1821  Economy / Reputation / Re: Senior and Hero account seller. on: February 11, 2020, 05:58:12 PM
Yes. Bitcointalk account selling on many websites. But buying an account is risky. The seller does not get caught. But the person who buys the account has a chance to get caught. And if he gets caught, his account may get tag from DT member. So those who buy bitcointalk account, they have higher risk.

It isn't "may get tagged", but they are going to get tagged for sure. Another thing is, it's not necessary that they sell alt accounts that are bought by them or farmed only, but some are legit accounts that are lost as a way of not repaying a loan they took while keeping their account as collateral, but the lender can't put such account on sale through their real account and which is why they create a new account, either maintain it and get to Jr. Level or more and then try to sell those accounts they have in their possession.
1822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can the Outbreak of CORONA Virus lead to Increase ..... on: February 11, 2020, 02:40:12 PM
I don't know how you're pinning the rise in BTC with the outbreak of Corona virus, while BTC has been rising all because of the fact that it is, once again, been seen as one of the safe haven assets while most of the International Stocks are sinking and it looks like an economic outbreak is resting ahead in the future and BTC could only be one of the best investments to make better returns. While it may sound off-topic, I'd ask everyone to come ahead and let's do our best to stop this deadly disease or at least let the infected people get out of it as quickly as possible.
1823  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unbiased opinion about bitcoin wallet on: February 11, 2020, 02:32:13 PM
--snip--

It's either OP saw this on some advertisement post on Reddit or on social media, or OP is advertising it.

Right, the account was solely made with the purpose of advertising their service here and asking people indirectly to visit there and see their service and even use it if they want to. I urge everyone not to go for that wallet OP has mentioned here, you've got many great wallets available for all types of cryptocurrencies and having your coins on an exchange or the app mentioned by Op (suspicious one) would be a silly step to take.
1824  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blockchain.com Phishing e-mail! on: February 11, 2020, 01:50:24 PM
The best part is to keep your eyes open and check the email address you received that email from, and you'll surely know that it isn't blockchain.com but there must be some sort of change in the address like xyz@blockcain.com or xyz@blockchaind.com or anything similar but not the official domain. So, watch out and stay safer than ever, and even if you get emails from official Blockchain wallet, please try to right click and copy and paste it in a notepad to check it carefully before you open it. There's one more hint I'd like to give you here, Blockchain always sends an extra link down under the log in button in the email, if that link is not available - simple - delete that email right away.
1825  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Should I make a legacy, segwit or native segwit wallet? (Electrum) on: February 11, 2020, 01:36:37 PM
I've heard of the days when blockchain.com (formerly Blockchain.info) wallet didn't allow you to send to SegWit addresses starting with bc1 as they were not recognized then, so I stopped using their wallet. Then, I went for Electrum and it gave me the availability of doing everything, from sending to all types of addresses whether legacy or native SegWit or a compatible one, so your choice remains best currently, but if you are a bit more advanced, you can go for Mycelium too. And yeah, SegWit will help you save your fee a bit as the costs are evaluated through virtual bytes.
1826  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be cautious about downloading wallets from new alts announcements on: February 11, 2020, 01:18:00 PM
Instead of using a second PC formally, can't you just either use Amazon AWS VPS or load a virtual machine in your "second" PC itself? A virtual machine helps you use any OS on your system while no need to have it officially loaded on your PC, so I don't think it'd affect anything you've kept on your PC if you use a virtual machine like VMware.
1827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways of earning merit. on: February 11, 2020, 10:32:49 AM
Presence
Yes, this thought came to my mind when I stopped coming on the forum due to some personal reasons I have faced during these days (months I mean). The more you come to the forum, the more topics and discussions you will explore where you will learn on some instances while you can share your knowledge on the other. Merits are not an easy task to gain, but there are users who have become a kind of fragrance of this flowered forum, their presence itself speaks for them as whatever they talk is appreciated due to the fact that they speak what's needed in the discussion and not shit. You decide when would you like to have your presence be noticed, but I guess if you're serious, the time is now and you should start looking for topics where you think you can say something that you know about (and the condition is, that thing must not have been said already or yours will be considered spam or repetitive post).

Popularity
On one hand, your presence gains you both knowledge and ways of sharing it, on the other hand it gets you popularity between people who start to follow you. This is one another way and it works like a charm, but there is one thing you need to have if you want to be popular - discipline. Discipline will get you the power to talk constructive only and no bs from you will surely earn you darn amount of merits. DdmrDdmr is the guy to follow, he's the best example of how you can be super constructive for the community. You need to get out of your comfort level to speak in various forum areas if you are looking to earn a lot of merits.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why are exchanges still listing shitcoins? on: February 10, 2020, 11:52:54 PM
Do you see Yobit and the coins listed over there?
Almost 80% of the coins have no history and nothing relevant could be found about them, still Yobit lists them. Exchanges do that for few of the following reasons based on my understanding:

- To make themselves money no matter the type of coin, exchange is just interested in making money over the fees they will gain on both trading and withdrawal (and even during IEO if it's a lottery type distribution)

- To give you more options to lose your money on (yes, lose) because 90% of such coins fail to even carry their purchase value for a day/week and you will lose from both sides, buying it high at a loss and paying them fee, as well as selling it low while doing the same

- They also look out for influencers, some exchanges try to influence people themselves while others see if any bigger name is attached as a tag to that coin, because they know that if the coin is hyped too much, no wonder it will see an extraordinary trading volume than expected one - John McAfee is the best example here
1829  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need more opinions about bestchange red trusts. on: February 10, 2020, 08:27:12 PM
Opinions won't change no matter what happens. This is why even Yahoo said that this DT system is worth nothing these days and the trust rating that adds nothing but shit comments has now become the trend of the forum. Even I had been worried about the situation Bestchange had been into, but after they managed to return the funds to the customer SergeyMalar, I don't see any possible reasons to keep those red tags. What's more commendable is the fact that no DT counter-trusted them even after the resolution was made.
1830  Economy / Services / Re: (Postponed, consider my apology) EuroGamblers Signature Campaign is postponed on: February 09, 2020, 07:06:17 AM
It's very sad news. I have a little confusion when I saw the incomplete thread.   Wink Though this is really very unfortunate, You should not create any campaign thread without 100% confirmation. Many Members already applied since it was a higher payout structure. I don’t know how they will take this apology.

LM does not need to apologize at the first place because there was no signature or avatar available to be updated and nobody was asked to leave their ongoing campaign for this pay structure. And what do you mean by "how they will take this apology?" It's the campaign that'd pay and not us, we have just applied and apologies were to be needed if a sig/avatar was given and people would have changed it to this one and have dropped the opportunity they were already having. LM had been a good manager all in all and I believe there must be something with the team who chose not to include him.

1832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: unfonfirmed transaction on: February 04, 2020, 07:26:40 PM
wait for now is the best option right now?

Either wait or if you have sent this transaction, you can replace your fee with the RBF (Replace By Fee) function that you can find in your wallet. If you have some coins left in your wallet, you just need to add some as a fee to get immediately confirmed. But I guess your fee is sufficient enough to get your transaction involved almost in the next block it was made before, still not getting the catch behind why it wasn't included as of yet.
1833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We share success stories on: February 04, 2020, 07:18:39 PM
The strategies are profitable but they are very limited to certain small amounts and you can't go big on this as such altcoins with no possibilities of getting listed on a reputed exchange, coins which have no reliable purpose of their existence, coins that are totally shit are the ones that just get small pumps (like we used to see in our old days esp. on bittrex and poloniex). The numbers you are trading with, are small and can gain you substantial profit in terms of percentage if and only if your bets are small, and these amounts are probably the ones you can afford to lose, so what you're doing is good. Wink
1834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uber or Airbnb running on bitcoin on: February 04, 2020, 06:38:25 PM
I think the charges need to cut down but not freed completely, because the driver spends time and energy as well as the cost for picking you up from your place to dropping you to your desired location and so, they deserve something in return. The reason why charges have spiked is because of the mind game these companies play where they'd first build up their customer base and once they see there are enough people on the table to be looted, they move out their "expense" gun on our pockets.
1835  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Win 0.2 BTC From 0.8 BTC Balance In Dice Fast - In 10 Minutes on: February 04, 2020, 05:49:59 PM
You loose, because the balance was too low - 0.013 BTC. If you have larger balance - 0.8 - 1 BTC in 10 - 15 minutes you win. Your balance was the reason why you loose. Simple.
Firstly, we can read what you are saying clearly and there is no need to highlight your posts in red all the time. Coming to point about balance, I have no idea why you think that a larger balance would guarantee profits.

Casinos implement upper limits to bypass this issue which is why your strategy might be effective in the short term, but it will never work in the long term. Don't act like you found the holy grail of gambling or anything.

He is literally spewing shit as he doesn't even know what he's talking about. We're feeding a troll who thinks we need a big bankroll in order to gain big, WTF? I have seen people winning jackpots like 100x on mean bets and this dude wants us to try out his strategy "only to lose more because wins aren't guaranteed by OP and he'll come up with anything to prevent his ass from being caught up". Maybe he's trying to let those gambling sites gain through losses of users here who are falling for OP's strategy?
1836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: From being a shitposter before now Officially Hero Rank on: February 04, 2020, 05:31:24 PM
Congratulations, and this congratulations is not just to you, but your dedication, your ability to accept change and be the change too. This shows that you have found a key to bridge the gap between being an average poster to becoming a professional speaker and talk maturely. Congratulations on your achievement and Legendary is now your next goal waiting to be accomplished, be more mature and do what you're already doing at your best - contribute. Smiley
1837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: February 04, 2020, 04:46:53 PM
This is a good idea if you dont have any expenses to worried about. $5 a day or let say $150 a month is a good practice of saving valuable assets like Bitcoin and maybe changing your spending habit is also a good practice. As mentioned above of my post, by the time people will retire they will have a financial freedom especially when we went going older. It probably helps you add more value to your current financial status in life. Tend to agree that this is a good plan of an investment than depositing your money on the bank.

People tend to take the advantage of the price spikes and most of us here don't save our money in crypto but also redeem all the BTC/alt in fiat once we get our earnings. That's proven and the reason behind it is the fact that most of us either come from third world countries or just have crypto as the only source of income here. For doing continuous investments in BTC, a person needs to be very active and firm with the fact that he won't touch none of his coins he invested in. For those who can't invest $1 (or any specific amount) daily, they can either set up a goal of $30 (or maybe less or more) to keep aside after a month ends, then either buy BTC with it or if already earned it, keep it and hodl it.
1838  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Win 0.2 BTC From 0.8 BTC Balance In Dice Fast - In 10 Minutes on: February 01, 2020, 09:46:39 PM
You can try to play in Doge firstly, after win change to Bitcoin. 1 Doge is nothing, so you can just test. Hope I reply to your questions.   Wink

Why are you confusing us with your talks here?
Why should we switch to another currency to try at first? That means that the probability of wins over losses is less, right?

Then try with Increase On Loose:5%, then you win. This means that not in all dice sites you can win with 10% increasing on loose.   Grin

Whether it's a 10% increase on loss or 5%, you'll make just around 2x if that lucky bet comes when you hit a 49x win.
1839  Economy / Reputation / Re: yahoo62278 and Yobit on: January 28, 2020, 11:17:19 PM
--snip--
Theymos banned Yobit from advertising and generally runs decent checks on the to-be-advertised entity. I don't think he'd accept a bid from a known-scam, thus your argument vs. theymos (and suchmoon's) fails. It's fine, some people just aren't aware of all the things that have happened here over the years and developed misguided views of justice.

You're confused my dear friend Lauda.
Once again, let me reiterate my words here that I'm not trying to point my fingers on theymos and he's just being used as an example ONLY. The main motive was the fact that nobody knows what is right and what will be wrong in the future as we can't predict future but can only experience when the time comes. In Yahoo's case, however I admit that he knew the position of yobit on the forum, but let me summarize it all for you:

- Yobit came here after their 6 months ban was over
- They tried to lure users with their "20 posts per day policy" and let them start spamming this forum again
- DTs came ahead (including Yahoo) and warned users not to spam wearing their signature or they will be tagged
- After seeing a strict stance of everyone here boycotting against Yobit, Yobit officials decided to go for a campaign manager after getting several suggestions for the same
- After that, they chose Yahoo and made him their campaign manager
- Yahoo started showing his banhammer power by banning a lot of spammers, while also getting Yobit down to their knees and made them reduce the max paid posts per day from 20 to 10 (at first) and then 5, which saved a lot of spam from happening
- Yobit, without any message to Yahoo about changing their signature, straight away came here and asked users to change it to the new X10 signature
- Yahoo was not online during that day and I noticed many users were asking (fighting hard) to either change the content in the signature or they'd leave and a few "honest" users left too
- Yahoo, on the other side, was trying hard and convinced them to change it as quickly as possible or he'd stop managing their campaign, once again a defeat to Yobit's scammy intentions and our forum's victory
- Even when their wallet remained empty for around 2 weeks, Yahoo managed to communicate and get it refilled for the users
- After that, the happy ending of that campaign Smiley

So, during all these instances, see what Yahoo has done and if you still think that it was all just done having financial motives alone in his mind, you can go ahead and tag all those who participated including Yahoo. Wink
1840  Economy / Reputation / Re: yahoo62278 and Yobit on: January 28, 2020, 10:55:41 PM
You're confusing theymoses position as an admit with his DT1 position. For this particular case, as a DT1 (or well currently DT2 in this rotation) member he's just as guilty as the rest are (not more). As an admin, he's not guilty as he's been uniformly applying the policy of allowing scammers to scam and creating a trust system for this. Albeit, he could do a lot more than he isn't doing in this regard but it's irrelevant to this case. --snip--

Ok, keeping it irrelevant as it is. I've got a question for you again.
This forum doesn't run on charity not donations, but advertisements (read the whole statement carefully before mixing it up with signatures), those banner advertisements we see in between our posts. So based on your statement, theymos would "also just allow Yobit to advertise here by bidding for one or more slot(s)" for the ^financial motivation^ and it is good, why? Because theymos did it in the interest of forum. But wait, Yobit is a scam exchange. So what, he needs money to run this forum 24/7/365 uptime and it doesn't matter if any slot taken by any websites are scammers or turn out to be scammers, it's neither theymos' liability nor the forum's liability if you lose anything by visiting and investing anything over those websites "which were advertised here". Is it so?
