2321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and CO2 emissions (Should we care?) on: June 21, 2021, 06:16:15 AM
The only reason why Elon Musk wants to bring the CO2 emission and clean energy into the issue, is because he wants to sell more "clean energy" solutions. See this ==> https://www.tesla.com/solarroof
This is a good point, at least some miners could be provided from musk's energy.

Should we care about CO2 emission? Yes, it is our responsibility to look after the world we live in. Do Banks care about their energy footprint...? No, they care about their profits.  Roll Eyes
As I mentioned before, we can be worried but it's out of our hands, if the government wants to provide us with nasty energy, there is not much we can do with our daily consumption.
2322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you recommend staking? on: June 20, 2021, 08:42:06 PM
Yes, I recommend a staking system. cause when market too much dump we can get good something by staking system. we can recover our loss by staking.

Some staking coins have a hard crash, close to 90%, and that's hard to recover by staking because most of the coins give between 5% and 10% each year, so, staking is not a recovery warranty.

Is better to hold coins that will rise in the future than staking coins with a risky future.

2324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth vs bnb on: June 20, 2021, 04:46:53 PM
Each coin has different advantages.
ETH is a long-established platform currency and is trusted by many investors, while BNB is backed by the world's largest exchange.
I think in 2021 these two coins are still competing with each other and no one has outperformed yet.

I agree, both blockchains are backed up by huge projects and a big capital, And both are good for the tokens propose. That's why it's hard to say one of them is better than the other one.

I prefer ETH because they was the first ones with the idea, I feel like BNB is just a copy and not an original idea, but isn't a bad copy at all, they come with the lowest fees and that was a nice move.
2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about Monero from a Bitcoin maxi on: June 19, 2021, 02:33:31 PM
I've been in crypto for the last 4 years and I've been a maxi for the last 3. However, I've always had respect for the Monero project. Can somebody make the case why Monero does not live up to it's promises / is a scam / will fail?

More specifically I'm interested in the hearing arguments about the following issues:

a) Is Monero as suited for it's stated goal of private transactions as it claims
b) Is it better suited to this goal than using properly coinjoined btc over Tor
c) Is Monero actually decentralized to a decent degree
d) Why Monero will fail in the long run

Monero is an anonymous coin, and that's a problem for the exchanges because their business is to track the money and the users, but monero makes the job terribly hard for them. That's why some exchanges delisted it.

The code behind monero makes it impossible to track the transaction or the money, if you go to a monero block explorer you will only see transactions with fake information, things like: Send ? To ?, the address you see in the block explorer are not the real ones, that makes it hard to track it. And if you really want to understand how it works then you should read this book: https://masteringmonero.com/

Monero will not fail in the long run, you can be sure of that.

seoincorporation, it's very easy selling tokens on Trust wallet by connecting your wallet to poocoin.app. Connect by typing poocoin.app on the Dapp browser, choose auto slippage and trade. It's very easy to trigger. You can do that by going to trade. Alternatively, remove the last zero in the quantity you're buying if you're having issues swapping and then replace it immediately and then swap. It will go through. However, you've to make sure you're on the right contract address because a lot of tokens with similar name do pop out on poocoin.app when you search. I advise you copy and paste the token contract rather than use its name to search it.

It was really easy to sell them with poocoin, I have no idea why it doesn't work for me with pancakeswap, so, thanks for the tip buddy.

2327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and CO2 emissions (Should we care?) on: June 18, 2021, 03:31:25 AM
CO2 emissions is the new speech against bitcoin, and is becoming a huge trend since Mr. Musk says he will accept bitcoin payments on tesla when 50% of the miners become green. And it's really fun how bitcoin is becoming the bad guy because of the enormous contamination. and I want to ask you, is it a bitcoin fault?

The city with the biggest energy consumption is Las Vegas, and did you know where that energy comes from? it comes from carbon burning, but bitcoin is the bad guy.

We don't feed the miners with carbon or fuel, we feed them with electricity and we give zero fuck about the source of that energy because it's a service that our governments provide. If it's green energy or not that's out of our hands. So, people need to stop blaming bitcoin for the CO2 emissions, the governments will always choose the cheapest way to produce energy, so, those emissions aren't from bitcoin they are from the providers. If people want to blame someone they should find the right focus.

Elon Musk should be worried about the contamination generated by batteries and not about CO2 emissions, but that's a topic that he never talks about. So, this is just a nonsense drama.
2328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bought £700 worth of a cryptocurrency I don't know much about, is this moonshot? on: June 18, 2021, 03:04:29 AM
Hi everyone.

Recently I aped (full degen) $CAVA (UNISWAP) after seeing some advertisements. Anyone else involved in this project or know the direction?

https://www.cava.finance/

Thanks in advance if you know much about ETH blockchain or this current project!

What makes you take the desition of buying a token like that, I could say you take a terrible decision by buying it.

First of all, the token isn't even listed in coinmarket cap, so, that's a signal of a hit and run token. The second bad signal is the trust pilot, it doesn't even have comments on the site, which means it's a recent project.

If you want to read the Whois information about the site you will find there is no info about the owner, and that's another terrible signal.

The site says it has a $21 Million ‍MARKET CAP, but that's a lie. So, I would recommend selling that token and buy something with a better backup before you lose your money.

Hello Hhampuz, i will leave this campaign because i wasn't able to sell this token, even using a Slippage Tolerance of 15% I didn't get the transaction confirmation in my wallet...

Maybe it was my mistake or I'm doing something wrong, idk but thanks for all Hhampuz.

-------Update----

@seoincorporation. I tested to sell it already in Pancakeswap with 11% slippage to USDT, BNB and back again to SMC. Everything was okay. You can check my address in bscscan.com as proof.

The campaign and the token are legit, I was the only user having a problem with the swap, tokens aren't my thing but I have to try it. I learned a lot from this experience, so, thanks for all.  Wink
2332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Colored Coin implementation is best for a CO2 certificate token? on: June 14, 2021, 10:46:40 PM

we would like to create a CO2 certificate token on the Bitcoin blockchain.

You can't make tokens in the bitcoin blockchain. To make tokens you need the smart contract feature, that's why only coins like ETH can make tokens. If you want to fork the bitcoin code to make a new coin that's possible, but for that, you will have to run nodes and have miners. And miners are against the green idea.

I would recommend you learn more about tokens before creating one.
2333  Local / Primeros pasos y ayuda / Re: Como crear un exchange on: June 14, 2021, 07:27:16 PM

2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best place for staking or yield farming on: June 14, 2021, 07:16:39 PM
You should give a try to Clam coin, you can stake that coin on Just-dice or you can do staking with your own node. The staking reward from that coin is close to 0.05% per day. so far is the coin that pays more with this feature, but the only issue is the low market volume, it's market isn't really active at all, and is hard to see a bump in the price.

If you want to try it you can get some clams on the freebitcoins exchange.
2335  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk forum mobile app on: June 14, 2021, 04:28:37 PM
This site is already responsive, so there is no need to make an APP. People can access it from their phones with any explorer. And a lot of users want to stay anonymous that's why the forum allows anyone to join from a proxy or from TOR. But if we join from our phones then the anonymity will be gone. That's why isn't a good idea to use the phone for the forum.

And the biggest risk about an App is for the ones who lose their phone and get their accounts compromised that way.
2336  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Tesla aceptara pagos en Bitcoin (Si solo si) on: June 14, 2021, 03:00:10 PM

2337  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what's causing the current rise? on: June 14, 2021, 02:56:32 PM
Looks like someone invests a huge amount of money, the market cap goes up from $1.55T to $1.74T, so that means someone or a group invest $0.2T in the market, and with a huge amount like that for sure we see how the price has a nice bump.

Some people say the bump was because tesla says in a tweet that they will accept bitcoin if the miners goes 50% green, but I'm not sure.
2338  Local / Español (Spanish) / Tesla aceptara pagos en Bitcoin (Si solo si) on: June 13, 2021, 06:55:40 PM

2340  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com |Roo in Space Art Contest ~ $5000 up for grabs! |10 Winners - 1 Month on: June 13, 2021, 03:09:23 PM
Just a heads up for everyone who is waiting for their prize in their Roobet account. It has finally arrived after just a few days of waiting. If you have problems in withdrawing your winning prizes, make sure that you have completed the Level 1 KYC and deposited at least $5 for the account verification.

I got my prize too and there wasn't any requirement to withdraw. So, a big +1 for Roobet.

It was a great event and let's start thinking about ideas for the next event, it already started and it will be great to see some art about Super Roo to the rescue. If someone wants more information about the event I will leave the link to the thread.

Thanks again and great luck for all!
