better than tether but still centralised and requires trust
not ideal but better than we have
I've been looking at other decentralised approaches that can not give such rigid price guarantees but is decentralised trustless and transparent. Bitbay is my current fav.

These kind places sound dreadful.
Everytime I hear something about these hugely populated places where the majority live in poverty you just know they will never be give a break.

stick to btc and quit worrying about this kind of shit tether?? banks LOL what is this centralised crap requiring trust and 3rd parties deciding your fate. Neither of those sounds like they have any part in an end to end decentralised trustless arena
|
|
|
totally different
especially if you are talking trading alts
there is no regulation, no way to verify there is anything behind the white paper dreams and no way to verify most devs real id, no way to know if the exchanges are in on it
It is purely a gamble.
You are trading alts you are pretty much pure gambling.

it is not possible at all to replicate Bitcoin without POW launch.
that is the only trustless way to distribute
once you pass through a period of needing trust there is no way back to being trustless
|
|

Heard about this story on reddit a while back
this has happened to a person on there since I saw binance staff answering about it
if this is the same guy who can know for sure
either way if it is true they have locked down his funds even after he has proven who he is and where they came from ( all major exchanges apparently) then that is very worrying
|
|
|
If a project can be cheated majorly in anyway it is a worthless piece of shit
Move to a project that is trustless from the outset
POW is the only way
|
|
|
can we list it on an exchange that does not require such annoying shit
how about novaexchange or something small but does work okay for those that want to trade

From Cryptopia Support: Hi muzzargh, Thank you for your response. We require a representative of the coin to contact our Coin wallets team, in regards a more in depth response. The representative can contact our coin wallets team at coinwallets@cryptopia.co.nz in regards to the details. Unfortunately the Support team only have a the basic details in regards to the coin delisting, which you have already received. Kind regards, Emily I have no established connection with Cryptopia as PHS dev. But other coin(HBN) dev have got the answer from the wallet team. They wanted 2 BTC and full KYS documents from two persons - coin dev and coin CEO or PR manager. And they still have the right to delist any coin any time due their new delisting police. I think it's not a good deal. I personly have withdrawn all coins ( not only PHS) that I had there. LOL sounds like a heist. 2btc further? after already being listed there? Just ask nova exchange i bet we can list there for a tiny amount or some other smaller more reliable exchange. Some coins have been delisted and are not even able to withdraw and are still being deleted in november that stealing isn't it?

Dear Cryptcoin Community, The delisting notice from Cryptopia was a total surprise for us. We haven't had any contact from Cryptopia with regards to the delisting nor have they provided any reasons. We have been trying to get around the matter but we have been faced with generic responses for the past few days. We are trying other avenues of communication with them and hopefully we will be able to get to the bottom of this. In the mean time, we advise you to withdraw your coins while we try and resolve this issue. Pease download the appropriate wallets for your system, secure your wallet, withdraw your coins, and help the network by staking. Everyone should be using these new wallets from now on: Links to walletswww.cryptwallet.com/downloads/cryptcoin-qt.zip win www.cryptwallet.com/downloads/cryptcoin-qt linux Source:http://github.com/new-crypt-source/2017_forkBlockchain file (use that for faster syncing)https://mega.nz/#!6uogiQ4S!gFdMFUr3RudnFh10so5UAw3pHOaUHYs2V--iERGV_e4 As what Cryptopia wrote to us CRYPT will be delisted on November 9th 2018. So please hurry up and take out your coins before that. We invite you to join us on our discord server: https://discord.gg/j9Hg2NPGet it put on novaexchange for now. Was better than cryptopia before it closed down anyway. they have no traffic so should be practically free to get it listed as long as you help them. I think they will grow again once they have been back a while.

I do not believe you would find 1 good airdrop from 100.
You may be lucky to find 1 good airdrop from 10 000
You may also make better use of your time by enjoying your life instead of putting yourselves through all the hopes and shattered dreams.
POW is the only way to distribute tokens/coins

Thanks for the heads up about discord
However I think it is not great to move away from this thread it makes the project appear dead to those coming here to look for good projects

Hi all. We have a very busy week ahead so I just wanted to let you know what we have planned... Early next week we are aiming to release the Android app and web wallet upgrades so we'll be testing these two thoroughly this week. Both wallets will be using our new custom block processor meaning faster transactions and more reliable balance reporting. We are also planning to release the live wallet feature and a new light theme for the web marketplace demo. If you are a demo tester then we’ll let you know more about this in Slack. And finally we will be updating the desktop client and Qt wallets this week with some new features in preparation for the next phase of dynamic peg testing. Any questions, feel free to ask here and thanks as always for your continued support Shorn, Project Manager Great news! Also great that Bay is now on Blockfolio, keep the signals coming! Just bought up a few million more, most promising project out there that will actually work as designed. A few million more?? Is that for real? Also agree lots of great news coming out. One thing I have noticed is I am getting a blackcoin alert message flashing in the bitbay wallet? is this meant to happen? Have i got some older bugged qt running? or will all pos3 based coins have this flashing? Actually I had bought a little bit more too a while back. Even though this is the worst bear market in altcoin history. They say the best time to buy is when there is blood in the streets. Also "Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when they are greedy." The QT message is because we all share the Blackcoin alert key. Rat4 is doing another project and I'm assuming he has probably accidentally signaled 100s of different coins by doing that. We did change the alert key at my github but I'm not home to build the new QT. Yshurik I think maybe was building it and we will push an update. However it is nothing to worry about as it only is for in wallet messages. Well I couldn't agree more about this being the best buy out there. But grabbing a few million more is quite a bit. I wish I had the free capital to grab in bunches of millions. Good to hear though I'm sure bay this cheap is going to been seen as a once in a lifetime opportunity in the future. Thanks for reply about the QT.

Just a quick question.
If you withdraw dnotes from the vault to your local wallet how long does it usually take? more than 1 hour?
Hi cryptohunter, 24-48 hours for a withdrawal to be released from the DNotesVault. In some cases additional verification maybe be required, which can extend that timeframe. The DNotesVault was created for long term storage with the highest level of protection, which makes the process take longer than something like an exchange that uses hot wallets for instant transfer. We use a cold storage process along with manual review to help ensure the safety of your account and security of your coins. For smaller amounts or quick access to your coins, we recommend our electrum (lite wallet) or full qt wallet. I understand for security reasons for sure.. Yes I had just moved them there to make sure they were swapped to dnotes2 I was just getting around to setting up a dnotes2 full node to stake them so will need to withdraw them from the vault. Thanks for answer I will know to wait 24-48 hours in future.

Coinbook Updatehttps://twitter.com/coinbook_com/status/1052571335610707970NovaExchange UpdateThey have added a DOGE Market for Bullion As promised, here is the new deposits opening this week. Things are falling into place over here quite quick now, soon the puzzle that is Nova Standard Crypto Exchange is done and we open for new registrations. And then, NEW assets will be listed! Stay with us for that. Excellent news - well done team. I think coinbook will turn out to be quite a large exchange in the future. They certainly seem to have the legal side of things covered not many US exchanges get a direct fiat exchange like this. Someone has been accumulating an nice amount of cbx over the last couple of months too.
