2361  Other / Meta / Re: Sendable merit, how to use it? Send it when agree/ disagree with posts? on: September 01, 2019, 01:49:23 AM
Rewarding merit is a personal thing to do, and not something that should be standardized. We want difference of opinions, and different ways users go about meriting because we need that diversity for a number of users to rank up. Otherwise, it will be the same old users getting all the merit.

Yes, we have our own criteria on giving merits but If that criteria is where the circle of friends benefits, it's useless. I mean, we shouldn't forget what's the right statement to be merited, because people nowadays have high standards and just spending their merit to the people they knew even there's a lot of quality post out there that is x99 better. If that's the case, it should be balanced, sometimes we must be based on our own criteria but if we see something pushing their limits just to make extraordinary and worthy posts, then we should.

---
and btw, this topic was being discussed multiple times already, I think we should spend it based on our own as long as it doesn't defy the rules. end

Through your definition of payment gateway, I can say na ang coins.ph ay considerable as one of bitcoin payment gateways kasi nga through them, we can easily pay bills or makabili ng load.

Ang daming features ng coins.ph na pwede nating magamit if verified users tayo especially sa pag transfer ng money to bank. Kaya at some point we can say na ang coins.ph is a gateway because it helps us to pay bitcoin to some merchants.  Wink
2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Founder of bitcoin??? on: August 31, 2019, 03:57:09 PM
Strangely James Bilal Caan claims that he was the founder of bitcoin.. But lost his hard drive.. Is this possible??

What you guys think about James? Why he use this type of statement.. Specially his explanation about his hard drive?

I think you have used the wrong word not the founder but creator, I never had the slightest idea that he is from Asia, but the hard drive issue is unacceptable, I could accept that Satoshi could be dead, but losing his private keys from his hard drive is just too much.

I hope if he is the real Satoshi he'll forgive me but I want to say that he is an idiot, this is such a newbie mistake, when he is creating Bitcoin's code, why did he not create a code or a way that you can retrieve your private keys, he knew all along that losing your private keys means losing all the coins, it should be imprinted in his mind when he made that huge blunder.

True, everyone can say they're Satoshi Nakamoto and lost their hard drive that consists a lot of bitcoins. Even the personnel of this forum doesn't recognize him as Satoshi.
People are just making names on the crypto community to start their own platforms, I really doubt that.

Satoshi can reveal himself through this platform.
2364  Other / Meta / Re: Sendable merit, how to use it? Send it when agree/ disagree with posts? on: August 31, 2019, 03:28:22 PM
I give merits to those on-point statements and relatable to the OP, that's it.

Disregard if it's long or short, the deliberation of the statement wasn't big deal because the important thing is the point or the thought. It's also worthy to give merits to some technical answers that add or provide enough information regarding the topic. Sometimes we feel to give merits to those we agree with because his thoughts on his statement are similar to yours or you appreciate his statements/opinions that might be a spice to the topic, that's the reason why they still give merits that shows "like" or "agree".

For example, if I'm currently explaining on a thread and specified an on-point statement, I deserved to received merits because of being on the topic and it means that if they merited me, they agree or accept my statement to be considered in the discussion even it's against to some people. People misunderstood the meaning of agreeing in discussion, it's like accepting his opinions or making it belong to the specific topic.

Sometimes there are topics that are very common and basic, the only way to received merits on that thread is to provide examples and other information that's related to the OP. If you just agree to the OP without stating any facts then your reply is considered useless since you didn't engage for more discussions, basically, it's just a low key spam/non-sense post.

2365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Says “Bitcoin under $9,500. If you are panicking, you are a fool” on: August 31, 2019, 02:14:31 PM
Definitely agree into this since we knew that it's the best time to make more profits.
We should be more optimistic about bitcoin's ability to make the market green.

It is necessary to hold Bitcoin, but not to buy. I am sure that the price will continue to fall for several more weeks until the launch of Bakkt.

I always see some promotional statements about Bakkt, do you think it will literally surpass bitcoin?
Several altcoins already tried to be better than bitcoin but no one succeeds.

I still have faith in bitcoin even Bakkt was supported by popular companies.

As an innovator, you must keep your aiders, gadgets etc in place. Other innovators never talked about forgetting their tools but that they forgot that they have eaten because they were engrossed in their work.

We knew that satoshi is really an intellectual person for creating the blockchain and bitcoin but did you ever think that he/she will lost his/her own creation? I know it's a dumb thing if you lost something valuable and definitely he's not the real satoshi.

If you wanted to reveal yourself, you should have the proof to make people believe you.
2367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man claims to be Satoshi, Ordered to pay Billions in Bitcoins. on: August 31, 2019, 01:04:03 PM
When people know he is not satoshi, why paying attention to him. You are making him famous without any reason by posting stuff related to him.

It's a good thing for them posting some stuff about Craig for them to know that he's an imposter. We definitely knew that he's not the real Satoshi Nakamoto and satoshi will never reveal him/herself.

When posting news/articles about him, it doesn't mean they wanted to make him more famous, it's just an awareness especially for those who are new to the community.

2370  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [DISCUSSION] InfoTech Lounge - Programming Languages Needed on Blockchain on: August 27, 2019, 05:18:12 PM
It's not hard to learn to program especially when you can easily familiarize the codings of different programming language. As of now ang daming free courses online na nagtuturo ng Python since marami ang use nito ngayon especially sa mga modules and OS, madalas rin ito magamit sa industry ngayon. If you're familiar with some social media platforms like fb, twitter atbp pang website, some of its structure are made of python.

If you're referring about blockchain, I think hindi python ang best way to use kung interesado talaga kayong gumawa ng blockchain. The reason why I used python sa thread ko is because gamit ko yung Raspberry Pi ko that includes built in Python Language. If you're interested in creating blockchain, it's better to learn C++ nalang kaysa sa iba, the pioneer language and the second is Java.

Actually, I'm currently making some simulation para mapalabas naman yung Lightning Network kasi gusto kong makita yung connectivity map nito. Ito naman ay omnet, ginagamit lang siya for simulation at open source siya kaya madali gamitin pero hindi siya makakagawa ng blockchain na gusto natin but you can simulate the process at makikita mo yung flow how the network works.

Sa ngayon kasi i don't find it useful kahit aralin natin yung mga languages, hindi rin naman tayo makakagawa ng working or existing blockchain since ang daming factor na kailangang i-consider. I mean, hindi lang naman naka-rely lang sa python or kung ano mang language yung blockchain kasi may mga interface pa na dapat gawin. Kung may nagbabalak mang kumapit sa industry ng blockchain, it requires ideas din lalo na ang mga artificial intelligence or predictive models kapag i-aapply mo na lahat lahat. Kaya goodluck nalang din at need rin ng funds to implement your own blockchain.  Cheesy

2372  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Gabay] Mga impormasyon patungkol sa mga phishing sites, malware at virus on: August 27, 2019, 01:35:21 PM
Just to correct something in the title.
Generally, malwares lang dapat dahil ang virus ay included na at determined as one of the malwares. There are types of malwares, yun ay ang; adware, bots, bugs, worms, rootkits, spyware, Trojan, spyware, and virus, and I think included na rin dito yung keylogger which leads to stealing of information, kasi may mga keyloggers kasi na for a good cause pero generally dangerous pa rin ito.

Malwares at Virus

In a technical term, hindi virus ang clipsa dahil considered siya as one of the malwares. That's the differences between a virus and clipsa, and both of them are considered as malwares.

Regarding about Phishing sites, I hope they up this thread kasi mas kumpleto ito;

2375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Hackers Bombard Chipmixer to Launder at Least 4,836 BTC on: August 25, 2019, 11:59:36 PM
Why is the chipmixer services need? i don't see the relevant of their service if it can be mostly use for criminal activities, who knows this is what many hackers use so that those stolen coins will be hard to trace, funny how their signature is been paraded by top members of this forum.

People claim that honest users may want to use their services for privacy reasons but lets be real,  most people using their services have gotten their coins in a shady matter.  Usually theft, drugs, or other crime.

How can you easily say that?
All of the things in here that are being made by a man can be used in good and bad things because we all differ on the perspective on how we will use that specifically. Let's be real here also, did you ever search about the advantages of Bitcoin mixing?  Huh

Are there any sources of articles that can prove mixers are for negative things only?
Did you ever think about Bitcoin that is being used for bad things also? Scamming, buying drugs, illegal guns and other crime. They're the same thing, the only differences are, a mixer is a platform and Bitcoin is the currency but both can be used in bad or good things.

2377  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pinoy takot paren sa crypto-investing? on: August 25, 2019, 06:24:26 PM

Let's say mulat ka and you knew that bitcoin wasn't really bad, pero hindi pa rin ibig sabihin non ay naaabsorb natin yung knowledge by being open-minded. You must know "why" and "how", then through that questions malalaman mo na at mafoformulate mo yung step by step learning. Nakadepende pa rin sa atin kung magririsk, mageengage at itutuloy pa rin natin dahil makakatulong lang ang pagiging open-minded for searching knowledge not gaining it.
2378  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [DISCUSSION] Different Bitcoin Payment Gateways ⚡ *NEW* on: August 25, 2019, 05:39:09 PM
I'm a little bit curious about sa mga gumagamit ng Bitcoin Payment Gateways lalo na yung Bitpay, halimbawa USD or any national currency ang hinihingi ni marchant from it's consumers.

Halimbawa si Steam gamit ang Bitpay, halimbawa ang hinihingi ni Steam ay USD, since gumagamit sila ng Bitpay, tapos Bitcoin ang ibabayad mo sa Steam at dadaan ng Bitpay, ang matatanggap ba ni Steam ay Bitcoin mismo or converted na ito sa USD or any fiat currency?
--
Sa case ng Steam naman , Valve is completely getting USD from their costumer's payment from bitpay in buying products sa kanilang steam . The reason kung bakit nila tininigil ang bitcoin payment option sa kanilang tanggapan is dahil sa volatility ng bitcoin and ang reasoning ng Valve management ay dahil nga ayaw nilang mag suffer ang kanilang customers dahil sa pag bulusok ng fees ng bitcoin.  At maraming bitcoin users ang nag rereklamo sa kanila dahil nga daw during their purchase nag fluctuate bigla ang price at kinancel ng bitpay ang payment nila dahil kailangan nila ulit i set ang price according to USD and because of that kailangan na nman nila mag make ng new transaction which also means na another fees nanaman for their customer.

Actually naranasan ko na rin 'tong case na ito when it comes to transaction.
If familiar kayo sa rebit, dati kasi yan pa ang gamit ko dahil hindi pa ako verified user ng coins.ph sa kadahilanang wala pa akong valid ID since student palang naman ako. So when it comes to payout, doon nagkakatalo, nalulugi ako minsan sa fees dahil hindi naman stable lagi ang market, kada-minuto or segundo nagbabago ang price ng bitcoin. So kapag nag-payout ako, I'll send the bitcoin to a specific address na binigay ni rebit, then after ma-receive ng rebit yung pinadala ko, kinukulang kasi nga nagbabago yung value ng Bitcoin sa market which leads to another transaction at fee.

Regarding that issue, I've already thought a solution to that. What if mag-accept ng BTC ang merchant then automatically macoconvert ito sa USD then doon palang bumili ng game? Or i-recommend ng system na sobrahan na yung isesend na BTC and macoconvert into usd, sa steam wallet. Para atleast hindi masasayang at hindi ka na uulit pa for another transaction. Also, they must require the customer to pay higher fees para mas mapadali ang transaction at hindi na maabutan ng changes sa market.

Marami naman talagang solutions regarding that kaso ayaw nalang din pahirapan ng steam yung customers so they stick to the basic method ng pagbili ng games or ng SWC. Sa case naman nating mga pinoy, try to send the BTC on our coins.ph then buy SWC sa mismong platform nila, wala pang patong.
2379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will "satoshi" ever login again? on: August 25, 2019, 03:00:27 PM
--

And I do see a reason why. If the experiment becomes a huge success, i.e. becomes a world reserve currency, he will have enough money to protect himself, even from armies or agencies. People like Snowden had nothing and managed to stay alive. For now it would be dangerous for Satoshi to reveal himself, but it will be a different case when he becomes the richest man in the world. With such money he could really shape the economy, maybe even create his own country.

Satoshi has already completed the interface of this forum and made a lot of things already. So it means that his/her subordinates will handle the forum completely. There's no other reason why he/she will visit this forum again. Even the segwit feature of the bitcoin, it was made by his/her subordinates.

Yes, satoshi made history and a lot of us expectation his/her revelations but I think that's very impossible for us.
2380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 25, 2019, 02:54:34 PM
Did you come up to a thing that an original is being replaced by a copycat? Basic questions have obvious answers bro.
I mean some altcoins didn't really copy the blockchain network but as an intellectual user of cryptocurrency, you'll stick the uniqueness.

Obviously, bitcoin has the original idea and have been through a lot of struggles in the on-chain network. Bitcoin was already developed and made some of the users made a layer 2 solutions on this digital currency.
