2502  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Rumors on: July 27, 2013, 10:12:52 PM
BTCGUILD has announced this:
"Since all other outlets are announcing this even though it was not supposed to happen until August 1, yes, USB Block Erupters are having a price cut!

USB Block Erupters are now on sale at 0.60 BTC per device (free shipping to US). A huge number of units are en route, which will clear the backorder, and leave roughly 1,000 units available for next day shipping by August 1.

If you ordered an Erupter at 1 BTC, all is not lost yet. A coupon program is being initiated by ASICMINER and distributed by BTC Guild. 30% of the units sold at 1 BTC will be eligible to purchase a 2nd unit for 0.10 BTC (+0.05 Shipping/Handling). The exact method of coupon distribution will be announced when coupon units arrive, which should be around August 5th."

I've setup #15 at .55 btc: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=263577.0

regarding .10, I will follow the expected coup distribution, per manufacturers parameters.  Once it is available, those eligible will be notified with redeeming instructions.  Grin
Confirmed here as well. 30 percent coupon at 0.10 btc. If you ordered 4 or more from me in the past and I have not contacted you yet, please PM me and I will have further details. Thank you!
Nice going!  I am NOT limiting coupon based on the number ordered from me. if you ordered and you are qualified for a coupon, you get it as my customer.

Looking at your new price I can only infer that the rumors about a price drop and 0.1 BTC for prior customers were true.

Can you confirm?

Yeah... Now we are past the point of rumors if this pricing is being offered. Someone has to speak up. :/

.55 per device includes shipping.  Shipping out to you Monday 07/29/2013.
International shipping add 1.17 btc per order.
All orders placed as of 9:40 AM (payment received) are shipping out Monday, today see my note on this thread as to how many are left
New orders will ship out Wednesday/Thursday or Friday at the latest.

working on labels... Plenty of stock available to ship your order on Monday

I am 4 miles from a MAJOR DHL hub that receives these orders from China.  My delivery times are the best.  packages sent to me by ASICMiner are in my hand the same day they enter US.  They do not take an extra day or two to travel the country to get to me.  It takes me 11 minutes to drive to DHL when necessary.   My location is in a major metropolitan area next to a LARGE international airport that is a hub for shipping for all delivery companies.  This gives me access to DHL, FedEx (also just 4 miles away, open till 9 PM for next day shipping).  I have access to several Post Offices around me.  I can ship USPS till 7 PM.  I ship to you the same day I receive my delivery.  Simply put, I am in the best position geographically and logistically to receive an order and to get it out to you ASAP.  Period.

Status updates:
2013-07-27: #15 setup
2013-07-27: don't have enough funds to order?  Consider using www.bitinstant.com  to fund via money gram deposit directly to your (NOT mine!!!) bitcoin address.  bitcoins are sent to you as soon as that cash is deposited at your local wallmart, cvs, jewel etc...
2013-07-27: HOW TO SIGN A MESSAGE TO ME (YOUR SHIPPING INFO): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195647.msg2291965#msg2291965 Please NOTE: the above example is NOT the same as sending a signed message with your transaction. If you are new to this (aka noob), please read this so that you understand what to do.  This is the single most problematic step in the ordering process.  Here's how to sign a message with a blockchain.info wallet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=180068.0
2013-07-27: This group is now open to international orders.  It is limited to those countries where FedEx can deliver.  I charge an additional 1.17 btc for the first pound of weight to ship internationally.  the minimum weight I can specify with FedEx is 1 pound.  It takes a hell of alot of these units to weigh 1 pound.  I reserve the right to switch carriers if I can not use FedEx to your location.  for international only: please include your phone number that will go on the fedex shipping label
Current Orders:

When will I receive my order? Answer: I ship out on Monday.  Once I run out of stock, will make an announcement here and will take back-orders.

Folks and miners,

As announced in the Block Erupter USB Sales thread, I want to support the ordering of Block Erupter USBs

Next Steps:
Collect orders for ASICMiner Block Erupter USBs.

Product Description:

    payment accepted is Bitcoin ONLY.
Each one mines at more than 330MH/s, powered only by the USB port.
It serves as a replacement of GPUs for mining hobbyists.
Your GPUs could be freed from calculating hashes and resume rendering for you.
It is also a perfect gift for getting people to learn about Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining.
    The Sapphire Batch:
This is the first batch under production in quantity.
Color of PCB changed to blue
Adding a LED which blinks when a share is found
    Fixing the cgminer compatibility problem
Reducing the heat generated and the current to <500mA

Pricing:

.55 per unit, shipping included.
Total for your order is C = .55 * N (where N is the number of units you wish to purchase)
You can upgrade to USPS Express or FedEx.  you need to contact me for a quote based on the # of miners you wish to have shipped (weight dependent).

Domestic Insurance:

Communication:
I live in Chicago (CST time zone: UTC/GMT -5 hours) and have a day-job that allows me ample time to devote to this endeavor. I do sleep at night, so if I don't answer at night, please be patient.  I'm pretty open and transperant with info.  I post it as soon as I have it, I do not withhold from anyone.  Please respect everyone's time.

Cheers,

Canary

Running from the command line and passing -rescan might work.

If not, you can download a latest set of the block*.dat files and use the -reindex command line option.

Typically, one of those fixes it for me.  I go in that order, because the first might work without requiring downloading of anything.
running -rescan didn't resolve it Sad

delete peers.dat. you're connected to a cancer node thats why you are showing out of sync.
cancer node?

just try it.
i forced it to download from begining... so I can't tell what peers.dat removal would do... I get this issue often enough that I can try just the peers.dat removal next time...
can I speed up the download by increasing the 8 connections somehow?

Should we gather a group of people to develop a Chip or a miner, which can greatly reduce the cost to mine since Canary already sold nearly $600,000 worth of USB miners. For that money, the entirely possible to develop chips and miner.

If you are interested in investing in a project involving custom low cost ASIC and miners you might want to check out Labcoin. I am assisting in the IPO on btct.co and Labcoin is aiming to raise $600k for a already developed and in production low cost/high efficiency 130 nm ASIC chip that will result in highly competitive miners for sale to the public, as well as 65 nm development and Bircoin mining.

We expect the IPO to be ready for vote and public release shortly.

You can find information on the project under the custom hardware forum and soon under the securities thread.
I'd like to know what Luke-Jr has to say about Labcoin...

I hope Luke will see the IPO thread and at least say hi and take a look at the Labcoin tech/plans. Sorry if I derailed the thread a little, not my intent.

in case you didn't know, Luke calls every, other than btc, crypto currency scamcoin

Oh, I think you may have misunderstood my posts. Labcoin is simply the name of the company I represent in the IPO. We are developing ASIC and building miners for Bitcoin. No alt-crap. Smiley
apparently so.. the name confused me... weren't you gonna send me something?
