The question is growing up on what money the company will exist? This test will cost money, and the investor has the right to request that the ICO pass this test or, ideally, all ICO projects should pass this test without fail.

Test, even I was interested in having such thing involved with the use of an Authority to take on these ICOs and do a thorough check before allowing investors to put their money in, but now I know that greed is something that can buy anything (even a human's integrity) so believing anybody isn't worth it but doing a deep research before putting in your money into a project is what you need to do till such Authority ever exists (and even if these big guys give a "Yes" to a few trustworthy-looking projects, nobody can guarantee that they will not run away with your money or keep up their words in long term).

i'd feel much more comfortable investing in an SEC-registered company than a "crypto anti-scam rubber stamping" company.

Even people from SEC Commission maybe involved in few of these ICO scams and who knows who ate how much bribery to get in? There's nobody trustworthy for such purposes and I've understood it well and that's why this (Bitcoin) system is made trust-less to do everything without the involvement of anybody.

Probably an identity thief or collateral scammer.
Or just another idiot who keeps straying away from the reality every day. You know, people think they can just make statements like

Quote
I have had alots of experience in minning bitcoins and has been one of the top and greatest investor in now in the history of bitcoins minning
and expect the masses to believe it. Not sure about the greatest investor but he is nowhere near to the greatest scammer either.

Still, easy for newbies and helpless people to fall for this as he's trying something new like trying to fame up his image in front of everyone by saying he's one of the so-called greatest miners and investors in the history of Bitcoins. Vod told it true that he might ask for your KYC details first in lieu of the greed that he had born in your brains about lending you his BTC. Don't SELL your identity at any cost, or it may cost you your everything and might even end you up in jail for his deeds if he ever misuses your identity.

2485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockchain now just a word to joke upon? on: November 16, 2018, 04:54:54 PM
That's actually another thing that I noticed concerning crypto-startups and new ventures: using the overhyped word blockchain in order to get a huge heap of funding from investors. In reality, these startups and companies introducing a new 'platform' in the competitive market doesn't really bring that much to the table, just calling an already-existing solution some fancy wording to get the interest of the masses. While I do think the blockchain tech has a lot in store for our future society, the companies aren't just doing their jobs pretty well, and the tendency is that they use the word only to fail ultimately in the end.

That's pretty stupid how they're not only using the word just to add a lot of buzz and to be seen on top of search engines because it has currently become a trend, but also adding failure to their own names and smearing mud over the complete technology that's out of the box off the limitations they put it in and show that they will end up disrupting a specific industry, whereas to what I've seen till date, most of these ^platforms^ are no different than deflorating the whole tech by either running away with people's money or by not going through the pattern (and in most cases, the whole pattern is worthless only).

2487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is blockchain now just a word to joke upon? on: November 16, 2018, 02:23:14 PM
https://qz.com/india/1466311/modi-jokes-about-blockchain-at-singapore-fintech-festival/amp/

PM of India (where I live) cracked a joke over blockchain saying, "I have heard of an advice going around in startup circles. To increase your venture capital or VC funding by 10%, tell the investors you run a “platform,” not a regular business. If you want to increase your VC funding by 20%, tell the investors that you are operating in the “fintech space.” But, if you really want the investors to empty their pockets, tell them that you are using 'blockchain.'" Do you think that the start-ups that are using the word "blockchain" just to add more credibility to their crowdfunding campaigns as well as the project, are worth our actual hard-earned money? Many of these start-ups have failed to "disrupt" the mentioned specific categories in their whitepaper(s) and I guess most of these tokens will fall flat (freely) and tied to grounds we can't even imagine, once the investors start to spin out their money off such concepts.

2489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Stop of BTC.....5000$ on: November 15, 2018, 03:47:09 PM
Zoom in in the latest weeks and I do not see anything out of the ordinary, in fact Bitcoin hashrate keeps going up as usual.

Yes I know that now, and I've already apologized for this in my message here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5069265.msg47927152#msg47927152

Quote
DO you mean the rumors of Bitmain allocating hashrate out of BTC into BCHABC could be causing this price speculation? it's possible.

Yes it is, because the war is being spread wisely through words only, but due to them playing hard over these debates, they're trying hard to influence the crypto audience as well as miners to get them their sides each, this is stressing out real hard and due to talks getting stretched to personal levels, this is not going to be easy this time and we're to fight it out with ourselves only to keep the value where we want it. Whether BCH or BTC, we don't want to get the values thrown down to dirt levels because that will only affect the whole crypto market cap to drop down hard, don't you think so?
2490  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your greatest trading regret? on: November 15, 2018, 03:37:35 PM
Bought Pundi X at just 1700 Gwei, had a chance to hodl with more than 3 million coins but sold them off at 8000 Gwei, then bought back ~900k NPXS back at 12000 Gwei, had a great chance to sell during fomo that happened due to Binance listing news and value went up to more than 36000 Gwei, but I held the coins and after Binance listing, the price of Pundi X went down gradually and I sold off at 43 sats there, that's the worst decision I've ever taken. Greed is man's biggest enemy, so don't you ever take it with you while you trade/gamble.
2491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Stop of BTC.....5000$ on: November 15, 2018, 01:54:22 PM
Due to the mining wars that have started and the hash rate of Bitcoin is dropping down gradually after BCH seeing an instant spike on the hard fork news, I believe it's a matter of concern and it (the dump) will now only cool down once BTC proves to be the winner again in this controversial debate. Though, wait for December to come, and then see.
Perhaps a good idea to fact check what you read? Bitcoin's hashrate didn't drop at all, it just fluctuated as it has been doing for a while now;

https://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/bitcoin-network-hashrate-chart

Yeah, sorry about that. I should have checked things before posting, but it was like I got swayed away in the words too much that I forgot to write about price that fell down, instead of the hash rate.

Quote
It was BCash hashrate that dropped significantly as seen here in this chart;

https://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/bitcoincash-network-hashrate-chart

Yeah, it was probably due to CSW's tweet that threatened every single miner except JihanWu that they shouldn't switch their machines to BCH or he might need to switch as well with the help of USD by dumping his BTC for the same. These clowns are trying their best to dupe in people making them lose by selling under panic attacks. I don't know why, but I feel the timing of this dump was so concrete it might have helped many big investors got their buys attacked and got BTC bought for such cheap rates after a long stable period of $6200 levels.

Quote
People give CSW too much credit for all his deeds, while the main contributor, especially in financial terms, is an asshole named Calvin Ayre. Don't fear those who are barking in front of your face, fear those who lay low and let their sockpuppets do the dirty work.

Positive aspect of the price fall is that when Bakkt is allowed to push its futures market live, there'll be a heck lot more demand now.

True, Ayre is playing behind the scenes and I only saw what's being shown in front of my eyes but didn't see what's cooking underground.
2492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Craig Wright, Roger Ver and others on the btc price crash on: November 15, 2018, 01:12:13 PM
No, this guy doesn't really have the power to dump down Bitcoins to that level, but after seeing this dump, I can say that he can definitely dump our brains into selling off our coins dirt cheap by believing that he is Satoshi and that he could actually plunge down BTC to 2014 levels. It's just that this guy is trying to stop miners to switch from BTC main chain (his SV concept) to Roger Ver's BCH after hard fork, but he should literally understand that miners have their own voluntary choices and they can decide which chain is more profitable as well as more smoother to process the transactions.*

* - By saying this, I'm not supporting BCH mining or chain at all, it's just what I feel that this should not go personal because if it does, then we can't really call it as something decentralized. I call for #RealSatoshi to show up and take control so as to revive the hope among the community that nobody here can control the Bitcoin market and that there can't be such damned manipulation.
2493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BEST TELEGRAM SIGNAL CHANNELS on: November 15, 2018, 08:19:17 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm curious about that which vip - premium telegram signal channels are most accurate that gives most successful signals

Blockchain Whispers is all I'm following currently because the guy just doesn't share signals with you, but also gives a lot of trading knowledge as well that helps you understand what's cooking in the markets as well as the minds of those big-fat-wallets' owners.

Quote
(more than %90 success rate for example) ?

None in this world could be that accurate who would give you guaranteed signals with your expected (90%) rate, but this guy gives you a good idea on whether you should enter the trade or not based on your portfolio and many other things considered.

Quote
Also which of them have best price/performance level ?

You need not to pay anything and follow his free channel only as he is such a big-hearted personality who gives many signals (with their reasons as to why they should be bought) for free. Premium costs ~BTC0.15 for a month and if you buy it currently, they won't put you out till BTC goes $10k or if you make at least double the amount you invested in them.

Quote
And lastly which bots can we use for telegram signals (It uses telegram signals [TP levels and SL] automaticaly also has trailing stoploss etc.. )

You're given TP and SL, but the only thing is you'll need to manually add/update them on whichever exchange you trade. I'm afraid I forgot the link he gave us for a bot which could do the job for you, once I find it I'll surely update it here. Smiley
2494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Stop of BTC.....5000$ on: November 15, 2018, 08:02:26 AM
This is all being done by those very supporters of BCH before the hard fork, I've read an article over this here: https://www.livemint.com/Money/R7zsFnlAt4QnOv4UCet6QI/Satoshi-vs-Bitcoin-Jesus-Bitcoin-Cash-battle-turns-persona.html where everything looks to be explained perfectly as to what's affecting the markets so badly.
2495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fear about merits. on: November 12, 2018, 12:32:53 PM
Everyone here focuses too much on the expected results (merits) instead of doing what it needs to get them. Seriously, you're being misled by others that it's damn hard to earn them, instead it's just like you do what you do best - like showing some art, giving some quality services, adding something interesting to the discussion or starting an interesting discussion yourself.
OP think this way because he had already earned merits. The OP posting skill is good and that is why earning merit is not that difficult whereas to the likes of us that are struggling posting good post might be a real problem. The good advise here is to learn more in the forum. Yes, we learn and gain knowledge. We do our best but our best may consider as low quality to others. Knowledge is foundation to this but sadly we could not blame ourselves for having low IQ.

A bit sad to say this, but seriously, how easy was it for you to say that line.  Cry
On other hand, it's quite good that you are aware of how you will be able to earn them, getting off the correct path isn't going to get anybody anything and even crying and thinking they would get merited on each of their post is like trying hard thinking you might win a jackpot each time you roll in a casino. Yes, it's true that you are not the one to be blamed, and I believe it's the time for us to make a specific thread that would prove to be an institutional one for anyone from newbies to mid-level members for them to learn more about the most interesting topics, after which they will be able to post something extra contributing to the forum and no need will be there for blames. The only thing is, we need to keep that thread active and "stickied" if possible for everyone (especially newbies) to see it on the top every time they visit the forum.

2497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fear about merits. on: November 11, 2018, 12:43:11 PM
Right now merits is as difficult as mining bitcoin or gold here, Everyone is scrambling for it and it seems the difficulty level is building up as the days unfold. However, I want to implore high rank members to issue it out where it is deserving as some people go as far as selling it.

It's actually the responsibility of people who go ahead and buy merits, that once they get caught, getting red tagged will be the last option they'll be left out with. You should have the sense not to buy those merits on sale because those merits are worth nothing as you've not worked for them and paying and getting a degree of anything is worth nothing because you don't have the knowledge that it needs for you to be able to pursue the real life job.
2498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best paid signal groups on: November 09, 2018, 11:54:32 PM
Below is a quote from a different thread where OP of that thread asked the same question:

I'm part of a very big group of traders, or should I say a set of traders coming in different categories - from small sized traders to big giant whales and there's literally no pump-and-dump supported therein - it's Blockchain Whispers Baby. Founder of BW, D Man posts some of the most knowledgeable content in his articles as well as their telegram and you can learn a lot instead of just hearing out for those signals whereas most of the groups just share signals and in reasons, they just give the specified coins' events (news) that are going to happen. Give this website a read and I'm damn sure you won't leave without buying their premium (if your portfolio is above 1 BTC), else checking some of the most accurate Bitmex signals on their signal page (navigate through website's menu) and watch for the articles as there are many hidden signals as well.

With this answer, I'd like to give 2 of their recent signals that have the potential to do a 5x and 20x = Sharder and Quant. Go find them and invest. One of my friends were in their free group where D Man shared his first 20x coin - Pundi X for free and my friend told me to invest in it. I bought it at just 210 sats, it's good to buy coins with huge potential in early days.
2499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when bitcoin becomes stable? on: November 09, 2018, 11:43:40 PM
The price of bitcoin has not shown any significant rise or drop for almost two months now.

If you're interested in getting an answer to this, post it in the Speculation board.

Quote
What do you think could be the cause.

Both the sides are playing hard and trying to gain on each other as shorts are also in the game after futures came into existence.

Quote
Or do you think at long last bitcoin is going to be stable.

No, it won't, because anything that's based on speculation either moves up or down at specific periods and fundamentals haven't shown any signs of recovery (no important events took place) and only negativity (FUD) was being spread amongst the whole environment due to which Bitcoin was unable to break the resistances to move upwards.
