-[ANN]- A simplified way to create a new BURST account for beginners!I wanted to do this since we have an official web wallet now... So people can get into BURST easily...
Follow the following steps to create a new BURST account!1. Go to the official online wallet here... https://wallet.burst.city:8125
2. Click 'returning user'
3. Make up a long password, and type it out in a TXT doc, don't LOSE it!
4. Paste the password into the returning user login area.
5. You now have a BURST ID, and pubkey! Copy them both, and save them somewhere. This is your BURST wallet!
6. Go to a faucet, and/or message me, and I'll start you off with some coins.
7. Once you get the coins, send one coin to a random BURST address. Feel free to use mine, or the burst.ninja bonus payout addy @ BURST-NJNA-VMCX-2WTH-AJLQX
8. Your BURST wallet is now officially yours forever, all you have to do now is NOT LOSE YOUR PASSWORD.
Enjoy being part of the most technically advanced crypto coin to ever exist! Thank you!

Rebranding is a good idea. I am sure there are better name than burst which reflect the product.
I suspect Burst reflects the Bursts of energy when you are reading from the hard drive? What kind of name would you go with? Not convinced we need one, I like Burst. Btw, if you do find one you really, really like.. grab the domain names and hold on to them. If you can get them cheap before someone squats on it, I'm sure we could pay you back if we go with that name. Look at Google and yahoo and Microsoft, etc, how many companies have a name that really represents them? @bitladen keep in mind the largest account of Burst exactly matches percentage wise Satoshi's holding of total coin supply. I own far too many BURST related domains to support brand change, not to mention people are starting to know BURST, and I'm pushing more than ever for the name to be recognized. There should NOT be a rebranding for the hell of it.

Soo buy virals for 3btc and what is the benefit of burning? The sponsor gets the Verified or ....?Could someome explain me,I can't get it from the OP
The benefit of burning coins, is diminishing the supply, and thus the coins everyone holds go up in value.

You are going to have to be patient in your dumping Bob. No volume. But you'll get there, I'm sure. You wont be the one holding the bag. Cutting losses is smart, you understand this better than most. But it'll be a close call. A week, tops. Then, under 1k.
Wanna make a bet on that? We can escrow the btc. 1 BTC10 BTC50 BTCWtv you wanna bet I'll bet that it wont be at 1K in a week. That will depend entirely on your and the fatso-nazo's dumping. I will bet you both dump. We'll soon see, won't we? With all those "followers" this is sure to go ... well, viral. Amazing that you two can still somewhat pull these stunts. Simply amazing. May I suggest to sell also some dick pills along with the "coin"? Market's ripe for it... You are just like everybody else who is FUDing this coin, when asked to put money where your mouth is you can't do it. All talk with nothing to back it up. Same as when people ask 24/7 fakecryptonews to reveal what "facts" they have that this is a scam, they can't because they don't actually have any proof so instead they just divert away and repeat "scam, scam, scam" without anything to back it up. It is all generally very annoying. VIRAL is going places and anyone can see that. Already have the ability to get a message out to over 53k people at once. Simply awesome.

SSL is not strictly required, it just adds an additional level of security. If you take a look at a packet trace of you authenticating to a non-SSL wallet, the pass phrase is not sent over the wire. Instead, after you enter your passphrase, the browser requests the publickey for your account (The account ID is generated from the passphrase). Presumably then, the private key (also generated from the passphrase) is used to validate the public key and grant access.
So, even without SSL the passphrase cannot be harvested, SSL just adds an additional layer by making the entire conversation encrypted.
SSL is required for real security. SSL provides both encryption and authentication. Without SSL, it is possible to perform a man-in-the-middle attack. For example: an attacker sitting in the middle of your non-SSL connection can replace the javascript on the webpage with malicious javascript that harvests your password. I'm glad Burst City added SSL to their wallet, but it really should have been there all along. To be honest, in this day and age, every website should have SSL, especially a website that is dealing directly with sending and receiving a crypto-currency. Two notes to that:1. SSL is as good as the certificate is. There are different levels. Some, as this one, are only good that you know the connection is secure. It misses contacts, background checks, ... Basically this certificate says: the connection is correct! 2. The next step is what the server does with your information. ... I don't want to spell out what could happen, if the passphrase leaks to the owner/employee/hacker of that site. With all anonymity, ... we know not even who is xxx of that site. I strongly recommend NOT to use such site for MONEY sensitive issues! For me it is merrily a "proof of concept", but not to use! Elmit, Crowetic is a known, trusted, member of the burst community. I trust the services he provides totally. If you offered a web wallet I wouldn't trust it even if you offered 10x the encryption level. Reputation and history is everything, and you fail on both. H. Wow... in Crowetic's defense... he has been completely transparent if nothing else. He has been a part of Burst when only like 5 or 6 of us were chatting in the beginning. Elmit... if it's the same Elmit I know of from burstforum... you couldn't give me anything he has to offer if it was free and you added something to it. Thanks guys. Yes, I am nothing but transparent, I don't hide, and all of my services are legitimate. I will never steal from anyone and never have. I truly believe in BURST and wish nothing but for its success.

The SSL was something that was done for peace of mind and for no other purpose 3. If you don't trust me, don't use my wallet, no one is forcing you.

It will only get better from here folks, there are people really taking interest in the tech behind our coin, it's only a matter of time now. THANK YOU DEVS! I think we should show some support, maybe we should have another CF AT started to support the awesome developers in the ACCT! @devs - can we get this AT created? I will start it off with 300k. Lets set it up for a total of 4 Million.

Its not "local" wallet. Any reason for use this new wallet and advantages from it? One possibility of using: "InfoAddr" : "wallet.burst.city", "InfoPort": 8125, @catbref: can you open public http at different port? Thank you bro! Everyone, we now have an official online BURST wallet, the advantages of which are not having to have the blockchain on your local rig, and we can now make tools that work around the online wallet. We will be setting up all of the AT stuff there, and making tools that work with it, for ease of use for BURST. Thanks again cat! How do I know this isn't collecting people's passwords? I thought this would be avoided with the addition of SSL (even though not even that is necessary). I'm not collecting passwords... That would be stupid, but SSL should prove what I'm saying.

Netweight is over 2 million. That is super high? I think so. I have staked ove 1800 coins so far. Great investment this coin was and is.
Yes I believe this is one of the largest netweights I have seen as of yet. I think before this it was around 1.3 million that I had seen but I don't remember on what coin. Looking at the charts and ccex its clear that this coin is in high demand, and will surpass all our wildest expectations. Quick question for Adam here. Adam. Do you think it will be more then 3 months before we start to receive our payments for being a node and how often will my twitter account be used. I think it is about 1 time a day so far and that is great. More then 2 or 3 a day will be too much I think. It is now over 2.3 million and only keep growing. Real recordbreaker here. I expected nothing less, just wish I had had more BTC to throw at the CF.
