2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to manage losses? on: August 31, 2021, 05:28:49 AM
how do you manage stress if you loss biggest amount because the value of your token is hitting down or NFT project is not ok?
in your opinion how diversify your investment in other alts to cope up your losses?

It all comes down to set your expectations properly when you invest into something and especially if you invest into cryptos because the volatility is extremely high here. Like your example with NFT projects, just because NFTs seem to be the next big thing does not mean that every NFT related project will do well. I would even say quite the opposite will be true. There are so many NFT projects coming out now, that only a fraction of them will be really successful in the end.
2462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to move medical records to blockchain? on: August 30, 2021, 07:09:25 PM
What do you think about moving medical records to blockchain? I read an article about this recently, it would be interesting to read your opinion

If i remember correctly there already was a medical related blockchain project that launched or at least wanted to launch back in 2018 or so and in the meantime i would guess that many more of such projects have tried the same but i don't really know if anyone of them or how many of them were successful in the end. For me it could definitely make sense to store medical data on the blockchain because this way a patient can be sure that it can not be altered by anyone. I also think though that there are still many doubts and concerns of patients that don't really know about blockchain technology and therefore don't want that their data is stored there.
2463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Affiliates (Paid Streamers) - Fair or Not to other non-paid gamblers? on: August 30, 2021, 03:24:30 PM
So, we know there are a lot of people out there, that are getting money from casinos to gamble and to Stream that online. It is no secret and widely known and a lot of discussion is currently happening, since Twitch has clamped down on some of them.

https://www.wired.com/story/twitch-streamers-crypto-gambling-boom/

https://logincasino.org/article/how-much-do-twitch-streamers-make-on-casino-partnerships65068.html  <== Top Streamers make from $100 000 pm.

Now the question is this.... If Casino's give a lot of money to certain people to gamble and Slots are based on a combined "Pool" of money to make up the RTP for an individual Slot... are other non-paid gamblers not competing for wins against the "House"?

When you gamble on say, "Fruit Party" and your bets goes into a "Pool" for someone to win big, are you not funding the big wins seen on these Slots by gamblers that are being paid to play? (What risk do they have, if they play with the casinos money?)

Syztmz (Streamer not using Affiliate money) had a heated discussion on his last Stream about him having to compete with his own money, against Affiliate Streamers that are using Casino money. ( I think he lost something like $100 000 on his last 13 hour stream session )

So what do you think...? Is this fair or not... let's make this a good discussion. (Ps... I merit people for constructive posting)  Wink

The topic that big streamers on twitch are sponsored heavily by big online casinos if they stream a certain amount of time during their twitch stream and also post videos of their biggest winnings afterwards on their youtube channel isn't new. In June a big twich streamer named adin ross made a mistake and showed a discord chat on stream where it is obvious that he was offered nearly 2M $ for a month from a casino if he plays on their site. He rejected that offer because another platform made an even bigger offer.
see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BE-XJqQS0A
So we are dealing with really crazy high numbers here. Of course it those paid streamer have the biggest chance to win in one of those pool-based games, but that is just how it is.
Celebrities that have millions of dollars and could easily afford any luxury watch that they like get them for free.
2464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to measure blockchain decentralization? on: August 30, 2021, 02:55:04 PM
Dear Bitcointalk forum community,
I want you to share your thoughts on the following questions of the hour:
1) What is blockchain decentralization for you? How do you understand this concept?
2) How to measure blockchain decentralization? What is a fair way to measure decentralization of different blockchain protocols?
3) What blockchain protocol represented on Coinmarketcap is the most decentralized one at this moment? Who are underdogs of this nomination?
Everyone is welcome to share his or her opinion.

For me a blockchain is really decentralized when the by far biggest majority of the coins is distributed amongst as many holders as possible, because if there are a few wallets that hold a huge amount of coins then they have the Power to manipulate the blockchain. They could for example manage that a block that is actually invalid geht's still validated and therefore accepted by the blockchain consensus. How to measure the decentralisation is also pretty easy. Just look at the top wallets and how many coins they own.
2465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's wrong with uniswap? on: August 30, 2021, 06:50:35 AM
recently uniswap reported about the fee on 27/8/2021 with a fantastic fee price, because many altcoins use uniswap swaps, What do you think?

The prices for transactions on the eth chain are just way to high at the moment again. We are seeing higher gas prices now for almost  a month again and i just hope we don't reach the gas fees again that we saw during the altcoin bullrun back in May this year. Uniswap is a great platform which totally which totally changed the way that New projects can access the market. They can simply list themself on uniswap and don't have to pay huge amounts of money to get listed on a centralized exchange.

Manchester City actually can make a serious offer for Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski if they want to do so. But surprisingly, they have given up on finding a top striker for now. They are still doing awesome like this also. But after PSG got Messi and Manchester United got Ronaldo, I would expect them to make a big transfer also.
I do not think that City should be looking for Lewa right now, he is way too old to change teams. Don't get me wrong he is a marvelous player and he definitely makes each team he is in a better team and he is would score bunch of goals in City as well if he leaves. However Bayern would not be willing to lose a player like him and that is why they will overcharge for his fee and City would have to pay too much for a player at that age, he is good now but how many years will he be good for, that is something they should consider.

I definitely agree with you here that ManCity should net spend a big amount of money (transfer fee + salary) on lewandowski even if he is playing extremely well at the moment. He is 32 years old and he maybe is still in his prime right now but this can change pretty quickly in football. That's also why i don't understand why everyone is celebrating the tranfer from Barcelona to PSG as a big success for Paris. Messi is great don't get me wrong but he is even older than lewandowski and i doubt that PSG is stronger now than last year just because of him. And don't even get me started with the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo (36 years old already) to Manchester United.

This was the "most beautiful" race to watch.I waited like an idiot for 3 or more hours and they came just now to the conclusion that the race will not resume. What a shame for FIA for not racing in the most beautiful circuit of all the calendar, while the conditions were not the best surely they were race conditions.I guess I am not watching the upcoming races at all,as who knows they may suspend them all for just some rain happening.

That definitely was weird to watch today and also not not really a highlight of the FIA and it's communication and handling of the situation today. I understand that they tried as much as possible to make the race happen today because there is a huge effort in terms of costs and logistics involved to not race today but maybe in the next few days. I also think that the race would have started today if lando norris would have not crashed yesterday, because of that everyone was looking at the FIA today. Just imagine the race would have started during the heavy rain and then a crash happens that would have lead to an injury or worse. The 2 lap race behind the safety car just to let the race count was a total joke though.

Very good performance from Verstappen and Russel in very difficult conditions, if that's not a recommendation for the Mercedes team then what is? The air for Bottas is getting thinner in any case, or does Hamilton not want Russel in the team, so Hamilton doesn't have it so easy anymore and his teammate doesn't drive for him?

I definitely think that Hamilton would be much happier with a teammate like bottas who can, on a perfect day, place on position 2 behind hamilton and therefore helps him to win the championship even earlier. Hamilton also knows that Bottas will probably never be able to really give hamilton a fight for the championship, so i would say Bottas is the perfect teammate for him. I also suspect that Mercedes is pretty happy with how things are going with Hamilton + Bottas and they will definitely think twice before they bring in a Driver that is just as good or even better than hamilton. The title fight between Rosberg and Hamilton was very intense, especially for the mercedes team.
2469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 28, 2021, 06:39:30 PM
Looks like that all teams have done there homework , Freiburg has won again there match !
Cologne , Mainz and Leverkusen also won , only Frankfurt played a draw against Bielefeld , thought they win that.
Bayern Munich already has 3 Goals scored against Union Berlin , so far it was a nice Weekend and the bets.

The match of Bayern Munich vs Hertha Berlin is over now and in the end Bayern won that match with 5-0 goals. Hertha had a big chance to score right at the beginning of the match and maybe if Selke would have scored their the match would have had a different course but he missed and from that point on it was total dominance of bayern munich. I am happy for Sane that he made this nice assist to lewandowski for the 4-0 as i think he does not deserve to get booed by the supporters of his own club.
Stuttgart vs. Freiburg was also an interesting game. The first half was extremely exciting with 5 goals scored and chance to probably score even 5 goals more and then in the second half it was kinda boring sadly but Freiburg managed to control the game and win it in the end.
2470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas Fee Of BNB Is Increasing on: August 28, 2021, 06:35:59 PM
All eyes are on the BNB due to the increase in Ethereum's gas fee. Thinking about the beginning, it can be understood that the BNB's gas free is increasing day by day. Although I don't know the exact reason behind it, the curiosity is there.

It's just a development that is to be expected i guess. First Ethereum gas fees were extremely high then the binance smart chain was introduced and quickly became more and more popular because there the transactions were almost instant and the transaction fee were only a few cents compared to 20 dollars on the ethereum network. Because of that a lot project switched from Ethereum to BSC and new projects decided to choose BSC instead of ETH as their blockchain ecosystem. Now that more and more projects are on the BSC it becomes obvious that the binance smart chain is also not Infinitely scalable and you can already see the effects of the increasing numbers of transactions on the BSC.
2471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 27, 2021, 11:41:18 PM

It was a really good game.First half so many chances but no goals, but in the second half we have seen 5 goals and Dortmund winning the match in the last minutes. 3-2 for Dortmund in the end with Halland winning the game for them, amazing game to watch as expected.

Erling Haaland scores every match, who would like to sell him for any money? Borussia Dortmund should keep him no matter what it costs but there is too much speculation around him. Jude Bellingham showed today again he is the next best thing in Dortmund. Youssoufa Moukoko played only in last minutes but I expect him to play more next games.
Hoffenheim invested too much money but something is missing in their team, maybe team chemistry maybe lack of management I don't know. Don't be too hopeful about Hoffenheim at their current vision.

That was a really exciting match to watch and it could have also easily ended in a draw as Hoffenheim scored the equalizer in the very last minute of the regular playtime and, at least for me, that goal was also deserved at that moment. Afterwards Dortmund managed to score again in the overtime and to win the game. Looking at the statistics of the match Dortmund leads in basically every category and has more than twice as much shots on the goal then hoffenheim so i would say the win was lucky because it happened at the very last moment but also well deserved for dortmund if we look at the complete match.
2472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoping to see a bitcointalk token sooner on: August 27, 2021, 11:36:47 PM
This is the birthplace of crypto and many people learnt alot from here. is it not fair for this platform to get a token that can be traded in the market. other content management platform has then own crypto that are been traded and use as a means of rewards to their users.
please don't say bitcoin. currently, not everyone can afford bitcoin now. we need an altcoin as an alternative token here for payment of service.

Why would we need a token as a own payment of service? As far as i know the only thing that you can buy on this forum are the copper member ranks and some ad space. I don't really think this is enough to justify the generation of an own token. I mean a token is generated pretty quickly nowadays but if there are not enough use cases for that token i don't see it survive very long, everyone could just go and create an bitcointalk token on ETH, BSC or waves or whereever they like that would be not the problem. The hard part is to create a ecosystem for this token in order to make sure that this token will be actively needed and therefore also traded. A dead token that no one uses isn't benefiting anyone.
2473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 27, 2021, 03:54:06 PM

We'll see how Juventus and Ronaldo's decision, next season Ronaldo is a free transfer, selling him now for 25 million euros is good enough even though it's not as expensive as when Juve bought him. If CR7 returns to Manchester United, maybe this will be his last club until he retires, by sharing sweet memories for the club who makes him become star players. Speculation does not want to return to Manchester United because Olle, may soon get an answer.

That he now may join manchester united instead of manchester city is really a turn of events here. I watched a transfer update show on the sports news channel a few hours ago and back then they said it is almost certain that Ronaldo will join manchester city, because his agent is already in Paris to talk with the officials of ManCity. I guess we have to wait for the first official statement from the club where he is moving to, to be really sure where he will play in the coming season. For me it would be weird if he would play for Pep Guardiola now as Pep was always the biggest fan and supporter of Ronaldos greatest Rival, Lionel Messi.
2474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest more than you can afford to lose? on: August 27, 2021, 03:45:48 PM
Some people said that 'Don't invest more than you can afford to lose.'
Do you agree?

Of course i agree with that statement and i highly doubt that only some people say that i would imagine that every sane person would act according to this statement not only in crypto but with investments in general. I think though that especially in the cryptospace you should only invest money that you not only can afford to lose but that you can afford to lose without having any impact on your daily life. Crypto is so volatile and so full of scams and hacks that it is not that unlikely, especially for someone that is completely new to crypto, that all of your funds are lost because the project you invested in made a rugpull or you shared your private keys or the exchange where you had your coins got hacked.
2475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 27, 2021, 08:07:37 AM
Real is really serious to prove to Mbappe that they do want him Grin
Insane offer, almost 200 million euros for a player that they can get for free in a year. If PSG accepts this deal, they will lose one of the best players in the world but will still be incredibly strong and with a lot of cash to spend. It would not surprise me if they went to get Haaland immediately after.

Now I feel it's likely that the deal goes through, who would have expected this silliness from Real Grin
Yes, it is a huge nonsense to give that kind of money for Mbappe. Moreover, Bale and Rodrigo play in his position in Real Madrid. The right thing to do would be to buy it next season when Bale leaves. But Peres needs a star and he doesn't care where and instead of whom Mbappe will play.

Florentino Perez is and has always been known for wanting to sign big and glamorous names for Real Madrid at all costs, whether it makes sporting and financial sense or not. So he would actually be a good fit for Paris Saint Germain  Smiley. If I remember correctly, Madrid has almost always been in debt when Perez was the president of the club, so far it has always worked out somehow because the value of the squad was high enough to cover the debt, at least in theory. When Perez was not president between the years of 2006 until 2009 Madrid acted in a more financially responsible way and players like higuain and gago where their biggest stars in that years.
2476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake token in wallet on: August 27, 2021, 08:00:13 AM
Many people are currently losing some tokens from their wallets or unknowingly getting stuck in another wallet. Have we ever wondered why this is happening from someone's wallet? The main reason is hack. Hackers are banging the tokens through their surveillance. Any small amount or big. If you ever notice some tokens in your wallet that are being added without your knowledge.I'm going to swap or sell your token without thinking about where the token came from. Never do that. Because hackers put their tokens in your wallet and when you go to swap or sell the token without seeing the token, hackers like the token. Remove from your wallet. Some tokens that you will never swap or sell-

Is there any way to remove these tokens from the wallet?

I also have a some of those tokens from your list in my wallet and i was already wondering where they are coming from. I also heard stories recently from users that said they wanted to sell one of those coins on pancake swap and then somehow other legit coins from their wallet also disappeared or where sent somewhere else even though the user never sent them himself. I don't know if that is true or theoretically possible but i could imagine if you interact with one of those coins on pancakeswap for example that it also gets control over your wallet because your wallet has to be connected in order to be able to trade on pancakeswap.
2477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 61 year old plays the same numbers since 1991 and wins 18 millions on: August 26, 2021, 02:31:46 PM
On one of those things that we all wished happened to us, a 61 year old man that has been playing the same numbers for 30 years finally won the lottery and won 18.41 million dollars, he explains that each time he placed the bet he thought about changing the numbers but he decided against doing so each time, there is no explanation of where the numbers come from but I suppose they must mean something, otherwise it would be difficult to believe he could keep playing the same numbers over and over again.

Would you be able to do it? Playing the same numbers over and over again like this? Because I know that I will not have the patience to do this during 30 years.

https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/michigan/2021/08/25/michigan-lottery-man-who-played-same-numbers-since-1991-wins-18m-jackpot/

I really like this story and i think it is cool that he sticked to his favorite numbers for such a long time and that he was rewarded for that finally, even though i am pretty sure that he would have wished to win the lottery while he was still young. He is still not that old though and has still plenty of time to spend that 18 Million $ and maybe it is even better for him that he did not win this huge amount of money when he was still a young man because he probably would have spent all of it already by now for fast cars and jewelry. I have not played lottery for a long time but back then when i did i always picked different numbers. I don't really think that it your chances are changing whether or not you are playing with the same numbers all the time or stay with the same ones.
2478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 26, 2021, 07:46:06 AM
It was just a training match for Bayern Munich it looks like , but 12 Goals thats a little bit to much and maybe gets into the History of the Club.

For Bayern it was a good opportunity to let other players play. But 12 goals are already a lot. But I expected that. I haven't found any historical results now, but I think that Bayern has often scored a lot of goals in the DFB Pokal when they played against teams from the lower leagues.

If i remember correctly than the commentator said that this was only the 3rd or 4th time ever that bayern scored 10 or more goals in a DFB Cup match, so even for Bayern standards this was an outstanding match yesterday. I also have to say though that the opponents made it pretty easy for Bayern because they played to offensive in my opinion. It happened a lot of times that bayern had a 2 vs. 2 or even a 3 vs. 2 situation in the offense after Bremer SV lost the ball and i think that as a underdog you should play it more safely because otherwise results like yesterday happen. For us as spectators it was nice to watch though and i won't complain.  Smiley
2479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 26, 2021, 07:42:05 AM
What's going with gas fees? After the London fork, the gas fees only went up. They raised gas limit, and the blocks are half empty, even 5% - 15% filled, but gas fees are through the roof! It's not about limited capacity right now, yet it's very expensive. What is reason for that?

And what is minimum gasused multiplier?

The topic with the high gas fees on the ethereum network is probably the most discussed one here on this forum as almost everyday there is a new thread opened with this issue. Since the DeFi Hype began it became obvious that ETH in it's current version is very limited in terms of transactions per second and DeFi is creating a huge amount of transactions because for every DeFi related action there is at least 1 transaction needed and in many cases more than one. The london fork really did not have any positive impact on the Gas prices so far but we also keep in mind that this was just one update on the way to ETH 2.0. Once the full transistion to PoS happened and the Gas prices are still high than there really is a reason to worry.
2480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoins Be Cashed? on: August 25, 2021, 01:27:12 PM
Bitcoin is a digital currency that circulates freely, without any control or supervision from banks, governments, or anyone else. In contrast, bitcoin relies solely on cryptography and software between computers.

what if the government closes or does not allow the exchange of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies with the official currency in each country?  Huh

As far as i know there are already some countries out there that have laws in place to prevent their people from trading cryptos or using them as a payment. Such laws seem like a huge obstacle for people in that countries that want to trade cryptos and pay with them but in reality i think that such laws are almost impossible to control. You can always use a VPN to access crypto exchanges and then you are free to trade cryptos there and there are also still a lot of exchanges out there that allow trading without the necessity of a KYC check. It is still a nuisance if you want to cash out your profits that you made with cryptos. The way around that is more complicated i would guess.
