1601  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 22, 2023, 09:09:22 PM
it's too early to say bullish has come, I think the movement at the beginning of the year is the initial pump and new enthusiasm in trading at the beginning of the year after the market always declines, stay careful when investing, all risks are borne by the individual,

This.  With all the stuff that's going on around the world, we really can't say if the bull market is back.  If anything, we should be wary.  But if you guys bought the lows then just stay put and don't do anything.  To those who missed it and don't hold any, don't fomo and don't buy at resistance.  Big possibility you'll get trapped.  Just be patient as there's a whole year of buying opportunities coming.

Then again if you're a pure 'hodler' you could just buy now and forget about it as it won't matter.

Edit:  How come there aren't any Chinese new year threads anymore?  Those were fun.

^  If Fig vs Moreno had been a close one and have gone either way there would def be a fifth.  But no, it was all Moreno this time around.  Moreno was just faster, better.

And Fig isn't retiring.  He's moving up to 135 as the weight cut has always been a problem for him esp now at 35 year old.  And he's always been too big for 125.

Anyway, that was one of the most exciting main events I've seen lately.  And the new guys to watch in the UFC are the Bonfim brothers.  They are good.

I'll take #24 - Fury to win by TKO in Round 12.  Thanks.

^  Why change the addressing scheme, how did that come about?  If something ain't broke, don't fix it.  IMHO.  But I guess if they're really gonna push for it, I think we should be able to generate a new address with the new addressing scheme from our old private keys.  That at least could make the transition a bit easier for the user.  But from a community wide perspective, a change this radical could pose some considerable 'inconveniences'.  Imagine not being able to send XMR to say a gambling site cos the site hasn't upgraded yet.  :/

I guess it's back to Tronz coinz again.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: January 21, 2023, 02:48:54 PM
Why does people look for 1000x project and what happened to those who bought when the token gets 1000x and dump on them don't you think their lives are stake and could lead to suicide?

Market is zero sum game. Imagine after selling for 1000x, coin goes another 1000x — do you think they would be feeling sad for you (for selling early) or busy counting their money?

What the...  1000x and it goes another 1000x?  And I thought I'm starting to look stupid for even trying to look for the next 1000x.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I've seen a couple or so newbie accounts asking for a 'criteria' on how to choose an altcoin that would have the greatest potential to be a 1000x coin.

I'm gonna throw around some ideas but as all of you already know, this is in no way financial advice.  This is just all for the lulz and it would be cool if you guys throw your own ideas in the mix too...  So here goes.

Criteria to find the next 1000x coin:

It must not be listed in any of the major exchanges.  This is not a hard rule but I noticed that 1000x coins are mostly unknown.

It must have a dog logo.  What can I say, memecoins seem to go up by a lot more than the rest of the market.

Be mindful of market cap.  The lower, the better.  If a coin's market cap is 100m, 1000x would be 100b.  Lol.  It would take a lot of money to pump it that high.  But if the market cap is just 1 million, 1000x would be 1 billion.  It's much more possible it could happen imho.

That's it for now.

Edit:  Great criteria here...

I would like to add that it needs to be new token/coin that people haven't yet tweeted about, at least not too much. Preferably with no advertising bounties. Old projects under 10M marketcap have either died or something bad has happened behind the scene. Something that no one is interested in them, so unless you know some inside news about those, you are betting on a dead horse.

Also no price talk on the channel gives a professional touch that makes me think it's already more mature and professional then 90% projects out there.

It is very hard to predict with certainty  which coin will go 1000X in the next bull run, however, I think AI (Artificial intelligence) based coins have the potential to outperform due to rapid ongoing development & advancement in this technology. We have witnessed huge interest in ChatGPT since it was launched, which is evident from huge traffic on this site and it has got millions of subscribers within days, who are regularly using it to get useful information.

Finally...  A suggestion for another criteria.  Can you give us a list of these AI based coins please?  That could be the next niche that's gonna get a lot of hype.  Not saying 'AI on the blockchain' is really gonna be the next big thing of some sort but the devs and the shills will surely make it look that way and hype the masses into giving them a lot of their hard earned money.  Cheesy

^  Ah weird.  Let's see how it works for the teams as it could either be something that can be done more in the future or something really dumb.

And have you guys read the news about Aston Martin having a break through with their car?  Lolol.  I think I heard the same thing last year from them and turned out they've been copying Merc's specs with bad implementation which made their performace worse than expected.

But if they did have a break through, Alonso is the lucky one as he would get some of the credit.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 21, 2023, 02:30:58 PM

As for champions, I think there's gonna be a Russian take over in the UFC.  The Russian prospects coming up are all tooough.

And as for Jon Jones vs Cyril Gane, I don't mind it.  I mean I'm disappointed it's not vs Ngannou but it's better than nothing.

Who's your money on though? They're both fairly evenly matched according to Skybet odds but Jon Jones is still the favourite. It's going to be interesting since he's been out of action for so long but I don't think this is gonna be an easy fight for Jon at all.

Honestly..?  I get that Jones hasn't fought in around three years but I still pick him cos of the wrestling advantage.  I just can't trust Gane's defense against TD's after seeing Ngannou control him with a bum knee.  Lol.  But a match between Jones and Ngannou, I got Ngannou.  The guy is just yuuuge and he has worked on his TD defense as he showed in his rematch vs Miocic.  I fancy Ngannou knocking out Jones imho.  I was really looking forward to that match up and I think somewhere along the line somebody prolly regretted letting Ngannou go.

Aaanyway...  Enough about Ngannou.  It's done.  Here are the weigh in vids and face offs.

^  I didn't watch the match but I saw a comment that made me laugh when asked how could Tottenham lose when they were leading by a couple of goals.  The comment went something like 'lads, it's Tottenham!'.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Anyway, you guys think City is out of the race?

Anyway, what do you guys think of Newcastle to score a goal first vs Crystal Palace at 1.68 as a parlay piece...  Should I just go Newcastle ML  at 1.90?
first goal is risky i would rather go for Newcastle @1.90FT

I guess...  But I'm looking at Newcastle's goals against which sits at 11 total, just 5 goals conceded at home and just 6 away.  And what makes me a bit reluctant to take Newcastle ML is what we saw in Crystal Palace at home vs United.  CP sometimes plays a solid game at home...
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: January 20, 2023, 01:30:40 PM
As for Bellator events, they're ok but between that and ONE FC, if they were happening at the same time I'd def watch ONE FC.  The action is just faster and I like how they allow knees to the head vs a grounded opponent.

Or because One FC events are more frequent than Bellator. As well as there are lots of light guys in One FC, while Bellator prefer to huge guys Cheesy All those Asians and Thai guys. You cant grow a huge body on rice and chicken. And they are ffs quick. Btw ONE Friday Fights 1 starts in 3 hours Cheesy Are you going to watch ?

Dunno..  I kinda see Bellator as something like a low tier B league to the UFC.  I think if the guys at ONE FC work on their TD defense and grappling, they'd hold their own in Bellator.  And as you said, the ONE FC guys are quick and prefer to fight stand up more than on the ground which make it a lot more fun to watch.

Yeah I'm watching but didn't make no bets tho.  I just have it playing in the background rn.  Did you make any bets for the event?
1610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 20, 2023, 01:16:02 PM
I believe Fig was talking about moving up a division? If that's the case, he could vacate the title if he wins on the weekend anyhow. Moreno will probably take it again after that, not sure who that title fight would be against though. There's a few biting at the heels, but I don't see any major threats for Moreno.

I'll be posting my predictions tomorrow. I don't think I'll be changing much from my early leans. Big fight weekend though with a lot of competitive fights, but also some very important fights. We've got a few months of some great headliners too. Mostly, looking forward to seeing Jones in the heavyweight division though.

Yeah I think if he wins vs Moreno he def should move up if he wants to hold two belts.  He's not getting any younger.  At 35 losing all that weight becomes harder and more taxing to the body.  But as I'm picking Fig here just cos the match is in Brazil.  I don't think USADA goes to Brazil.  Lol.

^  Rofl I don't get the whole Santa Barbara thing but there's something about the music that made me chuckle a bit.  Cheesy  But yeah, it feels like we're kicking a dead horse rn.  It sucks but it's done.  And I would've bet for Ngannou against Jones at anything at 1.60 and above.  Don't think Jones could out muscle Ngannou with Jones coming back from a long lay off and moving up in weight class.

As for Fig vs Moreno 4, I don't mind it tbh.  I've enjoyed all their match ups and looking forward for another one.  This one is close to a coin flip but I think Fig wins it as the event is in Brazil..  That's if he has a good weight cut.  The guy is huge for 125.  So wait for weigh ins.

It is Santa Barbara, as this was one of the most popular soap operas on post soviet territory Cheesy Ngannou said that. Dana promised this. They first agree on this. But later Ngannou told that he wants freedom, insurance, bla-bla-bla-bla during more than a year. True soap opera. In the end it will turn out that Ngannou is Dana's long time abandoned son from a maid. He has abandoned him because he ran out from Pedro, who was a Rachels father, bla-bla-bla Cheesy Soap opera like I've said.

Tired of Ngannou. No more 3 African Champions. Ngannou left, Adesanya and Usman lost their belts. Destiny.

Frankly, I am not much interested in JJ fight against Gane. JJ was inactive for too long. I think he wont fit current UFC fighting realities. 3 years without fights, that is a lot.

Oh ok.  Lolol.

As for champions, I think there's gonna be a Russian take over in the UFC.  The Russian prospects coming up are all tooough.

And as for Jon Jones vs Cyril Gane, I don't mind it.  I mean I'm disappointed it's not vs Ngannou but it's better than nothing.

^  Not unless the coin or token has a dog logo.  Dog logos increase the chances of a coin to make 1000x, didn't you know this?

Anyway, seems like a lot of you guys missed the nub on why I started the thread in the first place.  It's all for shts and gigs and the lulz.  I'm pretty sure you guys gamble with your sig monies...  Well that's what this is.  We're gambling to find the next great 1000x and I've laid out my criteria and I want to see yours.  Wink
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 19, 2023, 04:01:46 PM
I'm wondering whether there's a chance that the league decides to increase the squad sizes to accommodate for these poor results, and performances. It's weird too, most of the better teams struggle with injuries where as the rest of the middle table, and below teams never really seem to struggle to the same degree.

Mid-table teams do occasionally struggle, but because all they do is move up and down the mid table without competing for any trophies, it can be difficult to notice. Right now, Leicester and Everton are struggling, but no one is paying attention to them because everyone is focused on Liverpool and Chelsea's recent performances.

In any case, when the big boys struggle, it gives the smaller teams a chance to compete for the league, as it did in 2015 when Leicester won the league. Right now, Arsenal is at the top of the league not because they are great, but rather because other teams are having difficulties due to injuries and other factors. Having more teams than what we currently have will make the league look unprofessional and boring.

But we still have to give Arteta some credit tho.  He did assemble a decent squad over three seasons with a meager budget.  It's not great but it is enough to beat teams that are supposed to be great.  And they're on their way to win the league.

And I kinda like how things are going about.  If everything is what they're supposed to be we'd prolly see either City or Liverpool leading by 3 points with the rest far behind...  Aka another boring season.  This one is def been one for the lulz.  Hoping to see Fulham, Brighton and Brentford finish higher.  Cheesy

Anyway, what do you guys think of Newcastle to score a goal first vs Crystal Palace at 1.68 as a parlay piece...  Should I just go Newcastle ML  at 1.90?
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: January 19, 2023, 03:28:24 PM
^  Stake has mostly the best lines across the board and in any sport imho.  Around 5 years ago it was Nitrogen but they don't have a market for props and their lines have gotten not so good over time.

As for Bellator events, they're ok but between that and ONE FC, if they were happening at the same time I'd def watch ONE FC.  The action is just faster and I like how they allow knees to the head vs a grounded opponent.

Hey guys, just found out that Betnomi now has a betting market for ONE, KSW and Invicta too.  Smiley  I'm not really sure about these fighters at Invicta and KSW tho but I'm looking forward to having a closer look at the events at ONE FC.  They even have odds for the Muay Thai match ups.
They had this MMA markets for some time, they have most of the MMA events available from all crypto gambling website, and Betnomi is currently one of the best place for making bets on MMA events.
Markets can be found earlier than on other gambling websites and odds are not always highest but they are good and they offer more betting options.
Some thing should be improved for making higher limits for bets and improving withdrawals, before I could use this website more than now.

I go around different books from time to time to take a peek at the different lines, I never noticed Betnomi til now.  It was FJ that used to have ONE FC but they removed it prolly because there was no action.

There are new rumours about Hamilton to sign a new contract with his team. He might extend his contract by two years if they reach an agreement on terms. It is expected to be an enormous contract for him. The details are like this if this is really true:

- A 2-year contract and €70m earnings per year
- Mercedes to sign a 10-year brand ambassadorship deal with Hamilton worth €250m
- The total earnings is expected to be around €400m with bonuses

I assume Hamilton would be delighted with such deal. He still wants his eight championship as well.

Oh would he...  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

His nuts were prolly jumping for joy in his pants as he was reading the terms of the new contract.

Anyway, I was wrong about last season's Williams team.  I really thought they were gonna do good things under the guidance and management of a team that did well at the WRC.  They're skills, experience and technical abilites didn't translate in F1.  But Williams seem to have made a good decision in hiring James Vowles.  Could he be the revelation of next season..?  I'd like to have a strong opinion but dunno...  I'm excited tho.

American things Cheesy

The F1 in the next MIAMI GP will stay inside the stadium, the teams will build the paddock.

^  You must be a strong consistent winner then if a sports betting site limited your account.  I've seen some people complain about it a few times but I think it's something that doesn't happen a lot.  And it could be kinda like black jack...  Like when the casinos don't want the pros getting in on most of their action as it wouldn't be good for their bottom line?  Dunno..  But I think it comes with the territory.  It's something rare but it's also not something new in the industry.

Sorry to hear your account got limited tho.

The loss and the display by Liverpool was shocking but Brighton deserved that win. I cannot work out where it has all gone wrong for Klopp after building an exciting team which won the Champions League and Premier League. What has gone wrong and did it really all hinge of the brilliance of Sadio Mane who left Liverpool for Bayern Munich?

Klopp did not manage to get best of his players for a long time. The only manager who managed to do it with consistency after Ferguson retired at Manchester United is what Guardiola is doing at Manchester City. But he did it for well over 25 years at one club and Guardiola has been at it for around 6 years with his. Where does Klopp get compared in this?

I think he needs to leave and go manage Germany in time for the Euro 2024 tournament. A new manager at Liverpool just might be what they need. Add to that Salah has been playing average football after signing his bumper new contract just 6 months ago.

^  I wasn't really surprised with Liverpool anymore.  I had them at 2 - 1 to lose vs Brighton in our EPL pool.  You could see my picks if you're in it.

But yeah, it happens from time to time with the best clubs.  They eventually have a couple of years when they suck then start to get back on high gear at the next seasons.  And if you look at Klopp's history with BVB it's the same.  He had a couple of good years then nothing.  So the club had to let him go.  But if they stuck with him, I'm pretty sure they would've gone back on track and fought for titles again.

Different eras, different managers, different situations under different set of conditions.  So we can't really compare or have to compare Klopp or whoever with somebody like Ferguson.  And Ferguson is an outlier.  There's not gonna be somebody like him in a looong time.  As for wanting for Klopp to leave, now way.  I say Liverpool should stick with him or they go back to being a club in limbo again with no identity and no style.  So they have a bad season.  So what?  They can get back to it next season.

And who do you think could replace Klopp?  :/  Almost all managers replacing Klopp would be a downgrade imho.

Is Ngannou more interested than UFC 283 ? Already second page of discussion Grin He is no longer in UFC, so lets move on.

Main card of UFC 283 looks great. Main and co-main fights are worth not missing. Burns vs Magny. I believe Burns gonna finish him. Magny mostly looses by submission, and we all know that Burns is a master of it. Almost every last Magny fight went full distance, which makes a lot of time for Burns to submit him. If someone plan to place a bet, I would suggest to consider choosing Burns by sub.

Lol yup.  Let's see those picks, make some bets and have a little fun come fight day.  Smiley  There's nothing we can't do about Ngannou anymore.  Sure it's a huge loss for the UFC but the UFC isn't going anywhere.  They're now gonna squeeze every drop they can get from Jon Jones at HW.

And yeah, Burns way better, way faster, has powerrr and more explosive than Magny...  Magny way taller with way longer reach tho.  I still like Burns but it's an interesting match up.

At first glance my most confident picks are Burns, Andrade, Rodrigues and Almeida.  They're all chalky tho.
