Going to sleep for a few hours so if you order, don't freak out if I don't answer PM between 3 am 8 am CET. First order received for a miner btw. Thx
good night! i'll take one of those I mentioned to you
3083  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] BFL 4 GH/s Chips - .60 btc per chip: 3300 available on: June 18, 2013, 07:09:35 AM
This group buy is now officially open!  Let's go!!
3084  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC Chip PCB Design/Manufacturing & Assembly on: June 18, 2013, 06:21:34 AM
Myself and another person from the BFL forums are working on a separate board from the one released by BFL, although it is nice to see it out there. I agree with skrivitor, there's a lot that is missing from that dump.
It *may* be possible to rebuild a full BoM from the PDF schematic, but if I were going to be spending a good sum on getting boards built I wouldn't be using the old Single board that's been relegated to the Jalapeno unless I was under a significant time crunch.
please stay on contact.  I'm looking for boards  Grin

Sigh... great... YAAC (yet another asic scam) ?
3086  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: single BFL chip USB Miner idea (evolved to Furby) on: June 18, 2013, 05:38:59 AM
OK, so it's a dumb idea... nevermind.

what about other interfaces, do any deliver required power for a single chip? POE? firewire maybe?

I hate external power supplies...

Not at all a dumb idea. The jalapeņos are still using first gen chips, 2 of them and a PCB build for originally up to 8 chips.

According to the power spec for the new chips is a power consumption of 3.2 w per GH. This may not be 'USB only' territory but I think a small 1-chip design could still be an interesting proposition for 4 gh/s single chip miners.
so 3.2 *4 = 12.8W, POE is good for 31.6 W i think, so we can have an 8GH/s device designed using 2 chips that can connect to POE....
Hmmmm, i call it "Furby"... cause they would mysteriously fill up all IT closets and all available POE ports on network switches...

anyone want to take this Furby design up?  what would motivate you?

Would it have fur, a beak, and glossy, soul-less eyes? If so, count me in!
the next, must have toy for Christmas... LOL

3089  Bitcoin / Hardware / single BFL chip USB Miner idea (evolved to Furby) on: June 18, 2013, 04:37:01 AM
do you think it's possible to design a USB miner based on a single BFL chip where the USB stick has 2 ports at both ends.
one plugs into a USB port, draws some amount of power and is used for communication, the other end of the USB is plugged into a second, separate USB port via a short USB extension cable.  can additional power be delivered from the second USB connection to provide enough power to the chip?
so it would look like a USB stick but with a USB plug at both ends...
possible? or am i asking a dumb question?

what's his handle on this forum? I'll contact him too, but the place I sent the files to, didn't complain and said they will provide quotes

This seems to be him.

thanks! sent him a PM
3091  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL chips selling thread on: June 18, 2013, 04:27:31 AM
I have 2 coupons to sell, payment must be in BTC.  Please PM me any offers.
Bogart is looking for some, please contact him: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=10102

I've got 2 coupons that I am willing to sell, but I don't want any paypal payment, just BTC.

Bogart is looking for some atm: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=10102
3093  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] 768 + 4 Chip BFL Credit on: June 18, 2013, 04:12:19 AM
I have 768 credits in one account and 4 more on other account to sell.

Make your bids here or pm.

INFO: I have a minimum of  $10USD for each code. But I'm open to negotiate. PM
now you decide to have a minimum?? I believe Transisto has this at the moment, so you should honor your auction post.  his offer is $1.28 per credit which is 3 cents higher than what they've been selling for today.
3094  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] 768 BFL chip credits on: June 18, 2013, 04:07:52 AM
comments on this auction?
too much and auction is too long.
3095  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 16 Chip BFL Credit on: June 18, 2013, 04:06:58 AM
50 USD for all 16 chips
I'm out.
3096  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL chips selling thread on: June 18, 2013, 03:54:13 AM
buddy i understand more than you. your just mad i didnt sell mine to you. Also i understand that i have been offer twice your amount scam artist!
No, I'm not mad actually.  Don't know why you assume that.  I'm not your buddy either.

If I have scammed you put up some proof and leave feedback to that effect.  It doesn't reflect well on you to accuse me of scamming.

Who's gonna do it?

There are so so so many options to get Avalon chips assembled... almost too many.

Hopefully at least one of you are planning on doing the same for BFL chips???

Before I plop down $7k on 100 chips, I'd like to know I will have somewhere to get them assembled.  Grin
sent the files to a local place in Chicago here.  waiting for quotes "Quoting quantity for all 3 projects will be: 10, 100, 500, 1k and 5k.Grin
the other projects are Klondike 1 and 16

It seems the files they released are not enough to simply hand it over to a manufacturing company.

"@BFL_Nasser - could you post a zipped project? It would be great to have the Schematic elements as well as the PCB. A packaged project would be ideal.

These files are not enough to build a decent board without a lot of fiddling, especially if one wanted to go to a full production run. It would take about 2 weeks to get a serious Altium project out of this with all of the supply chain and schematic elements in place.

If anyone is seriously working on a BFL ASIC based project, I am an electronic engineer with a decade of experience and an up to date seat and subscription to Altium Designer. I made a quick dump of the final artwork for the PCB, but this needs a lot more 'paperwork' and documentation before it can be manufactured. @BillJ BitforceSC-finalprints-UNFORMATTED-17062013.pdf"

3099  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN Worldwide] Group Buy #6 @86/50 ASICMiner Erupter USB 2.04236 ea. @ 5 units on: June 18, 2013, 03:39:47 AM
I don't want to speak too soon, but after reading a bunch of posts, here's what I did to finally get cgminer working.

Created the file:
Worker.bat
C:\Users\Curtis\Desktop\Mining\cgminer-3.2.2-windows\cgminer-nogpu.exe -o [poolurl] -u [user.worker] -p [password]
pause

Created a shortcut to the bat on my desktop

First, I turned off all the usb hubs but one.

Then I used Zadig to install WinUSB drivers for one of the devices, which copies it to all active devices.

After doing this you have to turn the hub OFF and BACK ON.

Then I started CGMiner, and it would find 8/9 devices.

I would then launch Zadig again, find the missing device driver, and replace it with WinUSB driver AGAIN.

You must turn off the USB hub, AGAIN, turn it back on with CGMiner still running. It will probably crash.

Then I run CGMiner again and it works.

Turn off the hub that is working, repeat all the above steps with each following hub.

I noe have 1093 Accepted shares with 7 HW errors.

Also note, when starting up, it would throw many HW errors if you close and reboot CGMINER quickly, probably due to them not shutting off properly. However, this seemed necessary to get them up and running.

These are the exact steps I followed, I hope this helps someone.
this is with USB 3.0?
