2481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: April 26, 2017, 01:11:03 AM
I think altcoin is a factor, the presence of altcoin create a bitcoin be # 1, they will be the promotion of coins to new users and pay with bitcoin thus helping bitcoin popular.

I do agree that it is one factor.

Altcoins are making bitcoin to look more valuable. If one new investor is on its way to invest in an altcoin then sees the future of bitcoin also then there will be a chance that he will turn into a bitcoin investor also.

There is nothing more better in making bitcoin number 1 than addinh more users into it. Adding more demands in the process.
Altcoins help bitcoin, but bitcoin helps altcoins too, bitcoin has proved that the concept of a crypto currency is possible and now the rest of the coins are cashing on this knowledge by getting way more investors they could have gotten since bitcoin keeps going to strong after almost 10 years.
2482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins price can be manipulate? on: April 26, 2017, 01:07:59 AM
Is it true, Altcoins price can be manipulate?
I see so many peoples in any Ann thread of altcoins ask for pump and dump. I just don't understand, is this how cryptocurrencies works? While forex trading market move by good news or bad news in around the world.
If Dev or big holders can easy manipulate the price of some altcoins, I think it's not interesting anymore.
Of course the price can be manipulated, if the price of bitcoin can be manipulated when so much more money moves in bitcoin then it  is logical to assume that altcoins are way easier to manipulate, but don’t worry it is not a permanent thing, the manipulation can only las so much.
2483  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading VS Bitcoin! on: April 26, 2017, 01:01:35 AM
Since the existence of the bitcoin make trading ways change, first I must deposit with wire transfer to the bank, when the verification takes a long time because of the need to submit proof of the transfer, but after the existence of the bitcoin make deposits and withdraw becomes easier.
Bitcoin makes things easier. Now we may already know forex, but because of the bitcoin trading we can switch. Trading bitcoin into a way that most preferred traders in the world. They easily and quickly understand how bitcoin prices move well in world financial markets.
Another benefit of bitcoin is that you can begin to trade with sums of money that are ridiculous low compared to what you will need in forex, in forex you need at least a few hundred dollars and probably you need more than that a few thousands, but in bitcoin you can begin trading with very few dollars.
2484  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: April 25, 2017, 01:09:52 AM
Hello All,

What you think is the best investment to gain steady income in btc without actively doing anything?
So no trading/gambling/loaning etc.

Steady income more likely to be 'small & secure' than 'big & risky'.

Thanks,
BR Oinas
I don’ think you are going to be able to find anything close to what you are looking if you want a  steady income you need to be prepared to work hard for it, trading can give good profits but it is not a source of steady income your best bet will be to find a job that pays in bitcoin.
2485  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: April 25, 2017, 01:07:50 AM
We need to sell our coins at some point to consolidate our profits, also at the time there is not a lot of places where we can spend our bitcoins directly so it is not like we can live completely out of the grid so it is better to sell a part of our stash if we need it.
2486  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we didnt had idiots blocking segwit we would be sittting on 4 figures by now on: April 25, 2017, 01:03:10 AM
Even without segwit activated bitcoin has been able to reach new all time highs and even thought FUD was able to crash the price for a few days and weeks we are back to where we were before the FUD and I don’t see a reason why bitcoin could not go even higher.
2487  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction 2017 on: April 25, 2017, 01:00:25 AM
Many predict that bitcoin prices could reach $ 2,000 by the end of this year. But I think it is very difficult to happen, although possible, maybe it will not be stable. Maybe the highest and stable price that can be achieved this year may be around $ 1800, and maybe it will be achieved in October to December.
A stable 2000 is very far away, we have been unable to reach a stable 1300 so I don’t think we are not going to see that price for bitcoin for a long time, however it may happen that bitcoin could touch that price for a few days if a mega bubble were to happen.
2488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: April 25, 2017, 12:57:28 AM
Cannot, the bank is the official institution that full supported by the Government's, all done through the bank such as economic policy. bitcoin can't possibly eliminate and make the bank disappear even though used en masse.
Correct and also the goal of bitcoin is not to make banks disappear, the goal of bitcoin is to allows to have an alternative to the banking system and that is something we can do already, although with some difficulties but as time passes it will become easier.
But this time more users will makes bitcoin as their primary investment than banks, because we can see the opportunity to get much better income by putting money in bitcoin due to faster increase of value unlike in the bank you money will increase too slow because of lower interest of your savings.
If you think bitcoin is a way better option than banks then there is nothing and no one that will stop you from investing most of your money in bitcoin and that way earn more money, but if you want even bigger returns then you could try to invest in altcoins.

I confirm I received payment thanks secondstrade and hopefully everything gets resolved.
2490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: April 20, 2017, 12:29:35 AM
It depends on how long in the future we are talking a year, 5 years 10 years? The longest the time frame the more difficult it becomes to try to get any prediction right, but I think Litecoin, ETH and monero are sure things, I don’t know how much they will be worth but I think those coins have the potential to keep on existing for a very long time.
2491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin are you currently supporting, and Why? on: April 20, 2017, 12:26:57 AM
I’m supporting monero because I think something like it needs to be incorporated to bitcoin so bitcoin becomes a truly anonymous currency similar to cash and also because that will help the fungibility of the coins.
2492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: April 20, 2017, 12:24:09 AM
It still the most expensive and the first created and that's why it have a lot of attention. I think it's possible go over bitcoin and create other altcoin which gonna replace and it can have any name. People think that bitcoin is ideal because of the name but that's not right in some period any altcoin can replace it with any other name but have better features
Yes ,but its not that expensive ,we knew that bitcoins exist a long time ago and it proves his stability also the main thing was bitcoins is connected in the sense of blockchain rather than any altcoin even it has a big marketcap. Provided with the acceptance and legalization of bitcoins even there are better ones .Its too hard that any altcoin go over bitcoin ,however everything might happen in the future .
I will disagree with the long time ago thing, bitcoin is not even a decade old in the world of currencies that is relatively new so it is not surprise some people may be put off by that fact and decide to not invest or to not consider a serious project because of tis relatively young age.
2493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a bagholder? Which altcoins do you hold? on: April 20, 2017, 12:20:39 AM
I feel sorry for all bagholders in bitcointalk peace Cry
Why!! What's wrong in holding altcoins. If you see the price of bitcoin is super stable currently as most investors are driven towards altcoins as they have less market cap and pumping would be way easier. If you are a bag holder who knows maybe the next pump is the coin you are holding.
The problem with holding alts, is that most of them disappear and then you are forever holding it since no one will buy since they have no value, that is why it is dangerous to hold for a long time, there are very few alts worth holding in substantial amounts.
2494  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading VS Bitcoin! on: April 20, 2017, 12:17:51 AM
Trading is much more better than mining once you have learnt all the rudiments of trading and becomes full time trader making profit will be consistent. But in mining you have deplore all the tools involved and it consumes a lot of power i.e electricity and takes much time.

It's a traders perspective but for miners they are going to say that mining is much better than trading. It depends on where you are having gains, but since I don't have mining rig and I know how to trade and it gives me some good amount after some pumps and dumps, I will choose also that trading is better than mining.

Yes, it all depends the perspective you are looking through. For me, both, trading and mining don't worth very much, because I don't have trading skills and I don't have a mining farm to earn BTCs, so I prefer investments where I can put my money and receive passive income from the investment I made. It's not the most profitable method, but it's the safest method.
It could be argued that trading is way safer than investing since most investments that you can find in bitcoin are not really investments but a money drain or a scam to begin with, in trading there are no scams the only thing you need to worry about is to do a bad trade and the occasional hack.
2495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction 2017 on: April 19, 2017, 12:23:15 AM
This is not the best year for bitcoin, but by the end of the year he will be able to grow a little. I think it will reach 1500-2000 $.
Based on what? Magic pony's ?
Every trader/speculator does not need to have reasons/supporting factors, just their intuitions is more than enough for them to predict better. I do see almost of 90% of people are just listening to their inner thoughts to make decisions for their trading/investments. Surprisingly they are right most of the times.

You may call it luck/magic pony/blind, but they do believe it as God's touch.

Yes, many traders do not develop instructions for trading, but simply trust their intuition. On the one hand, it is very dangerous.
They have a set of guidelines when they trade, but they have become so good and so fast that you think they are not doing anything special when in fact they are running very fast calculations in their heads and deciding if trading a particular coin is worth it.

2497  Economy / Speculation / Re: My take on BU's long-term impact on the price of BTC on: April 19, 2017, 12:09:54 AM

Not really. Segwit support is slightly going up, yes but it is not something to celebrate over. We should give it more time.

Like I said, I'm not a SegWit supporter per se, I'm just glad that miners are using it as an excuse to fight BU.

Do you really think that will happen after their investment in ASIC and very large mining farms? They will impose their will on the network and use dirty tactics to get what they want.

Well, so far you've been wrong. Let's hope this continues to be the case. BU will hardfork before it gets activated, that's a near guarantee by this point.
I doubt BU will have enough support to cause a fork. It's as strong as Ver's money, meaning that as long as he's making it a personal hobby and uses money to promote it it's getting somewhere, but it's a lost cause. People just don't like the idea, period. No amount of promotion or attempts to make fun of Bitcoin's current state via btc.com will make it happen.
You can never be so sure about that, if BU support gets close to 50% some other miners that have remained neutral could show support to BU just too get activated and finally get some kind of solution approved even if they don’t agree fully with the solution.
2498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: April 18, 2017, 01:46:50 AM
The reason bitcoin will be always be number one is because of its  thousands loyal users. Bitcoin is now used by many companies. Gambling, services, and buying or selling of goods. Its the first made cryptocurrency so definitely it has to be the number one.
While that is without a doubt important it does not tell the full story, bitcoin for a long of time did not have many users or a lot of money flowing into it and it still survived that period so bitcoin has more than just users taking advantage of its characteristics.
2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion about Dash on: April 18, 2017, 01:45:03 AM
Anyone who is using the term premine with Dash clearly does not know the meaning of the word
premine and therefore should really look up the definition of that word. They make themself look
like a fool using that word.

You can use coinmarketcap to see which cryptocurrencies are premined, you will not find Dash
classified as premined there as it never was premined.

This seems an issue of semantics more than anything but even if the term is incorrectly used it does not change the reality that a significant amount of coins were mined in a very small amount of time the terminology does not change that.
2500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a bagholder? Which altcoins do you hold? on: April 18, 2017, 01:39:41 AM
for now i holding bitsend and nexus..
this coin very good future, because it has a great vision and mission

I haven't read or heard these coins though I'm planning to hold and buy another coin. Because right now I've got XMR, ETH and DASH which are popular coins. I want to try out those who are not familiar with many but does have a chance to pump, I don't want those pump and dump coins, I want that has a very well road map.
I think we all want the same but if you really want that then you really need to put into some work and see if any of the coins has known developers that have developed another coins successfully or if the project solves an issue that currently exists.
