So KL got another chance (Was expecting something else but okay) and debutant Surya kumar yadav had to sit out because Rohit is back. He must be feeling bad but i'm sure he will get lot more chances in the future.

EDIT
Luls Bowled!! KL Rahul - Long walk of shame-
Surya Kumar Yadav will be giving his chance in the next match as KL Rahul is struggling and now collected a pair, one run in 3 innings when there are young talents waiting to get an opportunity. The team chasing has all the advantage and i am expecting England to win the game unless India is able to post above 180 runs.

Edit:

Rohit Sharma is back in the pavilion.

Ishan Kishan is gone.
2322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: March 14, 2021, 08:29:05 PM
I get to be thinking what about all the government of the world unite and decide to stop bitcoin and cryptocurrency ?  Grin

I have wondered if this is possible to happen despite bitcoin being decentralized. Within me, I don't think that is no more possible because bitcoin is now unstoppable. Just like water is to the fish, bitcoin is the light of the earth.
If you have heard about Liberty Reserve it was a centralized digital currency and 17 countries came together and shut their operations and during that period of time even i though it was impossible to have a coordinated effort from multiple countries to stop them but i was wrong. In the case of BTCitcoin we know that the government can identify major mining farms and if they can force them to shut then they can disrupt the network and if these major mining farms are shut i have no idea how decentralized we are.

Since you asked whether it is possible, anything is possible if majority of the government thinks that the market is a threat to their monopoly of centralized currency.
2323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 14, 2021, 04:22:25 PM
Oh well, guess KL Rahul is next in line and will warm the bench for the next game along with Dhawan.

Edit after watching Ishan inning (33 runs for 17balls). I have a feeling that he going to win T-20 WC opener race. He's young, good on field and most importantly he's Left hand attacking batsman. Dhawan must be hating him right now.
KL Rahul might sit back and for the world cup Rohit Sharma will be the opener and with the performance by Ishan Kishan he could be his partner if he could play a consistent innings and they need a back up opener if someone is struggling during the tournament. Since there is abundant of talent there can be a backup player for every position  Cheesy.

A couple of wickets and i still think England could pull a win in the match even though they failed to score above 180 which i was expecting and i am not familiar with the rest of the batting lineup even though have seen some of them play in the IPL.
Till now England failed to pick a wicket after the first one. For England to win from this situation they need to pick wickets and India has a long batting lineup even though some are new players.

The main problem is different jurisdiction have different rules regarding the ground opponent, unless everyone follows an unified rule we will see these type of mishaps.
It is possible and there is an unified rule in MMA but it is not implemented everywhere and all the fight commissions should follow one rule but the recent fight ending were clearly a disqualification even with the new rules. Earlier you are a grounded opponent when you have one finger in the mat but in the new rules one knee should be firmly in the mat to be a grounded opponent. May be there is a confusion in the rule to misjudge that.

Same is with elbow to the grounded opponent - illegal to throw elbow from 12 o'clock direction. How can a judge tell if it perpendicular the floor or 1 or 11 o'clock elbow. Specially if fighters has massive forearms.
I have not seen an illegal 12 to 6 elbow apart from the Jon Jones disqualification and usually the referee calls the fight if he sees it is an illegal elbow and now they have instant replay to make the decision about that and it is rare to get disqualified that way.

Although for guys like Prithvi Shaw, they need to focus on fitness as well. Its disastrous for young guys to become golu molu.
Virat Kohli is the captain and he is working hard for his fitness and he will push the players to look after the fitness and in this day and age you cannot be successful if you are not spending time in the gym and having a proper diet.

About that.. He did gave a few stunning performance against Windies in home season and 1 against Kiwis in the NZ tho. Sadly for him, he lost his form after that.

I prefer this system very much. Once players form goes down, they should get back into the domestic and work hard to gain confidence and get their form back.
I view that as unfortunate, the balls in which Prithvi Shaw was dismissed in the series were exceptional in swinging deliveries in the start of the innings and instead of playing in the front foot he needs to stay deep in the crease and understand the bounce before playing his shots. He was trying to play shots in all of the deliveries and he was dismissed and he needs a solid defense and then apply that in the match and stay in the crease for the first 15 minutes and he will score runs. Just a slight technical change in his stance and he will perform well in bouncy pitches.

I never had a really good opinion about the Indian domestic system. There are very few tearaway pace bowlers in the domestic system, and the grounds are not very conductive for seam and swing movement. So you can't say that this is something that only affects Prithvi Shaw. Most of the other Indian batsmen have never played 150 kmph inswinging deliveries.
Things have changed and now people are training smartly, using slings in a small pitch so that he could face the pace and bowling machines are available for these players and they can practice is tight mats to get the pace and for match practice they need to play in those pitches to get the confidence.

2326  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Art record! 69M for a Beeple on: March 14, 2021, 07:51:34 AM
A digital piece by Beeple is selling for 69M USD according to The Japan Times, The Verge and other, at Christie's.

This follows a trend of increased prices for NFTs that are becoming an alternative asset of choice for the wealthy willing to invest in art with all the advantages of blockchain technology (easy to transfer, authenticity without doubt, proof of ownership,..)
I always had a problem to understand the mindset of these huge investors when you see piece of art and antiques being sold at auctions for millions of dollars and that too purchased by anonymous buyers, in the past i considered them as a recreational pass time for the ultra rich to satisfy their ego or either have a detail for looking after these epic pieces to preserve or people who made money through illegal means can spend this kind of money  Cheesy.

I have read about the Chinese government purchasing their antique arts kept for auctions for insane amounts and the once that are not sold were stolen from different museums around the world but i cannot understand why there is a huge demand for digital art .
2327  Economy / Speculation / Re: First Batch of $1,400 Stimulus Checks Hit Bank Accounts Starting Today on: March 14, 2021, 05:28:13 AM
Could this be another reason why we see bitcoin hit another all time high? those times when the news about stimulus came, there was an increase that happened for bitcoin.
I am confused when we see reports like this which really does not make sense at all because the stimulus checks are meant to help during these hard times and the strange aspect is that the BTCitcoin market always rallies when ever the stimulus check news comes out and i have no idea whether it has any relation and i still believe it is just a mere coincidence.

Some impressive numbers in Vijay Hazare trophy. Looks like management did good by dropping Shaw from the national team, he was going through really bad form, now he's in good touch and soon he will be knocking the selectors door. Devdutt Padikkal is asking some tough questions too, just look at the averages!
I am personally happy to see Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal perform well, i have seen Prithvi Shaw play and he will be in the Indian team once again with his performance and Devdutt Padikkal even though he is from my state he is playing for another state and i have not seen him play live but i am happy for them as they dominated the Vijay Hazare tournmanet.

^^^ Prithvi Shaw already got his chance with the Indian team and he wasted it.
You cannot say that because he had difficultly for the inswing deliveries in Australia and he never played swinging fast deliveries in his life in Indian pitches and he is really young and he will develop as a complete cricketer, just give him the time and he will be back in the team.
2329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 13, 2021, 07:31:29 PM
Gaining and developing talent is a huge part of professional sports name a single major sports organization on the UFC show that puts women at the top in terms of marketing and promotion.
UFC is a MMA promoting private company and their high profile woman fighter was Ronda Rousey and she headlined fights and she was the reason UFC opened their doors for female fighters and before that Gina Carano was a female superstar in Strike force and Cris Cyborg was a dominating fighter but she did not get the deserved promotion.

Aljamain Sterling continues with his post fight acting performance and now he is doing it with Matt Serra.
If he continues like this I expect him to have very short UFC carrier.
The problem with Aljamain Sterling and Matt Serra started before his title bout as he avoided Matt Serra from his corner and Serra was vocal about his disapointment.
2330  Economy / Economics / Re: Did tesla's $1.5 billion bitcoin purchase negatively affect their stock price on: March 13, 2021, 05:29:36 PM
Tesla's investment was unexpected. No one thought that they would take such a drastic step. Obviously some of the analysts (and banks such as JP Morgan) were very unhappy, as Telsa had gone against their advice. All sort of scare stories were spread in the immediate aftermath. And the crash in Tesla share price was like a shot in the arm for these skeptics. But I guess now most of them have crawled back to their caves.
No one anticipated a billion dollar investment from Tesla but why would JP Morgan be unhappy when they are catering business from cryptocurrency exchanges like Coinbase and they are planning to do business with the cryptocurrency market with their recent launch of crypto exposure basket.

The fluctuation in the price of Tesla stock is not new and if you look in the past two years the market rallied in both directions when Elon Musk says something and we will see the same in the future.
2331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk again on: March 13, 2021, 12:08:08 PM
What does anyone think about the latest tweet from Elon Musk in what looked like taking a swipe at Bitcoin?
I seriously do not care about his tweets, in the beginning it was fun and then his tweets started to make changes in the market and initially i thought he was doing all these controversial things to divert his attention from the Amber Heard relation he had and wanted to have fun but his tweets helped the markets to go up and there were times when the market crashed and Elon loosing billions and once a market changes over a billion dollars over a tweet it is not fun anymore and i care less about his tweets but curiously waiting for his Neuralink development.

If Afghanistan 545 runs by losing only 4 wickets, I think the Zimbabwean team has the capacity to score at least 400 runs. There is no possibility of this match being a draw. At the moment the match is completely occupied by Afghanistan. Unless a miracle happens, Afghanistan will win the match today.
It depends on how the Zimbabwe players play Rashid Khan and the match is played in the UAE which helps the spinners in the final two days and it is going to be a huge task as Zimbabwe still trail by 234 runs and it is going to be a huge task to take a lead and with plenty of time left in the match it is a game for Afghanistan to win and level the series.

Sare bhuddhe pagal ho gaye hai Grin Grin. Not watching but keeping tab on score.
Yes but i was glad to see Virender Sehwag scoring freely in the first match and the way Kevin Pietersen bats, i recently saw a Sky Sports batting masterclass and he was hitting the ball cleanly and so does Andrew Flintoff and now there is no pressure to perform and i do think they can perform well in franchise cricket even at this age.

~
During the 90s, world cricket was much more competitive. Nowadays, matches are more lop sided with Big 3 + New Zealand dominating over the other teams. However, back then also Bangladesh was a very weak team. Compared to them, Kenya was much better (Steve Tikolo, Maurice Odumbe, Thomas Odoyo.etc). And South Africa was one of the top sides. Even Zimbabwe had a number of great players, such as Andy Flower, Heath Streak, Neil Johnson.etc.
The early 90s ODI was a slow paced match and the openers were meant to defend the ball until Sri Lanka changed how the first 15 overs should be played and it was a revolutionary change and any team scoring 250 above was a good total to defend. Kenya and Zimbabwe were strong in their home ground and i remember matches that they defeated India easily and Sri Lanka was a difficult team to beat.

The difference is that every team had world class bowlers that dominated and tested any batsman and it was a challenge scoring freely and the boundaries were bigger but now the boundaries are shorter and all the rules favor the batsman.
2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on: March 12, 2021, 06:06:16 AM
So I bought some Ethereum for £1070 a few days ago and it is now worth £1326. Would now be a good time to sell for a small profit?

I am investing more long term in Bitcoin but wanted to trade a bit on smaller coins i.e Ethereum etc.
If you think that you want to book your profit you have to take the decision because a third party cannot guarantee you a solid return and the delay in implemented the upgrade and the higher transaction fees are not a good sign for the ETH market and there are other platforms trying to take advantage of the situation and luring developers to their chain.
2335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paypal make bitcoin mainstream? The website makes me think so... on: March 11, 2021, 09:02:43 PM
PayPal bridged the gap between unknowing people on how to invest in crypto and the crypto world. Though what PayPal offers may not be something that can be considered the real deal yet, at least it gave the people some experiencing and feeling of being a part of the free market.
It is true that PayPal will expose the cryptocurrency market to an entirely new demographic of users and even though they are not allowing the users to withdraw the coins the company has assured that the users will be able to withdraw and send the coins later this year and it may be because they are testing their system so that they do not need any mishaps to strengthen their security and the market is notorious for exchange hacks .

PayPal could take crypto in general to new heights if they offered the right services and mixed it with some magics of their own. We're slowly getting there, and it's only a matter of time before PP itself becomes a cryptocurrency player aside from their payment processing role right now.
They might start an cryptocurrency exchange because every major player in the industry is aware of the huge profit the new kids in the block are making by running cryptocurrency exchanges.
2336  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money,' says Nigeria's central bank governor on: March 11, 2021, 07:37:18 PM
This is really unexpected from them because its like they are telling an obvious lie. They are trying to ban it because some users within their country is profiting from something they know.
Why do you think it was unexpected, anyone country who is try to come out with some form of restrictions or regulations will not accept BTCitcoin as legal tender in their country and it is not a big surprise and if they do that they there will be a huge inflow of money flowing into a decentralized market and they will not have any control over it. So do not expect any government to call BTCitcoin as a legal tender or money and it has nothing to do with the profits you can make, it is an entirely different thing altogether.
2337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 11, 2021, 02:40:43 PM
Anyone following the Legends series, i find it hard to predict and the only match that i find easy to place a bet is the matches against Bangladesh. India played well in the first match without loosing any wickets and in the second match against England they failed to chance the score and today England is  struggling against South Africa and they are shuffling the team members and it is the puzzle Cheesy.
2338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 10, 2021, 07:38:30 PM
Two decades ago, they were among the top teams in international cricket. I still remember that they were the favorites during the 1999 ODI World Cup. Back then they had some of the best all rounders, such as Shaun Pollock, Jacques Kallis, Lance Klusener and Hansie Cronje. And then they had the best fielder in Jonty Rhodes. And perhaps the best fast bowler as well, in Allan Donald. They were unable to find replacements to these players, and that is the reason why they went down in the 21st century.
From 1992 when they were allowed to return to cricket they had the best team which was able to compete against the dominating Australia and during the 1999 world cup like every other world cup before that they were the favorites to win the world cup and like every other cup they were unfortunate to loose out and the fielding standards they set in world cricket was exemplary and do not forget Herschelle Gibbs in the squad and he was the best fielder in the team along with Rhodes and the catch Gibbs dropped while throwing the ball in air to celebrate gave Australia the chance to win the match and later the world cup.

It is hard to find a replacement for those legendary players but ABD carried the fielding legacy but they are yet to find a legit all rounder like they used to have and i remember when Pat Symcox used to come out as the second last batsman even he could change the match with his batting and even has a Test century and the only player who does not bat in the team was Allan Donald and the rest of the players were all rounders  Cheesy.

2339  Economy / Economics / Re: Bangladesh militants use Bitcoins for laundering money to Kashmir on: March 10, 2021, 07:25:18 AM
The banned Bangladeshi militant organisation Ansar Al Islam (AI) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) has sent a huge amount of money to Kashmir. The India TV refers to the case of this trafficking through Bitcoin by converting to cryptocurrency. The media reported that an Indian police officer who was reluctant to reveal the name on Tuesday (March 9).
If someone says that they have evidence that illegal activities are carried out with BTCitcoin then they need to provide the evidence in the form of transaction ID and wallet address so that everyone can verify. I have seen similar incidents thrown around implicating BTCitcoin being used for illegal activities but i have not seen one transaction ID or a wallet to substantiate these findings rather simply throwing the name BTCitcoin.

With no evidence it is hard to believe that any transaction have taken place if they are taking the name BTCitcoin. The authorities wants to take the name of BTCitcoin in vain they should have the transaction ID and wallet details to substantiate the claim, if not we have to assume it is a bogus claim to simply put all the blame on BTCitcoin and hide their inefficiencies.
2340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 09, 2021, 06:49:50 PM
And no doubt if the UFC wants to bring in Khabib they can flash a ton of money in front of him and give him a offer he can not refuse.
Even if he said he will never fight again due to his father dying and all, but we all know, a year down the road if he is poor asf and living in a run down apartment after spending all of his past earnings on those fights, he will take the deal and do it.
Many actors in hollywood have been in this situation numerous times and they all take on the agreement to do that "One more time!" type contract so to be able to pay their bills and live comfortably.
We have seen many in the sporting field and in the movie industry who made millions and then end up loosing everything, there is a major difference in life style by Khabib Nurmagomedov, he is still driving his old Toyota even after making millions in the fight game and he is not flashy like the others who saw millions for the first time and he does not drink or party like Mike Tyson. He is doing many charity works and that needs money but he is a smart investor as well.

Another aspect is that Khabib Nurmagomedov has many business ventures in his home country which includes Eagle Mobile (mobile operator), Eagle Fighting Championship (MMA promotion) and collaborating with Dana White which means any potential fighter will start with the promotion and then get the chance to fight in the UFC and another one is Khabib Gym (planning to operate in multiple countries a slight delay due to pandemic).

So expect Khabib Nurmagomedov to be back if he sees a valid competition and he will not return for the money.
