Still no response to my inquiry either. That was supposed to be within 48 hours. Give or take a week maybe?
I guess it's a good thing I only have to write off $500 if they just close up shop and run. Either incompetent or fraudulent, not sure what is worse.
If nothing happens before Friday I will begin at my bank to reverse the transaction. Why is everyone in the bitcoin sphere a fucking shyster ?

I'd really like to hear some feedback before sending QuadrigaCX my money....
Ditto they have growing volumes, a large ad presence, and yet hardly anyone comments on them on the main bitcoin nexus. (Although I never checked reddit) So it's part information gathering as much as user experience that I made this thread for and with cavirtex gone there is an opportunity for them to acquire the market if they can earn trust that is. I will do a (necessarily) small deposit or two later this month so we can learn to trust each other  So it's not looking very good so far. 6 days ago, I initiated an EFT deposit. There is no indication of the (?) pending transaction on my account, the funds have not been transferred, and I've had no response to my inquiry of nearly 48 hours ago. Either there's nobody home, or they are as ineffectual as virtex. Colour me disappointed. I'm in a similar situation although I did get a reply it seems they have changed their payment processor, and now the max amount will be capped at 2500$ per transaction so if you withdrew more it will likely get split up. They seem honest it's just the delay that's annoying Well I haven't run into my immense $750 deposit limit yet. That alone made me a little skeptical, but lacking options, I still thought to give them a try. If i can't even deposit $500 though, I might as well deal overseas. At least bitstamp will take a few thousand per deposit. Are you verified ? You can/could deposit withdraw up to 5000$ at once with EFT (might have been reduced to 2500$) Yes, verified. When I talked to them, they asked how big my typical deposit is. I told them that usually $1000-2000, though more or less depending on circumstances. So they said they'd set my limit at 750 to start. Seemed weird to me, but whatever, I did more than my quota of buying in January anyway, and with no deposit fee, it doesn't matter much. So far my first attempt at 500 has been met with... Nothing. Not even a reply to my inquiry. Update: still no response to my inquiry, but 8 days later the money has finally been deducted from my chequing account. No sign of it at QuadrigaCX. |

Part of the nice thing about instamines is that the devs have a lot of incentive to make their project valuable.
I would say that the incentive is merely to achieve one good pump. No value required. A time locked premine would be a great way to fund the development of a crypto project. Like a 10 year long lock. Good luck getting away with a 10 year long pump not adding anything of value to the project. Oh. I was unaware of any such implementation. |

I guess it depends where you are and how much you want to buy. I go to the local precious metals dealer, or mail order from major dealers such as SGB or Border Gold. I would never ever deal with a bank. YMMV |

Thank god the "bit" part was removed from Monero near the launch. I think Monero has the best name out of all the currencies both crypto and government based, and that extra "bit" part was just eww.
This just had to be quoted. That nick, that comment, made my day.  Truly though, Monero is absolutely the best name, even better than bitcoin. No shit, no coin, just money. |

i had this in bitcoin also. and lot of other altcoins.
but on this one i see great future ahead.
so i left my feeling away and i wanted to ask how do others see the future on this.

I had never held an alt before, until I discovered monero last summer. Before I even did much research into it, I just had a gut feeling that here was something special. I still think so, and I hold more than I had ever considered last year  I love that there is steady progress in development, and no p&d. It's almost as if the team and community are working toward a viable monetary system, and not just a get rich quick scheme. i have the same idea here...and it's the first coin i boughtt and will forget about selling it...will have a look on that years later... i might buy more but selling not gonna happen for the next couple of years. to paraphrase something I read somewhere: Monero is everything bitcoin should have been. |

Now it's about time to thank you the developers for taking us through the dark ages from approximately October 10th until now. Your determination to develop the coin voluntarily, when all it did pricewise was bring losses to everybody, is worth of the highest praise.
Coincidentally Crypto Kingdom was launched in 2014-10-10 and its Ancient era ended 2 days ago. While my concentration on CK may have brought short term damage to XMR price (assuming my effect is positive when I do open my mouth), now we have me back in business, and Crypto Kingdom is soon going online.
The future indeed looks bright and I doubt that even this short-term uptrend is over yet.
As HM The King, I establish the Order of Core Team in Crypto Kingdom. All the 7 core team members are awarded the Knight Commander rank, and they have the right to award Knight rank to whomever they wish.
