241  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: April 28, 2024, 06:46:39 AM
How do you sort this list?
The order comes from my complete overview of users on DT1 and DT2 and their ratings: first DT1, then DT2. Both categories are sorted by username.

You mean usernumber.  Smiley   OK, I see it now, thx.
242  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seeking Innovators: Developers and Marketers on: April 28, 2024, 05:14:31 AM
You are right, it would be a good practice to renew domain ownership for 10 years in advance, but on the other hand, if the project makes a profit within the first year, which at least pays for the costs of maintaining the project, then why should it stop working? If within a year we are unable to recoup the project at least for its maintenance, then most likely a. the project is not relevant at all, b. project management leaves much to be desired - which already makes it pointless in terms of profitability, no?

Exactly.  So anyone that purchases now may lose their money come registration time.

You could include a smart contract for payment, which pays you you over a set number of years.    If your site continues, you will get paid, but if it doesn't, the remainder gets sent back.
243  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seeking Innovators: Developers and Marketers on: April 28, 2024, 03:33:05 AM
You should register the domain for ten years then - you cannot get that money back by cancelling early, so it provides a little more protection.

Right now if you have not made enough money and your launch fails, you will simply not renew the domain - why throw good money after bad?
244  Economy / Reputation / Re: BitcoinGirl.Club: How a condescending attitude equates to trust exclusion on: April 28, 2024, 12:33:49 AM
Sorry about that. A username change messed up my script, and needed manual attention.

You need to change to UID to identify a user.  Some idiots like Tradefortress used to play around with usernames to break BPIP.
245  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seeking Innovators: Developers and Marketers on: April 28, 2024, 12:23:36 AM
The guarantee that we will not turn off the project is that our site provides the opportunity not only to buy an area on the grid for advertising or posting your content for entertainment purposes, but also the opportunity to sell your area to other users or rent it out

That is not a guarantee.  Smiley

Do you have the funds to run the site for years if you get no sales at all?

246  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: April 27, 2024, 10:22:20 PM
Isn't it sorted by account number/UID?

Obviously it is not, at least not at the start.

(I use the word obviously cause I just watched the movie 'The Platform')
247  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seeking Innovators: Developers and Marketers on: April 27, 2024, 10:20:53 PM
We see these fly by night Million Dollar clones every couple months.   After we have paid for lifetime advertising, how do we know you won't just shut down?
248  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: April 27, 2024, 07:40:27 PM
Apologies if you mentioned this somewhere before.   How do you sort this list?
249  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A fully decentralized marketplace on: April 26, 2024, 06:09:11 PM
All that would be required to interact would be to know the 42 contract's address characters...

That is a technical issue that has prevented thousands of people from using bitcoin.  A long stream of characters can scare anybody.
Allow users to create "nicknames" for their contracts.   So I can say use contract Vod24 instead of xxx....  Remove case sensitivity if you can.  (VOD and Vod identical)
You obviously can reuse old names after a period of time.
250  Economy / Lending / Re: [WANT] 6000 USDC Secured Loan on: April 26, 2024, 05:26:52 PM
But I doubt a smart contract will work here since the collateral needs to be put at stop-limit order in able to secure the amount of collateral to 110% price margin.

The contract holding the collateral until the borrower receives funds is all you need.   If the borrower agrees with your plan, neither of you needs any more protection.
251  Other / Off-topic / Re: A VENT on: April 26, 2024, 12:51:06 AM
Why do some people have such a lack of understanding of others?

People tend to see the tresspasses of others more serious than their own.   You don't want to hear their noise so you force them to hear your noise.   In return, they will feel the same way and escalate.

Try a loud white noise generator instead of music.   Run it during the allowed noise hours constantly.   You'll drown it out quickly, and it may encourage them to be more quiet.  If not, and they call the police, the law will be on your side - much more than if you were retaliating with music.
252  Economy / Lending / Re: [WANT] 6000 USDC Secured Loan on: April 25, 2024, 08:35:36 PM
OP - I suggest you set up a smart contract for this.  You sending $9000 to Eternad is risky, since he has little history and a lot of gambling posts.

Escrows on here charge expensive fees for what a smart contract does automatically, and often the escrow provides no additional protection at all.

Good luck!  Smiley
253  Economy / Lending / Re: NO LONGER NEEDED - Small ($10) loan until the 1st on: April 25, 2024, 08:28:37 PM
almost have enough to pay my phone bill, just 10 bucks short.

Not sure where you live, but most companies accept a payment arrangement if you are going to be a few days late, and it won't affect your credit with them.   And the interest fee they charge is usually only a few dollars - less than the transaction/gas fee.   Wink
254  Other / Meta / Re: Topics on reputation board should not have lock feature on: April 25, 2024, 04:51:32 PM
I do not see why an exception should be made for that. A parallel thread can be created to discuss what was said in the locked thread, and in fact, it already happened, in the thread that JollyGood created about Bitcoingirl.club.

Agreed - it has been that way for a decade, although it was most used during the Lauda era.

Maybe a Playboy subscription in exchange for not Xtweeting anything for, lets say 48 hours?

He probably already has a digital subscription to every dirty magazine.  Smiley
256  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A fully decentralized marketplace on: April 25, 2024, 03:24:07 PM
If the goods and services you sell in this market are legal, then what is the reason for making it decentralized? I can understand decentralization in mixers and services that may need to enhance privacy, but purchasing goods and products may be linked to knowing the buyer’s address, which makes it difficult to provide a service of a privacy nature. The market can be implemented for digital products not physical goods.

You can meet in a public place to exchange goods - no one needs to know your address.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Receiving bitcoin donations through my website on: April 25, 2024, 03:08:56 AM
I don't want to mix up my KYC and non-KYC coins.

Why?  If you only want to pay taxes on KYC coins, that would be illegal.  Since this is not a darkweb pirate-type forum, giving you direction could incriminate us with whatever you do.
258  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How do you know which companies to trust? Help us build a product around trust on: April 24, 2024, 11:35:04 PM
The irony here.  Smiley

OP wants to build transparency and trust.  Yet he ignores our attempts to help.      Why won't he list the name of the company he was a PM for?  Was he terminated, did the company go bankrupt, or is he simply lying?
Poor start to his community reputation, esp with that username.   Wink
259  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mining 0.02$ on: April 24, 2024, 11:30:01 PM
Dear forum friends, I do not need funds from you for life and I do not need equipment just like that! I am looking for business associates, not in my personal name, but for a company to which I am ready to attach my personal property in the form of real estate and capital with cash as a guarantee on my part!  If there are people who want to invest. This is my truth, who is interested-welcome!

Can you please tell us the city this company is located in, and the name of it?
260  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which game did you like the most after playing it? on: April 24, 2024, 10:22:05 PM
Empire Earth

One of the original real time strategy games, like Warcraft or Age of Empires.

I remember being shocked the first time one of units fell dead from an invisible sniper.  I yelled "WTF" the first time I saw a tank roll over a hill.

Empire Earth II was released a few years later but it had strayed off it's original idea.
