2361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM in Taiwan on: November 18, 2017, 04:55:11 PM
If this is happening in Taiwan, then its only a matter of time before this spread to the innermost part of the world and gradually the spread is really happening. It might take time, but sooner or later, we will get there, to the point where government and its agencies will have to start negotiating to feature with bitcoin and blockchain rather than the power they have now to either ban and unban or regulate. Either way, I am happy about this as it gives more solid base for bitcoin and what a lot of people around the world believed in.
2362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 0.28% of the world will ever have a chance of owning a full BTC - We are god! on: November 18, 2017, 03:44:47 PM
0.28% of the world will ever have a chance of owning a full BTC 21 million coins / 7.5 billion people. Thats not true though because early guys have hundreds of coins, so actually this figures is even less!

If bitcoin is the next world currency, us early adopters are going to be very well off in years to come.

If you follow the bell curve:

2.5% Innovators
13.5% Early adopters
34% Early majority
34% Late majority
16% Laggards

Even with Bitcoin 8 years old, we are still in the VERY early stages of innovators. So the guys whos started in 2010 must be God / Jesus lol

I feel so privileged to find btc this early (since Aug 17 lol) and can see myself winning the lottery slowly. Im planning to get some btc for my kids for when they grow up for a house down payment. If BTC grows to $1 Million, then what I btc I buy for my kinds will be enough for a down payment.

Ladies and gents, if we HODL, we'll be rich in years to come. Its 125x from this point for a million btc

Your analysis and dream are very much valid because it shows someone who is a believer and not ready to dump if he manage to get his hands on 1btc because in the next few years, to get 1btc will be as difficult as robbing a bank so if anyone is able to get one now, keep and guide it jealously.

The unfortunate thing about the above dream coming true is a conditional statement and that is the bolded part which might come true or not based on if its the next world currency.
2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hope 2018 will be an awesome year for cryptoworld and especially BTC !! on: November 18, 2017, 03:18:52 PM
I hope 2018 will be an awesome year for cryptoworld and especially BTC !! BTC should be over 15,000 $ next year  Smiley

2018 will come with lots of possibilities for bitcoin. If that is any consolation, I see a lot of "about to" "going to" happening in real sense where the proposed adoption of bitcoin by businesses, counties, organisations coming into fruition. A lot of forks too are expected to happen which will shook the community and discussions will be around them for a while.

Not forgetting the challenges that will be faced as well, because the above happenings will equally come at a cost. With so many KYC shutting a lot of people out of using intermediaries that focus will be on peer to peer platforms with government also coming from its own end but in all, its a great year to look up to.
2364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the fork, is it a blessing to Btc or otherwise on: November 18, 2017, 01:06:10 PM
Hello guys, how are u, we have witness fork several and I want to know your view, if it was a blessing to Btc or otherwise

A lot of conflicting views will be garnered as a result of this and that's just the issue no matter the advantages a lot of people will still not see need for a fork and at the same time a lot of other people will argue to their last breath that for bitcoin to survive, fork remained the best alternative course of action.

For me, regardless of the technicality that is being done underground in the case of forked and not forked coins, I would be more inclined with the part of other than a blessing because of the confusion this is bringing to the market especially for newbies who don't know when it happened and why. Another is that there is no end to this fork as we move on, after the entire nomenclature has been used, we might then get to "bitcoin gold silver", bitcoin diamond gold" etc which is a bunch of joke if you ask me.
2365  Economy / Exchanges / Re: simplefx is scam on: November 18, 2017, 08:36:46 AM
We have discovered a malfunction of our Liquidity Provider’s bridge function. In result of the malfunction, our Bitcoin Cash Liquidity Provider has not been able to fill our Clients’ orders since 11th November 08:55 UTC. Acting in accordance with point 27.2 of SimpleFX Terms of Use and Customer Agreement, we were forced to cancel all BCH trades placed after the above-mentioned time.

Trading on BCH currency pairs will remain halted until the issue with current Liquidity Provider is fixed, or until we come to an arrangement with a new Liquidity Provider.

This your announcement is what should have come earlier and announced to everybody either via mail, on the forum or Twitter in other to notify everybody of the current development. A lot of people would have read the thread, make their conclusion about you service and won't even come back to know if you have a response or not.

In this crypto market no matter the side you are operating from, timely customer support and relations is key because trust here is so fragile, of its an offline company, I could easily walk into their office and get things resolved but not online where your location could be the other side of the world. Do well to work on this and refund as soon as possible the moment their orders are cancelled after necessary notifications though.
2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it more profitable to Hold BTC or buying a lower price and selling at higher? on: November 18, 2017, 07:14:21 AM
I think its more profitable to buy bitcoin, put it in a wallet and forget about it... Let it sit there for years don't do anything with it. What you are referring to is trading. As far as I'm concerned its the fastest way to lose money. But unfortunately its very popular here. That's the main reason you see people who have been here since 2011 but are not multi millionaires. Its because they thought they could predict the markets... The reality is, noone can... Also, life tends to get in the way. So even when we think we will replace the funds and buy lower, it never happens.

I would subscribe to buy low and selling high rather than holding in your wallet and keeping long term and the reason is simple. Bitcoin price is volatile if your long term is 6 months, then there is enough time within the period of keeping the bitcoin there and the expected time of maturity.

During this period a lot of high and low periods would have been witnessed which means a lot of opportunities would have been created that an individual would catch into an possibility of multiplying his btc is endless. Doing it on a platform that allows fiat exchange and vice versa makes that a possibility. Profit is sure after 6 months but much more profit is guaranteed with the right timing of decision making.

Ok, that's what I thought but better be safe:)

Thanks

There is actually nothing wrong in asking questions as there are people willing and ready to provide response to it without limitation. I hope with the response you have gotten, and the time of response you can be rest assured that our service is one of a kind. 2368  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in referral share 100% on: November 17, 2017, 05:07:35 PM
We have now 332 members  Grin

100% Ref share
Smelling ponzi, what should i do to increase the ref count?
is this some kind of signature, or another campaign?

What you don't know you ask, freebitco.in is not a ponzi scheme as they are one of the longest faucet sites in the crypto world and they have been doing that even up to this day. What Op is trying to do is promoting is referral link and if you register on the platform you will also get you own link in which you can share by any means you deem fit which is what Op is currently doing.

The way the platform is designed, the moment your referral claim, you automatically gets some Satoshis to your balance and what Op is doing as a form of incentive is to share such amount among his referral which was 25% before and now increasing it to 100%. I don't know if its allowed on the forum because generally referral links are not allowed because its interpreted as spamming the forum.
2369  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: How to find the good bounty ? on: November 17, 2017, 04:40:38 PM
Hi everybody,
I am new member and i want to find the good bounty program to join. Please help me !
Thank you so much .

You want to know a good bounty, one advice, contribute  your quota to the forum first then other things will follow. A lot of times we always look for answers because we are so hurry to want to earn but whether you like it or not, the answers will just come to you without too much stress. And you wonder if its that easy to get something like that.

There is no clear cut way in identifying the best bounty to join but with constant reading, contributing to topics you will then be able to decide for yourself the factors to look out for before joining any campaign or bounty.
2370  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: |||||--ASICWORLD--||||| ASIC MINING TECH |||| BTC & ALTCOIN CHECKOUT |||| on: November 17, 2017, 06:51:13 AM
will you do sales via another platform like ebay or amazon?

We will only be selling directly from the website there is no other method to buy from our stock.
Some talk of doing a group buy in the forum for products but for now, only the website will accept orders.

Orders will never be taken from the forum or via the pm system.

AsicWorld

If this is not possible, then I don't know how to quickly build up trust in the community. Its normal to not do that but to say it emphatically might send the wrong signal. On the forum here, there is a way trades are done to make everyone happy and selling of an hardware with such high fees then there is nothing wrong in making compromises in other to get accepted.

The main important thing is, who will trust you first to go with over $1000 without any form of control or escrow to protect his funds then come back to the forum to give a review but going through the forum way of doing things might make that come faster than you thought. My opinion though.
2371  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Mastercard and Bitcoin on: November 16, 2017, 11:27:10 PM
I'm guessing many have read this article about MasterCard patents and some history of their views on bitcoin.

 https://cointelegraph.com/news/mastercard-patents-blockchain-tech-for-instant-payments

I'm curious Bitcoin Forum members views on the patents.  Any comments about the closing line:

" This most recent announcement only highlights the level of intensely negative feelings toward Bitcoin among institutionalized finance departments, all while embracing the technology it is built on. "

This is another high level of hypocrisy from the MasterCard team coming to lay credit to something that is not even theirs to begin with and its boils down to the following

1. The same invention that they have been critical about and recently disable payment and support for bitcoin outside the EU region.

2. How do you even lay claim to something that is already in the public  domain. This move to me, is not out of the love for bitcoin nor because of one great invention, rather its just a way to tame an emerging currency that could make them obsolete and lose the market share they currently enjoy. They believe that by "owning" it by this move, they can then decide to either continue its development or shut it down while anyone still developing on it will be infringing on their own right.
2372  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Don't send sepa transfer from bitcoin based platform like bitpanda to payoneer. on: November 16, 2017, 07:57:05 PM
My sepa transfer from bitpand to payoneer EUR bank address got declined and they are saying they will return it to bitpanda which I don't think gonna credit to my account however  I will try to convince bitpanda to refund it to my account. Its small amount which I used to test whether it works or not but found that no it will not work.  Angry

A reputable company like bitpanda for their name sake they would return the money no matter how small the transaction failed and its normal to reverse it to the owner and in this case you. But its all good that you tried with small amount rather than going all in and waiting for several days for transaction to go through after which its now rejected that alone could give a sleepless night.

I also expect bitpanda to have listed some of the service providers that does not have bitcoin compatibility instead of going all through this stress. Its high time another alternative is been sought and above all thank you for sharing so others won't try same thing.
2373  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Bearish] Keep bitcoin away from the real economy, says billionaire on: November 16, 2017, 06:23:01 PM
Everyone have been expressing their opinion concerning the way they see bitcoin and how it purported to them in their own light. But the way they make it seems just like the constitution where someone will be relying on it to perform and action while the other will be relying on that same constitution to stop that same action. But I would agree with the school of thought against the future trading because that is calling for more speculations to determine the direction of price. Currently, people speculate and it sometimes turn out to be correct, at other times, it turns out to be the wrong one. But with such introduction, it then mean price will be decided based on the feelings of the majority of people while developments in the field of blockchain, adoption of blockchain technology and bitcoin, will contribute lower input into such determination.
2374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Is It Real?': Square CFO Speaks Out on Cash App Bitcoin Trial on: November 16, 2017, 05:04:56 PM
BTCSarah Friar, CFO of mobile payments firm Square, has filled in some of the detail on why the company has launched a bitcoin pilot scheme.

Revealed yesterday, Square's mobile payments product, Cash App, is now allowing a limited number of users to buy or sell bitcoin within their accounts.

Talking to CNBC, Friar explained:

"You're talking about it, it's out there, and so we want to do an experiment and say, OK, is this real? Do customers actually want to be able to do this?"

Friar noted that customers often feed back desired features in Square's products, and that some using Cash App to make payments have requested an "easy way to buy and sell bitcoin."

Arguing that the fastest way to get moving with new trends is to build innovations around them, Friar said, ultimately, risks have to be taken – citing the example of early days of internet as an example.

While future developments with bitcoin are uncertain, she added, "As an innovator, Square has to be there to let a customer do what they want to do."

If this is happening, then gradually we are getting to the point where the premonition that bitcoin will be banned by most countries will gradually fizzle away. Not too long, I read an article about EY trying to expand its blockchain research centre to other parts of the world by committing a multi-million dollars on developing tools that will be based on blockchain and by default have impact and credence to bitcoin.

These are the innovations to be glad about and news that are supporting the continued increase in the price of bitcoin because it then means confidence is increasing, EY committing such amount of resources means Deloitte will want to see an opportunity to develop their own programs without leaving out PWC and KPMG rather than only basing the price of bitcoin on moneybags and whales.
2375  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The No.1 Bitcoin Mixer! on: November 16, 2017, 03:28:01 PM
When we talk about Bitcoin, it is considered to be anonymous and absolutely secure. But if that was the case then how hackers target any particular person? It’s because it is not as anonymous as people consider or it seems to be.

That’s where Bitcoin mixers (blenders) were introduced. And in all this the name Bitcoinmix stands out, it is arguably the BEST Bitcoin mixer and can be trusted completely.

Their service enables users to mix the coins at random with other similar parts of other people before reaching its final destination, so we obviously receive new coins making things anonymous. So with the ever increasing hacking stories, it’s time to secure yourself! Try it now!

Wow, I really love this your review, but what seems to sound confusing is how come only you have heard about this service, and I don't know the basis and organisation that organized the award ceremony where the mixing service you are promoting is capped as the number one mixing service. A link to that effect will be appreciated though.

When it comes to mixing services, its not only enough to want to stay anonymous but also that the services you are using is sure to make that happen and that is not done on the basis of review of somebody but on the basis of the service itself being able to meet the need of the community over time to prove itself worthy to be trusted with my privacy. And that's where Chipmixer comes in and the market is large only if you can fill the large gap that all other reputable mixing services are leaving behind.
2376  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin is ...nothing,acording to my country`s laws. on: November 16, 2017, 03:05:18 PM
This obviously creates a paradox, as you can't pay taxes on revenue generated by "nothing". I don't know which European country you're from, but I'm Norwegian.

Our tax authorities didn't recognize BTC as being VAT (value added tax) exempt until about three years ago. For the time being you're in a legal limbo, and at the bare minimum I would advice you to report any BTC holdings on your tax returns.

However, I wouldn't start paying taxes on an unrealized gain (although I don't know what your intention is with the investment)..As soon as you exchange that money into fiat currency, the snowball starts moving though.

Best of luck regardless.

Virtually every country tax laws will want you to disclose all your income and pay tax on it but the same tax law will state what qualifies as income that would be taxed or otherwise. For example, income from loss of office or pension payment is exempted from tax which means you can derive income from such sources but tax will not arise an that does not mean its nothing.

In the case of bitcoin over here, the law has not been expressly stated which means that we are enjoying tax free income and I don't see that changing any time soon but there are discussions on how to ensure that this is captured but the concern is the moment they are looking at income from that end, then they are talking about legalizing it as well.
2377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My advice to Bitcoin newbies: relax on: November 16, 2017, 11:26:15 AM
Hello everyone, recently there has been a lot of panic on this forum due to the big price change of Bitcoin (as it always happens). Understandably, many people are confused and worried as they have lost thousands in their value, especially if they have bought higher than the current price. But as someone who has been into Bitcoin for 1.5 years (not too long, I know) I want to advice to newcomers to simply relax. Huge price swing were always a part of Bitcoin, so there's nothing extraordinary here and the worst thing you can do is to make panic trades. Basically, there are two main approaches to Bitcoin trading - you either hodl it, meaning you never sell it until it reached "the moon", or you are actively trading it to get profit from volatility. So, if you believe in Bitcoin's technology and don't experience as a trader, I suggest you to not touch your coins - Bitcoin always tends to increase in its value in the long run.

You see this advise of yours is something that should be as sticky and what every newbie should know about. I am sure if I had read this and digested it with proper understanding, there would have been some decisions I would have taken differently but what we cannot do is change the past but we can correct our coming actions which is the future.

Unfortunately, only a few newbie will take this as an advice while the remaining others will learn from their own experience rather from the experiences of others and it will be so disheartening to see someone fall despite all the various warnings and enlightenment such as this as we have it. We will continue to say our own, and wish they would listen.
2378  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Poloniex is stealing my money on: November 16, 2017, 06:40:27 AM
Unanswered service requests for months. They have dropped my withdrawal limit to 0 as soon as I started to withdrawal.

#431491 Pending verification

Any recommendations of legal action I could take? $30,000 at stake.

Thanks, Mark

Golden rule will always remain golden which is never leave bulk of your fund on exchange sites not only because they are targets of hackers but in addition to that, they might go against with their own policies which you can't do anything about and because they are big enough, they care less about you. To add more insult to injury, they don't notify you of their policies of activating anything that affects you but when its time for you to lose your money, they get in touch such as the listing of coins or some ICOs, this is not limited to Poloniex alone.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about it if its their policy and for them to ignore you for months means they are not ready to do anything about it. Way out, is to go find a way to do your verification if that is what they needed and get your funds out of there ASAP.
2379  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Withdrawing my BTC on: November 15, 2017, 09:16:57 PM
Hello i got some BTC to withdraw it but I dont know how,
I'm from Serbia and i want to withdraw it to my bank account or debit card.
Thanks in advance!

Another way go go about it is to try peer to peer platforms where you can sell. I don't know if the services of either localbitcoin or paxful among others are available in your country if they do, it makes it very easy as you can just carry out the transaction there and someone will deposit the money in your bank account.

Also, if that is not available, then one sure thing is that you won't be the only one in Serbia engaged in bitcoin and there would be ways people over there are cashing out just what you need to find out. Try search on Google or a public forum like this that might be localized  to your country and you might see someone to trade with.
2380  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashFlare Turning Scam?? on: November 15, 2017, 07:46:33 PM
I am using Hashflare.io from since 1 year. They paid me good and on time. But now they raise their withdraw limit. (0.0004 to 0.1 BTC) I think they start to scam now..

Anyone using Hashflare? Any thoughts?

In addition to what others have said that could have been the reason why the are raising the bar for withdrawals, I also think the increase amount of transaction fees could also be a problem in my own opinion because I wonder how much one will have to pay as withdrawal fees if you are going for the earlier minimum fees.

Generally, I don't believe in cloud mining but Hashflare has been one to have proven to be an exception and I don't think that is enough for them to be labeled as scam. If they want to scam, they would just have shut down operations.
