Yeah, Jan takes it for me. Jiri probably doesn't hold onto it more than one title defense, and even them I'm not sure he'll be able to defend it once. At least the division is interesting, rather than just one guy holding onto it for a long time. I say the same about Izzy, which I'm a fan of.

Here's a free fight vid for Emmett just in case you guys don't know what kind of a fighter he is.  The guy has power and starches people.  It was surprising that Ige survived during their match.  But then again Kattar looks to me like he has an iron cast chin, so it'll be interesting to see how these guys match up.
It'll be a interesting match up in my opinion. I see it either going the distance with Kattar managing to stay safe enough or Emmet absolutely smashes him, and wins via KO. I'm probably not going to bet on that fight, too tough to call. If Kattar can keep the distance, and stay relatively safe I can see him winning comfortably on points, probably has the technical advantage.

Kattar is durable enough...  I think, eerrr I hope so.  I got him at top ticket for my lottery.  And I have to say, I'm glad that a lot of you guys are coming up to speed and having a feel for what's going on in the UFC.  I could tell just from reading all your replies.  It was a lot different a couple of years ago.

Here's what my lottery ticket would look like...  I haven't made the bet yet as I want to see these guys on the scale.  There might be changes.  And the lines are from Rollbit.  I started going there instead of my Stake account.  That account could be bad luck.  Lololol.  Cheesy

Kattar - Daukas at 1.97
Rodrigues - De Paula - Hawes at 5.54
Holland - Staman - Ramos at 11.38
Yanez - McGee - Buckley at 77.12
Jasudavicius - Lauzon - Ismagulov at 396.65

Same format with the betting.  10, 5, 2, 2 and 1 for 20 bucks total.

Mercedes the past week asked to FIA to reduce the problem of the porposing on all the cars, and at that time FIA said, it is only your problem.

Today FIA released an official statement and Mercedes will get a huge problem with it, some points of the statement are:

-Cars must need to be under a value (x) in the vertical jumps to be regular
-More controls at the bottom of the car.

Mercedes will get a huge problem since it is the car with more proposing.

They need to increase the high of the car from the ground to reduce it and in this way, they will lose a lot of time.

In fact something needs to be done, as it was worrying to see the difficulty Lewis Hamilton had to get out of his car due to the severe back pain generated by this problem.
Whether this is a problem exclusive to Mercedes, I don't know, this is what was most evident, but I think it's important that the FIA pays special attention to it.
The question now is how they will measure these vertical oscillations and define a safety limit.... because the circuits where the tests are carried out have much more impact than the construction of the cars.

A lot of people were laughing and didn't take Hamilton seriously.  But if he really has been having a hard time driving the 2022 car, I don't think he'll last a season driving with a recurring back problem caused by all the bouncing.

Anyway I didn't think we're having a race weekend.  I thought it was gonna be another week off as Azerbaijan is far away from Canada.  Who do you guys got winning this?  And Cnut, what do you see in the betting market as far as safety cars go?  Share some info please...  Grin

2525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 15, 2022, 01:40:05 PM

I don't know why, but it makes me smile to see ETH crashing  Grin

XMR going down with BTC seems like old news; nothing to see here, come back next year.  I'm sad to say I have hardly transacted with XMR since the demise of XMR.TO.  I've been away from crypto in general this year, living off grid in the mountains. I don't miss the computer or people or the rat race much at all (and now with Starlink I'm a bit connected again).  Call me when I can buy a new excavator for a handful of XMR  Tongue

I know why... It is because ETH is by far the single biggest attack on Bitcoin from the beginning of all time.  And will continue to be... with the POS change being the next campaign.

It's also why I tend to hate the recent anti-bitcoin narrative in the XMR camp.  We are basically using the same kinds of arguments that are used to support the shittiest of shitcoins (which really is ETH). Wink

What makes you think ETH's switch to proof of stake is an attack vs BTC?  The switch was always in their roadmap since the project started.  And it's even laughed at because the merge has been delayed for years and now it's coming everybody seems to feel threatened.  Just leave them alone and let them do their thing.  If the merge happens without imploding ETH then great if not, oh well.  No need for all the hate.  They're building the biggest blockchain casino the world has ever seen.  We should appreciate it.  The world would be a boring place without Ethereum.
2526  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 15, 2022, 01:19:19 PM
^  I didn't think anybody else was thinking what I'm thinking...  Yup we're just around peak fear sprinkled with a little hope on the side.  We're near capitulation but haven't seen anything just yet.  I'd be selling at the next bounce if we're lucky enough to ever get it.  This thing is just giving a 2018 vibe all over it.

if we saw that price I am not afraid to say that I will use every single dollar to my name to buy all the bitcoin I could, and in fact I think I could go even farther than that as I could possible sell some assets that I have so I could raise even more money and buy bitcoin for such a low price.
Terrible idea, not that i am not a Bitcoin believer, i am one, through and through; but to invest more than you can afford to lose is a very bad choice to make, i for one will never do it and you shouldn't as well, irrespective of how low the price of Bitcoin falls. Invest with only an amount you can truly afford to use, or you can choose a strategy like DCA to buy at different periods/intervals. Even if Bitcoin goes as low as 3k dollars, do not invest more than you can afford to lose mate.

If BTC goes down to 3k USD I think it's def worth taking a shot with everything you got.  But then again it really doesn't matter how low it goes as long as it's the bottom.  If you know in your heart of hearts, just go for it.
2527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for June on: June 15, 2022, 12:28:47 PM
Everybody was prolly getting very excited to see ETH drip below 1k to scoop some up before the inevitable bounce.  But not today folks.  Whales and the big players got in first and scooped everything up before it could even go there...  Not saying that there's no chance of it happening.  But these sell downs caused by events rarely last more than a day or two.  Wait for when there's no news and a disinterest in the market for that slow drip down to 500.  We'll see.

2528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 15, 2022, 12:18:25 PM

Not a lot of women on this fight card so I'm anticipating a stand and bang fiasco in order to gain glory. Don't forget to tune in for the prelims as I expect the court McGee matchup to be an early contender for fight of the night. Holland, Cerone, the names are known to anyone whos played MMA online. Looking forward to the matchups as they challenge one another to gain fight of the night bonuses.

My contenders for fight of the night are Adrian Yanez vs Tony Kelley, Kevin Holland vs Tim Means and the main event Kattar vs Emmett.

Looks like ETH is not stopping here theres no bullish confirmation yet, Im expecting another lower low just below 1k, others said it can go lower to 700-800 well thats very possible in this market situation where everyone are on panic sell because we are in a bear market right now, opening any long trade right now is very risky.

Yup it's not too far off.  But I feel like we're going to get a small bounce in a couple of days before going back down and continuing the trend.  This thing ain't over and we're a long way off to the next bull market.  We're stuck at these ranges for at least a year or so.  Maybe two...  -_-

But who knows, maybe the merge becomes a catalyst for ETH to get out of the rut its in.  Cross your fingers.

Max failed to finish 2 races this year, and he still has 34 points lead. He had only one race in monaco where he didn't finish first, in which he was third, and aside from that he always finished first on all races he saw the flag.

I am guessing that Ferrari should reconsider their strategy, not that they have zero chance to win it this year, but they definitely do not look that great anymore neither. Even with a better car, which it was for a while, they still failed to win, and that shows so much for them. Hell RBR even had a terrible pitstop to give them a chance, and yet they still failed. I am sorry but if you can't win in these circumstances, then maybe it is not meant to be.

It's cos Leclerc hasn't finished a couple of races himself.  One in Spain and the other just happened at Azerbaijan...

And it looks like Leclerc might really have a power unit change and he could get at least a 10 grid penalty.  The books have gotten a lot sharper.  Leclerc to get pole at quali is at 1.65 and Verstappen to win the race is at 1.75.

No value in this market imho.  Will the winning margin be more than 10 seconds?  That one is at 2.35.

That's a decent follow up after a banger of a PPV event in UFC 275.  Kattar had somewhat of a resurgence after beating Chikadze to a pulp as a 3 to 1 underdog.  The guy is a beast.

2532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for June on: June 13, 2022, 05:09:28 PM
Sadly? Ethereum now drops hard now with Negative 27% and staying at 1,300$ in which really frustrating to all of us(who supports ethereum)

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/

I also feel bad because all the funds i reserved is for Bitcoin as i did not see this coming , now all my EThereum will be kept long and will add no more as I have no extra funds for re investing .

And here's the thing, ETH's previous all time high from 2017 was breached, possibly turning it back to resistance again.  It sucks but I guess it's time to pick your spots at these low prices.  And it could still go lower but does anybody think it could go below 1k USD?  Maybe, who knows...  And I think it's time to ape if it does.  The merge should give a huge boost  for ETH at the end of the year.

Aaand it's gone.  :/  1700 breached yesterday, was hoping it would go back above it today, but no...  Went for the worse outcome and dropped some more to a daily low of 1545 and looks likely it's staying around that range with some possbility it could go down more over the next weeks.  This market is def spooked and it's only getting worse.  Stay safe guys.  Pick your spots when everything is a bit less volatle.
Fear/bearish market is the worse. A small change in the stock market with enough bad news can crash the crypto market right away. Just 10 days in and we've broken the $1500 price range. I vote yes, ETH will go down, over the 1700 - 1800 range but didn't expect it was this fast.

It's actually the best. Only problem is wanting instant gratification and greed.
Even if ETH goes down more, the fundamentals and second highest marketcap say it will survive and recover.
Returning to $4800 is a pretty low risk bet and a minimum 3X profit in at most 4 years.
If coin creation is capped by 90% after the merge it's another 8X on top making a 24X profit possible.

True true...  But hoping for ETH below 1k before it could get me really interested.  I think I go for 'hodl' this time around, sell everything and be an ETH maxi for the next couple of years.  Cheesy
2533  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 13, 2022, 04:54:00 PM
I didn't believe the drop below 25k would happen this month and it literally happened overnight. I guess now I will believe those analysts who said it would drop to 20k or even lower. Right now bitcoin is below 24k and it looks terrible. There will definitely be no crypto market recovery in June.

I didn't too.  I really though 27k - 28k support would hold.  But yeah..  didn't end well.  Looking at from a more positive perspective, at least we got that over and done with.  But the 2018 PTSD lingers.  I already have an idea of what the poll would be for my July sentiment thread.  Cheesy  I mean since we're all down, might as well have a laugh about it.  We could be in a bear market for at least a year imo.
2534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 13, 2022, 04:43:06 PM
The decision to sell Sadio Mane will now be profitable for Liverpool. Although Mane is a very important player in the squad. His replacement is a bit difficult but not impossible. Darwin Núñez is a very talented player. Maybe he also scored 39 goals in Benfica's jersey last season. However, Darwin Núñez will need some time to adjust to the Liverpool squad. But if he is able to adapt to the Liverpool squad, I believe he will be a better player than Sadio Mane.

Mane decides to leave, he has one year left on his Liverpool contract, but the contract extension Liverpool offered him was far below what he demanded, so he decided to leave, he's 30 years old, and money is always important at this point in every player's career as they approach retirement.

I've seen Nunez a few times, he's a good player with a lot of potential, but when these young players move to a more competitive league like the Premier League, they often struggle to adapt, and even if he does adapt quickly, he won't be able to outshine Mane's Liverpool legacy for long.

^  But Luis Diaz could play the left wing role that Mane has become accustomed to under Klopp's system right?  I think Diaz could play it a tad better for the eyes of the spectator.  He reminds me of the Hazard of old during his time at Chelsea.

Anyway, guys new poll!  I think it's going to be a fun one.  Grin  Would also appreciate it if you share what you think after your vote.

And how good is Frenkie de Jong?  I keep reading he's United's top summer transfer target.  Is he good enough to be the captain someday?
2535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 13, 2022, 04:32:31 PM
Interesting to know who will be the next captain for Manchester United because lately Ten Hag has been spoke with Maguire that he apparently will not be Manchester United captain for next season and several names appears as candidate for the next captain but some of fans want David De Gea in that position because they says De Gea as part of this team more than 10 years and had stable performance from seasons to seasons even he is very loyal for Man Utd and i think he deserved to get that
Since the beginning of getting the captaincy, actually Maguire has been doubted by many people because indeed carrying out the task as captain is not an easy thing, being a captain does not have to have qualified skills, but a captain is required to be able to display consistent performance and be an example for other players, besides that a captain must have wisdom and also be able to control his emotions and the emotions of other players when there is a problem in the field , I think besides de gea, ronaldo is a suitable candidate to replace maguire because so far ronaldo has a leadership spirit and also high authority as a player senior in manchester united.
So far Maguire's ability to continue as the captain of the Manchester United team is in doubt because of lack of consistency in his performances on the pitch and inability to control and put together his team mates to stay focused on the pitch therefore losing the trust of his team mates and the fans which might result to stripping him of the title. With the incoming manager i doubt he will be retain that postion and would be passed on to someone reliable in the like of David De Gea or Ronaldo so far the elder players in the team and who have the leadership character.

The determination of who deserves to be captain next season will be made after Ten Hag returns from vacation, but from some sports media I've read it says if Maguire insists on keeping the captaincy position his, to be honest I'll laugh out loud if Manchester United keeps the clowns as captain next season, so far he has often been criticized for his poor performance and who knows what manchester united saw of him so that he served as team captain ?
Apart from ronaldo, in my opinion no one deserves to be captain of manchester united next season, All of us must remember the moment Portugal vs France in the Euro 2016 final, at that time Ronaldo was injured but he did not want to go into the treatment room and preferred to stay out of the field line to encourage his friends, as captain of Portugal, Ronaldo has shown totality and high leadership spirit with continued to pump up the spirits of the portugal players who were on the pitch at that time, so I don't think there is a more suitable candidate to be captain than Ronaldo at Manchester United right now.

^  Ten Hag will prolly make Maguire the captain but only during the first couple months of the season before he puts his own trusted lieutenant.  Who will unironically be a Dutch player.  Which Dutch player or players are in Manchester United's sights this summer?  Anybody prolific player from Ajax?  Wink

And just wondering what you guys think.  Will Ten Hag be the guy to bring United back to its glory days just as Klopp did at Liverpool?
2536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 13, 2022, 04:26:00 PM
Ferrari was actually winning in this fast track Shocked.

In the end, they got 0 points and now need hard work to get progress on these cars, they are having a lot of problems.

It looked good for Ferrari at the beginning and the early pit stop, but in the end they lost 2/3 of the power units, which is a bit embarrassing. At the beginning of the season it looked like the Ferrari was very reliable and the Red Bull was vulnerable, but now it looks like Ferrari will be the first team to get a power unit penalty.

The Mercedes is not very fast and the bouncing (at least with Hamilton) is crazy, but the cars are very very reliable, but for the title they are just too slow.

Yup...  I hope to see a Ferrari come back tho, at least for Leclerc's sake.  He's a good guy and he deserves to win races.  But the  team has disappointed him again and again this season.  So yeah, it will be Canadian GP next.  Let's see what these guys can do.

The books now have a Red Bull 1 and 2 with Verstappen at 1.85 and Perez at 3.80.  Leclerc is at 4.20.  I guess there's an engine change and a penalty expected for Leclerc?  I'd take him to win quali.  Odds not out yet tho.
2537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 12, 2022, 01:25:16 PM
Damn, what a night. I was in for 3k until Jake Matthews stopped Fialho, I actually had that fight going the distance, as I felt Jake was underestimated. However, he really turned up. That's probably the best I've seen him fight, and against Fialho of all people.

The main event I nearly had right too. I went for the fight to go the distance at like 5.00/5.50 odds in the end, I was very nearly right. I thought the main event was good, with Jiri looking good at times, but overall I felt Glover was the one winning come the last minute of the last round.

Val nearly slipped up, and honestly I was quite impressed by Santos. If it wasn't for that accidental headbutt which caused the swelling on her eye, I think she could have won that, and probably should have based on the performances. Even with the eye, I thought it was very close, and could've gone either way. I have Santos for the win despite those later rounds.

In hindsight Fialho could badly need some rest.  He had three matches in three months.  Maybe he should've given himself time to recover.  I know his time in the cage weren't really that long but all that training will take a toll in your body, I don't care who you are.

The main event...  Lmao.  Teixeira had it until he didn't.  If he didn't have his neck caught, he'd be winning via decision.  Would be interesting to see how the new champ matches up vs Rakic and Ankalaev.  There's also Jamahal Hill.

And yeah, fade whoever Santos is up against next fight.  Santos uber good.

Here are my picks for the UFC 275 and men it was really insane

Glover Teixeira VS Jiri Prochazka - Submission R5 - WIN

It was an insane fight it surely blows my mind, Jiri Prochazka, in the 1st round, has given his back but he stand-up from that Glover Teixeira was controlling the fight to the ground but Prochazka knows how to slither his way out 2nd round was Prochazka's round in my opinion insane striking that he delivers to Glover Teixeira until in the 3rd round both fighters are bloodied, even though both fighters are bloodied, and tired they really never stop in giving us a great fight, Prochazka with his height he surely knows how to deal in getting out to a submission, it was just 39 seconds that Jiri Prochazka has to lock a rear-naked choke to Teixeira, this fight is definitely fought of the year, it was not an easy fight for both fighters, definitely Jiri Prochazka deserves the belt, but Kudos to Glover Teixeira despite his age he surely gives Prochazka a hard time, and that fight was one legit one,

Weili Zhang VS Joanna Jedrzejczyk - KO/TKO - R2 - WIN

From technique to skill there is no doubt Zhang Weili is the real deal, Joanna Jedrzejczyk might have gotten Weili to the ground but it was because Joanna Jedrzejczyk's kick has aimed at the leg that leads Zhang to trip, but it was a one-sided fight that got Joanna Jedrzejczyk to realized that she is now retiring,

Jack Della Maddalena VS Ramazan Emeev - KO/TKO - R1 - WIN

That Liver blow Jack Della Maddalena sure has the strength on his punches, a good quality of a boxer and in round 1 the fight was already done, at 1st Emmev is showing aggressiveness in taking the fight to the ground but Della Maddalena is getting out from that position and the power of Jack Della Maddalena is truly amazing, looking forward to his next fight,

Choi Seung-Woo VS Joshua Culibao - Decision - R3 - WIN

It was a great fight and I mean no words for it, Seung-Woo Choi is just doing his usual but Culibao, men I surely underestimated my guy, but he landed many volumes, on Choi, that was insane, kudos to both fighters they have done a great job, in giving us great event fight, not like the Teixeira VS Prochazka, but it is still a decent fight to watch Joshua Culibao is really hurting Seung-Woo Choi, and Culibao has said to the interview that he's aggression will surely backfire at him and it did, and will definitely look forward to more fight on Joshua Culibao,

Choi my pie shitter.  Lol.  Brendan Allen almost did too.  Fialho was another one.  And note to self, my biggest mistake was ignoring the info that JJ hasn't fought for two years before taking on Weili again.

Red Bull showed some unreliability in their power unit at the start of the season, now it's the Ferrari power units that have shown that they can be unreliable too.  4 cars with Ferrari power units had something going on.  Prolly over heated as smoke was coming out of the exhaust.

Here are the results..  I sincerely hope Ferrari does better this season.  The race become boring without them.

Edit:  Ok Leclerc out too.  This is not funny anymore, I'll stop with the memes.  I feel for Leclerc and Sainz.  Just another stroke of bad luck for these guys.
