1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to survive if you lose more than 80% of your Capital? on: February 25, 2020, 11:28:55 PM
Survival is not a big deal if you've lost what you "then invested that you could" afford to lose, but if not, then your survival IRL could have been a lot more struggling than you'd have had if you'd have brought your money out at the right time. Survival in crypto was something I couldn't get, I mean in what reference or regards have you said that? Leave the past and focus on the present, invest in IEOs which were launched at Binance exchange and hodl till BTC halving and see the magic.
1762  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which VPN to pick? on: February 25, 2020, 11:14:17 PM
I'd prefer to go with HotSpot Shield by AnchorFree as I've been using it since last 3 years and had no problems in getting latest proxies every single time I switched the VPN on. It has 2 types - Free and Premium where Premium costs you $12 monthly and around $96 yearly.
1763  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk is racist on: February 25, 2020, 10:57:26 PM
Cruptotalk is not the only forum who pays users for posting. I was invited recently to moderate a local board in one of them but i left it because the admins think it's a good method to invite more users but ignore that the forum will dead once stop paying.
I can guess that cryptotalk is not about to fight spammers, but just reduce the amount to pay for users as the forum got a lot of traffic from bitcointalk and may has more users than we think.

To what I see, Yobit is exhausted now and not able to pay their users anymore. Trust me, this thought came to my mind just when I started thinking about their marketing strategy - they come, they spread spam, they leave. This time, they didn't get the chance here, they stopped the campaign here on this forum (or maybe they were exhausted as the funds would have been over, they already gave signals while not paying for around 2-3 weeks 2 times). They kept their cryptotalk campaign active in their forum to keep that place active, they wanted to stand as a competitor against Bitcointalk thinking that potential investors would buy ad spaces, start signature campaigns there and whatnot, but they entirely forgot the main thing and that's - SPAM. They didn't stop it but promoted it by paying for 30 posts and users took sheer advantage of the same, now when they are seeing that people are posting even shittiest of the comments to get paid that buck per post and while BTC's value has started to rise, they are probably looking to wind up their ongoing campaign on their forum too and end this once and for all for some more time. May be they won't come back again considering that BTC is poised to rise during this year and upcoming years.
1764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: February 25, 2020, 10:48:16 PM
I don't see it to be an easy-going fight here because centralized exchanges have already taken over and majority of the bigger share of investors are allocated in centralized exchanges only because Dex lack a lot of features - attraction, looks, speed, no apps, volumes, volatility, less buyers, less users due to no knowledge or understanding of how to use, UI not so friendly, etc. There's a lot to be added to Dex, while we are talking about fiat, let me remind you of a Dex that allowed fiat too but didn't work as expected (I mean it didn't got users attracted to use it and even I was highly optimistic about it but it didn't work) - I'm talking about WavesDex if you remember, it had EUR, USD, RUR (and maybe more fiat currencies available but I'm known to these 3 only).
1765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind ALTCOINS not bouncing Back on: February 25, 2020, 09:56:49 PM
The reason behind alts not rising this time could be because the money has all been shifted into leveraged and marginal markets where even a small move brings exceptional profits against what a trader gets while trading alts. I'm not saying that alt season is yet to begin as it has already started, but the pumps are not so big and only a few coins are performing good where you get to see ~100% greens and others only move 10-15-20% and a bit more but the range is almost the same.
1766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Flaws in 4G/5G - Interception of calls and messages! on: February 25, 2020, 09:43:07 PM
What if I get an email OTP on top of that SMS that's sent as a 2fa? This email thing was used to be an additional measurement of authentication when I used blockchain.info (but it used to be inverse where email comes first). Can't this email thing (if set alone and no 2fa) with a very strong password work out as an alternative if SMSes and calls are not to be trusted?
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 25, 2020, 09:27:41 PM
IMHO, gambling can be both a threat or fun - based on how you take it. If you take gambling too seriously, I think it's not less than a threat as it'll become a stress on your mind and a passion to gamble will always be on top of your mind, while on the other hand if you take this thing lightly, I don't think that it's less than a fun way to cheer up yourself and you'll also not put money you can't afford to lose. But in any case, getting under debts to gamble should not be done at any cost because you are risking your lender's money and that isn't considered something you can afford to lose.
1768  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: February 25, 2020, 09:14:28 PM
Of course, Bitcointalk's position will not be in danger for several years, but I don't know how to explain this situation..  Roll Eyes

The free and largely indiscriminate handing out of money of course. Watch what happens when it stops. I've noticed the most common term posters use there is 'work' when related to being on the forum.

These days on here you now need to actually show some worth to able to access decent opportunities.

Here's one of the threads titles on there which says it all - 'What will happen if 5 people are using same wifi for crypto talk?'

Their rate of HQ posts is relatively low compared to what we see here, and they left no efforts to try their best to bring down the level of Bitcointalk posts to high spam quotient. Remember those days when 20 posts a day were the talk of the Town and spam was spreading like someone started firing bullets from an AK-47? I'm thankful to Yahoo for pressurizing them to just drop down the number to 5 paid posts a day max.
1769  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having secondary/multiple accounts purpose is..? on: February 25, 2020, 09:04:08 PM
--snip--
What is the purpose of having multiple accounts (alt/alts) on this forum?

People are of two types, ones who use it and others who abuse it.

Users are those who use alts to post their tweets/fb post links/reports and keep their main account clean and free from all this stuff. These people either openly declare or keep it hidden under the hoods that they are using an alt, but they never commit any shady activity from such account(s) and never ask for any loans, never scam and never spam.

Abusers are those who don't give a fuck to rules of the forum and just abuse bounties, signature campaigns and exploit any earning opportunities available here, and spam the shit out of their tens of hundreds of accounts created with the sole purpose of the same. And such accounts also get nuked very quick because we have a team of enthusiastic spam-cum-scambusters who don't let these abusers leave empty handed from the forum and gift them a permaban forever.
1770  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss, A life saver or a evil? on: February 25, 2020, 08:28:17 PM
Stop loss literally saves us from a lot of tension and stress because you just don't need to watch the markets with the fear of getting kicked out with your whole capital getting compromised in a matter of seconds just because of that wick that comes either way that is against the direction of your trade (this applies to margin and leveraged positions). I don't trade alts these days as they look more fishy and can turn you red, not much profits as I can't hodl longer (impatient type of a guy I'm). You shouldn't buy into alts if you can't hold for longer, at least till you are in 10% profits, so stopping a very tight stop loss here is not recommended (this is for altcoin trading).
1771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet would rather be a “forgetful old man” on: February 25, 2020, 08:13:19 PM
He wouldnt care that much either this one is intentional or do really completely forget about it.WB been known when it comes to charitable works so it isnt surprising that he do give out that phone containing that bitcoin.

Those amounts arent really a big deal though but the thing we are concern is on his sentiment towards bitcoin/ crypto.

Warren Buffett loves licking those traditional old lollipops being served to his dish daily by the stock markets, but he doesn't know that when these stock markets will crash, the only alternative to run towards will be Bitcoins and the crypto space. I think he'll definitely regret his decision of not taking any interest in crypto and just denying the facts that crypto is a store of value.
1772  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I need 5 sources of revenue to generate $200 each per month - Ideas? on: February 25, 2020, 08:00:50 PM
Translation - Though this needs experience, but if done correctly and through known sources that can give you continuous work (obviously on the basis of your previous works) this one can definitely fetch you $200 a month easily.

Voice-over jobs - It's full of luck to find such jobs where your voice is needed to work for you, but if you get a job done successfully, then a streak of jobs await for you in this field and has a lot more to give you above your expectations.

YouTube - If you are creative enough to make great videos with high quality content, then YouTube is the best place you should go for. $200 is easy if you can get around 2-5 million views for your video and people wait as well as also click on the ads shown during your video stream.

Blogging - It's a hectic task and takes longer before you become a successful blogger as the competition is already on and heating up in this field, but once you gain a lot of subs on your blogs, you can start advertising affiliated ads or even Google ads (AdSense) to earn through this field.
1773  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Bit-Get, Bitcoin Draw on: February 25, 2020, 07:47:47 PM
Please change the title from Giveaway to Draw.
This looks like someone will be chosen after completing the tasks assigned on their LinkedIn page. Can they use an escrow of this forum or just show a BTC address that holds this $50 and sign a message from that address? I know $50 is not so big but signing a message doesn't cost them a lot of time when they expect us to give our time to fulfill the requirements.
1774  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto eSports betting on: February 25, 2020, 07:39:09 PM
Lets share some intel and help each other, where are the best sources to learn about the eSports opportunities, biggest tournaments, betting bonuses and special events.

a little tips from me,better to bet a live bet rather than place bet early.

Can you detail why ?

Live betting and betting before the game starts both are good, if you know how to hedge your gambling positions.

If you believe that team A in DotA is going to win but their odds are around 2.5 and you bet on them, but during the live play you see that team B is doing bad but they have better odds like 2.6 or more due to low score, there's nothing bad in putting an extra bet on team B as well as it'll give you profit only in the end. I have done this in tennis games where odds change very quick during live betting, point by point, service after service.
1775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren buffett strikes again 😂 on: February 25, 2020, 07:13:15 PM
Yes, Warren Buffett gave the BTC to a charity as a donation but because he doesn't own crypto, he thinks that cryptocurrencies have no value - a silly statement from his end btw. These highly rich people who, on the many shoulders of a lot of people, have become successful and give tips to others so that their shares be worth a fortune for them but nowadays, people have become too smart to stop following them and these rich people are fearing the possibility of losing their control over the markets as well as their followers. Come on, tell me the times when a community ever neglected on comments made by these well-established people and started following something new as well as created a completely different asset class of its kind where there is no control of anybody and everyone owns and is a part of crypto.
1776  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So are we in bullish times or Not?? on: February 25, 2020, 06:21:30 PM
Strictly it was a healthy correction to liquidate so many longs as there was a $10 million order on $10k to short BTC as some whales are still trying to make their moves to make more money when these levels are available to short squeeze the markets and make higher percentages when there are still some possibilities to stop longs from going up quickly. And as I said in my old posts, $8600 seems to be a fair price from which BTC will shoot up again and reach $14500 and remain steady there for some time before cracking a new ATH.
1777  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk is racist on: February 25, 2020, 05:44:43 PM
Spam is not the fault of yobit, it is the fault of people who abuse the opportunity that yobit is giving them. from what I searched, in cryptotalk it is allowed to do a maximum of 30 post per day, this does not mean that people must do 30 post per day.... But unfortunately many people are creating alt accounts and make 30 post per day. yobit would have to do something to end these abuses

Sure it isn't their fault, but they've done least efforts to figure and fight it out, the first was the trailer that was seen on this forum when they allowed 20 posts a day to the users without anyone moderating them (2 times in a row if I'm not wrong when they did it without any manager and still paid their users for posting shit) and third time, when they were highly pressurized by Yahoo here to put it down to (first) 10 and then 5 posts max per day to be counted, they decided to stop the campaign here and shift everything at cryptotalk. Don't get me wrong, but what's the need of allowing 30 paid posts daily when they know they'll definitely fail in preventing spam? Why can't they lower the paid posts to 5 or 10 itself? That'll definitely let those users not post above 10 posts because they (spammers specifically) solely post for pennies and nothing all they want, they don't give a fuck to the forum's reputation nor theirs, they just need money and that's it. Why are cryptotalk people allowing this number at the very first point? Think.
1778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for staking!! on: February 25, 2020, 05:11:51 PM
You can search signatures of members with this tool from lulu.
https://signatures.bitcointalk.luc-mergault.fr/.
How actually works this tool? Is it provide signature information from Stake your bitcoin address here thread?
If so, I have searched mine but did not find any information of mine. Smiley But I have staked my btc address there. That means Is it under construction?

It looks incomplete to me as well because when I searched for my.username, it returned a blank page and even when I searched for someone on that page already, the same output. I don't understand how it works but yeah, even if you get your post deleted in the staked addresses' thread for some reasons, why not create an account on keybase.io? The simplest way to prove that it's you is that website if you cannot prove it here due to that post deletion issue. Signing a PGP key from that website also ensures your public key to be in your possession and its your account if you keep those details too in any thread here or just make a thread with those details and send it to archival and save the thread link with yourself.
1779  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk is racist on: February 25, 2020, 05:00:25 PM
after reading your post and looking at the cryptotalk forum, I realize that they may have their reasons in this case. look at the people who create topics, post a lot to the point of doing 30 posts a day and also see who are the people who have a lot of likes and high reputation who will realize that there are a lot of people with multiple accounts and who don't know what they are talking about when do some post

They are the reason themselves to attract spammers to their ground if you're considering this 30 posts thing, because they are allowing their users themselves to make that amount of posts and also get paid for it (even though a buck, $1 is still something in developing countries which is why people will do anything - from making alt accounts to making unnecessary content and posting there and now they are complaining about spam - they were the ones who tried their best to convert this forum into a spam garden until a manager was assigned to manage the users.
1780  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon to accept bitcoin payments directly... the real breakthrough!? on: February 25, 2020, 03:56:48 PM
It won't make much difference except one major possibility that in the look after of the happenings in one of the biggest platforms for online shopping and almost anything, other big competitive platforms will also start accepting Bitcoins which will surely give a boost to the learnings of people who haven't even heard of BTC (yes, there are still many places where they don't know about BTC or anything about crypto) and it may also help boost the value of BTC because they will definitely want to be a part of those fresh geeks who find themselves learning and spending something new, something that is not certain at its value and can be worth more or less today or tomorrow.
