1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.0 Automated Transactions on: December 29, 2014, 09:21:42 PM
alright, everyone! Now I have another announcement, on more of a 'personal' note...

-[POOL: http://burst.ga ANNOUNCEMENT]-

Hello again! I have another announcement for everyone! Also, I'm looking for a little bit of help from the community, if possible! please read below...

The pool is going to be changing to a completely new code that NO OTHER POOL HAS! This means, that I will be doing a bunch of testing, then closed and open betas, as to not release a beta on the world without first doing serious testing. This means, too, that I'm going to need some help!

Here's the setup... currently we have a test pool running (http://burstpool.shmtech.biz:8124/) the new pool code. it's currently setup to use the same wallet as burst.ga does, but it will NOT, I repeat, NOT find a block right now. It's SOLELY for testing. So, what I need from the current miners on burst.ga who are capable, is for some people to dual mine, run two miners on the same drives, and run one on the test pool. I am doing this on 2 of my rigs that have the extra CPU power in order to accomplish this.

What will happen, is that the new pool will take submissions, but will never find a block, this is testing only, to see how the pool reacts to miners. you will also be able to see the beginning of the stats, and a functional, but not very pretty, stats page, and front-end. This will all be re-designed once the back end is all good and everything is working as it should.

Also, the people who help me with this, along with a couple others who have already requested it through a PM, will be my closed beta testers for the pool when it goes to closed beta. If you are interested in assisting me with this testing, please do so, all  you have to do, is run two copies of the miner you're currently running on my pool, and run a second one pointing to the test pool at http://burstpool.shmtech.biz:8124/

http://burstpool.shmtech.biz:8124/ is also the stats page, the pool automatically knows if you're a miner or a browser, and goes to whichever page accordingly.

Thank you to catbref, my wonderful lead developer, for putting this project together in an amazingly fast amount of time, and always being there for the development work I need. Thank you again brother!

Please PM me if you would like to be a closed beta tester, but don't have the CPU power to dual mine on the test pool right now. Thanks!

Your assistance in this essential testing is much appreciated, and will help us to launch the first pool that's non-dev, non-uray code, meaning this will give miners yet another choice, and add decentralization to the network, we will have more stats, more options, more settings, and better payout system than the other pools, and I can't wait until it's live. So thanks again to the wonderful community here, and please PM me if you're interested in any of this.

Much appreciated BURST community, I love you all!

Congrats on being first to implement AT.  Can't wait for more coins to get on board and start a new wave of decentralised trading without exchanges or pointless intermediary alts (shameless cash-ins like unity and block).  This is what real innovation looks like.  Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much, and if you feel like it, please announce the good news to everyone you can! Glad to have you in the community!

-[PR Announcement!]-

Hello wonderful world of BURST! Just as promised, we, the PR team, have come up with another PR related announcement for you! This time, it's in regards to smart contracts, AKA ATs!

The following link, will provide you with the document, please feel free to use it to spread the word and information regarding ATs!

BURST being the first coin to implement this, is HUGE, and will be a VERY big thing for a lot of people. Bring this to the NXT community to show them what we are capable of, bring it to all the other coins that were going to implement ATs later, and let them know we beat them to it, and maybe we can draw publicity that way.

Do what you please, but let's use these to get the word out! This is HUGE NEWS, it should be heard by the world! BURST, the next big thing in crypto, the ONLY currency EVER to have ATs, the undisputed king of awesome coins and features, we're on top of things! Think about it, we're a fully new algo, a fully new Automated Transaction functioning coin, the ONLY coin of it's kind to actually do what we say EVERY TIME, WITHOUT DELAY. We have THE BEST DEV of any crypto, and this is all becoming apparent even more so, to people who don't even know anything about BURST, you can see the dedication and awesomeness of the community by simply looking around, it's all right there in front of us.

Lets do this, let us make BURST, THE COIN, of 2015. The year of BURST. the year of the BURST community millionaires, the year of hard drive mining, the year of non-astronomical power bills for larger miners. This is all because of BURST, the one, the only!

Thank you, here is the link!

did anyone get paid this sunday?

Nope, cause all payments are delayed for a week. For every payment BEFORE the 26th you can fill in the
Support form on their website.

Oh, so they're not counting the 26th as missing yet then huh? Cool. Well, better safe than sorry I suppose.

Well, better safe than sorry not fill the support system with irrelevant tickets  I suppose.

FTFY  Roll Eyes

or what? You gonna get upset with me? lol. I did it 3 times, with 3 separate accounts. I would rather have it double assured, than not get it. I have quite a bit into this company, they can deal with a few irrelevant tickets.

good restyling in OP.

yeah. OP looks great !

Thanks are due to Wulfcastle! Among the other members of the core PR team. Aside from me, who did basically absolutely nothing. lol.

Lol, without your Windows guide, many people like me could not mining here ! Your guide its visited every time Smiley

Nice, I'm glad to be of assistance. What I meant though, is that I had nothing to do with the new OP. I have done some other work though, and will continue to do so, right now I'm most focused on getting my new pool code up asap... I seem to be hitting the limits of the current Uray code for my pool.

I checked this thread out but honestly there is noting here that interests me.

Just a bunch of yard sale type stuff IMO.

There are some decent things here, but prices are way too high. Which is why he's not really selling anything.

It's sad to see this coin in the current state, hopefully things will pick up for you guys.  Kiss  I think I'll help you out and buy some as soon as LTCgear pays me. -_-

Bad Gateway. Neat.

I was getting in about an hour earlier and now this 502 Bad Gateway Error. Not sure what that means but doesn't look food. I am hoping for the best.  Sad

He's working on upgrading the site, no need to worry there Smiley

Ah, good to know, thank you for the update!

Yea, I never like to see that, especially at a place where I have 5000 dollars or more invested.

I think it's time that Timk came and spoke to us. Wonder what he'll say about this crapcoin next.....
Yes mate,I didn't see him for long time.May be we should PM him and ask him to write something on this thread just for fun?
Maybe even he became a believer in Burst and can't admit he was wrong?  My hope is he sold his coins for 100 satoshis which is what they were going for last we heard from him.

He was always a believer in Burst, it was some kind of weird backwards trolling going on Wink

Agreed, he jumped almost day one, had some issues setting things up, then FUD'd things to get the prices down so that he could buy instead. Not a bad plan, too bad burst is immune to FUD. A truly amazing coin needs no FUD protection, it's automatic.

I better get the payment from last week and this week

I like statements like this. Or what?

Good question. lol. But I would like to have my payouts too, then again, this whole thing could up and disappear in a moment's notice, then who would we complain to about payouts? lol.

Burst 1.2.0

Update required for all users by block 49200 (12/26 or 12/27)

If using an existing copy of the blockchain this will do a re-scan on first run.

This update adds the Automated Transaction (AT) system. This will allow users to write turing complete scripts which can be saved to the blockchain. Scripts will get their own account id and are able to send and receive coins, and will execute trustlessly.

This release should be compliant with the ciyam AT specs found here: http://ciyam.org/at/
Additional platform-specific api calls will be added later on.

Current fees for ATs are:
On creation 1 burst per memory page(256 bytes).
When ATs execute, normal opcodes cost 0.1, and api calls cost 1.
There is a maximum of 200 fee per AT execution.

ATs would not have have happened without the work of vbcs ( BURST-NUFU-7PX7-KHVM-7EMNC ) and CIYAM. Thanks
