I've taken a couple month break since the mtgox meeting from looking at anything mtgox. I guess the aim of the legal group is to get bitcoin paid out as bitcoin? or is it to just make sure all surplus goes to the creditors?
The most important thing is to try and get our fair share of what they're calling 'the surplus'. The lawyers will be reporting back to the group on Tuesday, 7th November after doing a couple of weeks research on the case. We would also like payment in Bitcoin but that's a minor point compared to giving all that money to Mark Karpeles instead of the claimants. Right now they plan on paying us $480 / 50,000 JPY per Bitcoin claimed based on the Bitcoin price in 2014. Now I understand they're not doing this for free,but to give us 480 each seems very unfair . Mathematically, can everyone who had a valid and approved claim recieve lost btc ,coin for coin and dollar for dollar? Are there enough ? The surplus, does that include bitcoin cash ,bitcoin gold as well as the difference in price from 2014 to present day ,all 3 ? I understand the lawyers want to get paid like the rest of us but to "bend us over " this is like mtgox 2.0  Once we figure out the lawyers fees and such ,they should be paid by the claimants ( us ) plus some of our btc cash (10%) as a sign of good faith . I just hope this gets resolved and claimants get their BTC and fiat back, respectively . It is MtGox 2, all initial claims were valued at about $500 Million, the Bitcoin alone are currently worth $1,500 Million, and that's before you add in other things like BCH. So there is a court in Japan which is planning on giving the surplus to the MtGox shareholders. Yes, that's right : The Japanese Govenrment is planning to give Mark Karpeles, the guy who is responsible for this whole mess the vast majority of $1 Billion as confirmed at the Septemeber creditors meeting and they don't seem to give a fuck about what we think. This is why the mtgoxlegal.com group has hired lawyers as we intend to change this bullshit. when you use an unlicensed exchanger you should take all these risks. so, chill and walk away with your loss. are you not a libertarian who do not trust the gov/justice and so on? why are you looking for their help now? |

I saw how some exchanges started trading Bitcoin Gold before the fork occurred. I do not understand how this can be. During the wolf, my coins were on the stock exchange and I hope to receive Bitcoin Gold on November 1 What you have seen at some exchanges is BTG Futures trading. The ONLY thing anyone is able to do right now is trade Bitcoin Gold on exchanges that support it. You will not be able to mine, send or receive Bitcoin Gold until the mainnet is actually created. What trading future? Based on what? Bitfinex generated digits on screen and sold them.  |

Many of our users are asking about fiduciary funds that should have been transferred to the BTC-e exchange through a payment service provider Moneypolo. This is a legally complex issue and we -- WEX -- are not BTC-e proprietors. WEX bought out the user base, for this reason we count on your understanding and cooperation.
The question about bank transactions worries not only you but some other users too. We have referred to lawyers who responded that only the payment agent notifies its users about the flow of their funds, you have the right to request detailed information about the account and the bank where you money was transferred attested by the payment agent. Any payment service provider should be answerable before the user for the flow of their funds.

On my opinion i think it is impossible that another crypto currency will replaced Bitcoin because base on my study if we replaced the Mother of all currency were just coming back to basic its just like we broke the civilization of the currency.
before BTC, it existed other e-currencies. BTC will be "gone"(worth almost zero) in few years maybe sooner. It will be replaced with something else. |

I have 115k USD wire transfer deposit to BTC-E succesful 23 & 25-Jul-2017. After BTC-E die and WEX recreated, my money not refund to my account bank wire, not credit to WEX.
Answer my tickets:
. WEX does NOT want to refund FIAT holders. WEX is saying to FIAT holders ask to MAYZUS FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED to send the money back.
. MAYZUS FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED is saying to FIAT holders the money was transferred to BTC-e account, then they cannot send the money back.
I continue create another ticket on WEX & MONEYPOLO BUT NO ONE ANSWER ME.
100% of my BTC-e balance is currently loss.
I continue to contact my bank for refund procedures and contact Singapore Police to sue the BTCE, WEX, MONEYPOLO company with the authorities.

What's going on?
We were not able to withraw US dollars from Bitfinex throughout the past few month, also if we were Germans or Swiss.
Is this issue in the menatime solved? Can we now again withraw dollars from Bitfinex?
Bitfinex is a criminal company and their bank accounts were closed. Of course , they opened another one but it's mainly used for their pockets and some "special" clients. They are using a shell company for that. Bitfinex will never open new bank accounts for its clients because they are banned of the banking system due to their illegal activities. Stay away of them! |

I've seen him actively attacking Btc-e when it got taken over by the FBI. I don't know if he is still active in the threads about WEX (the successor to Btc-e), but now he is posting crap about Bitfinex. It would be interesting to see what Bitcoin exchange he doesn't try to defame, and thus we could trace the roots and source of his hatred (you know what I mean). When I asked him about that, he said that he was just selflessly warning people (or something to that tune), though the way he was talking to people who lost money at Btc-e left me feeling very dubious and suspicious about his real intents Defamation is something else. All the exchangers without financial license, are illegal. Period. They are plague, a cancer and this industry cannot evolve because of them. Bitfinex is one of these plagues. Once Coinbase, Bitstamp, Gemini, Itbit took their licenses, I didn't say any word against them. This is the way that you should sustain. Now, you support criminal companies like Bitfinex, Kraken, Poloniex, etc (without financial license). You have to realize that by supporting these shit companies, you make a disservice to you too. The funding engine continues to have errors. Notably when you issue an auto renew, it doesn't always execute. You can have money sitting around for a day (or who knows how long - as I manually re-issue the offers to fix it). The funding engine has never worked perfectly since April 2011. I file about three support tickets per year regarding ongoing funding engine issues.
I haven't examined funding interest, but it is interesting that two parts of the engine appear to be buggy.

People must be twisted to actually want themselves to get verified at WEX ~ I would never trust this exchange with any type of verification after everything that happened, with also the US authorities in mind. If people are desperately looking to cash out funds for whatever reason, at least make sure you verify yourself at an exchange that is exempt from any type of bad news ~ Bitstamp is a great exchange, and Gemini as well. Not sure why people keep focusing on WEX with so many far better alternative options available. because most of these people are scammers, fraudsters, hackers, links to black market, HYIPs and so on...and YES, there are MANY IDIOTS too the shits from Exmo, sorry from BTC-e gave them "back" less than half of their funds and the sheep are happy. they didn't ask their self : "how do I know that 45% is missing? should I have to believe a gang from Russia who laundered money for all the hackers and for all the black market? why 45% and not 44% or 46%?
