2441  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Advice] Don't associate yourself with projects you're not a team member. on: April 18, 2019, 01:02:07 PM
Lower ranked members tend to follow their rules blindly because of the payment they are expecting to receive. Requirements such as bumping the thread and spamming it is one of them. Aside from that when the service is busted in being a scam they are also the last ones not to remove it as what only matters is their campaign is not "officially" ended yet. For stubborn newbie I do think they deserve to have the negative feedback they will receive as they tend to risk other members from what they are advertising by not removing it.
2442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gate.io now requires KYC? on: April 18, 2019, 11:34:26 AM
Contrary to the popular opinion of other people I think that instead of use getting frustrated with KYCs being implemented by the use of their services I do think that we should be happy about it. Knowing that they are complying with the law and is not violating it gives me a peace of mind that they should be trusted with our money. Your problem right now shouldn't even be a problem as you could easily get other government ids in your country, thwy might have required those ids as its the only thing accepted by their country right now.
2443  Other / Meta / Re: Random merit giveaway threads. What do you think about them? on: April 18, 2019, 09:05:03 AM
You don't really expect shitty members receiving merits on opening up their own merit giveaway thread it's just that other members know that these members have opened up their own merit giveaway thread to receive merits in return. Trust me is that obvious as you will see the difference in quality of their giveaway threads compared to the ones created by known members.
2444  Other / Off-topic / Re: [GUIDE] Using bookmark tool in Chrome to mark bitcointalk topics/ posts on: April 17, 2019, 10:29:04 PM
For people thinking that Chrome is the only one with bookmark organization in their browser you should be relieve because for Firefox users your browser has a similar feature even Macbook users have it om their Safari. This only shows that Bookmarking isn't new and it has been used a lot for diffent purposes related to remembering certain pages/articles. You should know the importance of Bookmarking since a lot of important guides and topics in the forum tends to get lost in the pages when the time passes by on no one is posting, even searching the particular topic in Google won't help most of the time if you don't know what to start searching with.
2445  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BestRate WooCommerce plugin for crypto and card payments on: April 17, 2019, 09:03:44 PM

Thank you for pointing this out. FAQ is a bit outdated, we would need to correct it. Technically, we have the ability to perform crypto exchanges at 100+ exchanges, depending on the coin, liquidity, etc. No KYC is required as for now for the merchant, only domain verification inside the BestRate's personal cabinet.
So are you saying that only you will be the one required to have KYC on all of the exchange platforms you will be using? Just by the sound of it you might be doing things illegally as youbare somehow running an illegal exchange. Unlike Coinbase and Bitpay where they'll be the ones handling the exchange you will be converting the money from other services for other people and ot might not be a good idea. It's best for your business to be your own exchange in thos situation and user's might not like the idea that you aren't liquid enough to handle withdrawals on your own.
2446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whales are back ? on: April 17, 2019, 07:51:14 PM
The volume increasing doesn't show any actual evidence that it is coming from the whales, it only means that due to a bigger price action we are seeing the number of trades have increased tremendously during the time which in turn had increased the volume, and even that doesn't show any proof that the whales are one trading. And whales right now won't be really the one pushing back up the prices since they are the ones who have bought BTC back at the bottom which they usually do.
2447  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-17] Expectations and reality: economic benefits of Bitcoin on: April 17, 2019, 06:22:47 PM
Sadly the article only focused more on Bitcoin being accepted as a mode of payment which doesn't really focuses on Bitcon helping the economy of the country. If the article really build around their headline they should have focused on their bit about trading or in other ways of earning it instead of ways on paying it. The article didn't really add much to what we already know and they just added up a lot of different products without coming to the point of their headline. Don't waste your time with this article.
2448  Economy / Economics / Re: Terrifying $243 Trillion Global Debt Bomb is a Disaster Only Bitcoin Can Fix on: April 17, 2019, 01:30:11 PM
You the problem here is when we are talking about global debt we are talking about the governments of countries who owed them and thinking that they will be betting big in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency is a ridiculous thing to imagine as the risk for the solution is considerably high compared to the nornal investments the government is used to doing. Next time you provide an article made it at least believable on our part as this article is only a waste of time.
2449  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Indian regulators have procrastination? The cryptocurrency ban has not lifted on: April 16, 2019, 07:38:31 PM
And just when you though them having a crypto committee would shed some light on their situation. Well to tell you the truth as long as that committee is lead or somehow supervised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) seeing their cryptocurrency ban lifted is entirely possible because they themselves are the ones who have banned it in the first place. If they want something clean then they must create a independent committee which is not influenced by either the RBI or their supreme court as we all know the previous decisions they have done.
2450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Tom Lee v. Bear Tone Vays on: April 16, 2019, 06:02:26 PM
I'm not siding on anyone here since by doing that it would only cloud my judgement on the current situation of Bitcoin, for me Bitcoin is neither in a Bullish nor Bear market because right now I still consider it consolidating on a wider range compared to before. The only thing that would confirm Bitcoin going back to a bull run is when it has really started going back up above at 7,500$ at least which we are still far from. The only good thing I see is BTC has been picking up the face and going above slowly.
2451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 15, 2019, 08:12:19 PM
Surely Detroit Pistons won't be winning this round much more with Blake Griffin out of the first round due to a sore left knee. Milwaukee Bucks would surely destroy this team even with a complete and healthy team much more without their star player in the lineup. With the Bucks showing how good they are in the first game compared to the Pistons you know they wouldn't stand a chance against them. Milwaukee will be advancing in the 2nd round early as most likely they will sweep if not win the round by game number 5.
2452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can you trace a person if he received coins on a Blockchain mobile wallet? on: April 15, 2019, 07:00:43 PM
If you are talking about pinpointing the user's exact location or something I doubt it won't be possible if you aren't tracking them like what the authority's do. Sometimes one transaction isn't enough to know their exact location that is why it is being constantly monitored by the authorities on where he uses it and do background checks to the other end, this is where the user is get caught. If you are talking about hypotheticals here you shouldn't be worried about it that much if you aren't doing illegal or shady stuff with your Bitcoin.
2453  Other / Meta / Re: Isn't this copy-paste? [plagiarism] [user=yogg] on: April 15, 2019, 04:20:34 PM
Excited to read responses!
I guessed that your excitement ran out when no one has sided with your accusation/argument. Obviously the only reason why you have posted this is you wanted yogg to be permabanned in the forum which you have not got. If you only know the basic grounds for plagiarism are you wouldn't look stupid just by posting this now.
2454  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex Trading or Binary Option? on: April 14, 2019, 06:18:08 PM
I've already tried Binary trading but I lose my money in just an hour.
What kind of trading are you in? And what would you prefer?
Dude if you have lost money right away it doesn't mean you need to change another market to earn. It only means are unprepared to enter a market and you need to learn before you even started betting on your money. The investment markets doesn't worked that way that if you lose money you will find another market, its simply a stupid thing just to say you are giving up already. I wouldn't even advise you to enter another market because you aren't really prepared to be in one right now.
2455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn Bitcoins in a crippled country? on: April 14, 2019, 05:14:59 PM
If cryptocurrency trading and exchanges aren't allowed in your country I advise you not to do anything about it because legally there will be no loopholes for you to do it. If they find out that you have a strange activity in your computer related to crypto trading then I'm afraid that the authorities won't take anytime just to arrest you. I'm surprised that Bitcointalk is even allowed in your country if what you are talking about them banning crypto related websites is real. It's either you follow the law or use a paid VPN to bypass their restrictions, you should keep in mind that using VPNs won't guarantee that you aren't untraceable on their part.
2456  Economy / Economics / Re: More formal blockchain education needed in the Philippines on: April 14, 2019, 03:36:56 PM
Just by seeing that the news is about Atene De Manila Univesity (ADMU) offering a blockchain related course as an elective shows that we are still far from seeing it be offered for the masses. ADMU is one of the most known private universities in the Philippines and seeing that it started on one of the top schools shows no interest for the government to start it offering to public schools. This kind of education being offered to the masses would only be available depending on how the crypto industry will be successful in the Philippines.
2457  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-13] Familiar Bitcoin Scam Defrauds Dutch Investors of $1.9 Million... on: April 13, 2019, 09:09:07 PM
These HYIPs' success always lies to the ones who are referring it to other people and there is no doubt it had claimed a lot of victims in Netherlands because of how it gets free marketing from this fools. The victims are also partly at fault here on losing their own money from such obvious scams, they always see the "gains" but not the truth about it being an obvious fake. It doesn't matter how much celebrities you put in it or how big the potential returns are if you know its too good to be true you should step back from it as fast as you can.
2458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining viruses on: April 13, 2019, 07:10:30 PM
Did you notice that your laptop is getting warm just by doing regular browser things? One thing to notice if there are any malware in your device is if it goes particularly hot even if you are only running normal task such as browsing or watching a movie. If the fan is still running after you have checked that your laptop is clean from any type of malware and have updated all the necessary drivers I guessed that the problem only lies with the hardware itself.
2459  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Transfering bitcoin to another person account on coinbase tax question on: April 13, 2019, 05:37:19 PM
If that amount isn't considerably big then I don't think you need to go all the hassle just to make things work legally. Coinbase to coinbase transfers also happen off the chain which means there will be no record of it in the blockchain happening. If you still insist you need to document the point in time on where your family member have liquidated it and mark the present market value at that time, you need to support it with screenshots of the transactions so that if they asked for one you are prepared to hand it out.
2460  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BTC worth $1M confiscated in Canada ruling on: April 11, 2019, 08:44:18 PM
Only proves that bitcoin is not that anonymous as everyone has thought it to be in its early years. The guy uses it to buy guns in the darkweb and he thought the can get away with it. Unfortunately, many undercover authorities are also roaming the darkweb that's why he was caught. I wonder though was going to happen to his bitcoin, perhaps the government of Canada will auction it.
I like to point out that this dude got caught not because of the Bitcoin payment (the article didn't even confirm if he paid in Bitcoin) he made but because he was buying a gun from the authority that he later on gave his address for the delivery of the gun (which was really a flare gun Tongue ) which has led to the authorities on finding out his drug stash. I will say that this guy isn't really post as a buyer but a supplier of drugs in the dark web that is why they have confiscated a lot of Bitcoins from him.
