^  Wtf.  Lol...  But it wasn't really just a B squad.  It was a B+ squad.  Grin  And it's prolly the hectic schedule of fixtures during the cold of winter taking its toll on the team.  They went against Chelsea twice then Southampton all in a span of a week.  I wonder what the line was for Southampton.

But yeah, Guardiola had to cos City is going against United this weekend.  I wonder how the schedule is going to take its toll in this match.  United at 4.20 could be value.

What I feel like could really be value is Fullham draw no bet at 2.85 vs a Chesea squad which might have lost its identity.

Edit:  Is Joao Felix gonna play?

Big blow and loss for MMA is news that Khabib stopping with all his coaching activity this year to spend more time with his family Sad

Hard to believe he completely quits sport. I think he will keep on training with same guys. He will be like his father, after ending fighting career, coaching entire life. I cant imagine him becoming a businessman, running, company, production, sitting in the office. I think he will always be in fighting. As a manager, promotor.

Spending time with family is great, but he has already told that he will send his son to wrestling section Cheesy When the interviewer asked if he has found already a proper coach, he has said that he will train him. Doubt that he will train him just to be fit and NOT becoming a worlds champion.

^  Lol yup.  He'll prolly leave it to his son if he wants to compete professionally in MMA.  In some of Khabib's interviews, he said that it wasn't totally his decision when he competed in MMA professionally.  It was mostly because of his dad.  So go figure.

Anyway as for the last minute change for the match up...  I kinda like it.  And it's a good opportunity for Imavov to show that he belongs.  Not sure if he gets to enter top 5 at 185 tho as it's going to be in 205.  All in all, I think the UFC should just give him the rank.
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 11, 2023, 03:33:40 PM
Well thanks to John Foss' newsletter here is the tech info for Seraphis:

https://gist.github.com/UkoeHB/f508a6ad973fbf85195403057e87449e

And for Jamtis... the new addressing scheme:

https://gist.github.com/tevador/50160d160d24cfc6c52ae02eb3d17024

These are mammoth consensus changes in my opinion.  Monero has always had a somewhat progressive approach to consensus level changes.

I am not technical enough to know what the risks are (and I am pretty technical).  But I can see well enough that this stuff is going to introduce a lot of possibility of risk.

I am not trying to FUD by any means.. and the Monero community has ALWAYS had an environment welcoming dubious opinion.  So I am stating a firsh blush opinion that I hope the right amount of caution is being taken in introducing these changes.

I think it would be naive to assume that there are not powerful, smart, actors that would love to change monero in a way that would cause it to have a chink in it's armor.

How do we know that consensus changes of this level are not exactly that?

Here's something I wondering about...  First just to let you guys know, I haven't been reading a whole lot of info about XMR in Reddit and Twitter for more around 4 years now, my Twitter account is now exclusively following some guys doing MMA prediction stuff and I've unfollowed everybody in crypto.

The only guy I tag or ping in crypto is Fluffy and that's just in tweets that are related to helping dogs.

Anyway, the thing I'm wondering about is if Fluffy supports the changes or not...

Is he saying anything right now, I wonder..?

I feel the same as cAPSLOCK, I haven't seen a proper conversation over what the changes will mean and who exactly thinks what.  Fluffy's thoughts would be welcome but I understand why he is not around to say his piece.

Back in the day there was a lot of chatter and devs would drop by - I always felt pretty reassured.  Now it's just 'fingers crossed' it will be OK.   Price is looking sweet enough, XMR is easily outdoing the likes of LTC and other coins with a decent rep and respected history.  We just have to hope we're being looked after by safe hands.

Happy New Year to everyone, let's hope it's a good one for Monero.

No, I haven't heard much from him on things about or related to Monero or crypto.  I stopped following him in Twitter tho or any of those crypto guys I used to follow.  I just want to have fun again and stop taking this stuff seriously.  Everybody is mostly here for number go up anyway.

But after Fluffy getting caught and held in a US prison I would be a bit uneasy if he becomes vocal about supporting any important changes out of the blue.  Not saying TPTB got to him or anything, just saying...  XMR is the last bastion of hope in crypto imho.  Devs can't afford to fk this up.

Some rumors about Mercedes.
The car of the next year should follow the car they used the past year.

Their unique car will be used again so they are not copying Ferrari or RBR either.

Do you think is a good idea?

No idea...  Grin  I guess if it's fast, good idea.  If it's slow against Red Bull and Ferrari, def a bad idea.  Cheesy

But who knows, their engineers know better than we do for sure.  So overall it's prolly a good idea at the time when they decided to go for the no side pods design.  But then again, it's all about finishing on the podium.  I guess we'll just have to see.

Any rumors on Binotto and where he'll go next?
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 11, 2023, 02:21:33 PM
"Here We Go"

Reported from Fabrizio Romano about João Félix have reached verbal agreement and move to Chelsea with loan option and earn €11m all amount pay or converted by Chelsea. I think good option and agreement deal reach both team between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea due João Félix have contract left until 2027.
Good news for Chelsea fans as Joao Felix arrives at Stamford Bridge. I think the arrival of Felix is their attempt to fill the gap in the squad due to injuries to some of their players like Raheem Sterling, Cristian Pulisic and Aubameyang.

Nice!  He was quite the prospect back then but why hasn't he really reached his full potential under Simeone and would it be different under Graham Potter?  I feel like this signing could be more for the commercial value, aka shirt and jersey sales, than for giving real value to the squad.  Dunno...

And how is he gonna be used?  As a winger, forward or an attacking midfielder?  Chelsea needs a little more depth in the midfield as a few of their guys are injured.
1646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 11, 2023, 02:11:34 PM
Shame about the injury, and I don't think Strickland will have much luck as the replacement. I expect Imavov to win this. Gives him a good chance to actually jump a few in the rankings also. I'm also fancying Damon Jackson against Dan Ige. He's tough, and won't give up. Does leave himself open at times though that could definitely be a problem against Ige. Early feelings is; Soriano takes it against Kopylov, but I imagine it'll be a tough fight for both fighters. Soriano doesn't have a lot of volume, and will be looking for the finish.

Other than that, my other early leans are Vieira, Nurmagomedov, and Cachoeeira.

It's closer that what most of the fans expect.  I think the lines give an accurate view of each fighter's value in this match up.  Remember, it's gonna be at 205..  And you know me when I try to look at these guys' match ups, I know Strickland lost a couple matches straight but look at those guys he lost to.  One is just became the current champ at 185 and the other one is a middle weight beast.  No shame in losing to both fighters.  The pick is still Imavov but he's way down in my lottery ticket.  It's a big test for him.

Free fight vid.  Enjoy.

Hopefully it's like that and maybe in the future there will be even more good projects,
we must continue to see the progress of these projects,
the success or failure of a project certainly cannot be separated from the team and let's see what will happen later.

1000x happening on a project's token def doesn't depend on whether the progress of the project is good or if the team is good or if the project itself is really great.  It all depends on if the project has a dog logo, if the project has a low enough market cap, and if it's fairly new.  I think a coin or a token will get a better chance to hit 1000x if it was issued after 2021.

If it's a new coin accumulated during the lull of the bear market, chances are distribution of the said coin will be during the bull market.  And if it's not 1000x, fine...  But you know you'll win some anyway.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 10, 2023, 02:17:45 PM
Upcoming UFC event Imavov vs Gastelum should be interesting to watch, and I don't mean just main event.
Starting from prelims we can see Sijara Eubanks and Priscila Cachoeira, and I would starting watching early.
There is Umar Nurmagomedov with his perfect 15-0 record against Raoni Barcelos, and I think we are going to see a lot of early fight finishes.
I am not sure about main event outcome yet but odds on Nassourdine Imavov are not bad at all.

Depends on which Gastelum are we getting this coming weekend.  If somehow he found the fountain of youth and comes out fighting like he did vs Adesanya, he'd easily be a 2 to 1 favorite imho.  But as we know it's most likely not gonna be the Gastelum of old coming out, I guess 1.50 for Imavov is ok.  I wouldn't bet it tho...  I prolly would starting around 1.70.  Grin  And yes, I know it's too much to ask.  But I think that's a fair price if in case Gastelum of old does show up.

Anyway here's the Multi Master.  Enjoy...

1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 01:15:24 PM
What I noticed about sports pickers is that they find exploit any discrepancies in the odds being offered by bookmakers. Making them really good at what they do and a bit of luck of course. Hope someone wilk share methods of doing so.

I think that's another thing, it's called no risk betting because they are using arbitrage betting taking advantage on odds differences of different bookies. I think what OP would like to know is on how to win in sports, like your win rate should be over 52% to be profitable.

I read in some forums asking the similar question, some said that 52% is the key and with a good bankroll management, it's possible to be profitable.

It's 52.4% win percentage you're decent, around 55% you're doing great, around 60% over a decent sample you're a sports betting god.

But here's the thing, to make a living out of sports betting, you gotta have a large enough bankroll.  That's why when somebody asks they want to make 100k in betting sports in a year, how do they do it?  The answer is they should have a 100k bankroll to win 100k.  Grin

And by bankroll, it's the money used just for betting.  If anybody wants to bet sports or play poker for a living, you gotta have at least 6 months worth of living expenses in your bank account separated from your bankroll.

In my opinion "The bottom has already been passed, but there will be no growth this year", that seems true considered the current state of the economy. The buying trend is expected to increase even more during 2023 as the halving cycle approaches, but I don't believe it will make a big impact on increasing the price. Of course the hopes are better, but I can't ignore the current state of the economy which has ruined many plans.

Yup.  BTC hasn't really had two consecutive red yearly candles since it started trading more than 10 years ago.  And as we're mostly looking for trends to take some profit from the market, I don't think the yearly trend will change right now and there's no way to know what's gonna happen until after the fact.  What we could do now is we just go with the flow and adjust when something changes.

And I don't think we should put too much stock in 'the state of the economy' too much anymore.  It'll just make you gun shy and prevent you from taking on good spots to buy.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: January 09, 2023, 03:52:46 PM
Having this obsession with high and very big amounts of returns will not make you rich, it will make you poor for sure.

It's for the lulz and a gamble based on 'the criteria'.  Lolol.  It's not an obession.  And no, it's not gonna make anybody poor if you just gamble small and put around 200 bucks like I did.  It's more like an experiment in getting lucky more than anything else.  As 1000x of 200 bucks is 200k, I think I'll do something in games and rounds if I ever make the 1000x pipe dream.  Cheesy

And here's why I'm hesitant in sharing which project exactly is my bet for the next 1000x.  I'm stuck...  Lmao.  It's down more than 50% from where I bought it from.  But in my defense from my own stupidity, if you're chasing these 1000x gains and in these kinds of projects, this is bound to happen.  They could go up or down by a large percentage in any given week or month.  So brace yourselves.

It could be a good spot to buy tho.  Dunno..  I might if I win my parlays in the EPL and Bellator vs Rizin this weekend.  Cheesy

Its Ok mate at least there are also others that goes down with your investment for a while  Grin

x1000 seems to be difficult to predict but of course if waiting for long term there are also opportunity  Grin

and also I know that you can carry waiting as you have been in this market for long years though best not to seek for x1000 but be enough to reach x10-100.

It's just something to have fun and get lucky with...  Kinda like those outrights bets in sports betting.

Anyway, I'll post a new chart if it's starting to look better.  Lmao.  It's embarassing to show now.  Cheesy Cheesy
1656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 09, 2023, 03:18:58 PM

Gastelum haven't fight for around one and half a year,

At this point in his career I think it's better for him to take a tad longer breaks than what he was doing in the past.  Even though he's just 31, if you base it on 'fight age' he's prolly like over 40 years old.  He's been through a lot in his career and has been an a lot of tough matches.  He's had tough matches going up during his title run and he's had tough matches after the title run when he lost against Adesanya.

I will tell you this tho..  I think he'll retire if he loses vs Imavov.
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 09, 2023, 03:10:45 PM

Newcastle's lost to S. Wednesday... This is insane; I guess Eddie Howe underestimated the Wednesday and was punished for it. Grin

That's the thing with some clubs.  In their 'off days' they tend to take it easy and play at the level of their competition.  They'll def learn from it, move on and do better next time.  But I didn't watch the match tho.  I did hear some stuff about the ref blatantly favoring Newcastle the whole match and still got a loss against a lower tier club.  Lol.

But yeah, I'm glad that's over and done with so we get to watch the real thing next weekend.  It's the Manchester derby ladies and gents.  Smiley  And the North London derby the next day!
1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 09, 2023, 02:33:29 PM
Can we move on from that alcoholic misbehavior to professional fighting? Nothing new happened. It is so expected that when you alcohol enters your blood and brain, you might behave inappropriate. Such things (violence due to alcohol) happen all over the world. Everyone knows that it is bad, but keep on doing same all over again.

Lets better focus on Imavov vs Gastelum event. Kelvin Gastelum - I think this guy is about to be released from UFC. Just look at his record 5 losses in lat 6 fights. Not a very successful record since 2016. Compared to Imavov record, Gastelum is much weaker.

Yup, it's no fun whining about something we can't do nothing about...  Lol.  Let's just move on to the next event and share each other's thoughts on each match and the event overall.  Like Gastelum vs Imavov, at first glance I'd think Gastelum is on his way out but really now, he's a vet he lost only vs the top guys at 185.  Check out his record in Tapology...

https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/41355-kelvin-gastelum

Adesanya, Till, Hermansson, Whittaker and Cannonier are all top guys.

That match up could be closer than what the lines suggest.  I'd still put Imavov in my lottery ticket but he'll be at the third row at most.
1659  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL]What do you expect from Bitcoin in 2023? on: January 07, 2023, 02:16:23 PM
I was planning on making a 2023 BTC price speculation thread but it looks like there already more than a couple.  Lol.  I'll post here as I think it's the best of them.

Here's the thing...  When has BTC ever had two consecutive red yearly candles?

I'll leave this right here.

1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: January 07, 2023, 02:01:57 PM
No point searching for x100 or x1000 as they will be only be created/launched in the next bull market. Look at all those token that did well in last bull run, they are fairly new coins in the market while some that keep on building during last bear market did not perform well. Just keep an eye on what’s happening in the next bull run.  Wink Wink Wink Wink
No point?  I don't think so...  There's always a point.  And the point in this case is to gamble in these little sh*ts while they're low and have fun watching them rise when things start coming around and the market goes in a full blown bull mode.  Lol.

And that's not the best part...  The most hilarious part in these things is they pump higher than a lot of those projects that take themselves seriously.  Grin  Again, it's all based in a premise written in the OP and there's also the Elon factor to think about.  Once that guy starts yapping in Twitter about anything doge related, expect these things to pump.

Anyway, drop your favorite projects that meet the criteria itt and let's see them.  Wink
Dunno if I already saw a coin who pumps x100 to x1000 during a bearish market. So far those that I saw have only pump under x100. It's just hard for them to do it because the confidence of people are still low and there are less hypes around as compare to when the market is on bullish mode because the mood of the people are also positive.

Coins with big potential aren't only created during the bull run and its also wrong to invest on a coin when its pumping especially if it's only a meme coin or similar so yeah, there is a point of looking for them and investing on them now. Meme coins and alike may pump more but they can't sustain it unlike to a serious project so we should be careful at them.

But when is the best time to look for the next great 1000x if not during a bear market, hmmm?  Wink  Most of the coins that have the potential for 1000x will have already risen during a bull market, making us miss some of the move.  It's best to buy into them while nobody is looking.  So...  How do we find them is the question.  What should be the criteria?  I already have mine but if you have something to add, plesse share.

And it's not about if they could sustain their high value.  We shouldn't care.  Even BTC and all of the other alts couldn't sustain their value.  We're here to place our bets then cash out at the heights of the bull market.  The next great 1000x for the lulz.  Cheesy
