10th = 2% of the network speed those little usb sticks sure add up and thats not including all the other distributors including europe & asia the best thing that can happen for bitcoin is to have 7 billion of USB stick miners out there instead of concentrated hashing locations that are 25%+ of the network... all these new companies are chasing the wrong crowd with complex equipment... |

@ Canary - Will new orders be fulfilled with the new version of the ASICMiner USBs?
the black color is the new version too per specifications and description... but ASICMiner will now have more colors. depends on what colors I receive. I proportion them out as much as possible on orders if multiple colors come in from manufacturer. if you read friedcat's wording carefully, he means that Since Aug 11th restock, this is the new version... his recent post was due to getting new photos professionally done. I have told friedcat that since the photographer forgot to include the black one, everyone will think black is "old" version... no the case however... that's the state of things atm. And... friedcat just updated OP here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=280961 to make sure black is not discarded as "old" black is included. The other identifier of the "New" batch is the RoHS + CE engravings.. am I correct? The "New" black ones distributed so far have had those so far as I've seen. correct |

The people over at BTC guild realized they were getting shafted and stopped buying from them ... so BTC guild wants to make it look like they are doing something for "THEIR PEOPLE" is more like it.
Yeah the lowest (even coupon) at BTC Guild right now is 0.4 BTC which is still decently higher than Canary or other resellers - I can't imagine anyone who knows about canary's "regular" price would pay more for Guild's "coupon" price. Probably just people who don't know about Canary or for whatever reason are willing to pay more to support the pool. lol I would think the 7.5% PPS fees would be enough of a deterrant They do offer 3% PPLNS which includes tx fees in the payout - I think that is still decently competitive. Anybody paying 7.5% PPS needs to get their head checked. IMHO there are other pools without fees (they do take donations instead) |
