1881  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: [SERVICE] ACADEMIC, TERM PAPER ESSAY WRITING SERVICES on: January 09, 2020, 12:49:12 PM
Hey! I'm searching something like that right now. Are you still here? I have some questions.

I don't know what made you choose OP's services over any other experienced people in this field when you can clearly see their silly spelling mistakes in the image posted in OP. I know that this thread is old and you may hardly get any response from OP, but what if you get what's shown in their image itself - an essay full of spelling mistakes! Will you take time to check everything? If yes, then OP's services aren't worth it.

Even I can do this better than OP if you want to try out something peppery. Smiley

Let me try my luck this time. I've not been that good over speculation games as I most likely end up guessing a number that goes far from what the actual output comes up. Hope this one settles in my range and doesn't make an April fool of mine.  Grin

Today, I was contacted by a person...
SCAM! That is all I needed to hear.

Unfortunately stuff like that has been around for a while now. Take a look at this thread and the exact same pattern. Even the site name is similar. The person who contacted you used https://betxloot.com/ and this guy (who might be the same person) used Bitxbet.org

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5091487.0

Wow, literally the same shit, the same pattern and he tried it after a year, wow! However, I've got a surprise for you all, I don't know how but I captured this (forgot actually and while going through my photos, I got this):

Enjoy this bastard's name, username and bio and I hope he/she will not contact / scam you at any cost. Stay aware, stay safe.
1884  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: MIner Question on: January 03, 2020, 12:44:13 PM
--snip--

Plus ask you yourselves, "Will miners, developers, and users truly leave Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash or SV"?

I don't really think that anybody would leave or divert or shift (whatever you call it) their mining power to any shit coins unless BTC's security becomes questionable and encounters the possible attacks OP started talking about. It's not just the 51% attack alone that could destroy BTC but the interest of miners is one another major consensus that could leave you, me and everyone empty handed as well as scratching our heads off if they ever decide to drop this Bitcoin thing right there because of their personal (possible) losses that they may face because of lower prices and not being able to even break even, and as many miners mine for economic gains too, if they see more profits while mining other 2 coins you talked about (and even any other coin they think to be the next Bitcoin and what not), it will literally do a lot of harm to the economy of BTC and may slide it down from its (1st) position that it has been holding since a decade.

TBZ winning them great games.

That one was outstanding. Yeah, while I was checking the website name before posting it here, I just saw many names from Bitcointalk which literally shows that some member of this community only is the owner of that website, else how can anyone randomly contact me and how come we have our lovely Bitcointalk members playing on their website? That owner is using and creating random users on the website with reputed names of Bitcointalk, and is visiting our profiles to check if we've shared our TG here, then he's targeting us all. Don't fall.

Quote
All in all, good find. I wanted to check the website out. All looks good, fancy, flashy animations. But on a deeper check, you can see that everything from the chat to the balances to the game system is just fake. (Just check the chat, that's enough.) No site owner (or an admin) would deliberately kill their site anyway. Never believe in free coins.

Noticed one more thing that even if there are 2 bettors one of whom bets (let's suppose) $78 and the another one bets $250 (which totals it to $328) and the round completes, I've seen the winner of that round getting around $1026.xx, I mean how's that possible? It shows that they're just trying to pull in users to get the deposits, then make them lose and enjoy the free money they'll have.
1886  Other / Beginners & Help / [BUSTED] A new type of scam has arrived. on: January 03, 2020, 11:19:05 AM
Hi friends, here I'm, your brother Stedsm with an updated version of a scam you all may not be aware of, as well as may also get trapped if I don't make you aware of it. So, let's start without any more shit.

Today, I was contacted by a person named Hamsi Puerta (written in his telegram name).
Unknown to me completely, I asked him who is he? He replied that he is Peter from Canada. I never knew any such guy during my whole life, so I asked him what's the matter. He asked me whether I know about crypto and would like to earn some bitcoins? I thought to go ahead with the conversation as I wanted to know if it's a new type of scam or old school again so I said Yes. He asked me to visit https://betxloot.com/, a place where you need to bet some BTC which will convert and show USD instead in the total jackpot, each round seems to be of 2 minutes which starts when at least 2 players place bets each. So, he told me that he is from their support team and he came to know about a flaw that, even though the algorithm of the website chooses a random winner every time, this flaw could fetch him constant wins during each round. He told me that he can't play with his BTC as his addresses and transactions are being monitored by the team as he looked suspicious to them and so, he wants me to play it there on their website and he'll make me a winner every time or every 3-4 rounds. He then asked me to go to the site and give him any player's name I want to choose as a winner, so I gave him and he did what he said exactly, he just made that player a winner of that round.

The catch starts now
After a long story of what I saw and how he tried to convince me, I just asked him to get to the point and let me know what do I need to do. He asked me to make a new account there and deposit BTC0.01 to their site and play, then he'll make me a winner whenever I'll place a bet. I said that I don't have BTC so if you want, you can send me some and I'll bet with yours and we can share 50-50. He started abusing and then just deleted the whole chat history and blocked me as well as deleted the chat too, so unfortunately I couldn't capture the images as it didn't took a second for him to delete everything.

How can it be a scam?
Well, 3 things are for sure:
- He is trying to lure you to play with your money on their site and even if you win, they don't pay you anything and it may prove scam as the website came into existence on 23-11-2019 (check their whois) while we don't have any reviews nor heard about then ever before.
- He is trying to bring players to their website through all this shit he talked in front of me.
- He may not make you a winner and you may lose all of your capital, or he may just show you 3-4 wins and ask you to bet all, you go all in and bang, you're fucked.

Whatever, if you are going to play there, DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, I'm not recommending you to play there at all and it's not a game for small fishes as minimum bet itself is BTC0.01 /jk
Don't fall for these schemes, especially newbies. I've tried my best to elaborate the situation I faced so that you may not suffer but in the end, it's your mind and your choice so use your brain wisely.

@yahoo62278,
If you're sleeping or out of forum at the moment, I guess it's time for you to show your power to these spammers who are literally adding nothing but shit to this thread. Is this thread meant for what's being done to it? I guess not. You made it available (unlocked) for the reporters and spambusters to bust these shitsuckers and red trust guys and keep the campaign clean, I know that you're doing your job great but I guess you should lock this thread and let the reporters report these spammers' shitposts directly to mods or PM you their links here or through telegram. This will do one thing good and that is, these guys won't get a chance to either change the content they already spewed or just delete it right away before you see them. Rest is your decision, but nobody would like to see these talks here that doesn't really belong to this thread as it's all off-topic discussion they are carrying here and also earning some pennies for the same.
1888  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin EVER have a bigger blocksize? Is there hope? on: December 31, 2019, 02:16:32 PM
Really, I don't get this why do you want such ridiculous changes in Bitcoin's protocol? Go get an alt that can simply do the job for you if you are ^not so satisfied^ with what Satoshi has done (and the rest of the developers are doing) to keep the project alive and running. If you want bigger block size in BTC, instead go for XRP, LTC or DOGE to get your transactions confirmed quicker. Why do you need a change in something when the whole consensus is against you? Stop being the "Albert Einstein" of Bitcoin.

Trust me, you shouldn't fight for the block size, but about settling more transactions in the blocks that either go empty or are left with some space.
1889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Accidentely delete address before I receive fund on: December 31, 2019, 11:36:36 AM
--snip--

It doesn't take 9 or 11 hours to transfer bitcoin. He's fooling you!

It does take some hours for some transactions when the mempool gets stuck at higher SATs/byte due to more clog and the sender sent the coins with ~0 - 0.5 SATs/byte during that time. I was watching some transactions yesterday where some 0 fee transactions were not going through for hours during the mempool clog when minimum fee to get in early changed to 5 SATs/byte. Another thing is, even if the coins were sent with least fee, it is acceptable that some block explorers don't show the transaction till it gets accepted into a block. But that doesn't mean that the wallet won't show up, so yeah I agree that the sender didn't send anything to OP as of yet.
1890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: sent my btc wrong on: December 31, 2019, 07:53:42 AM
This is what I like and don't like about bitcoin transactions.
if the transaction has been confirmed the block is declared to be a valid transaction.
but that makes it difficult for our funds to return we have to know the owner of the bitcoin address (here is the most difficult point)

What would you do if a clipboard virus is injected in your PC and you copy some address but the virus changes the address in the clipboard with the one it is intended to send to? Is it your fault or Bitcoin's? It's definitely yours because you aren't mature enough to check the address and then send everything in a hurry. I mean, what the hell? Why do you guys don't do a double check before sending BTC to any address?

Let me.shoe you an example which is one of some mistakes I encountered (but thank God I checked it and didn't withdrew my coins from the exchange):
I used Brave browser to use my VPN and login to the exchange.
Then, went to "withdraw" section and decided to take my coins out. Then copied the address of my wallet which was a legacy address and pasted it in the withdrawal address box.
Then, suddenly the fear of paying higher fee while spending my coins from a legacy address struck my mind (yeah, I know not much fee now but I'm talking about the time when fees were above 20k SATs for instant confirmations) and I decided to use a SegWit address instead starting with 3.
I copied it from the same wallet and then tried to paste it in the withdrawal address box, but when I tapped "paste", it pasted the legacy address once again instead of the SegWit one which means that the clipboard in Brave didn't update while, when I tried to paste it in other apps, it worked fine. Then I opened a new tab in Brave browser and pasted it in the address bar and SegWit address was pasted there, I copied it from the address bar and then pasted it in the withdrawal box and voila, it worked! But this shows that you need to be very much aware of the possibilities because it's not just limited to viruses and hacks, sometimes your least stupidity becomes your worst enemy to make you lose your everything.

Additionally, Mycelium allows you to stop your transaction from getting broadcasted (only if you're lucky enough while the transaction fails to broadcast). You can cancel the "already done" transaction (read my words two times, "already done" doesn't mean "already sent") if it was not broadcasted to the network and failed, but there's a small line worth of a chance with least odds of something happening like that.
1891  Other / Meta / Re: FREE MERIT COME FAST BEFORE I RUN OUT [Happy Holidays] on: December 28, 2019, 06:54:29 AM
I am a fan of almost each and every user of the forum who did something good not just in the interest of forum members, but also crossed limits to favor some members who have lost something financially. I don't need a merit for this post, it's just that I want to -

- Thank theymos and Satoshi to give us all a privilege to be a part of Bitcointalk and esp. Bitcoins
- Thank you Hhampuz to let me write in such a wonderful thread
- And last but not the least as well as the most important person of Bitcointalk - Zepher

First of all, I'd like to tell you guys how I came to know about Zepher. It was 4 months ago when I visited Hhampuz's profile while searching for something, and saw that he had a personal text stating, "Zepher, you are forever in our memories". It engaged curiosity with my mind that who Zepher is, and I googled his name with the term Bitcointalk and found many threads about Zepher and what he did for the community - a great collector, an extreme helper who went limits to help out people with BTCC coins and whatever he did, he did splendid with open heart. He will always be remembered for his kindness, friendly nature and dedication towards the community.

Do i need to dumpwallet my latest keys in my rpc then import it all to latest updated electrum wallet?

If dumpwallet does the job by exporting your private keys to you in a file, then yes, you just need to

Use 'Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys' for prv keys | 'Standard wallet-> Use a master key' if you have the extended key to create the wallet.

And you are done. All you need to do is wait for Electrum to sync as it will not download the whole Blockchain data on your PC and rather uses their server to gather the information while you can still do the transactions, almost immediately every time you open your wallet.
1893  Local / India / Re: Bitcoin Ban Means India Will Get More Corrupt Under Modi — Tim Draper on: December 25, 2019, 04:34:33 AM
I agree to this point! The size of crypto community is too small to have an impact on the economy or even to the government, and that's good! Till the time this current regressive government doesn't bother about it, we are good! The moment they start thinking about it, we can only expect negative things!

I guess that when they have started diverging everyone's mind from the main topics like inflation and rapes to things like CAA and NCR, I think they have become so overactive that I believe the next number is going to be crypto's. They have been absorbing every single citizen of India and want us all to work like their slaves (yeah, fuck freedom, fuck Independence) and so, if some day they come up with a "perfect" law according to their mentality, to stop crypto, they'll do anything to mess up with our lives and not let us do what we want to do. This is why, rich gets richer and poor gets poorer in our country. Btw, Merry Christmas to everyone and a bump to this thread and the board too while I want to say - "ITNA SANNATA KYUN HAI, BHAI?"

I saw his work with the What IF, it was brought in terms of bringing something new. I never thought to use "What IF" this way although I've already used these 2 words before, so many times.

Ah, that is something I'd prefer to say like, that's typical of us "HUMANS" to help each other whenever we need each other because I don't believe in racism nor casteism, simple humanity is the only religion I follow. Glad to see that almost all the replies here are suggesting to help the victims instead of enjoying their winnings (and I bet that not all those who posted here are Filipinos). Don't take it personally (or wrongly), but humanity comes first. Wink

Before this year ends you finally get to win a Jackpot then suddenly a big disaster came up out of nowhere then brings an outrage for people outside. Would you care to enjoy your winnings for yourself? Or be a good human being to help to save others.

I'd definitely go for the 2nd option and go out, help others to get relief.

Quote
If you're going to be a good fellow human, what's the first thing you'll gonna do?

Some would suggest you that if you won a huge amount through that jackpot, you should just donate them to the "BLAH BLAH RELIEF FUND" right away (put President, Prime Minister or any other specific relief funds that assure you that they will do anything for the safety of the victims of the disaster). My take on this is a bit different from what others would do here because I'm a traveler and I know that I can go to a number of places where I can directly help them with food and clothes if not shelter (I can even try to get them the material for them to create camps under which they can take shelter too).

So,
- I'll just buy enough groceries from wholesale markets and hire someone to create 2 types of foods - dry and liquid. I'll then classify them both by getting them packed differently
- I'll go to wholesale clothes markets and buy clothes according to what the victims' situation demands (based on the type of disaster)
- I'll go buy trekking camps' material from wholesale markets so to get as much material as possible
- Now, last but not least I'd just get a helicopter or jet plane on rent (I hope I can easily get one as I won a jackpot here), take all those things with me and then go to the affected places, meet those victims and personally give all these things to them as it'll satisfy my mind that everything reached to them successfully without any third party/ mediator involved.

As you saw, I mentioned that "I'm a traveler", so whatever I'm doing, my helping job consists of too much traveling to so many places to get it done. So, there's no reason why I won't enjoy my jackpot as though I didn't use it for myself, but I'll have the delight that the money was gone towards the right purpose, and I'll take it as if the money came to me to fulfil that same purpose maybe. I made a bet and it is still showing as ONGOING.
I wish to know that when I was able to see a winner and the bet also shows a crown ahead the name of the one I bet upon, why should it be pushed and send me my bet back only? Shouldn't it be settled as a "WIN" instead and I should get the whole winning amount instead of just giving me my bet amount?

Anyways, let's talk something serious, even if it gets banned in India, we've got so many ways to trade crypto, the only thing it'll involve is risk but uske bina kuchh possible hai hi nahi. Mountain Dew piyo, risk uthao aur khulke jiyo. Wink
Even if we got using cryptos if India banned, there is no serious issue just need to spend few thousands or lakhs based on the amount involved in your trading for bribing the officials involved. Smiley

How do you think is it possible to get caught in the first place? I haven't seen any person in my circle (who trades with almost 100% anonymity except the bank account, some even use third party accounts to keep themselves safe from being caught that way too) have been contacted by any banks or Gov authorities as they know how to play safe. You need little bit of patience and lots of awareness to get it done under the hood and never get caught.

Rapists are free in India, why crypto holders should be jailed?

Rapists will surely reach their destination - death, very soon when people will start taking laws in their hands and then break them (which is already started since CAA has been proposed).

Crypto holders are not criminals and hence, even if these guys will make any fucking laws to stop us, we've even got a list of law-abiding people involved with us who'll help us in evading those laws. I don't really want to go the bad way but if they want that only, let it be. See, some day, our Sarkar will start calling us "Aatankwadis" or "Naksalwadis" if we keep doing what were doing even after the ban, but you know? There are some places where we are actually right and these bald-brained (dimag shave karva chuke hain ye) dicksuckers are wrong.

Bitcoin ban will mean that the democracy talks in our country are just talks and we are still the slaves who can't use their rights to stop these assholes from what they are doing these days. BJP (BHharat ki Jhand karne wali Party) is sucking the mango people (aam aadmi) literally like they eat mangoes. Saale chus chuske fekte jaa rahe hain, and and seriously, agar inhe apni Gau Mata jesi country India ko bechke koi fayda hota ho to ye usse bhi pichhe nahi hatne wale. Not against any party but talking about the ruling party because they are the only ones who will be deciding our and the country's future. Yes, "our" isliye kaha kyunki ye log kitne hi logon ko beggar beghar aur laachar bana rahe hain, aur country ka koi future hai hi nahi kyunki his tarah ye Sarkar hume chala rahi hai, I don't think hum mein se koi bhi khudko is desh ka "NAGRIK" kehlana pasand karega.

Anyways, let's talk something serious, even if it gets banned in India, we've got so many ways to trade crypto, the only thing it'll involve is risk but uske bina kuchh possible hai hi nahi. Mountain Dew piyo, risk uthao aur khulke jiyo. Wink
