1761  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN IN-STOCK SHIPPING] batch #30/31 .035 btc @ 50 USB + 1.1 btc Blade miners on: October 22, 2013, 06:40:33 PM
Next batch pricing:

10/22/2013: USB miner price is 1.75 btc for 50 units.  Blades are 1.1 btc each. 10 blades get a backplane (while supplies last)

At this point, for sanity reasons, I'm resorting to selling USB miners in 50 unit minimum quantity.  50 units fits region A box (save $$ on shipping label)

Disclaimer: if inventory becomes an issue (especially on USB miners) shipping could be delayed, but I'll do my best to post a warning if it gets depleted.  Right now stocks are good.

As if on queue canary lowers his price to 1.1 btc...hours after I said they were too expensive lol
Lol

A few PMs asking if I have these in stock... Per my prior post, yes, they are in stock.

Pathetic article in my opinion...

The rise in USD/btc recently, is the result of Chinese btc markets.  Also Chinese are big gamblers... If they find the "next investment" to chase after bitcoin, btc will fall spectacularly relative to fiat exchange rates.

Oh god no coupons please... lol they didn't turn out well for Friedcat

Worked ok for me at btcguild. But I hope not either. I don't want to spend more right now.

I hope I don't hurt your feeling by telling you.. You got fucked over by btcguild. The prices were way higher then you could get from canary or SSB. BTCGuild made it seem like you were getting a great bargain by this huge release of "Coupons" When the reality was you could buy them cheaper all day long on these very forums.

Yes and no. I agree I would not buy them there now. But I still saved some BTC. Not as much as elsewhere but it did work. But back to topic I would rather get something other than a coupon from Beastymac.
Actually, it's a sound Yes.  They have been always cheaper from me or SSB.  btcguild was able to maximize the pricing because of it's target audience (I won't go into an exact explanation other than most newbie miners start at btcguild, you can figure out the rest) and from a capitalist point of view, btcguild did very well for it's owners, I can't fault them for being able to maximize their profits.  after all, the re-sellers are shovel and picks vendors...

I think the Below Quote is the most important part of the highly negative article and is helping BTC.

For BTC to really take off as a currency it needs to stand alone and not be compared to others in exchange.  If a gallon of milk is $3 USD it's $3 regardless if the euro is $1 to 1 or $1.50 to 1... Using that as the standard in comparison, the value of BTC hasn't risen, the dollar has just weakened according to the world currency of BTC.  And especially lately with the unrest caused by U.S. politicians.  Now compare BTC in other currencies and you'll notice the rest of the world market hasn't moved as much in comparison, therefore the comment stand of the fact that the $U.S. dollar has weakened in the world market.

I looked at your website - the cost of your single blade is a half a bitcoin less than the cost of an Avalon mini...only difference is roughly 5.7-6X the hashing power.

I wonder how my miner is enjoying Ohio, now that it has spent 2 days there.

Maybe it is seeing the sights and visiting a few museums
did you call DHL?

Yes it cleared customs and it will be here Monday or Tuesday, whenever they get around to it.

What he said applies to me too...Canary is acting like I DIDNT make the phone call.
not acting... I'm very familiar with DHL, and from the comments it's hard to tell if the folks with miners sitting in OH called DHL or not, so just trying to help... I want you all to get them ASAP!!!
and promptly point them at the Eligius pool  Grin

I compared your DHL info with mine and it may be that DHL has a LIFO buffer.
(Last In First Out) Just a few hours difference between customs.

Mine is hopefully enroute to Franklin Park Il. I wonder how many intermediate hubs lay in between?

I picture in my mind a tortoise loaded with miners crawling along the interstate right of way.

You may just be waiting for the tortoise that is heading to your locale to depart Cincy.
I hope so.

none between Franklin Park, IL and OH.

Anyone who's package hasn't left OH, needs to call DHL ASAP.  your package has customs/clearance issues.  don't wait, it ain't gonna start moving on it's own, you need to call DHL and see what else they need from you.

AGAIN, We were talking about DELIVERY TIMES, NOT PACKAGING

and? delivery times are very similar, maybe is DHL even slower, and reason for change of delivery company was in semi-destroyed boxes, not in delivery times. simple.

Similar?

compared to...

Dhl route to Hawaii so far.....
