Wow, very efficient miner indeed Smiley

Can you prove your website is legitimate, your account is new.

Read the thread in its entirity ... the man has been made to jump through a thousand hoops already!

But 28 6pin PCI-E connectors for a single rig is mind boggling to say the least. Is the 6 pin PCI-E connector the highest rated power plug that exists?
8 pin is rated at 150W officially, but for our use won't double whatever number each of us is comfortable with on 6 pin as it only adds 2 more ground wires.

not to mention no home outlet will support 3400 watts.. so it would have to be specially wired in its own sub panel. and this thing looks like a fire hazard..
No? You can power it from up to 9 PSUs if you want and split what circuits the PSUs are on as you like.

so i just run extension cords to different outlets? lol

unsafe as hell to but one way . lmao
2342  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.9.2 on: August 11, 2015, 09:37:08 AM
You'll probably have to swap the PWM and tachometer terminals on the fan if it is not showing speeds on the second fan.

I tiried to find a guide on how to not sure how to do that .I am willing to runn in a few fans to try it but not sure just how i went looking finding no real way . it just annoying to see the temps and not know that fans exact speed more a cosmetic thing then any thing.I know it doesn't matter .
2343  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: August 11, 2015, 08:58:19 AM
I updated one of my S3, quick and easy, just follow the read me

First thing I notice is Extra nonces command for Nicehash is not supported.
Code:
sha256.usa.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub

It is a minus for me
For the plus side

I tested mining on Antpool. Got a nice improvement.
I got 550GH-580GH average after 20-30min of mining.
Gain of 50GH or 10-15% at 250Mhz

Nice job. Any plan to support extra-nonce command ?

Edit : Waiting pool stats to confirm numbers

kano said hes not supporting that you can put it in i think he said but hes not?Sad  but don't take my word on it i will try to find were he said it in the CGMINER thread.

This thing seems like a big pain the ass with needing what 18 pcie connectors?

indeed it does and might be there first big mistake .  S5 + .

but it is real

2345  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: August 11, 2015, 08:23:58 AM
Which fan do u recommend for replacement for cooling S5. Original one has broken down.

I personally like these:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HQ18UDA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00

What's difference between Delta TFC1212DE-PWM 120mm x 120mm x 38mm and Delta PFC1212DE-PWM ?

Difference is in Amp's. TFC has 3,9A and PFC has 4,8A.

I connect TFC, beacuse I have made a mistake when ordering. Next fan is working OK, but temperature raises till 80°C and then shutdown. RPM was 0. Then I reboot S5. Now I have RPM displayed but miner is not working ( see picture below ).

Is it dead ? Any solutions ?

Shut it off let it set for at least one hour reset to factory defaults . use the right fan . one works with it one won't i think the TFC1212DE-PWM won't the controller is not powerful enough to power it but there is any other way to use that fan with PWM  .http://www.ebay.com/itm/181694032917?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT  but has to powered off the PSU . the Delta PFC1212DE-PWM may not either off the controller . i use these on my s5 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Y1HLA8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00 with the S5 controller and the speed thing im testing out on some old script miners for fun .

This is why niether may not work with the S5 controller. TFC has 3,9A and PFC has 4,8A.  you hit it on the nose .
2346  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: August 11, 2015, 08:15:21 AM
I think they should make another batch or two of s5's.

There's probably enough of them still in existence to outstrip the demand as they start coming off the shelves. Not neccesarily just form Bitmain, but all those gen 1 S5s that will start looking for 2nd homes eventually.

True, but my worry is what happens to the Home User /miner once the S3 and S5 are played put . I'm going to buy one or two more s5 now I was waiting to see whats next, if i could afford one of these , i wouldn't buy one due to no place to use it the right way.
2347  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: August 11, 2015, 02:12:32 AM
Does anyone have a chart with the voltage / frequency settings for underclocking and overclocking the S3?  I'm interesting in getting a better J/Gh ratio with a stable underclock.
Those are all in the Miner Configuration - Advanced Settings tab in my updated version Smiley
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/AntS3
Besides having those voltage settings in the gui, the update also makes your machine run more efficiently, update today!

How does the update make the machine run more efficiently?
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/blob/master/AntS3/README#L73

Their version hits the chip for results about 60,000 times a second, 60k is the approximate limit based on as fast as it possibly can load on the CPU ...

My version, about 1000 times a second. More than often enough, and a much reduced CPU load so that other important things get more available CPU, as mentioned in the README.

It's a tiny CPU, they clearly never had the slightest idea of what was using up all the CPU.

Edit: oh also there's another CPU reduction in all cgminer drivers -ck and I have done where we handle the stratum work more efficiently.

So by lowering the CPU load you get:

"few if any delays getting and processing work" from README

This translates into less stale shares?  A slightly higher hashrate?  Less power draw?

I didn't test it just watched it but yea from what i saw to all the above .to some not  enough but most like it  and it gave me a reason to keep my S3 going and go buy some used ones and am looking for some S3 ++ at a nice price til we know for sure what bitmain is up to .
2348  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: August 11, 2015, 01:59:26 AM
Picts look fake, Bitmain is quiet...  Huh
i got the pict from bitmain official weibo account
here http://weibo.com/bitmain

thats verified account

there are still many people who do not believe in the truth, hehe ...
Bitmain S5 + coming soon ..  Cheesy

won't matter for home users only will work in places with 2 or 3c kwh elec data halls at best and likely like most bitmain products over priced from the get go
and price drops just behind what it is practical to ever make ROI imho

itsn for home user 3kWt, the pricenow drop to 17,200Yuan from 19,000Yuan

Th price of used s5 are drop to 352 USD ( 1.333 BTC )
Still more expensive than batch 4  ($340)

S5 second hand unit from local China. some have very bad experience with second hand unit.
but this only choice for buy this unit a low price Cheesy

it's diff not for the home user at 3k kill o watts or 3400 watts . even if i could a ford it, i wouldn't buy it id have to move my home farm in a building some place close then cost start to really add up . I don't want that hassle or bro, there is the tax man etc right now i pay taxes but the taxes i have to if i start that and other costs no TY .I'm  getting to old for that .

So if I want this to work i just need the write the minera.iso to my sd card and put it in the pi with all the hardware connected ofcourse.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty much yea know what hardware you have and miner software supports what hardware  but yea just burn and then plug and play .

try it , it actually works nice i updated three S3 and it gave them new life . he also said hes working on one for the S5, if it's as good a update as the S3, i see all most all  of the S5 problems gone.I do mean that i will be running my S3 for many month more dispite what bitmain does either way .I not just saying that or kissing ass,I don't believe in ass kissing if it works then say so .

I hope They Don't forget the Home Miner but i saw this coming it had to no freindly visits on the forums any more you call them unless your prepared to pay a lot you get the the go fuck off shoulder , it was just a matter of time i was so hoping they would still sell to the home user but it is now looking like those days are truly ending if bitmain goes the way of big business and forgets the little guy .

wtf!!!!

Did someone not read the directions first?

Quote
  • The full block reward (including transaction fees) is distributed according to the Capped PPS with Recent Backpay (CPPSRB) system.
  • When a block is found, the pool pays up to 25 BTC + fees worth of qualifying payouts, prioritized by how long each payee has been waiting

to add your not solo mining here you are sharing with others in the pool if you want to solo mine go here  http://solo.ckpool.org/  but you will not get a thing  there unless you hit a block then those 25 coins are all yours but be prepared for no payout  . IMO that's the best pool around to solo mine at.

as far as i know mining at this kind of pool you will never get the full block if you hit it .

and
why the payout is the way it is here you are not paying a fee for mining here .

I love using this pool because you won't find one like it any more .

Can i mine with Multi HD wallet on Eligius ?!

This one  https://multibit.org/  if so  YES just let it make a BTC address to use like this here :

THIS pools URL

The Multi HD wallet BTC ADDRESS you made using it here with the miner you are using

WHAT miner are you using ? .

Michael Millican (sp) spent less than 5 years in jail over his bloody-near a BILLION ripoff of folks.

I don't remember the details, something about junk bond fraud....

some one in US just recently had the book trowed at him  for bitcoins related crimes some of it was unfair but i guess they don't care in  US any more and getting really tired of this kind of stuff.

but yea if the US doesn't come after him and they don't recover the coins hell Pretty much get a way with it but they are creaking down on it here. it wasn't dot.com it was some one else when i find it I'll link it . they wanted to make a example of hm and did .
2356  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon official reponse to Bitmine bankruptcy - Let the evidence talk on: August 06, 2015, 04:24:02 AM
Storm in a tea-cup really ... 5th paragraph says:

Quote
If found guilty, Karpeles could face up to five years in prison, or a fine of up to 500,000 yen (£2,650).

nice link first time I read about it . he refused to come to the US for questioning , well if hes found guilty etc there, after his five years is up the US will pick him up and the US may still under some other law He could be in jail for 30 or 40 years . you just don't lose 390 M and expect no one to care or notice then once it's over a few years later popup and on some iland live in like a king . lmao.
2357  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [10000Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB on: August 06, 2015, 02:13:20 AM
i am waiting from the answer from one of the two Eligius persons before i switch to coinbase wallet...

It's never recommended to mine to an address that you do not control personally.

That said, I do believe Coinbase is one of the few services that does properly handle generated payouts, so, technically you should be able to.

But again, I do not recommend mining to any address/wallet you don't actually control, as in you have the private key(s).  Doesn't anyone remember MtGox?  Cry
I'm sure everyone remembers that MTGox paid for Eligius' servers in order to get free transactions ...

Kano, I like you, I really do. But... Jesus, man, put a cork in it. How long can you keep a feud going to no purpose? If I had to pick who I'd rather have a beer or a bowl with between you, CK, Luke-jr, and Wizkid, I'd probably only exclude Luke because inevitably we'd clash over Christianity. Whatever went down between y'all was years ago. Have a smoke and chill, will ya?

I like him to, i think hes very cool . but him and luke most of had some really bad words beyond what we saw i guess . I'm not tiring to start anything . i mean that ...

but

. By  that i mean there is a lot respect on this site , Ive never seen any other place I'm not just saying that .  one example is go to the some of the so called gaming forums were there is suppose to be respect but make one post that might help the game  etc they don't like it you ass is glass and the DEV let them do it. here on one really does it and they actually back off .

SO ,why all the fighting. Your cool lukes cool etc I would hate to see one day a really bad post that might end in a really bad way .
2358  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: August 05, 2015, 04:03:16 PM
Thats pretty steady. This my miner hashing 4.4 TH:

YEA but my point is the speed are not what the miner show me doing i moved them. I get the right speeds at other pools like others are reporting.

I can screen shot them and the S5 UI if needed i spent hours tiring to figure why there so low steady or not at this pool , i also didn't post it all of how bad it got i was at 4th or so  at one point then it dropped to nothing that was when i had 4 S5 here . so it may be steady at some point but not up to speed.

any way GL  no biggie  really .

just move them report it, keep a eye out, when things looks stable again, move back .
2359  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: August 05, 2015, 03:29:31 PM
WHEN I MOVE THEM MY SPEEDS PICK RIGHT UP Smiley .

That's been happen to me for two days, I moved all mine for now .

I even think my payout have been wrong can't say, i just moved them for now and call it a lose . no biggie.
2360  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: August 05, 2015, 01:26:23 PM
Anyone else seeing a lapse in the antpool stats? My miners are dropping off the stats page but when looking at the miners they show being online and working.

Me, i thought my S5 were going up, I moved them for now . my speeds are dropping etc i really really thought  it was me so i came to look and it's not .
