1681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UNICEF is now accepting donations in Bitcoin and 8 altcoins on: September 22, 2018, 07:33:09 PM
I am following in Unicef's footsteps and actually out doing them. I accept donations in all alt coins in the top 200 cmc (except xrp)

Contact for donation addresses.
1682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bill Gate against investing into bitcoin? on: September 22, 2018, 07:28:33 PM
bill who?

Bezos said he is soon going all in on btc.

Only 100B + net worth individuals opinions hold sway on this forum.

Peasants make all kinds of strange claims that they can't substantiate.
1683  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you Think the True Value of Bitcoin Is? on: September 22, 2018, 07:22:32 PM
I would say considering the adoption and recognition of bitcoin right now it should be around 50k usd.

The sensible potential for bitcoin when mass adoption and investment kicks in should be way way higher.

We will wait and see if and when that happens of course.

1684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another December Bull run on: September 22, 2018, 07:16:33 PM
I don't think it is coming for a while.

Certainly at some point btc will be worth 100k or greater but I think there will be no huge bull runs for quite some time.

Most (99%) ICO's from 2017 are never going to have another bull run. They were merely ways to extract btc from the noobs.

1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The digital currency market is recovering on: September 22, 2018, 07:07:56 PM
Nobody really knows where most of the alts are heading.
Bitcoin is constantly gaining traction and recognition.

There are a few great alt projects (mostly not in the top 50) that could be set to make huge gains but most 2017 icos will more than likely never be making a return from where they are now and probably sinking further .
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bullion (CBX) 'the Digital Precious Metal' | 2018 Roadmap published on: September 22, 2018, 06:50:49 PM
Are there any plans of increased marketing of the coin in the upcoming months? I feel like this coin is very under the radar currently.

I'm guessing the ideal time for a super push for this project will be after successful MN release and listing on coinbook.

So if things go well then 5 weeks for MN and not sure about coinbook right now since I've not heard if they have all their ducks in line yet.
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do traders pay income taxes? on: September 22, 2018, 12:33:36 PM
all move to denmark there are no taxes on crypto

or if you are amateur just gambling on shitcoins with no training and just guessing if they will go up or down it will be gambling and again zero tax for some countries like uk and others.

1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason for Ripple 40% increase? My Opinion on: September 22, 2018, 12:28:27 PM
Because one of the most promising crypto currency is Ripple. It still holds the second place for all financial indicators. After the most popular crypto currency in the world - bitcoin. The volume of Ripple's capitalization is two billion US dollars. This proves that Ripple's crypto currency is trusted today by users of the network, consider it promising and reliable.

If i could demerit you I surely would.

obviously market cap figures mean very little when a currency is so centralised

1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will all ecr20 tokens follow ethereum? on: September 22, 2018, 12:17:44 PM
99% of erc tokens will die along the way because most have teams with no talent nor even real desire to succeed once all the dev money is used up on alcohol smack and hookers with the odd lambo and penthouse thrown in

eth will survive and eventually find real use cases that get adopted
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Struggle between Ethereum and Ripple on: September 22, 2018, 12:15:27 PM
only complete noobs even care about coinmarket cap ratings for centralised shit like xrp that can be boosted at any time

xrp is not comparable to real crypto projects like btc or eth

1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP: The Only Limit Is Our Imagination on: September 22, 2018, 12:11:21 PM
Ripple is a centralized shitcoin designed by the bankers to infiltrate the crypto space. I'm not a fan of it ans will never be. I don't care the gains gotten from it either.

People have grown very strongly in the last 24 hours. I still don't understand who bought 90 cents. After all, it was obvious that he would go to the correction after such a growth

People are always going to buy the top expecting it to continue flying, remember its ATH is about $3 if my memory serves me right. Don't forget people bought BTC at $20k thinking it was going to continue to rise in price.

Good Lord, I thought we'd killed that misinformation.  So are you blindly repeating what somebody (who you incorrectly regarded as trustworthy) told you?  The truth is easily available for you - and others interested in actual facts instead of slogans - to access:
https://fudbingo.com/

centralised dirt not to be compared to decentralised trustless crypto projects.

/thread.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you name or list Altcoin worth to HODL. on: September 22, 2018, 12:08:18 PM
Look for old teams with real projects with real use cases that are finished or almost finished ... that obviously can design and code.

bitbay
blocknet
byteball

komodo
sys
ltc
eth
doge
pivx

also very low caps with teams that are proven to keep working away

several
1693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: September 21, 2018, 02:46:13 PM
Kucoin Rejected BitBay Listing saying such lame reasons.

Image link not valid

"So I hear @kucoincom turned down Bitbay due2 them not having 'strong enough roadmap & tech'"

LOL

Please David call their devs forth for a public comparison to the other coins they list there.

Personally I don't trust many of these type exchanges

So now unless you have some new hyped up new consensus mechanism that is probably more centralised and less secure than what we have then you have no tech. Or just write some nonsense white paper that sounds smart to them and off you go.

Then again that exchange could be a worry right now until things are clearer there.

No huge loss

So long as we have bittrex and upbit that's a good start and perhaps all we need.
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: September 21, 2018, 02:39:03 PM
I notice a couple of projects are now able to demonstrate some kind of solar powered radio transmission for their blockchains

eventually hoping to null the need for the internet and grid bound electricity.

I think this is something that would totally be something david would be interested in for bitbay.

Of course radio transmissions require license in many duristictions

mesh networks are the next step i guess in the decentralisation process

radio is cool too though

I know david has mentioned these things before and now net neutrality looks to be under attack this could be just the time to start looking at this.

Absolutely I love the idea of mesh. I think we should be 3d printing these things. And I think radio should be encrypted even though the military is against encrypted radio the air waves should be free. Long range radio can go several miles. If balloons are used I'm pretty sure it can go even further. Maybe even something similar to skywave can go further. This type of tech might even be able to get around IP address issues.

Totally agree. Can't wait for this to take off.

If they could be 3d printed off cheaply enough and fully solar powered then they could soon be developed and deployed in numbers for it to work nicely.

1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The first BURST tx using RADIO was done. This is BIG NEWS on: September 19, 2018, 04:24:58 PM
Interesting and certainly a move in the right direction.
Blockchains functioning without the need of the internet (via isp) nor electricity (grid supplied) is great.

I expect the without grid supplied electricity would be a better fit for pos but still good so see burst pushing in this direction too.

1697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feel like quitting on: September 19, 2018, 04:12:43 PM
Can someone help me on what strategy I will do to get some merit points?

~Learn more about the Merit system. Go to Merit & new rank requirements to find out the basic information about it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0.

~Analyze the previous discussion about how to get Merit. Get the points "what people suggest to get Merit with effective way".
Example previous discussion related to "how to get Merit":
1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2867871.0
2. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3133045.0
3. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2855955.0
4. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2861268.0
5. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2828892.0

~Learn more about cryptocurrency and bitcointalk forum as a whole. You will get benefits if you can master it. At least, you can easier to make a useful thread and comment (reply) with a better way.

I suggest you to stop complain. You need to improve your capability and knowledge. However, the Merit system should not be a reason to make you quit. Don't be lazy, we must be smarter now.

~I think this question should be on Meta section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0~

how to do when the market price is low?

~Analyze what coins that are possible to survive and develop later. If you have money, you can buy the coins that meet the criteria I said before.
~Don't sell your coins with very low prices. Just hold them during the decline cycle.
~Keep calm and don't be panic.

Want merit just hop over to meta and start back slapping and getting into some team and hop in on their arguments in threads there with supporting statements you just mix up from what has already been posted . I notice all those with buckets of merit are all big meta section posters that are either helpful or just part of some clique.

On the other hand ..forget rank and merit and just focus on

1. finding scams and highlighting them
2. finding genuinely interesting and valuable projects and highlighting them.
3. help others in ways that you can.

In the end 0.001% of this board understands the tech and designs at a level that can be useful to evaluate their true worth ... so probably just focus on preventing the vast array of scams that put off 99.99% of people because they lose money via such schemes.

1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency is fastest way to get rich ? on: September 19, 2018, 01:00:20 AM
fastest way to get poor for the majority

only those that can find the crypto gems or those that are happy to hodl btc will get rich at some point.

finding crypto gems now is not as easy as it once was.
