ahh man I know right? anyway, what miner is this? seems like one of the 17 series from Bitmain, judging from the single line of the kernel log you posted (which is called the system log on BO+) it seems like you have a faulty chip which is very, very, very common with all of these gears, and the issue is usually a hardware related, i.e the chip is dead and needs replacement With that being said, please post more info regarding the miner as well as the complete "system logs".

Is that the complete kernel logs? I can't seem to find any issue on the kernel logs. That isn't even the kernel log you are expecting, funny enough most firmware except for Bitmain call the kernel logs "the one we call Kernel logs" other names, like miner log, syslog, system log and etc.

Hey I would be interested in locating one, or some PSU.
https://t.me/minerexpertsales, they will be your best option in terms of availability, I could name a few more Chinese resellers, but miner expert is the best for small orders, the rest expect to deal with other resellers, try to contact Grace, if another employee answers you, tell them you want to talk to Grace, he will probably help you locate them even if she doesn't have them in stock. With that being said, deal with them at your own risk, I have personally dealt with grace so many times starting from maybe 2017 IIRC.

That is a nice catch indeed, you got us in the right direction, but I have my doubts about the end result. We know from Poolin that this "Taurus" miner is 62th and 3200w, the Cheeta F5-66T you posted is 66TH and 2800w, which is a lot more effienct, however, I found this cheetah Miner F5i-60T which is a lot closer to the specs of "Tarus", both miners look physically identical, I believe someone took the cheetah miner, slightly overclocked it and rebranded it. You did the OP a huge favor, he has a lot more chances in getting the firmware from Cheetah as opposed to that unknown "Taurus" miner.

Will a can of compressed air do the cleaning trick without having to turn the miner off?
That'll help with keeping the miner from running that hot by clearing the fan airways.
I'd say no chance in hell, you need to shut-down the miner before cleaning, when you want to clean the miner, you want to blow from the opposite direction (out > in) since most things that got stuck would have exited if there was enough room/pressure, also you don't want to force spin the fans - you can easily break them, you want to make sure you hold them while blowing so they don't spin. With that being said, this will only work for the regular dry dust and assuming you give them a good dusting every now and then, but once you leave them be for a long time then things will be sticky, you will need to take the hash boards out and either use a very strong air compressor (of course, not using a can) or using a brush, in fact, depending on the climate, some wet places gets the wet-dust like mud to stick on those heatsinks, it will be very difficult to get it off using just air and a brush is a must.

It could be a faulty control board, or a bad PSU, nobody here has a crystal ball, you need to provide more details, since you flashed the miner with different firmware it means you have access to the miner's GUI, get us the kernel log ( it could be called syslog or systemlog on your miner), also post a screenshot of your pool/worker details, you can hide any sensitive data if you wish.

Basically, the difference in performance between Bitmain firmware version is almost nothing, I believe all firmware starting from 2018 and later support overt asic boost, that's the only feature that is really worth changing the firmware for because it saves up to 20% of the power consumption.
I also like the multi-option firmware as it gives you the ability to underclock/overclock your miner ( I am mainly interested in the former), sometimes you run into cooling issues or you have a very hot day or for whatever reason you just want the miner to run cooler and/or consume less energy, the multi-option firmware is great for that, but if your farm is in a passive state and everything from electricity to cooling is under control, you will do just fine with whatever firmware you got there.

I think that the model has never appeared here at Bitcointalk.
Even google doesn't have any info related to this brand, it was only mentioned once on Poolin, so it's possible that Poolin modified one of Bitmain/Inno mining gears and gave it a different name like everyone else does? OP, since there is no Taurus miner manufacturer - then it's almost guaranteed that you have a known miner which has been rebranded, if you provide more details such as clear photos, the login page, and every detail you can possibly think of, we might be able to identify what brand is that and that will solve most of the issues you have. Also, try these combinations: User:root Pass:root
User:admin Pass:root
user:admin pass:admin
user:root pass:innot1t2
user:root pass:t1t2t3a5

as you see two is NCT218 and one is TMP451 , should be similar ? there is any different if all be NCT218 or all be TMP451 ?
I think your Chain 2 came from a different miner because I have not seen a different sensor on the same miner, both sensors do the same thing but they differ a bit in specs such as the voltage range, I would advise against using different ones. Also keep in mind that the majority of the time, a temp-sensor error in the kernel log isn't really the result of a bad sensor but rather an issue with one of the chips, it's safe to assume that at least 8 out of 10 times a temp sensor-error is the result of a bad chip, so make sure you check the chips before replacing the sensor.

Awesome Miner recently stopped showing wallet balances. I was using the " https://blockchain.info/en/balance" API. Is anyone else having issues getting their bitcoin balances at all? I have been using AM for a few years now, never really used the wallet balance feature at all, anyway, you will have a lot more chances in getting the answer in a speedy manner by posting in AM own thread, or if you want, you could contact Patrike directly.

I am new to this forum and Bitcoin mining as well. Currently looking for someone or persons that has a farm(Mining rig) in Nigeria. The person can email or PM me. Thanks. PS: Not a scammer.
As far as I know, the Nigerian government is anti-crypto and mining is illegal there, it's very unlikely that anyone here will contact you even if they were secretly mining bitcoin, it would be in their best interest not to expose themselves to a random stranger they meet online, at the same time, you should also be careful because you may be contacted by scammers, the mining industry is very risky.

File System Version Tue Jul 30 20:37:39 CST 2019
It isn't much you can do about this version, you will need to make that 20 miles trip, so make sure you get comfortable, also if you don't want to drive twice, make sure you take a working Sdcard with you, the smallest size you have, it's very common for some of those Sdcards not to work for flashing these miners, there are no known/simple to explain reasons for that, but sometimes you need to try a few Sdcards to get one that actually works, and then you want to tag that card and make sure you keep it in a safe place.

nice empty block there.... over 60k txns in mempool and you do an empty block. way to go.
Poolin, Are you going to pretend like this question was never asked? why does Poolin mine empty blocks when the mempool is not empty?

I believe NiceHash firmware is a rebrand of HiveOS, not the best firmware out there, I would personally stay away from it. However, if you really need custom firmware because you really need to underclock/tune your miners for whatever reason, then, try BraiinOS (the free old version) if you think that isn't good enough then try Vnish.to, don't attempt to search for that firmware online because there are many fake versions, either get it from AwesomeMiner or Asic.to.
With that being said, if you don't plan on underclocking/overclocking your miner and you don't need SSH access and all those stuff, the best option would be the stock firmware from Bitmain, it's free, you pay no fee and it does the job just fine for the average miner.

Hey guys I'm new here but have lurked the pages a while. Did a search and just can't find help for my problem. I just bought a used ebang ebit9+.
This model isn't very popular, throughout my years of mining bitcoin, I have only seen the name maybe two or three times, so the odds of you finding a solution here or elsewhere are pretty slim, you should either contact ebang or return the miner. The problem you are describing seems like a bad firmware/control board, it's pretty hard to troubleshoot with the amount of info you provided, what do you mean by "it won't connect" does it show connection refused or the page was not found or what do you see exactly? also what happens when to ping the miner?

Since this is BTC only, I assume you are talking about ASIC miners noise, while I do like the topic and I do think that to some degree that loud noise can be reduced, I would advise against mining for anyone that thinks the noise is an issue, if you have to worry about the noise then you will cripple your "racing horse", people have no idea how tight profits in mining are, they google the "revenue for x miner" and expect things to work so great, which is not how it works, I am pretty sure the majority of small miners end up losing money, I believe most of us here agree to that.
Buying a mining gear at a reasonable price is no longer an option, adding an extra cost for cooling and then sound suppression materials will simply shift the odds against you even further, you want to keep your business cost as low as possible if you want to stand a chance of making a profit on your investment.

I'm not a miner, but u r ignoring the fact that Btc price is almost double or even triple it's price in the previous epoch
Are you for real? how is that correct? you either don't know what difficulty epoch is or you are looking at the wrong price chart.

But he would have had a chance, not a profitable one but he might be lucky enough to find some blocks assuming he can get 1k brand new s19pro
Yup actually 1k S19 pro will find a block every 10 days on average and will cost a modest 13M $ in cash. With newbies that ask this kind of question I'm more concerned they will fall for some fake gear scam rather than wasting one month of electricity solo mining Honestly, the amount of scam in this industry is beyond imagination, I just saw someone selling T9s claiming they can do 14TH, and he wanted the price of S9 for those gears, I spend a few minutes trying to explain to him that his gear is 9TH and can't do 14TH with air cooling, hardly doable even with liquid cooling, but he insisted that 14th = 14th, the crazy part is some people were defending him telling me the same thing. Based on that logic I can sell my S9s at the price of S15 since they can "in theory" do 20TH, it's very sad that some people are too lazy to search the internet when it's free, and takes 2 minutes to know the facts.

It's funny how everybody thinks the drop in hashrate has anything to do with the "China banning bitcoin" fud that has been going on since 2017, yet, you chose to ignore the fact that mining this epoch is 50% less profitable than the previous one. if BTC goes back to the 50-60 range we will start seeing new ATH in terms of the total hashrate, so no, the Chinese are not going to stop mining bitcoin, all the news you read is FAKE, in fact, it's more likely than not that the majority of hashrate drop came from countries other than China.

Hi!
Where can I see the complete list?
Thank you!
The first post on the first page I am under the impression that he means the complete the list of Myrig repair centers, they do state the following countries on their website (U.S, Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Japan) but no address are available. With that being said, please make sure you double-check the address with any repair service before sending the gear to them, just to avoid losing the gears forever or face some delays in the best-case scenario.
