no worth of mining now at all , but I support the BURST...

Yea, the pool is nowhere near paying for itself each month, I'm paying out of my pocket to keep it running, because I still believe in BURST. These are the times where we just grin and keep on truckin, and know that in the future, there will be a time when we know it will all be worth it.

In fact, I have another 10+ TB that I haven't even hooked up because the hassle is not worth the rewards right now... lol. It is very sad.

But I will be hooking them up, and I will be keeping this pool running, and we will just keep moving, and keep trying to find ways to get BURST more recognized, and get people excited about it.

There is no reason to stop mining, because it doesn't cost much, but the pool's host isn't cheap, and it is just lucky that I make enough to afford to run things even though the pool is definitely not paying for itself. lol.

Really sad this coin reached 1k when with a single 2t i could mine millions a day, and now with high difficulty is less then 100 satoshi.

Go burst.

it never reached 1k btw, but I agree it is ridiculous the price right now.

Yes, it reached 1.1k.
It was early september 2014 on c-cex.

burst was at 1100+sat on c-cex ... good old days ... ;P
burst was not even on polo ...
but there were never more than 3,6 mil. burst a day ... so 'millions' is unrealistic.

I don't count that lol. I remember selling on the forums before it was on any exchange at all, 250 sat was the agreed upon price. xD

and yea, even with 50+ TB I was never getting anywhere near millions a day. It took quite a while still to get a million.
