2341  Other / Meta / Re: Incorrect and unjustified deleted messages from 1xbit participants on: February 13, 2022, 04:33:19 PM
I have seen other 1xbit scam promoters say this kind of thing in different thread. I observe something from what you people are saying. It is not that 1xbit promoters posts are worse than others. What happens is that people are always reporting the participants because of the scam you people are promoting. Then the moderators is likely to delete posts that are reported to them than the ones that are not reported to them. The more your posts are reported, the more chances it stand to be deleted.
2342  Other / Meta / Re: Is it only me, ot there are new ways of hidden advertising on the forum? on: February 13, 2022, 08:42:44 AM
It is possible that it can be a coincidence, especially if both of them are Philippians. If both of them are from the same country they can have the same time zone. It is possible they can go off within the same time.
If the game is a trend in their country, it can also be a reason for that.
But if you are just looking at the conversation, it is looking like a planned something in order to advertise their game.
2343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Currency in Africa on: February 13, 2022, 07:54:59 AM
It is true that Internet access or coverage in Africa is poor compare to other Western countries. But it is not only the Internet that is the problem of Africa people to adopt bitcoin. Another problem is information and mindset. When the government has spoilt the mindset of the people and the people does not get good information.
I am saying this is because the number of people using Facebook in Africa is high. You cannot use Facebook without Internet. That mean some people use their own internet to do other things.
2344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lies and critics about bitcoins on: February 13, 2022, 07:36:25 AM
Some people write to earn a living, whether they are writing the truth or lies will be determine by their readers. Some people are paid to write bad about a particular project and they will do that without thinking second time.
Some people don't have knowledge of bitcoin but they write from their ignorance. Because we are here in this forum and have some knowledge, there are people that don't know the simple things about bitcoin but they will be spreading FUD.
2345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 12, 2022, 09:10:07 PM
Despite the victory (which PSG again received in a valid style by scoring a goal in the last minutes), it can be said that before the match with Real Madrid they are in bad shape. They have surpassed Rennes in terms of possession statistics, but they have almost the same statistics of shots 12-13 and shots on target 1-1. I think that Real Madrid has a higher level of performers than Rennes and if the game follows the same scenario (Real on the counterattacks and PSG in possession of the ball in the center of the field), then the result for PSG will be much worse.
Psg performance has reduced and they didn't do too well against Rennes. But I don't know if it is their present form or they are just reducing their performance against the Champions League so that no key player will be injured.
This Champions league is very very important for psg and they have been fighting for it for so many years. They have Messi this time around who knows they can be lucky this time.
2346  Economy / Economics / Re: Sustainability in Bitcoin Renewable Energy on: February 12, 2022, 08:54:57 PM
This is a very fine project. What I am afraid of is the cost implications of the project. If the cost of developing a technology that will trap the energy generated by Bitcoin to a renewable energy is higher than the cost to generate the energy, I think the project will not be sustainable.
It is a good thing that bitcoin mining farms should begin to chase green energy so that bitcoin will not be falling into the trap of governments.
2347  Economy / Economics / Re: Just my own thoughts on: February 12, 2022, 08:33:14 PM
We have three things in your post. They are btc, fiat and CBDCs. Btc is decentralized and runs on blockchain, CBDC is centralized and runs on blockchain and the fiat is decentralized and does not run on blockchain.
If you want to make comparison is should be on centralize and decentralized.
If it is like that, bitcoin is different from the rest two.
But if you talk about competition, CBDC should be in competition with fiat because they have the same parents which is government. Bitcoin is different and bitcoin is liberty.
2348  Economy / Economics / Re: Times Change! on: February 12, 2022, 07:59:33 PM
Human being use to find it difficult to welcome anything they don't understand. Especially technology, every technology use to suffer many setback and difficulty in the beginning stage. I have a similar story like the bitcoin and Wikipedia.

One church in my country Nigeria, prohibited their members from watching television when television was new in the country. The pastor of the church said television was demonic. But today, the same church uses television to broadcast to the whole world.
2349  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 12, 2022, 02:52:22 PM
I was thinking about side job and main job in this way until I met a friend who does not have main job but he has many side jobs. I ask him why he doesn't have a main job. He replied and ask me what is main job? Is it business or is it government work?
He told me that there is nothing like a side job or a main job that he is just working remotely. That he will not work for anyone permanently and he can not depend on one source of income. He said that as one is important, all are important to him. So can remote jobs be what you call side job?
If that takes his time mostly, then it's no longer a side job, but a main job. I guess its the trend these days that people are no longer going in offices for their day jobs, since we can already make a decent income just working remotely. But i agree, all jobs should be given importance since all of them generate an income. But honestly, having a main job aside from side jobs gives us more security knowing there's always a stable and fixed income that we can rely especially not just for daily survival, but for emergency cases too.
Very very good you say here. I now understand very well the meaning of side job here according to OP. You have explained it for me. That a main job is that particular job that takes much of your time thag other jobs. And a main job is secured. That means it will not end soon, the person might retire in the main job.
It is good therefore to have a permanent job and then be working others jobs that can give you money too. Job security is very important.
2350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is NFT? on: February 12, 2022, 12:00:18 PM
Some of the reply above is correct but too generalized. Let me explain it in ELI5 form, First of all let's define what is NFT, NFT stands for None Fungible Tokens meaning it can be replaced any same token because of its uniqueness. NFT is a product of wrapping ERC20 that converts as ERC721. Meaning each ERC721 is unique and has no similar to tokens on the entire blockchain. This uniquness feature is the main reason why it was famous for incorporating Arts, Music and Collectibles because the buyer can literally own the art because no one can have it once you possess the ownership of it.

I like your explanation. It goes from the definition, as a non fungible token, letting us know it is a token, then mentioned the blockchain it run on, which is a good one. You also went down to discuss its uniqueness which is why it js able to incorporate arts and music industries.
I know you have knowledge about nft, can you please explain the legality of it. How the ownership can be successfully transferred to avoid double spending.

2352  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has become a lifeline for sex workers on: February 12, 2022, 07:39:30 AM
This is the perfect example. The mass majority of people will only realize the importance of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies only when they actually get deplatformed and when they're already out of choices. I could guarantee that most sex workers have been ignoring bitcoin back then, until recently.
This is true for bitcoin adoption. Many people that are using bitcoin today did not just willingly start to use it. It is when there is a problem that bitcoin will solve that you will see them using bitcoin. With this style many people will start using bitcoin. Necessity they say is the mother of discovery. Bitcoin is giving people liberty to do what they like and that is why government always foghr bitcoin.
2353  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [CHARTS] Monthly Overview Of The Unofficial Nigeria Local Board📈 on: February 12, 2022, 07:28:51 AM
Igehh you have done good for this over view. The people in unofficial Nigerian Local Board are doing well and contributing very well. But I notice something in the board, there are good posts that are not merited. But when I visit other people's Board I will see the rain of merits. Is like that there is unfair distribution.
I don't know how you get your data. For you to be correct, don't use assumption to include people. Include only the people that use to post on the Nigerian Local Board thread.

2355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: February 11, 2022, 11:57:21 PM
Although bitcoin and ethereum seem similar to me, I believe that the older an asset is, the better it is to trust.
I don't see them being similar but if it's about being an investment, that could be it. About the latter, the older the asset is and they're more trustworthy. I agree in a sense that these are for those established cryptocurrencies, these two no doubt that they're established and old. But, there are also those old assets but they're no longer viable because they're too outdated ad there is no longer support from the community which has resulted them to be dry and forgotten by everyone and even its own market.
They both use the PoW protocol, so they have some similar features. But many people have said that there is some kind of centralization in ethereum. One other thing I like Ethereum for is that the system is innovative and gives room to changes that usher in new technology. But bitcoin is not dynamic, will be what is use to be, anyone that tries a hard fork will fault or tire the system.
2356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Testament on: February 11, 2022, 11:47:50 PM
The proposals are always good but the implementation is not always a planned. Bitcoin works on trustless protocol, any attempt to trust the legal practitioners and include some kind of centralization, I don't like it.

I will give my keys to my next of kin. If I am not comfortable with that I will buy a save space in the bank where I will save my documents and keys inclusive and also tell my next of kin.

I can still use sig wit and make sure my next of kins need to save unanimously before a fund will move. I will run to Bitcoin anytime, I do not trust centralized systems.
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 11, 2022, 11:23:17 PM
Man Utd SHOULD beat Southampton because they spend far more money on players & pay much higher wages. As we all know though, football doesn’t work like that. Saints are in good form & Man Utd are in trouble. It seems lots of Man Utd players don’t work hard enough & put in too little effort. I really wouldn’t be surprised if Southampton win this one.

Yes, given the squad they have and the money they have spent they should be at least in top 4 by now but they are still at 6 but giving a performance like a team in bottom 5. Saints have the capability, players like Ward Prowse, Romeu, Armstrong who are in form and in other hand United have no one in form.  I also don't think they are working hard enough. I might watch this one if Rangnick pairs up Cavani and Ronaldo in this one, they link up pretty well and maybe that comes out as a solution for United.
How can you bench the only proper number nine( Edison cavani)you have in favour of kids like Marcus Rashford and Sancho that don't even know there real position, Rangnick should pair Cavani and Christiano Ronaldo with four midfenders behind them to give the team stability in midfield and defence then in the second half if need be change Ronaldo with Sancho or change cavani with Rashford.
Manchester united have so many England average players that are over hyped. They always see themselves as superior to this other clubs whenever they play them. For instance people like Rashford and Sancho, especially Rashford does not play anything for Manchester United again. He does not mark and sometimes trek in the pitch but media will keep protecting him. But if pogba or martial just misbehave small they will make the whole headline.
2358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: February 11, 2022, 11:17:13 PM
Real Madrid's most important player Benzema is still injured. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
Is he not yet confirmed whether will play or not? I can't remember what I have seen in the newspaper today; it was somewhat green AFAIK. He is likely to be missing the match against Villareal but will be playing the UCL. That's what I have read if I can remember correctly. Nevertheless, as I said above, though RMA will be missing Benzema if he doesn't play, still it will be a good day for Madrid; not for PSG  Cheesy
The last time I checked it seems that he has not been completely ruled out or cleared to play the game yet, however if he does no play then who will Ancelotti play in his place? Luka Jovic seems like the natural replacement to play in the absence of Benzema, however another option could be to play Isco instead, still Real Madrid has so many good players that even if the absence of Benzema will hit them it will not be as bad as to decide the game in favor of PSG.
No matter how many good players that are available to play for real Madrid against psg, if Benzema is not available the impact will be feel. Benzema is we known by Madrid and Madrid well known by Benzema. Let us just hope he will be fit, but if he is not fit till that time, Isco should come in for him to be the play maker and vanicious jnr will do the magical finishing. Madrid as a club knows how to play champions league.  I trust them.
2359  Other / Meta / Re: How Bitcointalk forum is giving Bitcoin another look in the minds of locals on: February 11, 2022, 11:08:27 PM
The way people campaign for bitcoin differs from country to country. In some countries you don't need much sensitization because they are advance in civilization and has human right. But in some other countries, you have to be able to convince people that you are not a scammer or into ponzi scheme whenever you mention bitcoin to them. Then you still need to be careful and afraid of the government and their secret agents who always hunt for people that are into crypto.
2360  Economy / Reputation / [POEM/SONG] Congratulation to me for full member rank. on: February 11, 2022, 05:49:40 PM
I was happy when my rank turned from member to full member
To show my appreciation I decided to write a poem. As a choirmaster, I use the lyrics of the poem to compose a song in sofa notation. The title is BITCOIN IS LIBERTY . I will teach the song to my choir of 21. This peom/song is dedicated to Bitcointalk forum.

Solo
Do you remember, when Nakamoto came up with an idea. An idea to liberate the people, an idea to control your finance. Many took it for a fairy tale, under-rating  the power of blockchain. Time has proven that Satoshi was right.

Chorus:
O! Yes, liberty has come,
O! Yes, liberty has come,
The wind of bitcoin is blowing everywhere.

Verse one
We were over-taxed,
For a business we do not own,
We could not act, because we were vulnerable,
But today, bitcoin has brought liberty

Chorus:
O! Yes, liberty has come,
O! Yes, liberty has come,
The wind of bitcoin is blowing everywhere.

Verse two
We were extorted ,
Our income was been monitored,
We could not act, because we were vulnerable,
But today, bitcoin has brought liberty.

Tutti
Bitcoin has come,
Bitcoin is here,
Bitcoin will last,
Bitcoin has come to stay.

If you are a pianist, you can try the chorus with a piano.
