2321  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [DISCUSSION] Learn about Patent and Intellectual Property. /BITCOIN/ on: September 14, 2019, 01:38:24 PM
Patent Pending - are legal designations or expressions that can be used in relation to a product or process once a patent application for the product or process has been filed, but prior to the patent being issued or the application abandoned (source). Nakikita sa website or whitepaper nila.

Obviously, ang patent pending ay syempre pagtapos mong mag-apply, waiting for approval.

I didn't add those terms on the thread since hindi naman masyado ginagamit ang double patenting at limited lang sa ibang bansa. Since science and technology is rising, syempre dapat open tayo sa pag innovate ng mga existing devices, so if meron mang nag dodouble patent, maeextend lang ang term niya for being owner of that invention at syempre walang sinuman makakagalaw ng invention because of that.

The innovative people will wait for the expiration of patent para lang magamit or magalaw yung invention and after ma-innovate and develop, doon lang din kasi pwede i-apply for another patent kasi may binago ka.
2322  Local / Pilipinas / [DISCUSSION] Patent Claim of Craig Wright (Bitcoin) Patent & IP on: September 13, 2019, 03:54:37 PM
This is a topic na sobrang importante especially sa mga taong gumagawa ng study regarding sa mga bagay bagay dito sa ating mundo. Most of the time ang topic na ito ay sobrang useful sa mga science related projects or devices. The reason why I created this topic because ang dami ng threads especially sa Bitcoin Discussion na tungkol kay Satoshi Nakamoto and some of it ay sobrang useless at nonsense na pagusapan. I guarantee you na alam ko 'tong topic na ito because one of my course subjects that's related to project study taught us this topic so na-irelate ko siya sa issue about sa bitcoin ngayon.

Lately, ang mga mga topic na sobrang overrated sa Bitcoin Discussion ay yung about kay Craig Wright na gustong mag-apply for patent as inventor of bitcoin. There are various articles you can read about it:
and until know, hindi pa rin napapatunayan or nabibigay ang ownership kay Craig Wright kasi kulang ng evidences and possible na isa siyang fraud. So let's start the real topic about Patent and Intellectual Property.

Ito rin ang reason kaya naiinis ako sa mga nag-shashare ng mga false information about kay Satoshi Nakamoto and I'm tired of seeing it, it might sound unprofessional pero ang daming existing threads about SN without knowing about patent at IP.

Intellectual Property in the Philippines.

  • Article XIV, Section 13 of the 1987 Constitution

"The state shall protect and secure the exclusive rights of scientist, inventors, artists, and other gifted citizens to their intellectual property and creations, particularly when beneficial to the people, for such period as may be provided by law" [1]

  • Republic Act 8293

An Act Prescribing the Intellectual Property Code and Establishing the Intellectual Property Office, Providing for its Powers and Functions.
-Signed into law on June 6, 1997. [2]

The different kinds of Intellectual Property.
  • Patent
  • Trademark
  • Utility Model
  • Industrial Design
  • Geographic Indications
  • Layout of IC
  • Trade Secret
  • Copyright

One of the easiest way, kaya yung iba sobrang ignorante at napapaniwala agad na sila ang tunay na Satoshi Nakamoto, hindi nga nila mapakita yung simpleng model or layout.

3. Through bitcointalk.org, hindi natin sure kung legit yung account niya dito pero it has more chances dahil ang bitcointalk.org ang kaunaunahang forum site na related sa cryptocurrency at nakakapaglabas ng updates about BTC.

So here's the recent issue about a patent for bitcoin also known as PATENT WARS.
Quote
The race to file blockchain patents has accelerated lately with one specific firm, Nchain Holdings, attempting to capture hundreds of distributed ledger-related patents. According to reports, self-proclaimed Satoshi – Craig Wright – and his Nchain business claim to have filed 666 patent applications to date, capturing a gigantic portfolio of intellectual property.

So this guy, Craig Wright, as I've mentioned earlier na isang scientist from Nchain ay nag-attempt na ng ilang beses para makuha ang pagmamayari ng bitcoin at sinasabing ginawa niya daw ang bitcoin dati pa.

Ang kanyang patent application ay number 666. [3]

Saan pwede mag Patent?

So katulad nito, makikita niyo sa designated states. For example ang china, which is very professional for copying, they're just looking for inventions across the world tapos sila ang magpapatent sa sariling bansa nila kaya maraming negosyo sa China dahil ganon sila kagaling mangopya.

If curious naman kayo about sa business ng China, read it here:

We have our own IPO (Intellectual Property Office) dito sa Pilipinas.
If you have something na kailangang mong i-apply for original inventor/ownership, ito ang need mong lapitan:

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE OF THE PHILIPPINES (IPOPHIL)

For me it's enough. Through this learnings, masasabi ko agad based sa evidences kung possible ba na sila si Satoshi Nakamoto.

Just checked the link and seen this post has got ~35 merits. I think your thread got enough merits.
This thread title is Report unmerited good posts, I guess this thread doesn't fit the criteria since it got enough merit. You can post unmerited post here.
Sorry if it anyhow hurts you but you must be trying to be fair reporting unmerited posts or posts with minimum merits.

Basically, if you checked the title of the link, it's not the right thread. Sorry for the mistake.
I'm hoping to be more observant next time because sometimes we do mistakes and should be corrected and obviously we know what's the meaning of unmerited good posts, btw thanks for noticing.  Cheesy

2324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion) on: September 08, 2019, 11:58:46 PM
Soccer and boxing to me and it's the two leading option in the poll, it's easy to predict, soccer is so popular in so many countries, in fact, there are a lot of websites and gambling sites dedicated to soccer betting, and of course boxing is the next popular because big boxing usually held in Las Vegas the mecca of gambling, and we all know big and small boxing events attract a lot of gamblers
Nothing to argue with soccer as number one but in boxing, I think it's not the second.

If we're talking about offline gambling then boxing will be the second one, it's also rare when the event happened in Las Vegas because not all of the boxing events are in there.

I think basketball was the second one, it has a lot of fans means there's a lot of gambling supporters too.  Cheesy
2325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 08, 2019, 11:53:19 PM
Why is China trying to control the Philippines in general? Not to mention, the lands that they have taken so far in the Philippines lol. Now this online gambling thing. But you can't erase the mentality of Filipinos to be fond in gambling. And, Chinese? Some of these sites were owned by them? Is there president ready to dump them?

They thought they have the power to dictate the decisions of the government. They are testing if the Phl govt will be persuaded by their call. But unfortunately, the Phl Pres said not at this time. I hope the Phil has the balls to throw these Chinese from the islands that are clearly not part of their country. If you will check the map that they want to fully control, it is out of their jurisdiction. Why in the world that they think it is owned by their forefathers, the reason why they insist to construct infrastructures on those islands?
I believe the Chinese govt thought that the Phl govt will always follow their whims.

If you're thinking about the China's side of this action, it's because of illegal gambling. Chinese are here in the Philippines because they're doing illegal gambling, in China, gambling is banned so they're going on different countries to make a gambling business.

Quote
Image result for gambling is banned in china
The Chinese government does not legally consider the lotteries a form of gambling. Illegal gambling in China remains common, including unofficial lotteries, clandestine casinos, and betting in games such as mahjong and various card games.

I also hate China for dictating what to do but I think this is for the better. If you go to the south part of Luzon, like in Cavite, Las Pinas, Paranaque and others, you can see a lot of chinese business there and that's gambling. Those people are retarded and disrespecting the law of China so they went to Philippines, that's why they're disrespecting the filipinos too.

2326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 08, 2019, 11:49:01 PM
I have a friend who wins 15,000 pesos or $300 the first time keno games in an offline betting outlet, he is so happy and very ecstatic about his winnings, I congratulate him and ask him how long before he hit the jackpot, he told me that it took him 7 months and he is betting daily at 100  pesos or $3 so his losses are bigger than winnings.

But surprisingly he did not calculate his losses all he cares about is he finally wins, how about you do you remember your losses when you win a big amount and do you calculate your losses and ask if the winning is worth it?
One reason maybe is he has a stable job and the money that he uses can be brought back with his job so he can forget about his losses. Another reason that I know is he is just enjoying playing keno keno (this is what I call to keno) and he tends to forget his losses as long as he win. He is just gambling for fun that is why he forgot his losses.

Yes, I think it's nothing if you really have a stable or good job. On his mind, the big deal for him is the achievement of winning on a lottery that has a small probability of winning. He's the type of person who gambles just to be entertained or wanted to have a thrill in life.

We shouldn't be serious on gambling, that's why it's called gambling because you're risking something. So at first, we are aware that there's a risk and forget all of that money we've spent on the past.

It's hard to explain, if he's just spending 2.8k pesos per month and have a lot of income from his stable job, then it's fine. But for a normal person, it's a big money already, if he saved it, he'll get a lot of money than 15k.
2327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling affected your personal reputation? on: September 08, 2019, 11:43:00 PM
Not really, because I only see gambling as a part of entertainment only so it's a normal thing to do.
Nothing really complex, we're just doing it because we wanted to be entertained but for others, it really changes the personality especially their human behavior.

Don't do gambling if you lack dedication on what you're doing, if you think it's a sin then you're wrong because you have a different perspective on gambling. You should see it as entertainment purposes only, if you have enough money then it's fine but if you're using your money for daily routine then it will literally change and be an emotional person.
2328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to receive a donation in bitcoins? on: September 08, 2019, 11:35:03 PM
Try to work real and do the food sales business. Perhaps from this business, you can use little initial funds. But from the business advantage, it can be slow to pay the installments.

Even you have a business like that, you can't cope up and pay your debts easily, it will take a lot of years before you fully paid it.
According to him, the payment must be done immediately so It's hard for him to get it done.

Asking for donations is not also a good option because we don't know him/her and the specifications of the problem. We're also working hard to receive money so I think he/she should try his luck on some lending companies in his/her country.

Yes, you have a lot of things you must consider on making a business kasi kung hindi mo sinunod lahat ng factors na yon, ikaw ang malulugi at sayang lang ang puhunan.

In addition, the account woke up after one year of inactivity just to post in the local's lending thread.

This guy is trying his/her luck on lending services even it's very impossible for a newbie. I think nagsearch 'to ng lending services kaya 'to napadpad sa ating local.

hello condoras im a newbie here i hope i can have a loan of BTC0.009285 thanks i will repay for 1 week

For more future applications, I hope na alam niyo yung position niyo bago kayo mag-ask ng loan sa mga lending section kasi aksaya lang sa oras minsan. And for those lenders, be more careful kasi padami ng padami ang mga mapagsamantala.
2332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scammer caught tortured and killed. on: September 08, 2019, 10:36:20 PM
It's normal especially when money is the main cause of the murder.

It's already happening in our world, not just only in bitcoin but in the mafia or gang. If someone gets scammed, gang will literally murder that specific person.

I wonder how they knew the location and personality of that person, If it's huge money then it will cost their lives. People get emotionally because it's money that will solve your financial problems, a money that will take you on the top, no one likes being deceived so they ended up killing or worst.
2333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im sick and tired of this Bitcoin on: September 08, 2019, 10:31:23 PM
Not all of the time, it's good or green in the market, I hope you're aware of that status.

It's hard to trade especially when Bitcoin is not stable. If you're trying to make it as your job, it will be more difficult for you to make income.

Take the risk if you want to get a lot of profits. In doing investment it's hard because you don't have any ideas if it is will work good or not, but the point is you need to choose wisely in every investment you do so you will not regret later because Bitcoin is unpredictable you must keep fighting until you reach success for it.
Honestly speaking, Bitcoin is really a good thing for us and will make us more profit but we need higher knowledge to make a good use of it. Risking is already part of our life and every situation we're facing, if you wanted to earn a profit, you must risk.
2334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We still don't have any idea about the real Satoshi, stop false info on: September 08, 2019, 10:26:22 PM
Even the higher-ups and the pioneer of this bitcoin community doesn't talk about Satoshi Nakamoto because they know that the people who claim they're Satoshi are just faking.

Truth you have said because I have also hardly seen such comments from them too , I think they could be considering it as spamming for them because the thread is becoming rampant really.

Agree, especially with beginners, there is a massive of spam that's happening in Satoshi Nakamoto threads and I hope they'll be reported or banned those accounts. It's already considered a nonsense topic since they're just arse-licking or keep spitting some false information.
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: September 08, 2019, 04:18:31 PM
Nice, this thread received a lot of answers. Thanks for answering!

That was a long time ago I think back when there is still no cryptocurrency I won 2nd prize in a lottery and it's worth $500 it's a huge amount in our currency it's two months salary for me and I remember I thew up a small party but until now it hasn't repeated yet, but everyone of us dream of hitting a jackpot that is why we bet on a lottery.

When I won a huge money back then, I also made a simple party with my friends and until now it's not repeating yet. We're always hoping that it will happen again but I think it will take a lot of time or never.

Years ago I went from 1k to 40k playing online poker in one night and lost it all a few hours later - no, thats no BS story but true... I can still see my history at this online poker room and cant believe it. Other than that, I have won 3-4k parlays 4-5 times but nothing special.

40K USD? Are you serious? If I were you, I'll probably deposit it as soon as possible in my bank account. Here in my country, it's already a million pesos and we can buy a house and lot on that money.

Can you screenshot that history?
2336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion) on: September 08, 2019, 03:40:46 PM
Many people watch football and it has different leagues so I guess it's football/soccer.

Here in our country, even we lack the ability to be a pro in football/soccer (because we're dedicated on playing basketball), I can see some people in social media who like and watch soccer. The football league is way bigger than the others, so I think it has a lot of supporters, means it has a lot of gamblers trying their luck while watching them play.

As you can see in many betting sites, there are no single gambling sites that don't have soccer/football.

So the answer to this poll is obviously on the google
Quote
Soccer / Association Football – 3.5 billion fans. Association Football or Soccer.
More fans, more gambling supporters, basically just a linear.
2337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: September 08, 2019, 03:30:51 PM
Gambling is not suitable to be a profession, moreover it is used for a main income. It can indeed be done because I've also experienced it for several years, but to be honest I suffer a lot to do it because every day I am required to bet by having high pressure to get a profit. So, make gambling just to have fun with a little hope of winning, that way you deserve to be a professional gambler because playing with a good mood will make winning and luck at least easy to get.
Yeah it cannot be suitable as profession but it can be done in some ways.

--

I think gambling can be a profession especially when you're playing on the international league. Being a pro on a specific genre like gaming, gambling or sports, you can be called as a pro or a professional player.

For example in eSports, even you're in a small league and really dedicated to winning, It means you're a pro. You're practicing every time and studying the possibilities of winning based on the current meta.

Nowadays, everything is suitable as a profession as long as you're doing it because you need to win.
2338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still excited when there is news about the real Satoshi coming up on: September 08, 2019, 03:22:49 PM
Honestly, I'm tired of seeing fake Satoshi news.  Sad
They're all spitting nonsense in the media.

Guys, try to read my thread: We still don't have any idea about the real Satoshi, stop false info
I think it's enough to appreciate SN's creation because he/she made it for the people. If he/she wanted to be anonymous, let him/her be. It's useless to share false infor about the Satoshi that's why until now, there are still people who claim they're SN.
2339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to receive a donation in bitcoins? on: September 08, 2019, 03:10:55 PM
why don't you run a fundraising campaign like gofundme, fundly, kiva or something else?
it's better than just asking for donations (begging not allowed here btw)
because right now people aren't that easy to give money for donations

Agree, it's not easy to make money, we have also personal lives. Just look for more options so you can pay your debts, do more efforts. Try all the possible solutions for your problem and don't hesitate. If you wanted to solve your problem, we'll desperately do everything right?

But hoping that it will be done through a good process.  Cheesy
2340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We still don't have any idea about the real Satoshi on: September 08, 2019, 10:35:09 AM
I'm also curious about Satoshi Nakamoto but not obsessed at all. I'm enough with his/her creations and it really has a lot of benefits...
I hope more people can understand this and stop all the FBI sort of thread/topic trying to find satoshi  Grin

I hope so.

I'm tired of seeing a lot of non-sense thread about Satoshi Nakamoto, it's kinda overrated already. The threads are being spammed by beginners and just focusing on him. There's a lot of information about the network that we must learn, for example, the Lightning Network, SegWit, or layer 2 solutions for the network.

We're making a better community if we focus on the network. If we develop and upgrade it, more people will try to use it, the more the user it will have a larger community. The issue about Satoshi Nakamoto is getting more political which we avoid here in the bitcoin community. I really hate when people are using bitcoin for political purposes, where bitcoin is not designated to be on it.
