2381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is NEO still worth investing in? on: March 12, 2018, 02:00:27 PM
Is NEO still worth investing in? I have my final $150 and I'm not sure if I should buy NEO or ADA

wont get much returns on either

look for lower caps with real proven dev teams

I feel sorry for noobs just turning up here and finding huge inflated cap projects and thinking they are the most worthwhile ones to invest in.

2383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: March 11, 2018, 06:58:10 PM
I never thought we'd see this price range for bitbay again.  Especially on the cusp of new GUI release and with rolling peg around the corner.  Hard times in the crypto sphere but now is a good entry point imo.  I can't see bay being worth 5 cents in the long run.

Well, you have to put things in perspective. Bay was worth 2c around 1.5 years back and 0.2c around 2 years back. So we definitely have come a long way. When you compare Bitbay to its peers, you do get the feeling that it is undervalued. Coins with no real development and which have raised money through ICOs are valued ahead of Bitbay. So I think the price will correct eventually and Bitbay will again be back in the list of top 100 coins.

The peg if it works as we hope will be ground breaking and make it realistic for bitbay to really become a decentralised ebay on steroids. That's just one use case but even just that with dde will be huge and put us in the top 5 with a mobile/web version. That's just 1 use case of course so you can imagine as others get to build out on top of bay their own specific projects too.
2384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis vital? on: March 11, 2018, 06:43:38 PM
TA = hardly useful at all here

just research find real dev teams with proven track record and software that has a usecase and nearing completion.

or take your chances and try and hop from ico to ico and play the greater fools odds you'll probably lose unless you're and insider since greater fools are tired of getting burned hard.
2385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the cryptocurrency prices went down suddenly on: March 11, 2018, 06:37:44 PM
mt gox unloading 1000's of btc dumping it from 16k to 10k in a short time, caused week hands to dump their btc and it all came tumbling down

find the real projects with real dev teams and long term you have nothing to worry about

2386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the 2018 crypto crash is now like the 1990s dot com crash on: March 11, 2018, 06:33:12 PM
new project open but 99.99 % of them are shit

locate the real projects and real dev teams and you will be in the wealthy minority when the turds all fade away with their dreams and talk white papers.
2387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: March 11, 2018, 12:05:16 AM
I seriously hope we can avoid going out of the top 200. Seem unthinkable we are not in the top 50 really even now.

This influx of total shit ICO;s has drained the market of btc

Shame such a large % of new investors are so clueless and getting financially drained by projects that long term are going nowhere.

The thing is whilst these ICO's can generate huge fake caps and keep leapfrogging bay and the new investors see large caps as a reason to invest then there is essentially no limit to the ranking drop bay can suffer here.

We can only pray the dumb money is drained to the smarter hands sooner than later that will obviously either cash out  to fiat or re invest in the real projects that will have good long term prospects.

And that these ico dreams and talk schemes implode to zero asap ... although they will be cashing out the " development funding" for some time yet so have to string these poor fools on for a little longer.

True the fake ICO problem has pushed extremely well known projects like Peercoin, Counter-Party and tons of other projects. And they are even pushing projects on page two.

But the thing is, this software is needed for a lot of things including international cash for coins deals and there is no actual alternative that is secure. Especially new regulation on ICOs and money transfer will heavily favor us I think.

It doesn't matter what page we are on, I'm working on getting adoption. And we have had so many releases including new GUI. The developement is on fire with us actually. Regardless of where the price goes temporarily.

Although I agree it's totally ridiculous that this project isn't at least top 50. Anyways, we have the peg, we have people working full time on this so obviously that is a big advantage over fake projects. Fake projects won't develop anything and one day disappear and we will remain.

sometimes i feel eth was the worst thing that happened to this entire market, 99% of these ico teams couldn't even maintain a blockchain based currency on their own. Their dreams and talk based upon smart contracts ideas would be laughable from the outset then.

sooner or later even the dumbest of the dumb will come to see that these teams have no talent except marketing and that their btc will be long gone. Next time they have some btc to invest they will start to realise that they need to avoid cmc (the most dangerous site in crypto) and instead research long and hard on this board for the only REAL projects with REAL dev teams that have PROVEN they can create something of great use.

although having said all of that you can't complain at getting to suck up more bay at 600 sats. I never suspected we would see that level again.

Yes the development speed here has really picked up too and it is so strange that more people have not started talking about bitbay yet. I was being conservative with the top 50 I don't see more than a handful of other projects that could be justified to hold positions above bay really. Especially if we had a mobile fulyl featured market app we should be looking at a top 5 position really all things considered.

How do we as community members help then? I want to do everything possible to help our brand name get out there!?

discussing bitbay on this thread is useful too.

2388  Economy / Speculation / Re: PRICE DOWN???DONT PANIC SELL....!!! on: March 10, 2018, 11:34:34 PM
You may be right. We have no influence and many whales are reading here. Posts like these can boost their trust even if they think about selling.

whales like the gox scabs are the ones crushing the markets

other whales love pushing it up and down so they can make bank from weak hands
2389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ternio achieves 1,200,000 tx/s - announced during video AMA on: March 10, 2018, 11:30:26 PM
be interesting to have a top known dev look at this since others claiming such have turned out to be obfuscated centralised designs.
2390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are the cryptocurrencies crashing today? on: March 10, 2018, 11:27:32 PM
I believe mostly related to MTgox selling lots of bitcoins and causing fear that he may sell more (which you can best rest assured he will not, as the next court appointment is at the end of the year). Also, there's a meeting in the US I believe Wednesday, where they will discuss Exchange regulation and ICOs.

2391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bittrex removing trade history ?? what is their reason for this? on: March 10, 2018, 08:48:03 PM
Bittrex has been doing that for some time now. They are one of the shittiest exchanges that haven't stayed up to date with the current exchange norms. They apparently do it to prevent their servers from having to spend extra resources in looking up the trade history for a user.

that is disgraceful... every other exchange has trade history. There should be pressure to reintroduce this vital part of trading.

Also whats with the deleting the orders from the order book after a while.

these 2 things are quite annoying and detrimental to trading there.
2392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can this overtake Binance? on: March 10, 2018, 08:45:34 PM
NO but blocknet and komodo will take over in due course.

Some of the REAL developers here have high hopes for both of those
2393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / bittrex removing trade history ?? what is their reason for this? on: March 10, 2018, 09:15:54 AM
it is a pain in the ass actually......... how can we force them to bring that back? Every other exchange has trade history right there for you to look at.

2394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you believe is needed for Cryptocurrency to be mass adopted? on: March 10, 2018, 09:13:25 AM
price stability for mass use as payment option

bitbay is working on that.

2396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Simple PROOF that Bitcoin and cryptos are Ponzi schemes on: March 09, 2018, 03:37:37 PM
this ground breaking analysis is going to make a big difference.... you are the first person in over 9yrs to suggest this and give such convincing evidence.

i just sold my crypto stash

thanks for the heads up.

but i would say 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure it will not happen
