1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PETER SCHIFF WAS RIGHT: Again... If Bitcoin does not go up on good news.... on: March 10, 2020, 09:05:47 PM
These bears, huh!!!
Seriously, it makes no difference to them whatever we'll speak here whether it's about BTC or its price, they will just take us as dogs who are barking in front of them. BTC never, ever showed any moves based on news factor and that's one of the facts you need to understand at first. Yes, BTC is feeling the heat too but it's not alone, many major markets are being hit by this outbreak and BTC still has the potential to recover very, very quickly due to its volatile nature as well as lesser need of capital to pump it up if compared to major commodities and stocks.
1722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Random coin picks experiment on: March 10, 2020, 08:55:04 PM
People can freely choose what ever they want to pick , I have coin who are not potential to me but during the bull run the price of it start increasing too and sometimes that coins gives more profit because the value rise very high.

Mosy of the coins in bullish market are increasing so if the bull run happen again for sure many profit we get in that .

Why to go for random coins when you know that the market is bad and is in red from the past few days? Why not wait for some more days and let the markets show some signs of positive returns as well as even in this market, just look out for some notable projects instead of putting your money into just-another-random shitcoin just because your fingers are itching enough to make you do that?
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone pay for slandering gambling websites on Bitcointalk? on: March 10, 2020, 08:40:00 PM
If the claims of a newbie have got enough proof to show us that the website is acting shady and/or has scammed/will scam their users/any jackpot related issues, bugs on the website, payment issues, etc. and after verifying the given information, if found true, then I believe that such newbie should be considered trustworthy based on accurate information being shared. I don't think anyone would pay a newbie or even a review writer to write something bad against their competitor here as they can easily purchase a copper membership and post anything (from content to images and much more) and present it in a fancy way and due to that, some may even believe them due to the show off they'll do here, but smart guys will go, research a lot before coming to any conclusion and if that newbie is found guilty instead, will tag him for his misleading tactics.
1724  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL HODL HODL...AND BUY MORE on: March 10, 2020, 08:31:30 PM
Its 26 months of bear market, a situation which never happened before in bitcoin's history.

Why do you keep repeating this?

The 2014-2015 bear market was much longer than any other in history.

2013 top: week of Nov 25 2013
2013 top broken: Feb 20 2017

2017 top: Dec 11 2017
Today's date: March 11 2020

No matter how you define a bear market (% gains from the bottom, when the previous ATH was broken) the 2014-2015 one was longer. If BTC hasn't broken the 2017 ATH by the end of 2021, then we can talk. Until then, you're just spreading misinformation.

He's (maybe) worried about his coins not being sold even at the purchase price or might he getting worried about the halving that's stepping in?!?

@OP, I believe I'd literally not touch BTC below $8600 even if I'm getting it now at a bargained value because $8600 is such a key level for me that, once broken upwards, will get BTC into a bullish state once again.
1725  Other / Meta / Re: Possible restrictions on newbie accounts. on: March 10, 2020, 08:18:10 PM
The question isn't the "debate-or-not?", but actually it's about the newbies not having knowledge of either the question they were asking or how things work here (or even those stupid alts). If a newbie himself is given an opportunity to just lock his thread once he's received enough answers for his/her question, s/he should do it. This "lock topic" feature is a game of a kid and they aren't too silly to come and say that "we never knew such things existed". It's not in the forum's liability to lock the thread but the newbies should do it, and IMHO the best way would be to display a warning in red color above their thread (just to them only) to lock the topic if what they're looking for, has been achieved. And a mod should step in and lock their thread if s/he believes that newbie is not responding, has enough replies and got the answer they were asking for and/or last but not the least, it's an alt account.
1726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Podcasts on: March 10, 2020, 08:07:07 PM
  • Off The Chain Podcast(going to be renamed to The Pomp Podcast) - has a huge variety of personalities interviewed with a lot of interesting topics
  • What Bitcoin DId - Purely Bitcoin stuff, probably my favorite
  • Tales from the Crypt - also good, has good number of episodes on privacy(mixing, coinjoins and such)

There are some others but these are the only ones I personally follow on Spotify.

Can you please provide any other social media links of these podcasters. Like twitter handle, facebook and telegram.

https://mobile.twitter.com/otcpodcasts?lang=en - OTC's Twitter handle

https://mobile.twitter.com/whatbitcoindid?lang=en - WBD's Twitter handle

https://mobile.twitter.com/tftc21?lang=en - TFTC's Twitter handle

I have been a fan of all podcasts from What Bitcoin did as its main focus has always been BTC and the talks surrounding it interest me much more rather than reading about the whole crypto sphere.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 10, 2020, 07:52:05 PM
The fact is, with such an outbreak in the world (or maybe a big hoax being spread by the media), either way people are stretching out money from both their banks and crypto just to get tested for this virus. While it's true that many patients are almost being tested and even treated for free, you can't deny the fact that some people are being charged a fortune worth $3k-$4k just to have a COVID-19 test conducted on them and the treatment bills are a surprise package if you are found with and get your treatment started for this virus. I agree that physical appearance of people in casinos may have got drastically impacted and the businesses have been hit badly due to this, but I have seen no such news on the increase in the number of people going digital in terms of gambling as everyone is currently trying to stay safe and fight this virus at their best with a face mask, washing hands carefully and avoiding direct contact with infected people or people who have cough, fever or pneumonia.
1728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: March 10, 2020, 07:41:12 PM
@OP, are you one of those old bear-trolls awakened after a long time, starting to trash down on BTC and start a bearish debate here? No, I'm not saying that BTC didn't crash, it did but it's not just BTC alone. You can go and check out all the international stocks, futures, derivatives and commodity markets and whatnot, and understand that such markets are driven by billions, some even by trillions of dollars where the whole cryptocurrency market is just a small piece of an extremely big cake where throwing BTC out of the views of economic investors is a no-big-deal for bears, but still BTC didn't crash as much as those big markets that were in the game since decades. You cannot come and declare a death of BTC every time you see a crash. Remember where we have recovered from? $3k times? Remember?
1729  Economy / Economics / Re: Start investing so you can quit your job and retire early. on: March 10, 2020, 07:16:17 PM
Invest into what?

Mutual funds? - Subject to market risks and may/ not give you even your capital returned.

Stocks? Shares? High risk equities? - Never, I'd rather keep my money with me in the form of cash.

Banks? - Meh, I'd love to keep this allergy away from my money and focus on how to keep it safe from these big-scale robbers.

Bitcoins? - Well, I don't have the courage to keep all my money stored into BTC because of its uncertainty. I can keep some % of my earnings to remain in BTC, but not all.

Real estate? - Somewhat yes, but needs a lot of knowledge about the land/place we invest into and the potential returns in a few years later from that property.
1730  Other / Meta / Re: Top sections to get merits. on: March 10, 2020, 07:08:14 PM
@OP, earning merits have nothing to do with being popular, another thing is, it's never been on a first come first serve basis for any user here and I've seen newbies changing their destinies by becoming a Hero/Legendary here. DdmrDdmr and Direwolfm14 are the best examples if you want to admire someone on this matter and get inspired from.

Now, the other part - Sections.
Even I used to think that way some time before, that there are some major sections where most merits are distributed/earned and even considered Meta to be one of the highest converting section for potential-threads-with-higher-probabilities-to-earn-merits, but I was wrong and eventually, I learned that it's not true. The truth, as well as the fact is, you need to have the patience and great content as well as better presentation skills to present your content in a professional and highest-quality grade so that even if you post in sections where you believe that least merits are distributed, you will earn merits even from those sections and even better, those sections can be your key to get a lot of merits as people in those sections await good content and if you give them the food their minds need, they'll definitely pay you great rewards in terms of merits for the same.
1731  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is AMFEIX a Huge Scam? on: March 10, 2020, 06:42:32 PM

All Amfeix results -  https://amfeix.now.sh from Ethereum blockchain

Oh, I see you are working with them. Why should anyone believe in random numbers? I could write that I'm making +20% per day while trading, why should anyone believe me? Where is the proof?

Even if 5% a day is promised, it's a definite scam and I'd talk no numbers here (the way you asked us about the project being 100% scam or not) but would say that giving such huge returns isn't even possible if you are investing in Movie Productions, you know why? Because even such things have a lot of risk involved and if the Movie they've invested in, fails to deliver and gain even 50% of the total invested capital, then I believe that the loss will be big enough for them to recover if they decide to produce another movie and take another risk. Movie Productions was just an example of what type of investments could bring a 100% (or even more) return.
1732  Economy / Economics / Re: My economy Predicrions are true!! Gold is trash on: March 10, 2020, 06:23:54 PM
Literally? Gold is bullshit? You know, I've always been against Gold whenever it was compared to BTC but never said nor thought that Gold is rubbish, it has a value (can't be a store of value at least for me, but it really has a value and it can be touched as well Wink). Lemme stop the BTCvsGOLD here and come straight to the point, the truth is, all such future predictions from anyone in this world about anything ARE ALL BULLSHIT. And trust me, this is not just about you alone but even mine, others and everybody. Nobody can be fucking accurate in terms of predicting things especially when it comes to predicting values of an asset like BTC or Gold.
1733  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for posting in BitcoinBangladesh.org forum on: March 10, 2020, 06:13:50 PM
--snip--

Regarding this campaign, I doubt it can work in a way it is presented, posting on 3 different forums for very low pay rate, and focusing only on domestic language is not something that can attract quality members.

I believe they're probably searching for locals only, and so they should probably focus on their forum only as nobody here would change their signature here for such a low pay rate when everyone here has got enough opportunities to work with and get paid way higher than what they're giving (and trust me, even their local Bangladeshi colleagues here won't do that for them unless they are doing it for the sake of supporting them).
1734  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-04] Supreme Court terms Crypto Ban by Central bank unconstitutional on: March 10, 2020, 01:42:42 PM
For all of us celebrating this win, we should calm down and see the new fact about RBI who is planning to take on the Court by challenging the decision given through them about cryptocurrencies' stance in India.

1735  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-04] Supreme Court terms Crypto Ban by Central bank unconstitutional on: March 04, 2020, 06:24:17 AM
That's something I'd consider to be the best news of the decade itself as it is now the time when I can say that I'm free, I'm a part of a democratic country and that I can use my freedom in the right manner. This shows that Patience conquers everything in the end and that the fruit riped through it, is sweet. We are now literally in a phase where our 1.5 billion Indians are yet to learn about BTC and this all-new asset class (new to those who are completely unaware about it) which opens a chance for both scams (by giving false knowledge and/or coming up with HYIP programs) and opportunities for us to stop people from getting scammed and educate them about Bitcoins as well as important parts of the crypto sphere.
1736  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk is racist on: March 03, 2020, 11:51:38 PM
People should understand that the guys from yobit are not stupid.
They have not banned countries just because of the spam, they have made calculations before that, looking at their clients for their shitty ICOs.
When they realized that 99% of the people from those countries are there just to posts and don't invest a cents in their scam schemes, of course, they have pulled the plug.

Crypto talk is their tool for making money also, they won't be paying endlessly for something that doenst make them money in return.

Yeah, it completely changed the way I was thinking about Yobit's decision. Definitely a great explanation by you that because the demand of their forum is about those people investing in their scam ICOs but these guys were just posting and withdrawing their coins, Yobit decided to cut off their country's names from the list of paid countries to stop themselves from spending more on those who are not profiting them. Well, let's just think for a moment that if signatures are removed from this forum itself, what will the scenario look like?
1737  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin needs to be in a bull market before the halving on: March 03, 2020, 11:39:17 PM
Don't worry guys, the bearish session will be there till we cross back above $10250 and this time, there's no stopping as BTC will bounce very hard from $8700 area. It just needs to hold near there as I've been saying it all the time before, and once the pump starts, the next target I'm looking towards is not less than $11750 and furthermore towards $14500. FUD has been surrounding by many that it may be dropped down towards $6k and even less and we are awaiting a crash till a new low is determined and whatnot, don't fall for the bearish trap this time and hold your BTC tight - nothing's gonna crash as BTC is not going to get affected by Coronavirus unlike major stocks which got a hard hit.
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does it have volume ? on: March 03, 2020, 11:27:42 PM
The exchange on which a specific coin is listed will itself show whether it may or may not possess any volume or the volume that's shown over there. As for e.g.; if a coin is on Mercatox and that same coin is available at Yobit (you know both the exchanges aren't worth it), consider it a red flag to invest in that coin because then, you are responsible for your own loss as you knowingly dived into the well. Mercatox doesn't have any volume tbh, so pumping any coins there is a matter of a few BTC whereas Yobit is known for its fake volumes and if you ever decide to trade there, then you'll definitely lose more while trying to earn through their exchange just because of their shadiness in maintaining higher volumes which are fake completely.
1739  Economy / Economics / Re: Unfair aspects of KYC. But KYP is here on: March 03, 2020, 11:19:19 PM
You mean knowing the team behind the project by asking them for a proof of identity and/or proof of address (where the project is being established)? It's actually a great idea but will those guys hiding behind the project names itself and showing just an image of theirs on their website page actually give any real proof? Like if we ask someone from a Project X to show up with an identity proof as well as an address proof and click a selfie while holding a paper in his/her hand on which his/her name, the project's name as well as the date when clicked is written, they will need to complete all these KYP checks before anyone takes interest in their project and start investing with them?! If that becomes possible, at least 50% of these projects will disappear.
1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin halving make cryptocurrencies reach all time high again? on: March 03, 2020, 11:09:09 PM
I believe not, because in old days any shitcoin used to pile up its way towards getting pumped up easily but it was the time when investors' minds were just money-oriented and nobody was looking what was in the project itself and even BTC was growing while these alts were having their best times. This time, BTC has already grown a lot and it'll get up to an extent where its domination will speak for itself and this is why we are not seeing major pumps like 10-20x yet and we won't see it this year because BTC alone is looking a safe haven asset and the one which is highly expensive to afford right now, so investors are only putting their money into safe projects which actually have any use case and are worth putting their dime in.
