How can I get Bitcoin Gold?
The Bitcoin Gold (BTG) initial coin distribution method is exactly the same as that used by Bitcoin Cash (BCH). All Bitcoin holders who possess BTC private keys on October 25 (block 491 407) will receive Bitcoin Gold on the rate of 1 BTC = 1 BTG (If you have 20 BTC you will receive 20 BTG). You need to control BTC private keys in order to make Bitcoin Gold transactions. I'm confused  as of now forum date is October 24, 2017, 07:46:41 AM then I checked blockchain.info and block 491459 already mined so is it officially forked now or they mistyped the block number you must be new to hard fork, basically there is already 16M in circulation, because it was hard forked from bitcoin, and these coins will be given to who claim them with their private key for the 1:1 exchange |

so i am aware of the hard fork that generated BTC cash and the hard fork that will generate BTC gold, but what confuses me is the prices and market caps that these coins gains so fast !!
i was here when BTC cash is forked, in the first hours it reached 10B market cap !!
does that mean that the whole cryptocurrency market increased 10B ??
is it like 10B $ just transferred to the crypto world from fiat ??
marketcap is just calculated based on the highest demand then they do x the number of supply, is not a good value to see the real capitalization of a coin, because not all the coins in circulation are being traded on exchange, just a small portion |

Anyone can provide POW difficulty . I see in block explorer around 2.x . That sound good to be true.

I have my BTC in paper wallet at the time of fork will i get BTC gold?
it doesn't matter where you have your bitcoin, as long as you hold the privatekey you will have the right to claim your forked coins, that same privatekey can be used for all the future fork of bitcoin that do the 1:1 swap |

i did a backup of my wallet plus the blockchain, but now when i retrieve this whole back it ask me for a password why? i never had this issue with any other coin, someone know a fix for this? and i didn't set any password

i think this exchange is killing the value of this new coin, it's an unknown exchange and investors are afraid to invest there, there is no volume, real value should be higher imho not 13 satoshi, if it was on another exchange would be 50 |
